given x number of teachers/classroom resources, increasing the # of students invariably means a lower quality of education because class sizes will get larger and resources/student will decrease

obviously there's not a fixed # of teachers or classroom resources

but Columbia's admin explicitly promoted this as a financial move, which means that it's unlikely they'll be raising costs by hiring more teachers

not to mention that administrations at basically every school are hiring less than they used to
