Do you want the log or.. after getting Java 18, making sure I've done everything I can from researching online and using Powershell to run it, it eventually ends with "exiting..." and closes when I click any key

download the server pack, extract to desktop and give the folder a name with no spaces, run the server in PowerShell ISE first because it won't run in powershell original, and then rerun it in powershell after it creates the files, then change my ram allocation in the user file

Hi, me and my friends are playing on modpack "Better MC [FORGE] - BMC3" and we ran into a problem when we switched from v13 to v14. Our endermans xp farm stopped working (endermans stopped spawning even with lightened main island) . Is there any solution to that problem?

I bet this is a very common question but what is the best version of this modpack? Forge, fabric, plus? I have done research and have played on the 1.16.5 last year, so I can answer any questions that could help you help me decide which one to pick

Hi, me and my friends are playing on modpack "Better MC [FORGE] - BMC3" and we ran into a problem when we switched from v13 to v14. Our endermans xp farm stopped working (endermans stopped spawning even with lightened main island) . Everything works only if 1 person is on the server, when someone joins, farm stops working. Normal mobs, in overworld are spawning fine, i even think there's too much mobs. Is there any solution to that problem?

They look nice in screenshots but tend to be a bit cluttered and annoying in survival gameplay

hey yall, ive been trying to play bmc3 and it was working for me about a month ago. now that i am trying to play again whenever i try to load the installation from the launcher it fails and says exit code 1. i have tried what feels like everything: repairing the installation, changing the version, loading up normal 1.19.2 and then trying to load bmc3, fully uninstalling the modpack and curseforge and minecraft. at this point i am lost. sorry for the long message, if anyone has advice i am all ears 🙂

Well... after some more research (and a whiteboard of cost analysis), I think 1.19 is the better version, as it has (almost) all the dimensions from 1.16 (minus atum, which is kinda high difficulty, and the afterlight, which isnt that big). It sucks that the better end isnt compatitable with forge (who would play the fabric version like there is so many less dimensions), but I found some decent end dimension content, so lets hope it is enough. Wish me luck on putting this together (and if you have any suggestions, let me know)

I'm having a problem where I play with better mc 1.19.2 and after 30 minutes the game crashes randomly. Here is the crash report:

basically you are running out of ram and jvm is trying to access memory where it doens't have access to causing windows to kill the virtual machine, it's most likely caused from rubudium as the error says a lot about nglMultiDrawElementsBaseVertex and sodium (rubudium) but it's really hard to know without a heap to analyse so if you have spark you can get a heap for someone to analyse to figure out what is causing the leak or if there is.

Hi - I am sure this was asked, but I couldn't find it under FAQ. I started a fresh server running the newest BetterMC for Forge. It looks like it's spending 9GB of RAM without anyone logging in - I suppose it's either due to the chunck generation, or due to the entities. I went through the performance wiki, and currently in the process of adding in a ModernFix. Is there anything else that can be done to lower this? It might be due to the CPU I rented out, but I'm not entirely sure how the server can just gobble up the RAM without anyone being on it.

From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. I think you just have to try your luck in the Nether. The structure is quite big so its easy to spot when you come across it. I do not remember if the Explorer’s Compass is in this modpack so you can check if thats an option.
