went with math and planning to try it first semester before making a decision

youll also get to take actual engineering courses

prob/stat math is just like

probability and stats

IE will give you a much broader view of the topics you learn

im planning to do masters asw so people told me a math bachelors is the most solid base you can have for these kind of jobs..

Yep, it's the only waitlist I'm on. On Reddit, it seems like there's been a lot of waitlist movement for other schools like Vanderbilt, Caltech, Williams, UVA, and WashU. Apparently, GT has started too, but there's been no information on GT's waitlist movements on Reddit.

Also, I have a suspicion that if anyone were to get off of the GT waitlist, it would be for their study abroad or summer entry program and not for the traditional fall entry

GT’s waitlist is lowkey a scam. First off, they official publish that they accept anywhere between 50-1250 people off the waitlist. Ridiculous range. There’s a chance that we could be offered a transfer pathway too, which I would absolutely take because I could go to a state school for free for a year. But that states school decision deadline was May 1 so…

Really? I didn’t know that, but it doesn’t seem logical that GT would offer a transfer pathway to that many people. Last year around 4000 people accepted a spot on the waitlist and 40ish actually got off so why would they offer a transfer pathway to 3950 students lol

From my school history, looks like GT gave more transfer pathway to public high schools. I am from public high,only accept, reject or transfer. I didn't see waitlist record for GT.

well also look at the requirements needed to transfer

like classes that will transfer, 3.3 minimum and 30 credits, 2 english classes from college, etc

which is cs+ ee, you can focus on software threads, you can transfer into cs through regular transfer though, not pathway transfer

you need 30 credits after high school, so ap/ dual credits will not fulfill the transfer pathway requirements, but ap/dual enrollment credit will go towards your overall degree at ga tech to graduate
