Just a few things to consider. Figure out what you want to mine. You’ll want to find a hydrogen spot along the way so you can craft fuel and use it as a gas station. Spend some time freighting resources you need back and forth to the place you want to mine at also like food and ammo. Toolkits too if you are scanning. Keep freight in mind. You don’t want to mine for a week in one spot just to realize it’ll take forever to transport back. Lots of things to consider but the biggest part at the beginning is setting up your supply lines

yup, try this. Also refresh/clear cache of the browser and check if that fleet is still mining. Sometimes the interface does not update even if the action was a success and then when you try to repeat it gives you an error

Because you have "Atlas Prime" turned on , turn it off there is a 15% more of a cost using it.

Also it should tell you how much food it’ll require before you start the mining op. If you fill your cargo with just enough food and nothing extra then that helps a lot too

Care when you send your ships to other space stations - if you don't have enough fuel to go back to CSS ( or no other ships to transfer fuel to the other space station ) you will be stuck with the option to "Self Destruct" fleet. This option charges you some Atlas and the result is respawning your fleet to CSS. when you choose wallet, does it ask you to select an account? If you had auto approve on when you first created, there is a good chance that you created multiple accounts. If you have to choose, you may have just choosen the wrong one. Make sure you go through all of them before anything else.

I can share what I have found so far while playing with it, but I have no way to confirm if this is actually how it works:

1. You can have simulation battles in either a starbase or a sector. The fleets are real fleets that happen to be there ( good mechanic for scouting a sector before diciding to make a scan ). The fleets may appear as enemy or ally - this does not reflect the actuall fleet factions, it is just a random rotation so you can have a simulated battle even if you are on the CSS. You have a placeholder for a starbase too - currently if you go to enymy starbase and try to attack it it will display a msg, but won't take HP from the base and the base does not return fire ( the pop up msg actually says that you are attacking your own fleet )

2. Simulations do not take gas fees, ammo or dmg your fleets in any way. The Manage and Repair buttons does not seem to work right now, but if you want to repeat a simulation with a fleet you can dock/undock to refresh status on HP.

3. Each fleet you have for has AP ( Action Points ) for the purpose of attacking. This is just like a scan cooldown on your attack. The timer is a bit buggy, you need to deselect/select fleet when the AP cooldown completes. You can attack with multiple fleets as long as their AP is not on cooldown.

4. For the purpose of attacking each ship in fleet has a normal attack chance and a critical attack chance. Crits will hit for +50% dmg and consume +50% ammo. It is possible that only some of the ships in the fleet land a crit.

6. Manage and Repair ship buttons do not seem to do anything right now. Also if you attack with multiple fleets you are still able to attack with fleets that have 0hp as long as at least one fleet in the attack has more than 0hp ( this is probably not intended

there is a lot to explore, we have several guides and such, i try to make it short 🙂 ok, so i would start with the ships, the workforce in the game https://play.staratlas.com/market/?category=ship (sorry can't give financial advice) an airbike is enough, you also need food, fuel, ammo and toolkits which you buy with Atlas or USDC, then you stake that ship in the faction fleet on the site
and refill it once a day, that's how you earn Atlas, you get resources from the open market or by enlisting faction claims or mining ships and also by extracting & crafting it in Sage Labs
you always can expand the fleet later
