Structures, but if you can find none, there are still ways to force infected to evolve

Trap them, then either suicide to nametagged ones 3+ times, or feed them snowmen for kills (snowmen still draw aggro after attacking them)

You can also turn regular mobs into infected, once you have a spore weapon enchanted with Unwaveing Nature

I managed to get the whole set + weapons in a version of fear nightfall with neither the structures or mob targeting, so its definitely doable

Is there a way to stop structures from spawning? I am having multiple staircases spawn and I would like to limit it to one.

Is there a way to make the weather change less frequently?

Btw it's the "Enhanced AI" mod that does that. Despite I like the added challenge, such as zombies breaking blocks, the ammount of mobs turns the horror atmosphere into action packed gameplay more suitable for "Hardcore modpack". I removed that mod and it slowed the pacing down a little bit, helping with atmosphere and the buildup

From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:

hey guys. this might not be about the modpack itself but im having an issue every time we close the server and start again. basically, we are at the start of chapter 2 but everytime the server closes and opens again, chapter 2 stops being visible and for the chapter 2's first item it says " locked: uncompleted dependencies "

Plus you can prevent it just by placing carpets around the cradle

Brains from Spore can be evolved into proto hiveminds, but only with an active flesh mound close enough - i'd avoid using them as decoration

It can spawn with a low chance in black argilite deposits

Dark Iron, which is crafted with corruption, is a different metal

This Dark Tower dungeon also often has it in chests as well as some ore blocks at the top level

Haven't been able to figure out why, but sometimes I load into a world and break a tree, it just bricks the entire game. Nothing after will register, I'll mine blocks and they disappear but nothing drops. I tried waiting because lag sometimes does that but it never 'catches up'. When I close the game it'll get stuck in 'saving world' forever until I alt f4. If I load back in I'm typically back near the first tree I broke and it doesn't repeat.

I don't know if it will be server side only, but you can disable the miner zombeis in the Improved AI mod config
Some spore mobs can break blocks, and there is an option to turn that off in sporeconfig

I don't know about the scp mobs breaking stuff, but there might be an option for that

From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:

3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.
