Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the threads. I think it forces you to take classes in another area rather than delving even deeper into a singular area. But all GT classes (probably less for intelligence due to large volume) are probably top-notch. There is not really a person who you can find that say they're underprepared for industry after GT.

As a transfer student, much the other way around imo. generally the threads you take complement each other and build atop each other, especially if you already have a plan for what you want to do. there is SO much flexibility in terms of classes and electives you can take in each thread towards your degree. I also think that a little bit of structure goes a long way, and i believe threads is just the right balance
