welcome aboard - first of all, don't trust DMs, team members will never DM you. Stick to general chats and the official support channels

the game is currently split into 3 parts:

1. Star Atlas "Showroom" - you will need a good gaming pc for this one and a code for the private beta. A Mod can send you one if you want to try it out. You don't need any crypto assets to start playing it. Has 3 main modes, Showroom with racing track, Dogfight with ships in space, Third person shooter and some experimental mods like racing with bots that fire at you. Currently no economic loops in that version of the game, there are ships on free rotation that you can test out in the game.

2. The main economy game - SAGE Starbased ( Star Atlas Golden Era Starbased ). Runs in the browser and there are some community made tools to make some ot the actions automated. You will need to buy ships, some resources from the marketplace and some solana for tx in your wallet to start playing it. You can get good returns if you enter with a strong and balanced fleet. I recommend checking out the basic mechanics of the game with an xxs ship first to get the hang of it.

3. Faction fleet - this one is the first version of the in-game economy. You stake your ships passively load them with the basic r4 resources ( fuel, ammo, food and toolkits ) and get Atlas in return. It is a good option to have if you are with a few ships and want them to be available in Showroom

sage rewards been very good for a long time

but 2 issues atm the faction fleet is broken, since yesterday, you might not be able to unstake today

and also it depends on your ships how much you can earn in sage

so small players struggle since you have to make more than the txn costs

also if you move over watch some tutorials and read some guides

you need to make a plan on what to do in sage

metas change every day

It's first come, first served. It doesn't matter if you're a whale or if you're a small player. If you have the resources to craft and start the craft when it releases, you should be able to get the item.

Is it possible to move some transactions on chain ? like say you have a game loop that you want to mine at your CSS.
But you have a small fleet so this wil cost more than you earn.
So instead of paying a tonne of trx fees for each loading-mining- unloading loop, you have an option to "tell the game" : " i want to perform 20 mining loops", and regardless if you are running on a bot or otherwise, you kind of lock in your fleet for 20 loops, and SAGE store the information of every miining loop ( how much food,ammo, fuel etc) you would have spent.
But this happens off chain, so at the end of your 20 loops you are only charged for 1 mining loop ( so that like 8 trx i think if you mine at CSS). O maybe even just 1 trx..

Is this feasible or should I apply for head of the crackpot council ?

quick question that needs more brains then I... I bought a ship off the marketplace. armstrong imp, i had troubles purchasing it, took about 5 or 6 attempts for it to actually go through without there being an issue. once purchased i moved it straight into sagelabs wanting it to go do its thing. this is where another issue arose. it took me 15 to 20 attempts to finally get it into the starbase. once in the starbase it took me 2 days and 50 attempts later to actually get it into my hanger. ive tried undocking it and it would not let me complete the action always a prompt telling me transaction may fail. i finally got it moved by adding it into another fleet, that was a mistake because now my whole entire fleet cannot move, cannot unload or add cargo, cannot undock, cannot disband. literally no action i make can help me. so here i am asking for help. also another issue the same day i bought that ship... i am involved in Zed.run have been for years, once i bought that ship i also am unable to sign into my profile (stables). but this just says "fetching my iinfo" and could try for hours on the same screen. what are the chances that the IMP i bought was a bug or a fake or some form of virus. nothing has been taking from any of my wallets or profiles YET. i ran virus scans on my PC and cleared all Cache and cookies, extensions are all fine aswel. hope someone here can help out, im stressing

How likely will we ever be able to get the entire community (200k strong at least) in the same instance of the game? Is it even possible with Real Engine 5 graphics?

Didn’t SA do a 5k player beta test awhile back? I never heard how it went or if it’s realistic to expect 1000s of players in the same world

Also anyone have an update on what the FX recovery looks like? I thought SA assets were pegged and so the timing of mark to market shouldn’t matter too much. Expecting a full recovery?

Team had a successful last couple of months (sold multiple titan ships valued at 5 million $) and should now have runway for multiple years (although they didn’t disclose anything officially)
