That's a heck of a deal I would say, but what if they only rent a day and after every use, they don't rent until you refuel and reload all ammo. That's time, Solana for transaction costs, and supplies that cost. Did you factor that in as well for 5 medium sized ships?

I'm not going over ~2k for full TIP fleets and ~4k for full TAP fleets, since one has to factor in all the gas fees as well as the currently common lag in Solana chain cos of the sudden spike in activities which will cause the fleets to take a long time for the transactions to get through. And if in the event that Solana lags for a few days straight. well...that's good luck to the rent then...

One tip gets you roughly 600k hydrogen per day. If you are mining other raw materals, calculate accordingly. You can check the market price for the different raw materals. Then factor in all other related costs.

Currently, there are a lot of ships to rent, so mine may not be picked first, and that's ok. If money velocity causes inflation, I wonder how true it is in the star atlas economy. If it is true, then as the price of materials increase, so will the price of rentals, I would imagine.

My ships are all fueled up and fully loaded with ammo, plus half food and repair kits. If I do this every time I go to rent it, and I rent it for peanuts, then I am taking the loss, until the markets adjusts. And in the meantime, there are plenty of great deals in our there, which will make the market adjust in time, I'm sure.

Yeah we have filters coming. They needed a bit more work last minute so we opted to hide them till they were working properly.

You need to add Atlas and SOL to the vaults, make sure hot wallet is enabled and the hot wallet permissions are all on. There's an absolute minimum (like 0.02sol) and there's a practical minimum. If you put like 1000 Atlas and .1 SOL in the vaults that should get you started.

This helped, thanks 🙂 But creating a ticket about the failed transactions - I've tried that before, and no solutions from the tech support helped for more than a month. Eventually the ticket was just closed, and the failed transactions keep happening - sometimes few times a day, sometimes for the entire week. I see no point in creating the tickets about this issue anymore. This bug is clearly out of the devs control and the only solution would be the project migration to a blockchain that actually works.

I've switched to the Solflare wallet, and tried several actions - it didn't require any SOL except for the 0.00000... fee. But Phantom drained 0.002 SOL for each of such actions in addition to the fee (sometimes returning the amount, and sometimes not). I don't understand this. So the Phantom was the only problem here? Or the Solflare will also surprize me later? If the Phantom causes the failed transactions and the SOL drains, why not just prohibit it from the game? I thought it would be complicated to switch to Solflare, but since it requires just the password phrase and re-login, I don't really understand the reason of allowing Phantom at all. And there is not warning about the Phantom for the new players, as far as I remember.

probably it was token accounts

everything is a solana txn 0.00005, except solana token account creation, these are 0.002, but you get the token accounts back as soon you close them, its an automated process, so as soon you interact with any asset it creates token accounts, same goes for fleets and cargo
so each time you transport or mine things, cargo token accounts get created for your fleet these usually get closed when you unload, but when you disband a fleet a message will pop up in the starbase that you have open cargo accounts when you press it you get the solana token/renting account fees back

• phantom has priority fees enabled so instead of the 0.00005 you pay more there but it should not be as high as 0.002 these are token rent accounts

so basically everything in your wallet needs a token account to function on chain

like if you buy a new nft or any token it creates a account for your wallet, these usually get closed when it leaves your wallet, there is also tools to manually close them and get the rent fee back

I've noticed several times that Phantom sometimes doesn't return the 0.002. Maybe it even indicates the return, but fails to deliver it, because the game kept drain the SOL instead of keeping approximately the same balance. For example, I had 0.04 SOL before the fleet rental. Now I have less than 0.01 SOL, and all that I was doing was just undocking-warping-mining-docking.
