To start it
Get spellbook (Flimsy journal or Ironbound tome)
Get inscription table
Find/buy spells (you can craft them in a bit)
put book in table, put spells in, inscribe spells into book
then go to keybinds, check what they are and set to what you desire
if you have enough mana, that's it
you can cast those spells
if you have questions - you can ask

To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.

PrismLauncher -> Select your instance, and click "Edit" on the right. the 3rd tab down will say "CurseForge", click on it, and there will be a dropdown menu, if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it. click "Update Pack". Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.

Hello, i tried playing otherworld yesterday with a friend and we found out you need to host the server in singleplayer, thats what we did, but when my friend tried joining or vice versa it didnt let him or me join to the server, and it also popped a message saying "an error occured with luna" or smth like that

This one is for anyone encountering issues with installing the server pack and playing. Any issues with mod mismatches, missing mods, or compatibility issues with the new update v4hf
For reference, I installed the server pack this morning 1/15/2026 at around 8:30AM and encountered these issues.
After updating to v4hf (locally) to hop on, I encountered a few mismatches as seen in the screenshot and tom's simple storage appeared to be missing.
All I did to correct them was download the proper versions and missing mods in curseforge to my local machine, then copy and replace the ones in my server.
After doing that, those errors were resolved, but I ran into another error with Marium's Soulslike Weaponry. It said that my version was different, but they were the same. This just points to a config mismatch. To fix this, I replaced my server's configs for anything related to Marium's Soulslike Weaponry (filename is something like soulsweapons) FROM my v4hf download INTO my server config files.
After that, all problems were resolved and all my friends who downloaded v4hf can easily join my server :D

If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

One of you hosts, so the ping will be determined by the hosts internet. So the one of you with the better PC/Internet should hosts. Its easy and free but the only downside is that once the host is offline then the world is offline

Create has the best inventory management system in the pack, bar none. If you just want a big storage, make a massive item vault, it holds like 150k items, and it can store unstackable items as well so you don't clog barrels. Also frogports enable automatic movement of items, so you can send all your trash gems to get automatically crushed for materials

I can use a Create Vault to store loads of items, with a Toms storage mod crafting interface attached, allowing me to deposit, remove, and craft with the vault. Im not sure this is intended, but appears to work.
