Random unless you and someone else each listed each other on the form.
BRUH 😭😭
damn that sucks
dang that rlly sucks
one of the MLC community reps spelled my name wrong in an recruitment email
Hello sir, Orangutan G. Armpits
Did you send an email regarding the error?
Has anyone received Waitlist decision yet?
nope
are in-state ppl more likely to get off the wl?
in state has higher acceptance rate so it’d make sense if they’d be more likely to get off wl
in state might have more yield tho so idk
logically speaking yes
but UM already heavily over admits due to ~50% yield rate so idk about wl statistics
ive never looked at them
BRO
oof
Last year there was a 5% chance of someone on the waitlist getting an offer. About 1% the two years before that.
Yeah it’s super low unfortunately 😭😭
i saw a vid predicting that they’re not going to accept many people from the waitlist this cycle
I saw that too, but we just gotta wait till the day
It’ll prolly come out next Friday for most people, maybeeee this Friday if they’re quick
whatll come out? the waitlist?
does anyone know when LEAD scholarship recipients come out
praying screaming crying
Prollyyyy
It came out for a lot of accepted people for LSA on May 19th last year
Which was a Friday, so I’m assuming May 17th this year. In 2022 it came out for people on the 6th, also a Friday. That’s why it could be this Friday or next. All speculation ofc ^^
rejections + acceptances all coming out on the same day?
Not sure, I know they release in waves so rejections prolly come during late July and stuff
*June sorry
Last year someone got off the waitlist on June 29th tho so it’s def possible to get off of it later too
oh cool! near my bd
Haha I remember you mentioning that, hoping for the best for you my guy. I’ve been looking into every detail I could on this server and saw that me and you are both stressing bout this lol, but we both gonna get it trust 💪💪
thanksss! gl to us
Where you are planning on committing rn btw, I’m just curious :)
IU Bloomington (WL Kelly coming out this fri
)
Omg you got this! Kelly is amazing I’m sure you’ll get it ❤️❤️
Majoring in business?
yup
nah i wpuld assume only acceptances
which day
Last year offers to people on the waitlist started May 19.
how many ppl get waitlisted
so many💀
The 77 is from Fall 2022. Last year they offered to 955 out of the 18,321 that accepted a spot on the waitlist. That’s 5%. Michigan waitlists more than 25% of all applicants each year.
woop
nice
Praying to get off still though
Was it for STAMPS? If so, apparently different from regular waitlist
He said LSA but I’m not too sure tbh
Yeah that’s when majority happened. It came on the 6th in 2022 tho. So prolly gonna be a Friday this month
Oh damn fr?
they start this early?
will it start this friday?
Maybe, but idk my personal feeling is next Friday.
Someone apparently got off the waitlist 2 days ago too
But not LSA, just Taubman for architecture
how hard is it to transfer from LSA to Ross?
That’s my plan too but I heard it’s veryyyy competitive
But it’s much easier to transfer from LSA to Ross than transfer from a different college altogether to Ross. Most accepted Ross transfers are from within UMich
cuz if i get off the WL i'll be in LSA undeclared
officially withdrew 😄😄😄
how does that work then? when does one get to select a major if they are accepted undeclared
They'll get to choose any major in lsa except for cs (there's the cs advanced selection)
Even if you're not undeclared, u can still choose any major in that college
U have till the end of sophomore year to declare
can i choose a major immediately? like right when i get accepted
Not sure, you'll probably have to complete some requirements before declaring
Requirements as in classes
Once u get off the waitlist, u can talk to your academic advisor about it
praying to get off the WL
where u committed rn
IU Bloomington
Real 😭
We got this though!!
Honestly im stressing sm over this but like nothing I can do except hope now
i heard that umich waitlisted a lot more people than usual this year, is that true?
they WL a lot of ppl every year
Yeah it’s always a huge number
People are getting off quite a lot for other schools now, not sure about LSA
Saw someone on TikTok get off for the arts and design school yesterday
are they taking mostly in-state?
That prolly just depends on who commits and who doesn’t
Uh a lot
when do waitlists begin to come back
Umich usually does 3 waves. Majority of people get off mid May, some more get off early June, and very few get off in late June. Based on past years, I’d assume these waves will be the 17th of May, 7th of June, and 28/29th of June.
Someone on CC also predicted similar dates
such as?
Ross opens a lot more opportunities. You’re also asking very generally. I don’t go there personally but if you join the Umich discord which you can find pretty easily you can ask some Ross students.
It also depends on what you’re looking for from a degree
About 100 get accepted yearly
