Basically you need to unstake them from faction fleet and bring them in your wallet. Then create a profile in SAGA ( https://based.staratlas.com/ ) and import the ships from the port of entry menu in your CSS ( central space station ). You will also need some R4 resources to start doing stuff with your ships. For example mining will use fuel, ammo and food.

Hey all, got a couple of questions on the future mechanics of the UE5 game, so I understand if no answers available!

1. Regarding combat and ship damage / repair. Will ships be destroyed permanently, or will losing a fight mean lost cargo / a hefty repair bill?

2. Regarding crew and multiple ships, is the goal to be able to have a player pilot one ship, and have your AI crew control the other ships you want to bring with you? For example, I'm in my Compakt Hero, and I have two Pearce 5's to back me up / accompany me, but thier crews are 100% AI.

Looking to expand my roster soon but it would be awesome to have any info possible on these before I do!

So I made a mistake, I started a little too fast and was trying to begin playing on the sage browser before I had my profile setup completely. I choose the ONI faction when on the sage site initially, then when I realized I had to setup my profile first I chose MUD as I changed my mind. Now on my sage browser it thinks the ONI is my faction but my profile is set to MUD so I can't use my ship. Im not quite sure what to do?

Also when trying to claim my game code that doesn't display anything afterwards, I ordered a starter pack if any of that matters

been watching the info you sent me thank you , just one quick last question , (I don’t need an exact answer just an approximation ) if I have 1 rainbow ohm , 3 pearce 5 and one opal jet , approximately how much atlas can I expect to make daily playing as an amateur in sage labs ? And do I need to spend lots of hours playing ? Or is it more a game where you spend 15 min each day and leave your fleet working with a proper strategy ?

For your first question, it really depends on what activity will you be doing. If you are just going to mine materials and seel them to the marketplace, or if you will scan for SDUs and also sell them in the marketplace, or will you be crafting for rarer materials and sell them again in the marketplace, or will you be contributing to the LP for ATLAs, of a mixed of everything, it's very, very dynamic.

As for the hours spent, if you are not using any scripts that can automate the activities in SAGE but you want to maximize returns, then that will take a considerable amout of time.

Maybe you can try with smaller ships first to just have a feel for the game

at least that will give you an idea on the different activities and from there create a game plan

Paralles was running Windows in a vm on the Mac if I am not mistaken. I am surprised you managed to get the game to run at all. If your Mac is Intel based and you have the supported GPU ( Some old Macs had like 1080 in them ) you probably can try Bootcamp ( so you boot Windows 10 directly on the hardware instead of running it inside a virtual machine). Do you know what kind of hardware your Mac has CPU and GPU wise - if they are not covering the min requirements for the game I would not bother trying Bootcamp Win10 at all

1. you can enlist your ship (like staking) to earn ATLAS
2. Starbased is the web-version of the game where you can mine, craft scan etc.
3. There is the unreal engine 5 version of the game where you can do racing, dog fighting and sometimes FPS when the mode is enabled

in total we got two results:

1. if you re connecting via JOIN by clicking the HOST link - after loading screen few seconds you re appear in main screen
2. if you re connectcting via JOIN by SESSION ID - after few secs loading screen you re in main screen but without any buttons - so you have to close ther game

BONUS result: strange thing - if you got one of result I mentioned below you will not find this HOST again in the list even if you restarted the game after fail

you have the option to withdraw the ship from faction fleet at anytime after you enlist it there

keep in mind that you can also use the ship in SAGE and play the game more actively

in order to withdraw the ship you will need to:

1. Have enough toolkits to repair the ship to 100%
2. Click on manage fleet and the select withdraw - if you have any remaining fuel, ammo and food they will be returned to your wallet. And also enough toolkits to repair the ship will be taken out from your wallet if it is not on 100% health

1. Faction fleet - you feed it R4 ( fuel, ammo, toolkits and food ) and in return it generates Atlas
2. SAGE - you use R4 to mine, scan, transport and you can sell the resources on the market, or use them to upgrade bases*

If im running a small fleet of say 2-3 medium ships and 4 small ships, does anyone have any rough idea what kind of medical support that would require? If i wanted to be able to look after my own stuff, would a Calico Medtech be sufficient? Or would it make more sense to bring a Calico Evac instead?

I already have a couple of Pearce R6s for repairs, but curious to hear some thoughts on rescue and revive stuff.

Hello! After a bit of a "vacation" I have returned to star atlas to find a new version of the game. I have been working on getting my starbases cleaned up on the old version and transferred to the new one, but now I seem to have 2 ships stuck in the old version. They are currently undocked at the CSS, and every time I manage to log in, as soon as I go to dock them, I get the message that service is disconnected and should return shortly. Okay... wait for service to resume, and the same deal.

This has been occurring for the past 2 days, and I would really like to transfer these assets to the new instance of the game. Any help?

You have to load the food in your cargo of your fleet (you do that in the hangar). Not a lot, usually less than 4%

My community invested $46,000USD in ships & stakes & we are currently generating $6 a day in ATLAS rewards. For this I have to login & painstakingly claim all resources & re-fuel the ships every 2 days. Apparently $46k isn't enough for $6 a day in rewards & I have to also contribute my labour.

So I have 2 questions because we are considering selling up at market rates & moving on

1. The roadmap doesn't have any dates on it, when can we expect to see a playable game?
2. Why can't you automate the claiming of resources & re-fueling of ships? Games are supposed to be fun & there is nothing fun about this aspect of Star Atlas.

Hey Mark, it sounds like you're still in Faction Fleet. Faction Fleet no longer produces as much ATLAS as it used to because we're sunsetting it in favor of SAGE Labs: Starbased (More active gameplay instead of the more passive stuff that faction fleet provides).

To answer your roadmap question, we don't do dates. We work fast and update our games as we go, that's just how we do it here at this point and time. I'm sure in the future we'll be better at giving dates but for right now, we're focusing on shipping fast and updating faster.

Then you asked about a "playable game", that completely depends on your definition of "playable" I suppose. Right now:

1. People are earning and playing SAGE Labs: Starbased at based.staratlas.com
2. We have a private access game on the Epic Games Store that's playable right now with the ability to see your ships in high fidelity, fly your ships, do time trials and practice your 3rd person shooting against bots.
3. We just also performed a stress test on the multiplayer tech that we use that had over 1,000 people in a single instance together.

All that and we have a lot coming up that is super exciting.

Also I preload the ship wiht one inventory and the base to avoid token account creation as that seems to be the order which wont auto confirm but then the sly program always unloads all the inventory so then when it reloads it wants to create a token account.

It was kind of a bullshitty thing they did with faction fleet reducing the rewards, but not reducing the amount of resources required by the same percentage. Makes no sense and takes away the users freedom of choice of how they want to earn atlas. Now you have to jump through a bunch of other hoops and unfairly compete with whales with this convoluted LP rewards process that gives you nowhere near what you had the ability to earn before.

I don't know the size of your fleet but I have one medium sized fleet and I can earn .05 percent daily on my investment with minimal time investment. It does require thinking though.

I think that you can still buy mining claims and sell the raw resources without "thinking" too much or investing too much time and yield a decent return

I didn't launch the op. I've just figured out how many crew and resupply it would figure to process the craft and it appears simply that i don't have enough ressources to do both crafting and mining at the same time. Not enough ships, not enough crew...So i guess i'll have to grind more in order to scale up. But i'm used to do this in SA.

When i saw the time required for the process (just had an idea by tinkering a bit with the crafting ratios), i just needed a confirmation. So i guess i'll stay an humble miner and confine to a more modest economic loop until i can get the means to do more ambitious things. Thanks for your answers anyway

just remote connect from phone to pc, you are most probably going to use the automation anyway so you will need that running on the pc and controlling/monitoring it from your phone. Something like Google remote desktop should do the trick, just make sure your google account is secured and you have a strong pin

nah, he is trying to use phantom integrated browser on the phone as far as I can tell. The same is with solflare app on phone. That is why I suggested the brave browser with the integrated brave wallet - so far it is the only one I found that has the option to open Starbased in desktop mode on mobile

Brave is not ideal too, because you are forced to use the brave wallet which needs to be a bit better with showing info on approving transactions. It does work for me but I only recommended if you know what you are doing

What I have suggested are only workarounds so you can kinda play starbased on mobile. Not sure if it will be fully supported on mobile one day, as far as I know it was never intended to run on phones, team did some optimizations for tablets in some of the previous versions but as it seems it is going to become even more complicated game and there will be another app that is intended for mobile - not sure if they gonna optimize it soon.

Also, may I ask why are you insisting on playing it on the phone? Do you not use any automation for mining and crafting?

I have pc but i not touching that its running 24/7, i have a couple hours at home but thats it i need to be able to use my phone. Sage worked great, but no point not optimizing for phones, there ate ton who only got a phone, remove that option from user we will never reach a high playerbase

The change they did was working the scroll button and some other zoom/ui but its still not playable

Try to setup chrome remote desktop - you need a google account to use it, chrome browser with the official google plugin on the pc and the chrome remote desktop app on the phone to connect to the pc.
