Why is the fee so high?

⦁ Actually, its not, here's the thing - Solana is decentralized and uses Serum DEX for trading. Star Atlas merely uses Serum DEX for marketplace behind the scene.
⦁ You pay 0.023 for each trading pair for Serum and this is refundable if you decide to stop playing.
⦁ So there are trading pairs for: Ships and Each of the 4 resources - food, fuel, ammo and tools.
⦁ So 0.092 SOL for buying each resource + your ship trading pair deposit = 0.115 SOL + actual ship cost in USDC/Atlas
⦁ The 0.092 SOL you paid for resources is one-time only, subsequent transactions to buy resources cost merely 0.000005 SOL tx fee apart from the resource cost.
⦁ Whenever you want, you can get a refund for these trading pair deposits on: https://sonar.watch/tools/serum-dex under accounts - you can cancel. The SCORE which is the current trading platform online + ability to enlist ships in the faction fleet for daily ATLAS rewards is a great dynamic to understand in more depth. Think carefully about what ships have the best yield and cost the least in resources etc.... some people also just buying ships and not participating in SCORE just holding NFT to sell at later stage

Hi I opened a ticket but thought it couldn't hurt to ask here. I recently logged in to resupply and repair my fleet. Under pending rewards I had a negative number of about 5 days worth of negative atlas. All the bars on the ships read 100% but are blacked out. It is effecting both staked fleets one 2 weeks of staking and one with a week. I checked solscan and can see the transactions resupply yesterday, and everyday for weeks, but score says I haven't resupplied in 5+ days. Everything was normal yesterday. Any ideas?

You only get charged to open the token account. After that the sol fee is fractions of a cent. You can always close these token accounts when you're done on sonar watch

I don't know what to tell you. If you think you are being double charged, feel free to check on sonar watch. I have been using the platform since mid November last year, and have never experienced double charge on token accounts.

This happens when you Enlist your ships to the Faction fleet, and then reclaim your ships rent accounts in your Solana wallet. Without a rent account, if you try to withdraw your fleet there is no where for the ships to go, and withdraw fails.
easy way to create a rent account is to place an order (for any amount) for the ship / resource you are trying to purchase. Then cancel the order."

In fact you are correct. Ran out of toolkits. TYVM. Unfortunately there is no messaging currently to indicate this during fleet withdrawl and requires a manual check. As a plan moving forward, always checking resource inventory before fleet withdrawl is a good idea.

Your problem should be solved by going to https://app.step.finance/#/dashboard . Connect your wallet there and go to the dashboard, scroll down a little bit and you should see open orders or unsettled balances.
If you see an open order, cancel it and post a new one (remember to add 0.23% extra USDC to cover Serum fees). If you see unsettled balances please click on claim and you should receive them in your wallet

Sometimes there can be a cache issue with browser..... if you clear your cache and reset browser sometimes this fixes the issue

Why is the fee so high?

Hey bros, I'm trying to connect my ledger wallet to phantom. And from the instructions I see that I can connect my existing wallet. Can I do that? Because someone here said you need to open a new wallet and move your funds there

You’d need to use a new seed generated from the ledger

The seed used now (generated from computer) is hot (not encrypted hardware) and is is not on par with the standard for security

I looked at instructions on phantom they said you have to create the chrome extension and create a wallet from there and then connect it

So here's what I did -- used my current phantom wallet, went to settings, connect with hardware wallet, and I got a new address. But I still have it in the phantom browser extension.

It also says I have to use blind signing to use the phantom wallet... which kinda defeats the purpose of having a ledger

then you link that to phantom

You still have to approve transaction. You just dont get all tge contract details on the little fiddly screen

Its deffinately not recommended for dapps you dont trust

If your risk appetite is such that you want the ability to read and scrutanise every single transaction and your device has enough memory to do so than by all means keeop it off

I connected my existing phantom with ledger and it gave me option to create new wallet (but uses the same seed as the original, existing one)

so when I make transactions, it requires that I touch ledger buttons, so I guess it works
