So, I can't really complete that step because there isn't any crash reports. Everything else matches with versions, launcher, etc. It just doesn't crash, that's not the issue... All the visual textures for mobs are broken, and we can't sit pets down. Villagers all still have their jobs, but they all look like unemployed ones. Parrots we have tamed are all the red color and don't move, sit or stand. The purple foxes from the ever(dark?dawn?) we tamed don't move and we can't sit or stand them. Dragons we have hatched and tamed don't move, until we get on them, then we can't sit them so they keep following us around. Baby cows/sheep/chickens/etc pop out looking fully grown but there's still a growth timer on their head and they don't behave like adults until they actually grow up. Only thing we have done in the past is removed the Folliaths ability to spawn, but that didn't trigger the issue and uninstalling and reinstalling the mod pack entirely doesn't fix it, either...

sounds like the ai improvements mod is causing you issues, as in, the mod is highly prioritizing server performance at the expense of mob functionality (i.e. all villagers look the same, all parrots look the same, etc)
Are all horses identical white horses? If you use carryon to pick up a mob, does it show its real texture?

I had this problem on a test server I was hosting. What worked for me was installing all the client-side JEI addon mods onto the server. I couldn't tell you why or how that fixed the issue, but after doing that villagers kept their profession skins, baby villagers were properly rendered, and slimes had their proper sizes. I can't promise it will solve all your other issues though. Hope that helps!

You can install mc forge on any server. I have mine on google cloud platform, although it's offer limited cpu option to choose from, it's serviceable for my group of friends.

there is a setting called shift lock in your controls, set a keybind for it in controls, open a chest, and press whatever key you decided to set it to while you're in the chest

It is highly advised to not use Optifine, as it is very glitchy, will increase loading times to upwards of 10 minutes, and will decrease your FPS substantially. All Luna Pixel Studios modpacks come with shader support without Optifine via Oculus on Forge and Iris on Fabric.

Simple Storage Networks allow for infinitely expandable storage that can be accessed from any dimension, at any distance. To set one up, you'll first need a Network Root and Request Table. Try to keep this all in one chunk (viewed by pressing F3 + G) and do it somewhere with a good bit of vertical space. Place the Request Table above the Network Root. Generally, the simplest way to gets lots of storage is to make a tower of double chests from bedrock and then a tower of Link Cables which attach to the Network Root. When you run out of space, you will need to make more Link Cables, as one cable can only attach to one double chest. If you're playing a modpack with the Sophisticated Backpacks mod, you can use maxed backpacks instead of chests to conserve space. To access the Network from anywhere with a Crafting Remote, click the map icon at the top left of your inventory then click the next map icon in the same area. Here, you can click to claim a chunk (disabling creeper explosion damage) and then shift click to "Force Load" it. You can tell it's loaded when there's red lines going across the chunk. You can also put the Crafting Remote in a Curio slot (accessed by clicking the ring icon in your inventory) and then bind "Open Remote Curio" to a key of your choice for easier access.

i installed the mod using curseforge. i also downloaded and installed the server files and installed using powershell. when i have the server running and try to connect i get "incomplete set of tags received from server please contact server operator" i searched online and it says the server and client most likely dont have the same mods installed. am i missing something if i installed directly from the curseforge app?

It affects how long a tick can be before the servers will automatically shut down with a warning message. Neither setting is really better for play. -1 just means it will default to the maximum amount of time.

That just sounds like either a corrupted world or its taking a long time to load. Whats the longest youve waited for the world? ive had ones unmodded on Bedrock that take a good 4 5 min to load...
id suggest making a backup of your world before doing much more

A lot of the mods are optimized for at most 1.17, a large portion are done fore 1.18 but even then those werent flushed out before 1.19.
mods dont have as many developers as the orignal game creation so it takes longer.

Hello! To better diagnose your issue, please answer the following questions:
1. Have you modified the modpack in any way? (Adding/removing mods, changing configs, anything in the Resourcepacks menu)
2. What launcher are you using? (CurseForge, GDLauncher, etc)
3. What Minecraft version are you playing? (1.18.2, 1.16.5, 1.19)
4. What Java version are you using? (On Windows: press the windows key, search "Programs and Features", then search Java there)
5. When does the crash happen?
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?
7. Does a crash report generate? If so, send the file here. If not, is there an exit code? (On CurseForge, right click the instance, Open Folder, and go to the crash reports folder. Alternatively, post the log's text on mclo.gs and send the link here)
8. Did you follow the Performance guide in #better-mc-forge pins?

That's not what I said? 1.16.5 has the most mods and includes several backport mods that incorporate features from 1.17 and 1.18. I suppose some people really love the world height changes from 1.19 and would prefer to play with that.
