Ok I tested a bit. I had 3 endermite, renamed all to "Bait", flew away a bit, about 800 blocks, when I flew back only 2 were left.

Do the Cosmic cod kill endermites?

I tested the enderman farm without going to far away so the endermite wouldsn't despawn, after a few seaconds I was minecart and experience orb on the map. I'm gonna try to move the endermite up one block to see if it works better.

Ok, I think I fixed it. But endermen definitely have increased reach.

I had to move the endermite up a block. Also I can't stand as close as I did on vanilla because the enderman punch me

6. before trying to play v13, i have regularly played v10.5 without issue. after trying, i cant get past the immediate crash on either version
7. v10.5 gives me a crash report, v13 does not. i will link the first after sending this message
8. i downloaded atlauncher and ran both versions, but of course my worlds arent listed on that one and im not sure how to fix that. so at this point im really only looking to try to fix my 10.5 world since i have another option to play v13
