Our BMC server was just uploaded to the latest BMC version (losing some things but oh well. It's unavoidable), two out of three of the players have been able to download v15 from curseforge and join the server and everything's fine. The last person, when trying to download the modpack, gets just about to the end of the download, then everything is canceled and deleted without any input from them. Is there any way to fix this?
We have also tried exporting the modpack as a zip and having them import it. When they tried that it said "invalid file", but it worked when I tested it on mine with the same file.

Out of curiosity, what happens to keep it doing that after a fresh install of Curseforege and Overwolf?

Literally nobody knows except whichever Twitch intern was paid $5 to create the launcher a year ago

CurseForge Launcher has never at any point been stable

GDLauncher is made by a single person (iirc) who's main income isn't creating the launcher and Overwolf is actively working against GDL

and yet GDL is 100x more stable

Every week or two, tons of people will come in here with "Exit Code 1", usually this is an issue w/ having the wrong java version but they almost always have the right java version installed

switching to a new launcher fixes it, reinstalling 5 times on curse doesn't

someone had spent like 2 hours trying every single thing possible to try & fix it, nothing worked, they downloaded a different launcher & it launched fine

I had to close Overwolf via task manager after the mc launcher opened

i have an 8gb machine, 2gb goes to windows, 1gb to discord max, and then 5gb to minecraft

but now when you install a modpack with "opted out mods" it just opens them in its own lil window and installs them for you

ATLauncher does a similar thing - you click a link, download mod manually, it detects it in downloads folder, and you're done

I mean if you have curse working and you close Overwolf after the launcher launches, there's not much reason to make the switch except pure convenience

I've been playing Better Minecraft Forge 1.16.5 for a while now, but I'm also a member of an SMP and they've decided to give it a go.

Knowing what I know of the modpack, I'm thrilled. However, we really want to have some sort of server economy set up because in the past, everything was just free and share and share alike.

Anyone have any good ideas to what we could use as currency?

Diamonds kinda seem like the go to, but I'd like other ideas if anyone has some good ones.

An economy is hard to set up. Diamonds I don’t think would be a great idea since there are so many better variants and diamonds can be found all over. Hundreds of blocks of diamonds is not hard to come by.

With the new forms of netherite, I would almost suggest netherite ingots/ancient debris to be the better option. Both are easier to obtain than vanilla, but much much harder than Diamond and much more are required for the ultimerite armor. That armor could be seen as the epitome of wealth. There’s also a ton of netherite blocks and such that would show off wealth as well.
