My major changed (I think I couldve majored in enviro health science if I had more confidence but this is just how it happened to be)
Career goals are broadly the same, although I'd say my ideal job/approach has refined? Instead of it just being "environmental health science" or "epidemiology" I'm narrowing down to stuff like databases & data stewardship, spatial statistics for public health applications, and geo interfaces/data visualizations (all with a spatial drive, considering space as a variable in the system)

Like I'm still super interested in industrial health, toxicology, pollution, and non PH topics in genetics, mental health, and other medical sciences. But career wise I've really focused in on that "addressing human-environment problems using a spatial framework" kinda schtick

even the "strict" sensei i had for japn 102 was very kind she was just a little harsh on grading

i had a friend do japanese for his req, but he also tried chinese and i think viet? and he loved all of them

i know ive also heard good things about dutch
it's still difficult because its accelerated (2 semesters instead of 3) but youre not learning tones like chinese
