Quick question because i know nothing with self hosting minecraft in case anyone might know. I use a virtual private machine running ubantu for a different thing that I host for myself. I wonder if that is something I could use to host a minecraft server on instead of paying for bisect or something. Anyone have any experience trying to run the hosting thing through linux and know if it works or not?

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

I honestly only know that i use the virtual ubantu stuff to essentially connect the domain to the folder and docker on my actual PC so that's a good point i could prob just host on my machine mainly. Linux is lowkey still terrifying to me

Only Samurai gems increase crit chance as far as I can tell, and they can't be socketed in staves, looks like bows, crossbows, heavy weapons, swords, tridents. I suspect it effects just critical and not spell critical too since it is worded that way

I used the nature compass to search for a biome and was walking through caves, listening because it was so loud. Another method I used was loading Minecraft, and when a dragon was near me, it lagged. There may be better methods, but I've been using these since version 1.12.2.

I respawned the boss and let them hit me, the bleeding now works and is actually decreasing. I think it glitched because I died while bleeding.

Reputation is arguably very important when dealing with Myrmex. Since Myrmex are hostile at first, the only action a player can take to raise their reputation within a Myrmex hive is to throw resin chunks (corresponding to the Myrmex type) near a Worker; if the Worker does not already have an item in her mandibles, she will collect the resin and bring it back to the hive, raising the player's reputation by 5. The minimum reputation one can have is always 0, and the maximum reputation one can get themselves to is 100.
A good strategy to raise one's reputation within a hive is to throw resin all around the entrance of the hive. If there are many Workers present, they will rush to and fro, collecting the resin and bringing it back to the hive; this will quickly raise the player's reputation.

I don't think anyone is interested by this, but the problem turned out to be that mobs spawned in their hive and killed the queen. I suppose once there's no queen, the hierarchy falls appart and the ants go dummy mode
