Actually, I've tested just one Rayfam in SAGE for some time, and even with the current cost of direct sell of SDU it's profitable, but not much: +$0.2 per full cargo hold when we count all transactions that were required.

One full cargo hold takes some time in my case, because I'm not using automation and not doing it all day 🙂 But the main advantage of Rayfam is that you can scan out there for as long as you want without need to return for the food 🙂

yes, you can get LPs by submitting upgrade materials. However, this star base will not gain tiers. They were introduced as we are running out of starbases to upgrade. This is until C4 with combat is released.

I thought it was a great brew I just enjoy seeing Dom the minister of propaganda do the spin in his new role of marketing. I believe in the team but they get no slack from me. After all I'm a proud krill.

It's tough for sure. I think they're in a very interesting spot to be honest. Not unique at all and is actually the place most projects tend to fall short. (not suggesting the same here but just what usually happens). The team is building and creating a lot, with such growth there comes a lot of technical debt. That debt will be collected at some point. I think the best time to fix it is before hype or a flood of people. Just look at holosim and what happened.

It's not easy because a lot of the work that needs to be done won't move the needle in ways "people" know they need. It's not going to pamp their bags, but it'll make for the foundation to do so. I'm talking about all those little things that're adding up bugs, infrastructure, systems built that were meant to be temporary but became permanent, and not trying to branch out too far. If done right they will not get praise for it (because people just expect it these days [web2 stability]). I'd love to see the team open the gates to allow for far more community support towards them tbh. A prime example is starcomm, if they published a schema on how their "official" clients utilize data the community could build completely different systems all with the same goal. Providing that data for the client to use. This in theory could result in the decommissioning of starcomm or at the very least make it less of a techinical burden on the team.

P.S. - I hope that their z.ink gating of validators is on the stake side. That way anyone can stand up an RPC node without needing to ask for permission to do so.

Very thought full post thank you. What has been accomplished in SA is already massive and going in the right direction. For me this is a long-term play and unlike many I did not come here expecting to make a lot of money and was prepared to lose so I don't have the emotional swings when it comes to the price of ships and tokens as long as I see progress on the game fundamentals I'm good. So, correct me if I'm wrong about what I've learned from ses about the ships:
(1) Bounty Hunters - anti-fighters with bad mobility, ideal for slow fleets that consist of other bounty hunters or non-fighter Large+ ships, will dramatically slow down the rest of the fleet if it consists mostly of XXL or XL ships.
(2) Fighters - combat ships with great mobility, ideal for fast fleets that consist mostly of XXL and XL ships, can't oppose bounty hunters without support of at least a couple of XXL ships.
(3) Bombers - combat ships with huge advantage against ships Small+ sizes, the larger the target - the larger the advantage, not so effective against XXL and XL ships.
(4) Miners - ideal for mining, bad for anything else.
(5) Data Runners - ideal for scanning, bad of anything else.
(6) Transport - ideal for transporting cargo, bad for anything else.

Not sure about the Medical and Repair ships' purposes yet.

Yeah, I think so. And according to the lore description the Bounty Hunters are actually mobile prisons (with locked compartments for that purpose). So, I'm also not sure about the Bounty Hunter name.

There are also multipurpose ships, but I think they will be bad in everything 🙂

As for the escort ships it looks like the fighters are the best for escorting fleets that consist of XXL and XL ships, while bounty hunters are the best for escorting the Small+ ships. So, both fighters and bounty hunters are good for escorting, but cover different speed ranges.

It looks like the ATS Enforcers + Maxhogs is the kind of transport fleet that will be nearly impossible to intercept, and even if someone will intercept it, it will be hard to bring it down 🙂

it depends on your portfolio and time u have. You can play on Base with your ships or rent them out and do LP or Contracts. You can do resource arbitrage across different starbases — buy here, sell there. You can play UE5 and farm INK. You can buy and sell ships. Or you can do everything together.

Another solution is to have the wallet in more than one browser. Sometimes it doesn't appear in Chrome, but it appears normally in Brave or Mozilla.
