I'm personally in favor of HEAVY penalties vs. total destruction.

I think the HRZ will see a lot more action and excitement then if it's perma death.

Wow much more indeoth thought on this is needed by little ol me. Lemme think on this seriously.

Initially I was in favor of total destruction in HRZ mainly because I like the idea of ships getting more rare and the supply being balanced with very expensive blueprints and resource requirements to get the ship back. Rebuilding a xxs no big deal but rebuilding a capital is gargantuan task.

However I also feel like ships/fleets are these discrete packages of value and total wiping out of that doesn't make economic sense although don't go to danger zone if u r worried about it. Passive players that see fleets as asset blocks can stay comfortable earning whatever yield in the safe zone and for those daring pirate pilots in swarms of cheap xxs raiders they might catch a big fish 🐟 cocky and confident in his capital ship. The economics of HRZ will be wild!

I need to really dive deeper into this tbh. Heavy penalties like u describe is one happy solution. Also the resurrection powers of OG ships is interesting to me too...

My other big concern is losing players.

Let's say there's a guild there and they get wiped permanently.

Will they come back?

I think the % of players that rage quit after getting nuked in the HRZ will be very high.

One of SW4G's main concerns is the potential economic consequences.

To tune the HRZ properly, the rewards need to be extraordinary.

If there's 1 guild that does end up dominating the HRZ, the power creep could rekt the game.

Without going to full destruction for GAO ships, a considerably long timer to respawn your ship after hrz destruction would make sense. And the more ships are destroyed, the longer it takes to rebuild them.
If an entire DAC worth of capitals and commanders get wiped out, it should be months before we see them again in the HRZ with those same assets. Essentially taking them out of the game and losing out on revenue from these ships. Insurance premium could go up over time as well if the time penalty is not harsh enough.

Crafted ships simply get destroyed to avoid oversupply and ensure resource burn.

Personally think adaptive AI NPCs are the solution to this. The more players invade the HRZ the more iris strikes back, the tougher NPCs and the environment get.

That's why no smart money is coming into Star Atlas—every update seems to be a regression. There was a hidden "reload" button that only appeared when you clicked the "fleet" button on the right side of the screen. This was the only button that helped when my fleet got stuck after "stop mining." But I don’t understand the person who decided to get rid of this reload button—or maybe it’s just better hidden now, I don’t know. I’d pay $100 if they’d come here and explain this move with logical, rational arguments. And from now on, when your fleet gets stuck after "stop mining," the only workaround left is to list your fleet for rent at a high price and then cancel the rental. This action forces the SAGE UI to resync with the blockchain...

No problem on my current i7 pc but when I try and enter my passphrases it pulls up a bunch of addresses which is ok but I am not able to see the import button after selecting my wallet on page3. Page one has the button but the address is on page 3 and info looks truncated and no button. This is a new i9 pc I just fired up a week ago and no issue with the exception of the import passports page.

This is a known bug in the game UI. The list gets longer and longer until its to long for your screen.
As a workaround, you have 2 options:
a) Create a new wallet for the game
b) Import your Seedphrase into a Solana wallet (for example Phantom), select the correct account there and export it's private key. You can then import this private key into the game.

use the private key not the seed phrase, some old wallets show a lot of different wallets on the derivation path, best to use the private key, to get the right wallet

Are you trying to do this with phantom wallet? A few months ago they had an update and suddenly I was having issues like that. I had to create a solflare wallet and connect it to my phantom wallet and when I logged in using solflare it now works fine and normal.

Near as I can tell, you made the Lowbie more expensive to use with mining fleets, it's the only difference that would explain the increased cost in food of mining (with fleet setup it has gone from 151 food, to 251 food to make a full cargo hold on the abovementioned resources). Hey, I have the same issue every day right after “stop mining.” The only workaround I’ve found is to list your fleet for rent at a high ATLAS cost and then immediately cancel the rental. This forces the broken SAGE Labs UI to resync with the Solana blockchain. Hope that helps!

If you're having trouble with fleet creation or getting failed transactions, here’s a workaround that might help:
✅ Start by creating a fleet with just one ship.
✅ Once the fleet is created, you can add more ships to it.
This method has worked for others and might help avoid the transaction issues for now. Hopefully, the devs will have a full fix soon!

Hey! You’re absolutely right, cheating is one of the biggest threats to the integrity and long-term success of the Star Atlas economy. The team is very aware of this, and anti-cheat measures are part of the roadmap as we scale up.
As for WorldID (Worldcoin) or similar identity systems, there’s no public information about that integration at the moment. KYC (Know Your Customer) and human verification are indeed big topics in the Web3 space, and the team is closely following industry developments. Ultimately, any system they implement will aim to strike the right balance between security, accessibility, and the principles of decentralization that Star Atlas values.

Just a small addendum to that. Sage UI doesn't really support creation of multiple accounts.. sure, you could be fast and click right away to create something, but it generally after a second directly switches to profile selection if you already have one. You could create more profiles programmatically however.

But yes, the original idea was to have multiple accounts like characters under one wallet (although it is not necessary, with player profile system you can combine them in any imaginable way)

Once you sell or buy something you get certificates for the resource.
Normally they get automatically converted into resources, but sometimes the transaction fails. Then you get the certificate instead

Or if you want to sell, simply sell the amount of resources you have as certificates again

You should have one in your inventory. If you dont try deleting cookies and cache and try again (you’ll loose your progress so far)

i had a few ships in a fleet i decided to break up. so disbanded and tried to create new seperate fleets. but now i cant see them anyway. the ships dont show up in form a new fleet, the sol rent was taken out of my wallet, but i dont see the fleet anywhere. i hard refreshed twice and still nothing. is this a thing like wait 5 minutes or do i need to submit a ticket?

Wenn MetaMask eine 12-Wort-Seed verwendet hat, wird daraus eine neue Solana-Adresse generiert.

🧠 Wichtig:
Damit Solflare dieselbe Solana-Adresse erstellt wie MetaMask mit Snap, muss der Ableitungspfad (Derivation Path) identisch sein.

MetaMask Snap für Solana verwendet standardmäßig:
m/44'/501'/0'/0' → Das ist auch der Standardpfad in Solflare ✅

🔹 4. Adresse vergleichen (optional)
Öffne MetaMask Snap → Solana-Adresse kopieren

Will the browser based version of the game go away? If so when. And if there is a reference link please provide. The reason I ask is because I like Sage. And if Holosim is a window into the future browser game I will learn and play it. I am not in to fighting, flying and physical mining. I enjoy the commerce and automated mining side of Sage.

Gameplay all converge to the UE5 version of the game. No specific timeline but basically, what we have in sage will be in UE5, including the commerce side you prefer atm.

I am able to manage several fleets in sage now. And with Sly, Eveeyes and personal spreadsheets I am able to put my ships under AI control so I can make atlas and do other things. I hope the simplicity of Sage functionality is in the UE5 Version. Also I cant wait to get knowledge in advance of how combat is going to work and how to avoid it and still make a profit. I am sure there are other Galians like me who are not in to the individual play in UE5 and want to just mange fleets and put them under AI control and make atlas. Thank you. 🌞

Totally understandable. And I'm pretty sure, most, if not everyone wants to have an advance knowledge on how combat will work in UE5. Any significant updates will be shared in the right time.

Of course, all the community tools like SLY, eveeye will have to adjust as the game progresses.
