8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

In theory I can up my allocation to avoid any issue but I'd like to not have to add an extra 4 gigs of buffer to my ram.

It's a huge increase and I was personally having no issues with chunk loader, which insentivises me to play on 29.5, which sucks because I like to play on newer versions.

I am on 1.20.1 and using curseforge. I havent changed the modpack and again its the 30.5 version. I can get past the crash condition if I remove all mods from the mods folder but thats the only case.

If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Hi, if possible I need some help in resolving a server crash that recently occurred. I have filled out the support questions from the #get-support page:

4. What version of the modpack are you using? - v28
5. What version of the server pack are you using? -v28 and I am self hosting on Ubuntu.
6. Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash? - The server crashed while playing, and now crashes consistently on start up before anyone can connect.
7. What steps cause the crash? - I'm not sure exactly but one player was 4000 blocks away while two others just went through the portal to the Aether. We have all been through previously, so this was not the first time the world was generated. Additionally, 4 out of the 5 players online at the time had a Dragon mount from the 'Dragon Mounts: Legacy' modpack. I say this as under the detailed walkthrough section of crash log shows 'Dragon Mounts: Legacy' as a suspected cause for the crash.

8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

open up device manager and look at your disk drives.

if you have more than one and you dont see 5400 or 7200 in one of the names then thats the drive you should have minecraft installed to which normally should be your C drive

xms is what java is allowed to use and xmx is telling java it can use up to the specified amount. so since he didnt have the xms java wasnt given permission to use more

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
