If anybody is wondering how to mine after forming the fleet then follow these steps. (1) left click your fleet that you want to mine (2) right click the asteroid to bring up its context menu and select mine.

This may seem straightforward but if you select the asteroid belt without an active fleet selected then it will just have the "observe" and "details" option. The fleet will get unselected as the active fleet if you left click anything. So the idea seems to be using the right click to tell the fleet its targets. It is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it.

Okay one more tip. There doesn't appear to be a "unload cargo" button. You have to (1) open your inventory (2) manually drag and drop it from the fleet. However, the drag and drop appears to be very wonky right now (at least it was for me using chrome under linux mint). If anyone is having the same problem then just hold down the left mouse button while you drag it and the fleet window will continue to move. The fleet window eventually "sticks" and then you can move the cargo out. The lower left corner seems to be the most successful. EDIT: or you can just double-left click it, me--> 🤦‍♂️

Got the same problem when trying to craft. Then tried again and it did work.

No Atlas was charged for the crafting of the GTs, so I was wrong the other day about all crafting requiring Atlas. The SDUs crafts only need the transaction fees and like a rent fee in Sol that is returned once you finish the craft.

No, no need to take it before disbanding, it will be added to inventory automatically if you disband the fleet. But you will need to go claim the token account for the fleet from inventory after you disband ( the red ribbon msg - this will return your rent fee for creating the fleet )

yeah disable prime all the time, its 15% premium and token account creation is in atlas instead of sol, when these close you get sol back, so it feels like its draining atlas all the time

And obviously, disabling Prime allowed transactions again. So you're saying that you get a part of the SOL back when you close the account ? It gives you SOL back in some instances and actions (cannot remember which actions exactly but it feels reassuring when it does as the tx fees in SOL aren't exactly cheap with the tiny bull run on the crypto market)

So you confirm disabling Atlas Prime is the good option ?

so each time you transport or mine things, cargo token accounts get created for your fleet these usually get closed when you unload, but when you disband a fleet a message will pop up in the starbase that you have open cargo accounts when you press it you get the solana token/renting account fees back

everything is a solana txn 0.000005, expect solana token account creation, these are 0.02, but you get the token accounts back as soon you close them, its an automated process, so as soon you interact with any asset it creates token accounts, same goes for fleets and cargo

so with prime all these are in atlas and the refunds you get in sol

Just to be certain, for example I think as MUD, our rare material is diamond? I forgot so just say A, and this is within our territory. So there's no PVP or risk of our ships destroyed yet? Also, is it safe to go to the other 2 races territory to mine their rare material B & C?

Then the system asked me for 150 atlases for ships. So I paid. The ships now appear in the starbase hangar. but I can't figure out how to withdraw them back to the wallet. please help me.

Hi, first of all don't trust DMs from server, lots of impostors lurking.

To your first question - Nope, you can use the ship either in Faction fleet or in Labs. Currently if a ship is staked in Faction fleet it will be also available in Showroom. The same is not true for Labs.

To your second question - Yep, there are some specific ships that operate a bit different in Labs and in SCORE ( Faction fleet/Faction Claims )

For example - the Miner ships can also be staked in Faction Claims and generate R4 for you. Currently it seems better return of investment than staking this type of ship in Faction fleet. Also the Miner ships are unique for Labs as they do not consume ammo when mining there.

Another ship spec that is unique is the Data runner spec. They do not consume toolkits when scanning in Labs.

but obviuosly, the more you invest...the bigger and better ships will be available. Probably more ROI and faster with a bigger ship or fleet than just 1 small xxs

The next update in showroom will add the race features, so if you want to participate I guess a racer ship should be a good option. For mining in Sage you need a miner ship or fighters, and a freight ship is good to transport the resources. For scanning, the Data Runners. Etc. something that i have noticed as well if i subwarp back to the css i always seem to end up in the adjacent sector 4 minutes away. Hm, don't know, I am not experiencing that issue. My setup is Chrome + Solflare on Windows. Maybe you can try different browser or check if Phantom works better. I am about to check if switching to Phantom will resolve my auto-approve issue

I would recommend checking out the https://discord.com/channels/789226204980707409/848916462202781696 chat room - there you can find some videos with tutorials/info and also some useful community made tools for different things like crafting recipe tools, automation for scanning and mining, interactive maps, economic charts and market overview data.

A couple of things you probably want to do right away:

1. Disable Atlas Prime - there seems to be some issues with it, also it will charge you premium for your transaction fees so there are currently no real advantages using it. ( keep in mind that you need to disable this in all the available game interfaces LABS v1/v2 and SAGE 3D )

2. If you are just starting out - best to check the old stable interface of LABS v1, it is available here: https://v1.labs.staratlas.com/
   Both https://labs.staratlas.com/ ( LABS v2 ) and https://sage.staratlas.com/ (SAGE 3D) have been recently released and there are still some bugs that need to be fixed there in order to enjoy the experience to the maximum. I still encourage you to check them out - they are basically the same game with different interfaces so you can even have them open all at once.

You can use Atlas for the following:

1. Stake atlas in the DAO - this will generate you Polis passively and depending on the amount will give you a discount on the marketplace trading fees.

2. Use the Atlas as gas fees in Sage/Labs - would not recommend to do that because it charges premium, best to turn off Atlas Prime and use SOL for gas fees in game at least for now.

3. Use the Atlas for crafting fees ( the non-SDUs recipes for crafting require Atlas ), also best to keep some amount in your wallet if you play Sage/Labs in case you need to use the self-destruct/respawn button as it also works only with Atlas.

4. Use the Atlas to trade on the Marketplace. All the recourses should be in Atlas pair. Probably still better to buy the ships in USDC pair - that depends on the offer of course, best to check both USDC and Atlas pair if you decide to buy a ship to get the best offer.

I think that is pretty much all the utility of the Atlas token for now. I hope I am not missing anything
