in a deferral LOCI, ur main goal is to provide new updates for the second review of ur application in hopes of convincing the admissions committee to accept u. in a waitlist LOCI, ur main goal is to reaffirm that the school is your top choice and you will attend and enroll if you are accepted. you can do this through sharing new updates and explaining how ur current academic goals/updates are aligning really well with the college and how this fit is what u need. the end goal of a waitlist LOCI is to show u are still interested in the school, provide updates, and emphasize u will attend and matriculate

and along the lines of supplementals – each piece of information you provide the college is more context u give them. if u want to repeat things, thats fine, but just remember that if its in your supplementals they already probably have that information
