The current situation is very very tricky... Because we're now swimming in a swamp, and there's no way out in the very near future.

Basically, we have no functional Labs, except for random glimpses of low traffic. Some people will push transactions with obscene priority fees, while the small/mid player can't absorb the costs. And even so, even the big player, can't stand it. It's pretty much dead, until Solana either ups its output, or less people use Solana. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I have to meditate on even if it's worth to keep the ships, or rather temporarily sell it all and come back when there's an actual perspective of improvement. And just considering this sucks. It's actually the first time it crossed my mind. And I'm here since literally first ship sales. Very very sad moment for the project, unfortunately.

And I know the team is working hard and non-stop to get things done. But it's out of their hands, in a way.

The reality is Solana isn't able to deliver what SA needs to function. 🙁

2. Option to chose our own RPC provider in game ( currently possible if you write your own code/scripts so it is not easily accessible to everyone ). This should provide the option to chose and pay for our own RPC provider, possibly connection to one that better suits our location.
3. Expanding Solana network and making it more stable and cost efficient - release of the Firedancer ( not in the hands of SA team, but still something we should expect in the near future )
4. Optimizing game mechanics ( such as scanning for example ) and improving on the bulk transaction and dynamic priority fees features.

I mean it won't happen overnight, but still.

My math shows that each 25k Lamports represents 5% of scanning revenue, roughly. So 500k means literally paying to scan.

That with Sol at $160 and Atlas at $0.01. So, yeah, it's actually worse now.

Have the team already at least considered keeping some points and actions outside the chain, and "roll up" this in some moments, aggregating all the transactions in a single block?

I'm a software engineer and I'm used to architect big solutions to big problems too, and sincerely, I don't see a smoth and flat curve following this "main logic of keeping everything on blockchain" how is described in the white paper. The growth curve for SA is not linear or logaritimic, but it is Exponential, every new thing, you should interact with the blockchain N times, for N number of users.

The Idea is keep it logaritmic, only sending to blockchain what really matter.

Of course the team has your own vision and mission, but from a friendly third view, is an advice to have caution on this, and not making all in trusting in blockchain, you can't control them, or if it's working or not. You can trust what your service can provide, and not in other solutions.

Literally talking, trusting all your coins in SOLANA can cause a rupture in future, if I was the owner of this project, for sure after what SOLANA did these last weeks, and stuck many times, I would try to change the way that the project is evolving.

Not an expert on durable nonces, but I think you can only have one pending transaction at a time with them. Every time you send a transaction with a durable nonce you specify the blockhash stored there. When the txn succeeds the nonce is advanced so the next transaction using it will need to sign using the next nonce in the account (which is only updated after the first txn goes through).

I was looking at Clockwork and if it is possible to create automation directly on chain, instead of trying to run it on my computer.

I am imagining something like having a k8 container, but running on SOL network that I can give limited access trough the player profile ( lancer account? ) and fund separately with some SOL for the automation fees.

Then use it to automate various tasks like mining, scanning, crafting and possibly have a feature to retry an operation if it is not successful - so not exactly unlimited tx retries, but rather attempting a new tx after a set interval of time.

P.S. just theory crafting, I still need to go trough a lot of documentation to confirm if what I am saying actually makes any sense 😅
