my roommate used to do 20 lines of coke a day, he's CS and he's getting out of here with a 3.05 gpa. He cheated through about 30% of his coursework here at tech, cheating as in getting someone else to literally take tests and what not for him. Even tho he got through those classes, and other ones where he didn't have help which he had failed and re-took, I wouldn't say he deserves to get a degree here.

I mean, that's not to say I don't want him to, he's one of my homies and I absolutely hope he gets that degree. but does he deserve it? I'd be lying if I said yes

but 99% of tech students aren't like that as far as I'm aware, so for the most part, yeah if u get through the classes and get that degree ur a god

also it's easy depending on how ur applying. if ur applying as an incoming freshman and get in then ya u get that guarenteed change. if u don't and u get conditional, then u have to be that major when u transfer in cuz it gets hard to change majors at that point, or else u will have to apply in the regular transfer pool if u want a different major

as conditional, I'm not sure if u even get the opportunity to switch if u accept ur major

so yes there are loopholes but only to a certain extent

The bulk is yeah, but it's important to consider the other options since it happens perhaps more than u think. there are still a SHIT ton of transfer students. For example, this past fall, 5200 - 5300 students were accepted (freshmen and transfers), of which 1200 were transfers. we're talking about almost a quarter of that entire incoming class

Not exactly. GA Tech technically does not admit by major, but the acceptance rates vary a little by major. Scheller is probably slightly easier to get into. It's not a huge difference, maybe 10-20% easier if comparing acceptance rates
