Seems like it would scale pretty well. Not that my fleet size is anywhere close to this, but comparing the mining fleet of 5000 on the AEP page.

You can have 5 opods getting 300 SDU per success, seems like decent return

You would have to be in sector's with success chance of 30% + for that to occur, as sector density is directly tied into success chance on a ratio of: success chance 1:10 sector density

example, if you had a fleet that has an SDU cap of 300/scan, and you get a successful scan on a sector that has only 15% chance of success, your yield would only be 150 SDUs

If you are using Data Runners, that is not that big of a deal though, but if you are using any other ship, can be super wasteful to do it like that. So if you are planning to scan, I definitely recommend using data runners.

Eveeye has this feature. It doesn't calculate costs for food (crafting) or fuel (hauling) as that is subjective to your setup.

but it will show you all the raw materials you would need to mine, and the full supply chain until final product.

I was in IT for many years. You can definitely go with a cloud service that hosts something like a Windows. However, you need to calculate the the cost for the service for things like compute time and storage costs. It might be cheaper to purchase a really cheap desktop or laptop computer. It already has Windows and there won't be any ongoing charges.

I am online all the time and my game runs 24x7 around the clock. That is because I use a tool call SLY. You can learn about that and automate a lot of your tasks.
