Can I still get help on v30 even though 30.5 is out? the server hoster I am using doesn't seem to have 30.5 availible for me to use yet
Depends on what hosting service you are using unfortunately
My client is crashing whilst breaking link cables and I do not know why (its unmodified 1.20.1 BMC4 on Curse)
Uploaded crash-2024-08-06_23.34.48-client.txt from @ashen totem to mclogs: https://mclo.gs/ho2lpzb
That was a ugly way to to upload that im sorry
what does a lodestone do? O.o
i dont really know, ive been out of the minecraft loop since the cave update
has anyones nether or end portals stop working?
thankss
npnp
no i use both frequently
30 had issues it's why 30.5 was pushed out last night. what host you using

30.5 serverpack isn't out yet it seems.
So i should just be careful with link cables and wait
Chloe is making some changes and reuploading serverpack with the proper fixes time being you can play or wait yeah
Will an announcement go out when the server pack is uploaded or is that a silent change
you got a curseforge account?
I do
usually not announced in the server here, but sign in on the website, go follow the projects and turn on notifications for the ones you want notifs for, and it'll let you know there are changes, this does not translate to the app at all, so just keep an eye on their website and you'll get a ding
Thx

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.
To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
This video explains the process: https://youtu.be/xMYW1wMbmkM
To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.
The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. Paid Method
We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.
Go here and order a plan which fits you. We suggest 1GB per player but nothing lower than 4GB as the server needs at least 3GB to run.
Go to #server-hosting for more Info!
Free Method
To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.
If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
no, click update on your server dashboard

Gosh, you went on a spree there

The bisect hosting website
HiddenTides assisted me, waiting on my server host to have the serverpack available
the jar menu category
on the left of the dashboard
OKAY SO
I CANT GO TO THE GAME PANEL FOR SOME REASON
EVEN THOUG
I CHANGED THE PASSWORD
AND EVERYTHING
Maybe
I just dont an account
but that wouldnt make sense because how else would i buy the flipping server
you need own the game
hiiii ezekiel
I DO OWN THE GAME
Anyone got a armor/ tools guide
stop spamming caps
What r u looking for, there isn't anything crazy extra is a vanilla+ modpack
Like be a little more specific
Kinda just seeing if anything was better than netherite
Like a tier list kinda thing
contact bisect support
check jei
where do i contact them
What is jei
search thingy in inventory
the support page, you can get to it from the main website
The little menu on the right of ur inventory
please read the tutorial in the questbook
it explains this stuff
I was just asking if their was a tool tier list if anyone had one💀
i have a question i wanted to replicate a run that caseoh did on the map but i cant never spawn at the location he spawned and the cordinated don't match so i was wondering if theirs a picture of the full map
The stats are listed in game, so if you search pickaxe in jei you can see the maybe 20 pickaxes and find out for yourself. Nobody has a guide b/c it isn't worth making one ngl
@viral garden what textbook?
questbook. top left of your inventory screen. lil book
okay i got into the game panel
after I get here now what
nevermind i figured it out
is their a way i can get the full map
Is it like a specific seed or a world download
cause im replicating a run that a streamer did and i can never spawn where he spawned or i cant even match his cordinates it brigns me somewhere else "so i was wondering if their's a picture showing the full map"
it changes for each person and each seed each time used
so i cant replicate a run that he did
not without their world download
Or without the specific seed
so the map is always different?
Yes
world download includes the seed and everything they did in it
oh cause i just wanted to go to the same location and redou it but thanks
If they trying to replicate the run they don't need the world download necessarily
But potato potato
if they want that seed and that set of structure spawning yeah they would
the structures from mods even change if you did same seed 10 times in mc
like i don't want what the streamer did in it just start from the same spot and buiild at the same spo
just ask them if the seed is something they are willing to share
Hey so I just wanted to fire off a question as I couldn't really find an answer for it;
When my friend clicks " Open To Lan " in 1.20.1 BetterMC-Forge the very first time it pulled up an address for me to put in that he could share with me. He had crashed during us playing and now any time he hosts it no longer pulls a name up in the chat, only his 5 - 6 digit port. I'm just curious if there's any way to find the name. Sorry in advance if this ruins the flow of the conversation, I'm just really confused. Hope this is the right place to ask for help, too!
Structure spawns are the same if the seed is the same no? Or do I misunderstand how mc works
he will need to pop in for helping directly as the 3rd party stuff would just take forever
in vanilla yes, in modded no it changes as each mod that has biome and structure randomization it also changes
Oh fun
bet thanks for the help
Y'learn smthn new every day
yea
each mod has their own settings for structures and biomes, even deeper if the dev of modpacks make their own adjustments
Please read the full contents of the #get-support channel for us to provide assistance.
oh i didnt know that i always thought that if you use the same mod pack the map is the same but the spawns are different
They change entirely in most cases, but it'd had some of the original vanilla seed
won't be exactly the same due to the changes from mods and devs
okay cause for exemple he started a world yesterday on the same pack and mod as me but died and i wanted to recreate it thats why
lemme guess, caseoh? LUL
yea
yeah we been seeing his stuff pop up,
ahaha
it's been funny watching some of his stuff. His first run he spawned right next to ocean monument right beside land
I'd bet on a massive influx of downloads due to his playing, doesn't he have a huge audience
60k views constant on twitch
I mean. His chat runs fast as what fortnite man's did.
his chat was flying so fast. I did dm one of his staff though that he sould try following fps guide to help out with stability

Im looking for some assitance in finding the guy who has the portals for the everbright and everdawn dimensions. I've spent 3 hours exploring through multiple terrains and watching videos about what terrain it spawns in. I am playing on version v28 , and the seed is 181627239717530308. I am out of options and thought this was the best place to get assitance, thanks.
Single player world?
Yes
So what you can do, is (if you have cheats enabled, if not do the open to Lan turn on cheats) and do a /locate structure "insert the name of the everdawn/everbright mod" and you should be able to use that to find the structure if a little illegitimately
It's not a perfect solution
But it does work
Thanks. I’ll try tomorrow! 😎

hello everyone, I'm here for a quick question (I'm playing 1.20.1 with BetterMC4 v30.5). why the command /fillbiome doesn't work ? is this only my case ? is there a way to make it work ??
thanks for any halp!
how do i start a server for me and my friends with essentials because every time i do put it in the folder in it just says this is there any way around it?
The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. To learn more about alternatives to the Essential mod, check out this website.
!ws
Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
ahhhh thank you very much
For Serene Seasons, what are the guidelines for building greenhouses? Can I build a multi-tier farm as long as the very top is glass? Or does each layer of the multi-tier have to have a glass ceiling?

doesn't have to be glass either

If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
how is the server hosted
its on 6gb
no as in on your pc or through a rental site
what version of the modpack?
bisecthosting
did you install it yourself, or did bisect do it for you?
how many players you gonna have
5-6
then I suggest 8 gigs ram
just to have a bit of leeway, but it should be running on 6 gigs
a gig per player is perfectly fine, but considering it won't start that's not the reason it won't start
how does one fix this when i try and host through lan
luna may be having issues atm
not saying to give up, I just need mroe information. what does bisect tell you in the console when it stops? are there any logs?
so should i just wait?
yes or make a server
has anyone else been having this problem?

could i get some help please? when i try to make a world it says this? D: i added some additional mods to better mc pack
which mods did you add
you added essential,
essentials, naturalist, sophisticated backpacks, zoological
!ws don't need essential, and it's known to corrupt player worlds
Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
ohhh
get rid of essential, use the one built in the pack

or just make a server, free or paid method

is there a setting that messes with mob spawing in the 1.165 of the better MC modpack

im confused how do I see why my game keeps crashing, I just updated
How common are Aether villages? Flown 14'000 blocks now and didnt find a single village
pretty common
Please read the full contents of the #get-support channel for us to provide assistance.
Sorry about that, I reread and un-installed, it fixed the problem
Hi, I'm trying to update my local server using the guide, but there is no "defaultconfigs" folder in the new 30.5 serverpack. Does that matter?
dont think so
Any idea what would cause them to not spawn?
are you on a world from v28 or v29
well
aether villages was added in v29
so you should have aether villages
but your world could be from v28
when did you start the modpack?
So should I keep the old "defaultconfig" folder if there is no new one in the updated server pack? (v30.5)
nah
just dont add it at all
Like start of June - mid of June
yeah that was v28
you probably generated a lot of the aether on v28
so you'd need to find new chunks to see the villages
Okay so delete the 3 folders and copy the two new ones from v30.5. Gotcha, thanks!
Oh, gotcha. Thought it was V29.
The 14'000 blocks I've went away from the portal I first went to in v30.5. I only went into the Aether once before in a older version and was in a 1000 block radius around the portal, are the worlds loading that far when first going into them? Unsure how the chunk loading mechanics work in mc
well
depends on your render distance
so if its at 12, it'd generate 12 chunks around you at all times
thats about 200 blocks
Alright, thanks for the help
. Gonna check if they load in in a different world. Maybe I just had bad luck and just didn't came across one

CurseForge
3.Have you changed the modpack in any way? (e.g. changing mod versions, adding/removing mods)

have you ever gotten to play on the server
yeah, this happened recently out of nowhere
it started happening today and the server has been working fine until now
its an issue with openapc claims
idk why its saying the uuid is too long though
did anybody try to claim something right before it crashed
nope, didn't even claim anything
okay I'll try that
the only thing that I do that is weird is that I use the server from both my laptop and desktop PC, and it's synchronized by onedrive. Today a message popped up that some files are duplicate so it would download them as "filename_1". I don't know if it has anything to do with that but it's been bothering me.
you can try reinstalling and transferring the world file over

would yall say the forge or fabric version is better?
Depending on what you are looking for.
Personally , I have played both and I think Forge is more polished with all around more mods.
Fabric tends to be updated faster though so if you want newer things for mods and updates it might be for you.
how long would they take to update forge to 1.21
like
how long do they usually take
Looking at change version usually a few months 1-3 it’s more dependent on the mods being updated not just on LunaPixel doing work
ah
The Fabric version is already on 1.21 for BMC
so what are the main differences between the forge and fabric version
im pretty new to this
Valid question, bunch of differences though. If you look at both the modpack pages there is a huge difference in what mods / bosses / blocks are in the games - I found Forge to include the more bosses and buildings that matter so I picked forge
ohh ok
how much ram do you think id need if i rent a server for 5-7 ppl?
if you do know
I have 7 people and I have 7gb of ram
I would NOT recommend PebbleHost , I’m working on switching away from them but keeping world data player data etc to Bisect
General rule of thumb is 1 GB of ram per person but minimum of 4gb of ram

Yh 128 blocks
It is in the quest book so i would like to think he exists
I 100% doubt it but have u tried pciking them up like u can with blocks

So do I lost items or nah if my friend have a host?
no
Okay thanks
He needs to save the world folder if he’s the host of the server - if he does so all you need is the minimap data and you will be good (if that not is in the world folder )
Don’t quote me but sometime the minimap is saved locally ..
- version 1.20.1
- curseforge
- no
- v30.5
- it always crashes
- loading into a world and generating the world
He just enter and give me ip addres and only it so idk
Are you self hosting or using a provider ?
But he doesn’t reinstall it
I just do it
well, we downloaded the same version from the same site, but for some reason it is missing something
send a latest log
or a crash report
I play with friends and my friend host a server and on the server I many items now I uninstall modpack and install again do I lost my items or no? He don’t reinstall antyhgine etc
After saving the world folder and taking a backup , he just needs to re install the modpack on the server
What
you need to send logs.
please
read #faq
Do I just lost my items or nah?
ok hang on
If I reinstall it
no you lose nothing
if you transfer your save
I don’t transfer anything my friend is a host of the server
So I lost items?
If I don’t transfer anything?
you will lose all progress if your friend does not transfer over the world folder
do i just send the text document of the crash
yes
Uploaded crash-2024-08-07_08.46.31-client.txt from @lean marsh to mclogs: https://mclo.gs/q17NGdg
He don’t do anything so I think I lose it
Please follow the performance guide to improve your game performance, as this is likely to resolve your issue.
If he didn’t save the world folder and didn’t transfer the save then yes you would lose items if he did a clean install . …
He need to do it before I reinstall or he can do it now?
how do i get shaders?
go to video settings there is shaderpacks button on top
I would do it before the install , depending on who your server host is they shouldn’t mess with your world save …..
So I think I lost everything
Did he not have any other backups to restore to? Most hosts have automated backup points
I don’t know
Worth asking
what world type play all?
How he can check if he he has?
Is he self hosting on his PC or using a provider ?
and any customizeed
He just enter world and he use open to lan and he gets ip and he give it to me and I join
do betterx
other any changes?
up to you
for better fealling
He just enter world and he use open to lan and he gets ip and he give it to me and I join
Ah so he needs to backup the world himself
How he can do it
make a copy of the saves folder
And what’s next if he copies it?
You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.
just copy the saves folder over to the new instance
He copied it and only it?
mhm
So wait he open folder with saves copy it then join server give. Me ip address and I have items? But he need to do it before I join yes?
why exactly do you need to copy your saves folder here
what are you trying to do that would require a backup
if your friend is hosting then you're not going to lose items
all world data is stored on his side

Yea man , general rule is pre gen world, stay around 12ish chunk load. Run shaders if you have a good GPU and Java loves Ram .
is there a way to enable dragon eggs spawning in chest for the 1.19.2 version?
why flowers looks like this
and pregen world with chunky ?
Yep you can
yup happened to me too but instead its mossy cobblestone stairs
Have you added any mods ?
That's for client allocation. My issue was on the server. The issue was that version 29.5 came with typos in the variables and it would not change when I allocated more RAM. I updated to a new version and that allowed the changes to go through.

World Sharing servers are currently at capacity
If you're receiving the error "Connection refused: no further information" when trying to join a friend through "Start Co-op" or "Host World", it's likely that Luna's servers (used for world sharing) are currently full. We don't have a way to notify you when slots on our servers free up, but you are welcome to try again later.
We understand and recognise that this may be inconvenient, so we recommend in this case to host or rent your own server. For more information on hosting options, type !server.

If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.

is there a way to use essential mod with this or no?>
100% incompatible
No !ws
The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. To learn more about alternatives to the Essential mod, check out this website.
Though Idk if Luna is still having problems

better mc save location ?
I can't
I want to do that cuz 1.20.1 keeps having the missing texture on random blocks when i load my worlds and I have to delete the profile.
But it wasn't a problem on 1.19.2 (So I want to switch to 1.19.2)
but Dragon eggs spawning in loot chests is the 1 point of why I want to play the 1.20.1 version
i mean when i reinstalled and now i don't see my saves
can you screenshot your curseforge instances screen
you might have made a new instance
i deleted the old and installed again
