It is highly advised to not use Optifine, as it is very glitchy, will increase loading times to upwards of 10 minutes, and will decrease your FPS substantially. All Luna Pixel Studios modpacks come with shader support without Optifine via Oculus on Forge and Iris on Fabric.

There's several crucial mods for increased performance which are used in Luna Pixel Studio's modpacks, most of which are Forge versions of Fabric mods. They should only be downloaded from Modrinth, Curseforge, or Github:
1. Rubidium - Sodium port for Forge. Magnesium is an alternative to this, but it's no longer maintained and doesn't support Oculus.
2. Oculus - Iris port for Forge. Allows for shaders without Optifine. Requires Rubidium.
3. Rubidium Extras - Fixes issues from Sodium and Forge to increase performance, adds Ok Zoomer (a Fabric zoom mod), and much more. Compatible with Magnesium.
4. Entity Culling - Prevents mobs that are behind walls from rendering.
5. Sulfuric - Forge port of Phosphor. Fixes the lighting engine.
6. LazyDFU - Makes Minecraft load much faster.
7. Krypton Reforged - Forge port of Krypton. Greatly improves server performance.
8. FerriteCore - Greatly reduces memory usage.

literally every single mod on that list is in BMC Forge 1.16.5 because I made that list and was going off of better mc 1.16.5

Hello! To better diagnose your issue, please answer the following questions:

1. Have you modified the modpack in any way? (Adding/removing mods, changing configs, anything in the Resourcepacks menu)
2. What launcher are you using? (CurseForge, GDLauncher, etc)
3. What Minecraft version are you playing? (1.18.2, 1.16.5, 1.19)
4. What Java version are you using? (On Windows: press the windows key, search "Programs and Features", then search Java there)
5. When does the crash happen?
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?
7. Does a crash report generate? If so, send the file here. If not, is there an exit code? (On CurseForge, right click the instance, Open Folder, and go to the crash reports folder. Alternatively, post the log's text on mclo.gs and send the link here)

every month, for upwards of a week straight, hundreds of people will get Exit code 1 on launch for no reason

the bug fix update that happened last week for better mc forge 1.18.2 made it a stable pack imo

then you will see the spawner
break it
then take care of the remaining mobs
which there will only be around 2 or 3
and if your wondering

If you are on CurseForge and want to switch your Better MC 1.16.5 world to Better MC [PLUS], do the following steps:

install BMC Plus 1.16.5, right click the profile, Open Folder
Right click your BMC 1.16.5 profile, Open Folder
Drag the Saves folder from BMC 1.16.5 to BMC Plus's folder
Drag any mods you want from BMC 1.16.5 into the folder for BMC Plus 1.16.5 (MAY CAUSE CRASHING OR OTHER ISSUES. MAKE A BACKUP FIRST. NOT RECOMMENDED!)

Same process for BMC 1.18.2. Make sure the Minecraft version is the same between your Forge installation and your Plus installation.

The shader is alright not bad stuff just set up my supply camp, i ran around for ever trying to find a nice spot i liked. I ended up playing on the non-plus version only because i was doing a lot of bouncing around tryna make Minecolonies work after Better Minecraft started working

To better assist with fixing an issue, we will need some logs: Curseforge/GDLauncher-> Right click the modpack instance -> Open Folder. For MultiMC -> Click 'Instance Folder' on the right.
Find the file 'Latest' in the 'Logs' folder. If there is a folder called 'Crash Reports' then find the newest file from today. Upload these as requested.

Simple Storage Networks allow for infinitely expandable storage that can be accessed from any dimension, at any distance. To set one up, you'll first need a Network Root and Request Table. Try to keep this all in one chunk (viewed by pressing F3 + G) and do it somewhere with a good bit of vertical space. Place the Request Table above the Network Root. Generally, the simplest way to gets lots of storage is to make a tower of double chests from bedrock and then a tower of Link Cables which attach to the Network Root. When you run out of space, you will need to make more Link Cables, as one cable can only attach to one double chest. If you're playing a modpack with the Sophisticated Backpacks mod, you can use maxed backpacks instead of chests to conserve space. To access the Network from anywhere with a Crafting Remote, click the map icon at the top left of your inventory then click the next map icon in the same area. Here, you can click to claim a chunk (disabling creeper explosion damage) and then shift click to "Force Load" it. You can tell it's loaded when there's red lines going across the chunk. You can also put the Crafting Remote in a Curio slot (accessed by clicking the ring icon in your inventory) and then bind "Open Remote Curio" to a key of your choice for easier access.

2. What launcher are you using? (CurseForge, GDLauncher, etc)
3. What Minecraft version are you playing? (1.18.2, 1.16.5, 1.19)
4. What Java version are you using? (On Windows: press the windows key, search "Programs and Features", then search Java there)
5. When does the crash happen?
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?
7. Does a crash report generate? If so, send the file here. If not, is there an exit code? (On CurseForge, right click the instance, Open Folder, and go to the crash reports folder. Alternatively, post the log's text on mclo.gs and send the link here)
8. Did you follow the Performance guide in #better-mc-forge pins?
