Oh yeah - these are great! Definitely a distinct style, different from both my stuff and original Dead Cells! I like the Queen's rapier and Symmetrical Lance the most, they're super neatly done
The one thing I don't like is that the broadsword for example has a look in your inventory, but when the beheaded uses, it looks completely different

sick, you it's supposed to drop from the elite mob that you killed, you might have to create a respawn rune and fight the mob again

If you get a Prison doorway that also says x:0 z:0, and travel to the Promenade through that, the doorway you have here should open up for you

Do you play with C2ME? There's a "force server thread teleport" or something like that in the Mine Cells config, you can try messing with that cause it used to cause weird desync issues after teleporting and that caused the elevators to break

hello all, how am I meant to find my way to the next level? I'm in level 2, at some point I gave up and went to creative mode, flew around the whole level and still can't find the entrance to level 3... not sure what I should be looking for? By the way I'm on 1.19.2 (minecells 1.5.2)
The 1.19.2 version kinda old ngl. Look around for an elevator structure, you'll get a Vine Rune from a chest at the very bottom. Then return to prison and activate the runic vine plant (pretty much straight ahead from the overworld entrance)

in roguesky if you die you just get back to your spawnpoint and then you start a new run, you're not "locked" inside the dimension itself
I kind of want to do a story modpack/map where you start in the prison with certain items and just have to get out, then you have to do other mods when you get out
A lot of my irl friends have been wanting something more concrete to do in minecraft so i figured a storyline modpack would be fun
You could build a little spawnpoint just outside a Prisoners Quarters portal, I think that'll be the easiest to set up and least bug prone
It could be like a prison cell or something. You couuuuld figure out a way to spawn in the dimension itself but it may or may not work like you expect. The progression code can get fucked up if you do a lot of unexpected stuff to it unfortunately

I was just talking in my personal server how the prison dimension might get removed and replaced with a smaller prison structure to make the progression more fun and intuitive πΆ

Watched the first two episodes! Actually quite fun, sad that the trailer got so much hate
I think the hate came for three reasons: 1 the animation style is not very good, it's kinda mediocre if compared with the Motion Twin version. 2 the story is more fan service than anything else and 3 is in french, and you can only watch the full series through a french version of Netflix
And it seems there have been some controversy involving the game producers and the series creators
Yeah, the "controversy" has more to do with the Dead Cells game itself. I don't have a stance on it cause I don't know all the internals btw

No, JEI won't show it. I only added compatibility with EMI, cause it's the best option for that kind of mod right now, in my opinion. It's also available for Forge if I'm not mistaken, so you could try installing that
Hello, I'm currently playing your mine cells mod through the Dungeon Heroes mod pack. When I walked into the portals inside the world loaded in, but physically none of the textures loaded. the whole world is see through like a missing chunk. Is there any reason for this possibly?
Hey, I'm not sure why that could be the case, but it only seems to happen in a few packs, as far as I'm aware this is not an issue in, let's say, Prominence II? Does relogging fix the issue?

It doesn't matter for bosses, it'll spawn them like normal anyway

Check again if you 100% have enough of every item. There's a bug that only makes it check if there is at least one item, and it doesn't check the actual required count. Update Mine Cells to the latest version and the bug will be fixed.

Yeah
- Curseforge and Modrinth are the safest websites for downloading mods. Lots of fake sites that steal mods and reupload them, allegedly potentially with malware
- If you publish a modpack on CurseForge or Modrinth and use someone's mod, the mod dev actually gets some Rewards System points, which means they are actually compensated for all the months or years of hard work.
- I just don't agree to people reuploading my projects anywhere. Modpacks made on CF / Modrinth don't actually reupload the mod jars themselves, but they contain a sort of list of which mods they should install.
- There have been multiple instances of people using my projects in PAY-TO-PLAY modpacks, which are a) likely against the Mojang EULA b) just a scummy thing to do. My mods are free to download and should remain as such, but only from the trusted sources I provided them through.

The last option is definitely not the way to go - you can't deal with illegal stuff by doing illegal stuff.
Unfortunately many of these sites are hosted in places where copyright laws don't exactly apply, sooo you can't really issue a strike to take it down. Nothing much you can do except bring people's attention to the problem. StopModReposts is a nice (no longer maintained) list of these sites and why they're bad
Don't give the mod reposting sites a chance! Mod reposting is bad for you and the developer. Your computer might be at risk when using mods from reposting sites.

A is definitely not true, I looked it up and see Critters and Companions and Aquamirae
B and C are the same thing basically. Well, maybe not illegal, depending on the applicable laws, but very likely against the terms of Minecraft
I just beat the new version of the conjunctivitis and got to the ramparts and the boss there (it was pretty easy since in the pack i added backpack and used a fire resist one lol) but it was hella fun all the way and i like the crafting system

There's a lot of them, they're pretty common
I suspect that my mods are not working correctly, the mod items appear in the creative, but I haven't found any portals yet, and I've already walked a lot on the map
It might be incompatible with some biome mods but I don't know which ones that could be.
If you have command access, you can try: /locate structure minecells:overworld_portal. If it doesn't find it then yeah, there is some incompatibility

Heyy, I've been looking at your previous video once in a while and did see a mention of the updated showcase in the comments 
Minecells is one of my favorite mods to explore in when I hit up modpack projects
It's a great one for beginners for sure. It's good for learning the combat changes since you have a ton of on the easier side mobs with various ways of fighting and defense.
What I love about Mine Cells is that you manage to recreate one of my favorite games with such accuracy

I think the current approach with using Vanilla Minecraft music in certain biomes works pretty well 
I could theoretically do some inspired dead cells music without copyright issue, not noteblock, but it would have to wait as I'm currently working on 2 projects and irl work is hectic right now

Only thing I noticed is something one of the comments also pointed out - you don't have to be on fire for the Nerves of Steel to crit.
What I meant by "fire" is "shoot the arrow" right after the sound effect

Hey Mim1q, your mob effect visuals don't show up for Azurelib/Geckolib mobs due to how your mixin for rendering targets LivingEntityRenderer instead of EntityRenderer, is that something you can reconcile or is the whole rendering system too dependent on that?

They're implemented as FeatureRenderers which do need a LivingEntityRenderer

Mine Cells is a Fabric mod, you need that if you want it running on Forge 
Also you'll have to get owo-lib and Forgified Fabric API, of course

Install the latest Sinytra Connector, and replace the Fabric API you downloaded with Forgified Fabric API

when i fell in i was stuck in an siting position when i continuesly took damage even poped totems and my wax wear and wick piercer but in the end i still died

it tp'ed me back to the spawn tho but i was surounded by invisible walls and could not move or tp outside
If you're experiencing issues with the Ramparts you might want to:
are the mine cells weapons able to be enchanted?
they are really fun, but some of them (mostly the bows) are not very good without enchants
Yeah I haven't implemented enchanting for bow yet
Most melee weapons should be enchantable just like swords

very minor thing but the bows and shields lack the tags (c:bows, c:crossbows, c:shields, etc) for compat with other mods
Do you know any mods that do add compat with shields and bows through tags and what the compat is? They're completely custom coded in Mine Cells, so if it's some enchants that enhance the bows or shields then thaaaaat probably won't work here
im trying to get the tieredz mod to work with mine cell bows and shields. The swords work with no problem. I also have the autotag mod installed but it doesnt seem to recognize the mine cell bows and shields.
Hmm, I'll try adding them, then. I might do a small technical update soon-ish
having trouble with getting minecells elevator to work. placing the vertical adjacent chains and then placing the elevator assemblies and it doesn't transform into the platforms.

I've been tryin my dardnest to figure out why I cannot enchant the bows from minecells. Is there a trick to it? Or are they just not tagged as bows or something in the game? It's frustrating π¦
I didn't add enchant support yet - you can only put Unbreaking and Mending on them, from the vanilla enchant set π
Support for all the default vanilla enchants (maybe except flame and infinity on some bows) will come in a future update!

also quick "decorative" suggestion : being able to stick a player head to the dead corpses or maybe a nametag for the full skin with some bloody texture
Hey! You may or may not know that Mine Cells is based on another game called Dead Cells - and the torches are actually supposed to be these colors 
They're like that for some nice inside-outside contrast!
And the corpse thingy, hm... Would mean I'd have to refactor the whole block to make it a block entity - we'll see about that

For the majority of devs this is a hobby, asking when a project they're working on will release adds unnecessary pressure. The only thing that increased pressure does is contribute towards demotivation and burnout, causing the project to take longer.
1.20.1 is the sweet spot for modding right now in fabric, so i'd suggest using that version if you want to play with mine cells

mim1q, I like your design of plaguebringer armor set, but I suggest tweaking of eyes gaps for its mask if it's not intended. I use regular Steeve skin's eyes placement and with the current eyes gaps it looks like it covers eyes of my skin completely

Hello. I have a question about the mod - Mine Sels. I opened portals - Passage to Prison cells that are placed on a 3x3 wall. And after I passed 2-3 locations, I thought to make the passage more beautiful. I broke everything and made it as it is convenient for me and more beautiful. But the PASSAGE was not placed on the 3x3 wall. It says that I have already passed this location. And all the colors of the cells are the same. Is this a bug? Or is there a solution? Who has encountered this.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here, did you break the doorways inside Mine Cells dimensions? That should technically be impossible ποΈποΈ
If you have the doorways, you can just place them on the 3x3 walls and then use the Dimensional Runes to change the destination (and the color with that)
This system is due for an update which will come later this year!
What structures are you trying to locate? Only minecells:overworld_portal spawns in the overworld, so try locating that. All the other ones are inside the dimensions

In the current update Mine Cells bows don't support infinity. That's coming in the next one though! The Ice Bow and Quick Bow won't be compatible with it, but if you need you can add them to an item tag with a datapack to enable it

Hello, mimiq. I played with the death knights for RPG series, and I had the idea of the great runeblades from the mod having a flat tip, similar to an executioner sword.
Just thought it would look cool and wanted to run the idea by you.

Just something about it seems fitting to me. Death knight using an executioner sword, you know what I'm getting at right, I'm not stupid?
Another idea I had that sounds a lot harder to implement, the runes on the runed weapons changing color depending on the death knight wielding them. The runes being green if an unholy death knight holds it, red if a blood death knight holds it, so on. So if a unholy death knight uses a runed axe, the runes will turn green for them.
It does make sense, but we have the current look that works well, so no need to change it now 
Not actually that hard to implement, but again - it's Elocin's project so stuff like that is her call, I only made some textures 
runic weapons have cyan runes, theyβre not because of frost, theyβre simply like that. This is done to follow WoWβs design as Death Knights is based from WoW. Itβs also the same reason why an executioner styled sword wouldnβt make any sense for a standard DK weapon

Coordinates not bound means that once you place it, the coordinates will match your position.
If you then pick it up, the coordinates WILL be bound to the position you placed the doorway, and if you move it anywhere else in the world it'll still point to the same dungeon

Any mod that has the option to disable structures should work. Look into Structurify (works with the latest Mine Cells version only)
I already solved it, if you modify the overworld_portal.json file, which is in minecells\data\minecells\worldgen\structure and set the parameter size to 0, they stop generating it. ;v

That being said you should probably install it on your client and configure it there since it has a pretty nice config screen. And then copy the config files onto the server

I'm not sure if this is a prominence issue or a mine cells issue, but I've been trying for a couple hours to load Prominence II Classic on a multiplayer server (i host via bisect, and this issue doesn't arise for any other mods or mod packs) , and it disconnects because apparently mine cells on the server is "outdated". Ive tried reinstalling the modpack and nothing?
What could I do to fix this?
It would seem that this only happens with Mine Cells cause it's the only mod updated in the latest Prominence Classic update 
Have you tried completely wiping the server and then installing the newest version of the modpack? It's 2.8.0, make sure that's the one that gets uploaded to the server
I can give it a try? But would it just be the instance I have Prominence saved on, or the entire thing (including the other instances)?
I mean the server, I'm not really sure how modpack installation on those works, I'm not much of a server guy π
If the server has instances or something similar, then reinstalling just the Prominence one should be enough. Then again, I'm not an expert in this field so this might be something else lol

seems to only happen on servers, not sure if a config got messed up or some permission needs to be changed
happens inconsistently so might just be some server bullshit, i can't seem to replicate it reliably but it just happens rarely on a logon
Yeah, it's most likely some desync issue, previous reports stated that it happens when you exit Mine Cells dimensions, and stays broken until you relog
You can try messing with the "force server thread" option in minecells-common.json5 config

Hey, we went into the mine cells and go to a point where it asked for a βvine runeβ and we searched the whole place but still couldnβt find it, is there a specific place we need to look?
You need to get to the Promenade of The Condemned, and there will be signs pointing you to the Vine Rune along the road π

I'm playing a modpack that friends and I made together that has Mine Cells.
If I go to a portal in the overworld and enter - there's no issues at all.
However, if I enter a portal from any other dimension - the server crashes. In this case - it was in a mining dimension from the mod Mining Dimensions.
I think issue 144 on GitHub is the same problem I'm seeing.

hello there. i am running a server with a bunch of friends. most of them are ahead of me in progression. I went thru the prison, then promenade, and then i just now went thru the orange portal. but i'm being told that i should have meet a boss to give me a "vine rune"?
I'm feeling confused. so other players killed the boss and it didnt respawn for me?

The Vine Rune is in the Promenade, there's signs along the gravel road pointing to it (just turn at the intersection instead of going straight)
The miniboss there is respawnable, it's like a stone obelisk that you have to click
If you want a completely clean Mine Cells experience then you can either:
- Using that link you sent, delete all Mine Cells dimensions. They will regenerate like new
or
- Walk far, far away (1000+ blocks) away, and place down a newly crafted Prisoners Quarters Doorway. It should take you to another instance of the dungeon where everything will be untouched
Ok i found it, thanks for the help. So I just click the grey obelisk and I get my own boss. Is that how it will be for the whole thing? Cuz people have definitely been thru these. I see their block placements. Does their journey affect mine?
It sort of does, yeah. Most likely everything they needed the Vine Rune for is already activated (the little vine ladder that leads to the Ramparts, and one more place)
As long as you have a mod like Lootr, you'll still be able to get your unique loot from chests. And all the monster spawner runes (floaty orange things that spawn mobs) should still be active for you.
If the bosses aren't there, there's a way to respawn them in their arenas with their respective Respawn Runes
I'll do my best to figure out a way to make the experience more unique for each player for the 2.0 update!

Get some slightly better armor I'd say. He attacks more frequently and stronger the lower his HP gets
And - he doesn't actually TP to you, he jumps at you. All of his attacks have windup animations so you can tell when he may jump / do the shockwave / punch you. Figuring out the timing to dodge the attacks would be the perfect strategy.
Also Mine Cells custom shields work pretty well against his attacks if you parry at the right time, especially the Cudgel

I'd say unenchanted diamond or enchanted iron will do great depending on your playstyle.
Figure out some healing in the form of Mine Cells health flasks or something other and you should be all good to go

The circular ones that let you TP between places? They are actually in the mod, just broken and only placeable with commands. Also no functionality for now, but I will be adding them at some point for sure!

No the problem not appear in the mine cells dimensions :c Whenever they try to join my single player with e4mc, they cant load chunks. When i set the chunk distance 2 they can join but when i set it 32 they just fall and get disconnect :/

cause 32 is on crack amount of distance, you don't need to render that much

btw my hardware is rx7900 xtx and r7 7800x3d but if we think the problem is at my side, why they dont have problem with unmodded one :/
Try it with 10, it's the default for servers, and I made Mine Cells with both large and small render distances in mind 
If you need it with as large of a render distance as possible, then try starting at a lower one and increase it in steps, as far as it can go without kicking your friends, but I can't say it'll work consistently.
ye i tried increasing slowly from 2 chunk +3 or 5 but newcomers ? should i do it again and again :c idk how can i handle with it
You will need to make some sacrifices to let everyone play comfortably I guess, I agree that 32 chunks is way too much.
A nice middle ground would be including the Bobby mod and setting the server render distance to 10. Players can then select their own render distance
(they'll only see the chunks that they already loaded server-side in their selected radius, but any new chunks will only be loaded up to the server's 10 chunk limit)
You can also research some server-side performance mods like Lithium, as I see you only have Sodium from the performance bunch. Can't help you a lot with that, I'm not well versed in optimization mods

mincells has like 2 bugs that i know of and this was one of them
Curseforge does give modders a bit of ad revenue, feel like that's a sort of unknown info that people should be aware of 
But Mine Cells is muh baby and I feel slightly bad that I can't work on it 24/7 π
There is a bunch of things that aren't really bugs but I have to take care of them to make the gameplay smoother

yo how to get cursed sword on minecell mods
Prominence disables the sword due to an issue that caused immortality in certain conditions. But if you're playing another pack or just the mod by itself:
- Defeat the Conjunctivius boss. This will unlock the recipe
- Find or craft a Cell Crafter
- The recipe and all necessary ingredients will be available there. Make sure you have the Boss Stem Cell from beating Conju!

Yeah, exactly as I said - Prominence has the sword disabled
Might be something around that, but that usually doesn't cause issues. You can try removing any graphics enhancing and/or performance mods, and see which one getting removed fixes the issue 
The log doesn't seem to mention any errors so this is difficult to diagnose

Well, the dimensions should be manually reset after an update. It's a cool place to build, quite dangerous since the mobs also spawn passively all around
Best thing to do would be gather the stuff from there, a bunch of saplings etc, and recreate a bit of the biome within the overworld, imo
