I want to promote the project by making some stuff... to do that, I want to leverage some of the graphical assets from the website, my purchased ships, etc. to build some stuff... is there a licensing process to do that? I could not find anyplace to find that information... As a newcomer to the whole "decentralized" or "NFT" space, I am curious about all the websites, factions, content, etc. out there... and also how this all plays into the vision of a decentralized metaverse (end state I know, and perhaps there are phases to go through prior to this point....) Call me a Chad, but I don't want to disrespect the project team/founders or brand, by not going through a process, or getting permission to use graphical assets or views without permission... Perhaps there could be a commercial and non-commercial licensing form to enable the community to build stuff.... this might help fund the project (I would however expect the revenue on this path to be smaller and harder to earn than the coins, NFTs, etc.... lol), but I really do think it could help promote and bring new folks into the project which would float all boats... please let me know thoughts, a link, or timing for this kind of thing... 🙂 Super excited and want to help ensure we are all successful with this endeavor! 🙂

Hey guys, new to star atlas and just bought a ship. I've been encountering quite heavy Sol charges on my transactions when buying anything (resources etc) looking at 0.026 every transaction. My friend doesnt incur any sol charges, only the atlas he is spending. If i keep paying these charges, it eliminated the profit I make on faction fleet. Anybody else encounter this? sol fees is not a problem, just here we have the renting account fees from serum, these are like 0.023 sol for the first time you buy anything from the game, its kind of collateral, you could reclaim if you ever stop playing, so its at least ship and the 4 resources so 0.13 or more maybe thats a lot for smol budget starters.

The 0.03 fee is for each new pair, so if you want to buy two different ships then you would pay 0.06. Then the fee for those would be negligible. Works the same for everything on serum

normaly just have the toolkits (enough to go above 100%) in your inventory, the ships will repair and you get all other resources back.

you need to have sol in the wallet for fees to, people had problems before when they removed the serum renting account fees ( also know as trading pairs) but it seems you didnt do that.

Why is the fee so high?

⦁ Actually, its not, here's the thing - Solana is decentralized and uses Serum DEX for trading. Star Atlas merely uses Serum DEX for marketplace behind the scene.
⦁ You pay 0.023 for each trading pair for Serum and this is refundable if you decide to stop playing.
⦁ So there are trading pairs for: Ships and Each of the 4 resources - food, fuel, ammo and tools.
⦁ So 0.092 SOL for buying each resource + your ship trading pair deposit = 0.115 SOL + actual ship cost in USDC/Atlas
⦁ The 0.092 SOL you paid for resources is one-time only, subsequent transactions to buy resources cost merely 0.000005 SOL tx fee apart from the resource cost.
⦁ Whenever you want, you can get a refund for these trading pair deposits on: https://sonar.watch/tools/serum-dex under accounts - you can cancel. This does not affect your existing purchases but not recommended as it can cause some issues while withdrawing fleets. Suggest to get a refund only when you decide to stop playing.
⦁ Remember though if you cancel on sonar.watch, the next time you want to buy any resource - you pay the same trading pair deposit again.

I don't think it's been fixed yet. In the example you posted in the pdf closing the rent account while the ship is in your wallet won't do anything. You have to move all your opal jets into your fleet first, then close the account for the bug to crop up.

Hello, I must report a bug as well. Yesterday I unstaked a ship and put a sell order. I later wanted to cancel it and hit cancel open order and approved transaction - once it was confirmed the ship just vanished. It's not in my wallet and it also hasn't been sold like a second before I clicked or something, I didn't get the atlas tokens from the ship either. I know the solana network was encountering problems these days so I waited to see if something would get reverted, but it didn't and ship is missing. Anyone else had this?

hi, maybe this? Hi Everyone. We have identified a common problem people are having withdrawing ships. This happens when you Enlist your ships to the Faction fleet, and then reclaim your ships rent accounts in your Solana wallet. Without a rent account, if you try to withdraw your fleet there is no where for the ships to go, and withdraw fails. I've put together a quick and dirty way to create a rent account using, while we work on a proper fix for this, and will post it here now.

In addition to this make sure you have at least 1 unit of Food, Fuel, and Ammo in your inventory, you need those to have a rent account too.

other possible reasons for your error

• You need $SOL for transactions fees. If you sent them from an CEX to your Phantom wallet, perhaps you can double check your CEX history.

• You might not have enough of 1 of the 4 resources (tool, food, ammo, fuel), thus a one press "resupply all" return an error.

• YOu might have bought the resources, but you didn't claim it properly.

There is no procedure, you've been scammed it seems. If you don't know where these transactions were made to. I will re-iterate, nothing leaves your wallet without you giving permissions for it to do so, or unless someone else has access to your seedphrase. if you entered your seedphrase anywhere digitally, it may well be compromised. even if it's stored on a text file on your computer, or on your phone, it's not safe. Best is to store it on paper, or get steel plates. If you linked your wallet to any unknown site, or perhaps interacted with an unknown token in your wallet, this can clean out your wallet.

Compromised seedphrase

It is simple, if you understand that your seedphrase is the key to your wallet. if you store that either online, or even on your computer, it is at risk of being compromised.

Other ways that "scammers" will get you to sign off unwanted transactions is by impersonating legitimate sites. Another tactic that is often used is sending an unknown NFT to your wallet, that when you interact with it, or try and sell it, the smart contract on that interaction is to clean out your wallet. so never interact with unknown NFTs that might show up in your wallet

If you ever got a DM on this discord, asking you to connect your wallet to a site, or that your wallet needs to be "validated" that's a scam

Need to be very suspicious of anything unexpected. If you are getting a DM about a promotion, that there was no news about, most likely a scam. if you are getting an airdrop NFT into your wallet without expecting it, most likely a scam.

That is key, understanding exactly what might have been the cause. because alot of people just think they were hacked, and they did nothing wrong, which is very seldom the case. Most situations of money being taken out of your crypto wallet is through social engineering and scams where the user is tricked into sending their coins, not because of actual hacks.
