I'm currently running a benchmark with the triton RPC with my standard fleet. We are testing the limitations to hopefully find a low bandwidth/cash option for SA players.

the SDU scanners are using hellomoon RPC and i cant move the triton RPC over without messing the test up. so SDU scanners are ded for now

I think once you disband you get refunded part of the rent, then you need to go to inventory of the starbase and click to get the rest of it. I am not entirely sure but I think there is a separate token for the fleet and separate one for the cargo.

I would advise you to do the following - I have done this once when I was starting to confirm everything was in order.

1. Make a fleet, fill up cargo, do one warp and one scan, then return to the base, unload, disband and then claim the rent token from inventory.
2. Write all the activity from your wallet when you perform this actions in a spreadsheet with links to the transactions to solscan and the cost in solana ( make sure to only use the wallet and fleet for these actions alone, name each of them in your spreadsheet to keep better track )
3. Calculate the total spent on tx fees and the total spent/returned on rent

I have done this operation for mining too in the beginning and all was good when I tested with solflare

If you see any inconsistency share your spreadsheet so mods and community can take a look. At this point we are just looking at screenshots that cannot actually tell us what actions you have performed on labs, so a bit hard to troubleshoot or help you out.

Yeah this is the process of opening new token accounts. Those accounts are closed as they are unneeded. And you can manually recover some closed accounts at starbases. (if you see a red banner that says you have unused accounts)

Great question- its both. I'd say mostly the new UI. But trying to learn the new UI with the slowness just encourages me to defect back into v1. However, if most of us defect back into v1 then we can't provide the feedback to help you guys improve the newer versions interface

moving fleets around is harder at v2 because you need to wait until the action is complete in one to start the second one, while on v1 you can buffer it. Also, the warp button is hidden behind the overview. I also miss the warp mini-buttons that are on the V1 survey screen

In v2 I also still dont know how to tell if my fleet cargo is full when mining so I know when to issue a stop mining command. Right now I just go into v2 when I'm curious to see what the map looks like

yeah this is great feedback...this what the team needs more of, but they wont get it like they did in v1 because everyone will just immediately defect back into v1. I recall seeing WAY more feedback and lightning fast improvements to the UI in v1

Despite the challenges with the new UIs, I do think its REALLY fucking cool that I can play the same game on multiple UIs. Thats a first for me when it comes to gaming. There could be different UIs for different functions in the game...maybe more combat focused players could have a UI tailored to that function versus a miner needing to see different information at a glance to max efficiency

if I include the interface from Eveeye with the SDU scan chance and the other cool features it starts looking like the setup of a ship commander post. I imagine in the future there could be custom tailored interfaces made by community devs and even some committed for particular guilds. Just need to bring the additional desk, coz I am running out of space to put additional screens 😄
