unc hospital on campus usually means a connection for shadowing without the need for a car
in-state tuition combined with the rigor makes for great ROI & academic prep (iirc a lot of unc students do well on the mcat, especially math/phys premeds)

im sure there's a lot more but thats what i could think of off the top of my head
