Make sure you have allocated the correct RAM amount. Overall, you can allocate 8gb if you have at least 12gb of ram total. The #faq has guides on how to allocate ram. You can remove the mods dynamicSurroundings / ImmseriveFX and SimpleRPC. In addition, you can try a more lightweight launcher like GDLauncher or MultiMC, guides are in the #faq on how to use them.

For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: 1.18.2 comes with Oculus that gives you Shaders with 90% less load times. If you want to use Optifine then remove the Oculus, Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods then add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

Well ultimerite gives you: double jump, fall damage immunity, fire immunity, wither immunity, poison immunity, void immunity, lava immunity, walk on water and lava, climb walls, etc. Etc. So many bonuses that make it 100% worth it. Incorythe netherite fusion I believe is strongest in terms of the armor bar, but none of those bonuses.
