I look at them like Containers to store assets on the Chain, once you remove all of that asset type from the chain the container closes and you get your fee back.

but in showroom you would need the ships in the wallet, it doesnt matter there is free ships inside to test

Looks like a display* bug due to the use of commas in your local, and decimals hard coded into the referral discount screen. The discount is probably applied correctly on the actual txn. I'll look into it and get it taken care of.

Toolkit 1 from Iron is less costly and you can craft faster.. so i suggest that.. for t2, after you mine iron ore, then craft to iron, then you gotta get carbon to get to steel, and the crafting cost and the logistics will be harder

if there was a planet where iron ore and carbon was together, then maybe it would worth your while.. but there isn't

couple things. Make sure the recipie does not still show as crafting (in the case you didn't have enough $ATLAS to pay for the craft). Check your inventory of your CSS way down below all of your assets. like your first one, it crafts as an item and wont be in your fleet manager until you export it and import it.

don't look in the wallet for the craft... look way below hydrogen and carbon and such in your CSS inventory

when you craft ships in SAGE Labs they show up as inventory items. You export them to your wallet first, then you can import them to CSS as a ship for fleets

easiest way would be to just use the coinbase seed phrase in a recommended wallet like phantom or solflare

so you dont have to transfer things manually

all solana wallets are interchangeable

so you can use that seed phrase (your wallet) in any other UI

I have had ships for like two years. I went away from the game for a long time and recently decided to get back into it. I downloaded the game with my access code and the game crashes everytime while loading. I also told a friend about the game and how awesome it looks and he went to staratlas.com and got the loading screen like the people above. And I got the same thing. Like some other people said above it looks really bad and it's hard to get other people interested when the top link and Google doesn't work. Not trying to be critical but Love the idea of the game and concepts so want to be able to share it. This week was a failure on several fronts. Top Google result is still a frozen loading screen. Again this isn't meant to be critical. More for awareness of how the current state of onboarding friends is, for me at least

The first time the game runs it tries to run on really high settings so I was getting some issues too because my GPU is weak. I is possible to edit the text file with the graphic settings before running the game. If you are comfortable with trying to edit the file I can send you some instructions. Hello, ive been mining Iron Ore at the furtherest destination in Uster MRZ16 and crafting Magnet at the same station. There doesnt seem to be any advantage on doing this so far away if I have to transport all of it back to Base Station. Can someone shed some light on why the richness would matter compared to cheaper fuel costs (and time to travel) mining closest to CSS? thanks

You have 2 advantages when doing so:

1. Richness is double - that means your are mining the recourse twice as fast
2. Crafting into Magnets - this uses 2x Iron ore and produces 1x Magnet which still takes only 1 cargo space. That means your are transporting back more valuable recourse with the same amount of cargo.

Is it really better than mining Richness 1 Iron near the CSS - I don't know it really depends on what ships you have. If you have miner ships that you only need to supply with food, cargo/transport ships that move more cargo per fuel that they use and if you have some xxSmall for cheap crafting crew - that might actually be way better but it requires specific fleets and setting up a supply chain.

One if the things I was doing on MRZ16 was to mine and craft the ore into Toolkits and then supply my scanning fleets on MRZ-17 with it. Right now I don't do it anymore, because I have upgraded my scanning fleets and they don't use so much toolkits as before, but it is a valid option.

Even more complicated than that - you can craft the magnets on MRZ-16, then transport them to MRZ-35, dig some copper with richness 1.5 and make electromagnets, then transport them to CSS. But as I mentioned above - really depends on your fleets/ships and if you want to do your own math and set up a supply chain

When I select create character I approve the transaction for it on solflare and as soon as the ledger confirmation pops up it closes itself before I can even accept anything

You can deposit resources in any of your factions starbases and to find how much food you’d need to mine you empty your cargo undock go to the asteroid you don’t start mining but it should tell you how much food you need to fill so you write that down go back and fill your food exactly that full and go back and mine it also tells you how long you’ll be mining till you’re full there is a unload All cargo button when you’re docked

The Airbikes and the Opal Jets are currently the budget ones for scanning. I was using one 10x Unibomba fleet, because they scan faster and use less toolkits but I got them when their price was around 10 bucks, now they are selling for like 20-23, so not sure if it is currently worth it to go for them.

If you already have some ships that you can use best to try out scanning with them before trying to make fleets specifically for scanning. Like VB said - anything will do. Adding 1 Small ship to the fleet could also be beneficial because it allows you to warp further distance and get to the best tiles for scanning faster.

I recommend checking out the Eveeye interactive map with SDU chance turned on - that way you can find better spots to scan quicker:

Try a hard refresh of the client (shift-reload) and check if you have enough SOL in your account (or additionally Atlas, if you have enabled Atlas Prime).
If this doesn't help, try to toggle the Atlas Prime feature in the settings (set it to on if it was off and vice versa).
99% of all problems can be fixed with these tips. for the remaining 1%: open a ticket.

I "reverse-engineered" the JS code to find it out:
It's simply: ship class ^ 2
E.g. Pearce R8 is ship class 5, so it takes 5*5=25 of the fleet capacity.

I've just started to try for SDU scans and need to ask the experienced scanners if it's a better choice to seperate 2 Opods or keep them within the same fleet and send them out for scanning? I've sent them in 1 fleet but can't find more than 10 SDUs if I get a successfull scan/ Which led me to the idea that may be it's always 10 SDUs for any OPOD, no matter if thay are in 1 fleet or not

2 should give 10, i usually go with 10xxs or 5 xs ships, opod is 5 so 2 should be enough in 1 fleet, its 10 per fleet limit (+sometimes bonus)

sometimes it makes sense to add more ships, for cargo and such to make longer trips

Hi guys i have a ship in a starbas (not css) with no fuel, i have another ship which can go there but how can i put fuel in cargo to transport it to the starbase with the other ship?

you can deposit fuel into your second fleet via the inventory tab (full refuel first) then go to the other starbase and deposit your cargo there

after that fill up your first fleet

kinda confusing but the full amount of fuel you can transport is your "gas tank" + cargo space. This also works for ammo, but the full amount of other resources you can carry is just equal to cargo space

I suggest if you have airbikes, to make 6 fleets. 1 Opod each with 6 airbikes. Each fleet will give you 10 SDU per successful hit. You can put 2 Opod per fleet but when you are playing with random success rate it is better to have more tries rather than fewer.

My number one tip is wipe the iPad, don’t put anything on it, max privacy settings, fresh / burner iTunes so it won’t sync data to any other devices. Make the tablet as close to a hardware wallet as possible by isolating it from everything else.

So when you run off of a web wallet you know you are safe AF playing Labs all cozy in bed with your iPad and Bob’s Burgers on in the background 🤝❤️

I have now for one week a golden ticket stuck in my instances blocking one crew. I opened a ticket and after asking for screenshots which I have sent they stopped answering me. I'm tracking the crafting cost to be about 75K in atlas if components are purchased vs 88K to purchase outright.

I saw someone suggest that the Mamba Ex could be crafted for $100. Not sure how that is possible unless they are scanning for SDUs and then purchasing the rest.

Doesn't seem to take into account the cost to do the scanning.

My cost to scan is about 1.76 atlas vs purchasing at .70 atlas now.

Scanning gets old lol. But yea I don't see how 100 is possible without scanning and getting the majority of resources. A lot of scanning to get 67k SDUs.

Agreed. Scanning is crazy labor intensive. Can't justify that so just letting claims produce R4, turn it to inputs for mining, and then craft as much as I can to build up to what is needed.
