A couple of quick tips here:

1. Right now, the cost of a finished toolkit is below the raw cost of the iron, so if you are mining iron, you should either sell it without making toolkits, or find another iron product that has higher margin.
2. If your focus is on iron, iron is located equidistant from all CSS', so it doesn't really matter which region you're in. For other resources, you'll want to double check the distances. For example, copper is located closest to the ONI CSS, and is farther away for MUD and and UST.

Yeah there's too many fleet variables to take into account, so we can't cover those here, but cargo definitely is a big one. Frankly, my fleet with a cargo capacity of 370k still sticks close to the CSS, and even on the raw materials right now net profit is about 350 ATLAS per trip. That goes way up once we go further down the production chain. It's different for everyone

Yea, I might take a closer look at frameworks and electromagnets

Great choices, those both currently have some of the highest margin. One other thing to consider (and this is where the layers and layers of complexity can come in, which is a good thing and partly why I love even this early econ loop)... don't overlook the time to craft. That can be a big variable in profitability.

For example, frameworks right now have the highest margin in the core Iron product line, but they take 20 seconds to craft each one. Once I have my product margin, I also then run it against time, so I get a margin per time calculation. This way, I see that framework is no longer the highest margin, but rather electromagnet for example ranks higher than framework. But there we have other variables such as needing other resources beyond the iron chain for electromagnet, so you'll have to see if it's worth it for you. But this way, you can (if you want) really start to fine-tune your margin and see what is truly optimal.

Honestly, the margins for various items is constantly changing and they are all mostly close to each other. Sure there may be some variability but I would stress that the most important thing is just get out there and start playing and have fun. Don't worry about decimals and maximizing ROI...that gets tedious fast.

We are still SUPER early so just getting a feel for the game and getting ready for the future is the most important aspect right now.

if you have a smallish fleet and not a lot of expendable $$$ your best option is probably this...

-Mine hydrogen (the margins aren't great, but you don't waste travel time and the "fuel cost" is negligible)
-sell it on market... don't worry about what the going rate is (as long as the bid and ask are relatively close together just sell to the first person buying)
-use 100% of what you make selling the hydrogen to buy the materials you need to craft the rfr (buying all that stuff seems to be more efficient than trying to mine it all)

It will be slow going if you're mining with a small fleet, but it's the best option imo

Basically, in my opinion, all resources will increase in value, because of more burning and less supply

You need to be patient, and plan your moves with cold mind and strategically if you want to make your 1000x long term. Its very possible, but you need to have a strategy.

If you want a 1000x in 30 days, you will end up gambling all your money and losing it all fast.

Also, spend less money in your daily life.

Dont spend your money in unnecessary things. This way, you can save money, and have some extra dry powder for when good investment opportunities present themselves.

Orrr...just create a Fleet and mine during the day. Then you can disband at night and use those crew to craft while you sleep.

With a smaller Fleet it is best to just focus on a single resource and sell it. XXS Fleets it's best to scan SDUs. And for Medium Fleets and Larger you can pick your path.

Are you mining?. When you want to stop mining, use the "starbase metadata" button instead of the "stop mining" button. This way you can avoid the white screen completely.

In the "starbase metadata" click in the middle 2 times and then scroll down to stop mining.

Do this to "stop mining". When it is to "start mining" you don't have to worry about the white screen.

yes, basically the team has a distribution wallet that is being used to supply rewards for staking to stakers, but obviously this won't last forever and will eventually run out. Whether some alternative reward scheme will be decided or if voting is enough of a reward will have to be decided by the DAO eventually at that point

For one thing, it seems likely that ships like the R8 might be able to refuel another ship in space.

At some point, ships and crew will take damage. That's when we might see proper utility for repair and medical ships.

But all that aside, the R8 makes for a very solid transport ship in Labs.

Yeah. Currently mining/freight and scanning are the kings of the meta. Next iteration will probably be mostly focused on building our internal layer starbases. I doubt that everyone will be eiger to go to the HRZ and lose their ships

I played a bit with the combat simulator and in the current version I figured that if I make a full fleet with opal jets it might be better than a whole fleet of larger ships. This is because the larger fleets take size^2 space in the whole fleet.

Also it didn't make a lot of sense with mixing the fleets. Like are they using their separate ammo banks and how the crit chance is determined. Not to mention the AP ( action points I guess ) mechanics. Will be interesting to see what will become of it,

Soooo, anyone has any comments on the racing tracks and the ships in 2.19.

I have tried a few and so far I got a feeling that:

1. X4 is busted, I am getting motion sick even if I hit the slightest bump. Similar feeling with the airbike
2. VZUS Solos OP - not sure what is under the hood but acceleration and handling are super nice.
3. Unibomba - handling and hover mechanics also seem pretty snippy on that one
4. JetJet, Niruch and the Lowbie feel slow compared to the xxSmall ships or maybe this is just the feeling I got. I only tried the Scud briefly when it was on free rotation - it seem it outperformed them.

Hi, there a few things that you can do in SAGE/LABS right now:

1. Mine raw recourses ( like Hydrogen, Iron Ore )
2. Craft higher tier recourses ( like Fuel, Iron, Toolkits, Radiation Absorbers )
3. Scan for SDUs
4. Craft SDUs recipes - these required SDUs as components and are only available to craft in your CSS. These include various Ships and RFR ( there were also housings, but the team have not resupplied them recently )

You can sell the recourses, the SDUs, the crafted ships or RFR on the marketplace for profit.

Currently the council RFR is a special type of recourse that the Team has provided and you can sell it to them for Atlas.

Currently ships cannot be destroyed in game. They also don't consume resources when "Idle" or "Docked" so it is safe to leave it as it is and log off.

Only way to do a damage to a ship at the moment is to run out of fuel when:

1. Traveling ( warp/subwarp )
2. Exiting asteroid field ( Stop mining )

If you get yourself in either of these situations without fuel you will need to "self-destruct". This does not destroy the ship - just respawns it in CSS. However keep in mid that the action will cost some Atlas. So make sure you have fuel in your tank when you go exploring and mining. Make sure that you have enough for the trip back too.
