Possibly. I'd have to know what you even did to disable them in the first place, though. 
The mod Touring Carriages
It’s supposed to temporarily disable random encounters while you’re on a carriage instead it permanently disables any random encounters for the road of the carriage travels on
So if you travel from solitude to White run all the roads, the carriage used to get there now have random encounters disabled permanently

Every area I haven’t used the carriage

I'll have a look at the pc version to see what it's doing. I see a user commnt on nexus mentioning the same issue.
I'm hopeful they simply disabled the encounter markers, which should be reversible.

Well, as long as you have something to re-enable them, I guess. Ideally you'd probably want to reach out to the author and/or porter of the mod to see if they would simply fix it since that' a problematic thing for a mod to be doing. I should be able to add something for debug menu to fix the markers as well, assuming the object targeting doesn't work for it already.
I'm still looking into the mod itself at the moment. Gonna be a bit slow going for a little as i'm trying to eat at the same time. 
Well, I found mention of a global variable it turns off and then back on again relating to the wilderness encounter system, but i would think this would affect it globally rather than just the spots along the route. 
@snow fulcrumIf you feel like having a look on your end, you could try seeing if this global variable is enabled or disabled using the GetGlobalVariable command in Debug Menu. The formid of the global variable is "B8EC1".

So what’s causing the issue?
Good question. Simply put, I don't know yet. I've been looking at their scripts to see if I can find out what would be causing encounters to stop only along the route, but I've yet to see anything stand out as the potential issue other than the aforementioned global variable.
Honestly I'm thinking you should probably just reach out to the mod's author and (politely) ask them to look into the matter as they'd be the one most familiar with their work.
I’ll do that in the meantime, I may avoid using the mod in the future. I haven’t had good luck with carriage mods so far.
Every carriage mod I installed was extremely buggy except for that one issue I told you about this one was the first almost perfect one. I’ll report the issue so maybe the author will fix it for other people but I think I’m done.

I found out what the issue was. For some reason after random encounters is temporarily disabled, The roads need to reset after they are reenabled.
I found this out by waiting for 30 days inside a building
Is there anyway debug menu can reset the roads? It wasn’t a bug with the mod at all, but with the way the game handles disabling random encounters.
On xbox are we able to copy another's LO yet? Were we able to ever save LO's with this new update or no?

Sony only allows mods that make use of anything that’s already in game you can more or less rearrange anything the way you see fit. And to an extent you can make any new NPC you want. Quests and all. Unfortunately, it all has to be stuff that already exists within the game in some form.
It is technically possible to make good mods, but extremely difficult since you can’t use custom voice acting

This is armor from AC Odyssey. I really love these over-the-top type of "glowy" armors with effects and such and I've been looking for high quality armors like it for Skyrim, but I feel like 99% of the quality mods focus on "lore accurate" additions. Well, I played The Beyond Reach Mod using my character I’d sunk at least 500 hours in, after what they went through in that nightmare, I’ve decided to retire the character.
there's a "fixes" add-on made by someone else on Nexus who i've just requested permission from, so hopefully they give the greenlight and i'll be able to update the mod with the fix.

Anyone know if and when Bethesda is going to fix the Skyrim mod menu that got butchered back in December. Modding used to be fun, but since this update it's turned into a chore.
I love the Serana Dialogue Add On mod, but man, I wish there was an option for her to get concerned about your Skooma use or to get her to try skooma
@pulsar wing Unfortunately nothing in there actually answers my question. Sure they might have fixed some bugs but they seemed to have forgot to fix the important ones, like mods disabling and re-order themselves, the missing text and dialogue boxes. The crashing as you scroll through your load order. It’s pretty sad that after 5 months these bugs still haven't been addressed. They also took away access to WIP mods. The only positive that came out of this is that there is no more 150 mod limit. But honestly it's not really worth it considering all the other BS.
Just extremely disappointed. Like I said, modding used to be fun, now its not. It's a bloody stressful chore.
Your question has been answered already. When there is a date for said fix, it'll be in the #modding-news. Since there is not a posting, nobody knows.
The sum total of the information any of us have is essentially "they're working on it". When there's information beyond that, they'll tell us in #modding-news. Until then, just keep yourself busy. Play the game. Work on a mod. Play a different game. Etc. 
If modding isn't fun, it's probably time to do something else that is for awhile. Skyrim will still be here when you want it.

@visual marsh Hi, from the description on your Clannfears SE port you are aware of the summoning spell not working with Ordinator's Elemental Potency perk. Apparently this issue appears to happen with any mod that amplifies magic spell damage/duration. With such a mod the summon duration becomes 1200 seconds and doesn't work. Is there any chance of reducing the base duration to 120 seconds, as the Daedroth doubles from 120 seconds to 240 seconds and works fine.

The mod works just fine. If you're using SSE Engine Fixes, make sure you disabled the 2-3 options that are currently broken.
Those options are not supposed to be broken in the most recent update.

Here are the issues that have happened the most number of times: 1. My load order changes by itself, 2. Some creations are sometimes disabled by itself, and 3. Some mods are deleted by itself. Note- I have had to: a. Re-order my load order, b. Re-enable creations, and c. Re-download creations. Note 2- sometimes I have had to do one or more of the things I mentioned in the previous note before loading/continuing a saved game.

I'm stumped. I'm trying to make a mod to give all the Creation Kit Gauntlets an unarmed damage bonus perk. This is the first time I've ever attempted something like this. I set up a keyword "Brawler Gauntlet" and added the keyword to all the CC gauntlets. I then made a perk (in screenshot) that I think should add 5 damage if they have equipped an item with the "Brawler Gauntlet" keyword and they have the Unarmed weapon equipped. Instead, it seems to be affecting all unarmed damage. Am I missing something super obvious here?

Possibly; have you tried looking at the mod in the CK instead of xEdit so you have the benefit of a full GUI rather than trying to parse the bare-metal view of the data?
Also, on a related point, your current approach will only work for the player, as in the base game NPCs can't be given new perks at run-time. They can equip the item, but won't receive the damage bonus.
Yeah, I don't really care about making sure the NPCs have the bonus. Unless you have another mod for integration, then CC gauntlets will almost never show up on an enemy and that enemy would also need to be unarmed to benefit anyway.
As far as using CK... I could, but I'm much more used to xEdit. CK seems more nebulous to me. Guess I can't really say that though seeing as I'm having a hard time parsing this as well.
You should download mods while online, once finished, quit the game, go offline in settings and then reopen skyrim and reorder your LO from there

I have a small question regarding PS modding and am being too curious to not ask it.
I've made a small mod for PS (well, ESP version of one which uses Base Object Swapper SKSE plugin) that replaces certain in-game clutter and some flora with those HQ models from the Resource Pack, in order to provide PS players with at least a tiny taste of PC modding opportunities in terms of custom modelling/graphics.
The problem is the Creation Kit refuses to accept "...the following external files:" <- which are unmodified unpacked RP models to which i simply re-addressed (keeping the filepaths and etc.) the appropriate in-game items to with no actual attaching of anything to an archive.
Is that how it's supposed to be and is there no way around it?

I had a similar issue with scripts on a mod I was uploading to PlayStation, I made an NPC a trainer, trainers use scripts and the CK said I couldn't upload it because PS doesn't support external files, I didn't think it would work but I moved the scripts out of the scripts folder to my desktop, the mod uploaded fine and the trainers work as intended.
This may not help you with your issue but it could be worth a try, best of luck with what you are trying to do.

I have been having a funny bug happeneing in my cheat room. This is the same cheat room that I have used every since I found out there was such a thing. When I got into the experience room I gain my XP points and when I attempt to add them the game CTD. I have tried multiple number of times I have killed a mudcrab and that didn't seem to matter either. Is there a way I can increase the level of my Skyrim character so I can meet the ebony warrior. After I complete the jagged crown quest I talked to ulfric stormcloak and he wants me to deliver his war axe to jarl Balgruuf but I don't get his war axe added to my inventory
I go to whiterun anyway just to see what happens and the jarl acknowledges that I have the axe but won't continue his sentence on what his answer is

Some will, some won't. Look at the mod's download page (assuming nexus) and you can usually see what the version is meant for. There are some where it doesn't matter. If they're SSKE dependent, though, they will need the versions to match, though many of those have multiple versions, along the lines of 1.5.97 and below, or 1.6.xx and up.

It's not something that anyone else can really decide for you. There are advantages and disadvantages to each. I suppose, if there are mods (for example those which require net script framework) that you really want, it may be worthwhile for you.

99.9999999% of mods work with 1.6.1170. All non skse mods do and the vast majority skse mods do as well. There’s bug fixes and performance enhancements on the 1.6.1170 version that aren’t present on 1.5.97. Most modern skse mods now are either built for 1.6.1170 or are built with address library NG which works with everything

So, I downloaded the, oddly named, mod called Coco Nutty Pirates, I truly do love the design the way the gold meshes with the outfit colors, however, I absolutely DETEST the “Jiggle” Physics that come with the mod.

Anybody know if there's a resurgence of the morag tong fishing patch as I think it added a fishing settlement that has effectively replaced the morag tong hideout so I can't actually start the quest line or even find the morag tong
I do not. However, I will note that if the hideout has an interior you may be able to teleport into the interior if you can get either a valid RefID for one of the NPCs inside or the Cell name for the interior, as building interiors that you go through loading screen doors to reach are actually in a separate space and wouldn't be overwritten by an exterior location conflict.
It's not ideal, but without a patch it may let you do the quest. Maybe.
I appreciate the suggestion, however I'm on Xbox and I presume you need console commands to do that and so obviously I unfortunately can't use console commands
😅 That's specfically what Debug Menu is and what it's for; it's an xbox mod for making console comands (and other debugging functions) available for use.

Im making a quest, something to do with a troll after I stop speaking to him the quest starts. I want the player to retrieve a tablet I just copied the DragonStone and gave it my own ID and everything. I made sure to include it in the quest objectives. Im having trouble with the quest aliase. Its marked as a Quest Object. I just placed it at some random shrine. There is no quest marker to retrieve said tablet, and I can drop it and sell it. May someone teach me of my wrongdoings?

The tutorial has the alias create the item inside the NPC inventory. It looks like you have your version setup right to point at a specific reference for your hand placed item. Im sure you have verified your quest it running and started, but since your tablet alias is optional, maybe it is never "filling" the alias? That would explain why it doesnt behave as a quest-item and doesnt work with an objective marker.
You might use a console command like sqs <quest-editor-id> or sqv <quest-editor-id> to see the filled values.

I think there is a triggering action. I didn't see the guy for a long time and then I hit that bandit hideout on the way to Dragon Bridge and Solitude. Then, I went into the bandit cave after clearing it, then he came and talked to me when I came out. I had to run basically back to Whiterun so if he asks you to meet him, take that option. I didn't catch it if he did.
Make sure you go to options and choose enable all the mods.

YES, on Xbox it's the recently updated, absolutely awesome mod by Skyler, the Debug Menu, you can walk into any Skyrim homes or modded ones, or a cave or fort, and clean them out, and then fill them up with your own design by using the Interact- Build- Decorate mod, between those two mods it's a haven for us xboxers. You can even resize furniture, chests etc.
Skyler hangs out under the Skyrim forum on this server I believe as well, and is super helpful. The Debug Menu is groundbreaking. Both mods on Bethnet. Have fun!
On XB, when in game accessing the creation list I get that problem, especially if I scroll too fast, I have almost 140 mods. I just stopped looking at them lol ...I also noticed that when I quit the game and go under creations I have to wait several minutes for the images of creations to load, only then it's safe to go under my load order, otherwise they get all messed up.
The modder that goes by Cristobot is the master for vampire stuff, check on Bethnet up under XB. He does have something on nexus as well but not much.
That exists definitely I ve seen it in some old crafting old type of mods, the bandages and prisoner cuffs, blindfolds. I want to say something like "craft everything no name changes" or similar? - they are rather old and messy as nobody updated them for ages but have some good stuff in, I even remember lockpicking gloves that have an enchantment that lockpicks don't break, or invisibility robes.
Hey, on Xbox currently are two ways, you go to your console, creations and manually search one by one - long slow and painful but it will work...unless the server crashes on you lol 🤷🏼♀️ if you have an account on Bethnet, login, find the mods and you can bookmark them to store for later, and you want to 'add to library' the mods you wish to play, then go on console and under creations, load order, there's an option to download mods from online library, but it doesn't always get all mods, for me it misses about 40 out of the 140 I have, so you want to have a list somewhere to double check and manually download the rest - sorry. For me the RDO, Custom Home, Realistic Conversations mods are guaranteed to be missed each time and I need to do them manually.

There are third party converters for specific file types that go both ways SE->LE and LE->SE, depending on the setting used, you would have to check the Permissions on the mod itself to see if they allow for conversions tho
I did send a message to the mod creator but I don't know if he or she would be able to do it.
But I also found a guide to do it on Nexus.
Problem is my programming knowledge isn't up to snuff on doing it.
I can barely make a Linux computer work with a Frankensteined OS.

Anyone know of any mods that add off hand items similar to Diablo? I'm looking for mods that add offhand items that help by boosting a skill like maybe a floating orb that buffs destruction or perhaps a talisman that buffs 1 handed. I've found 1 so far, JS Ioun Stones SE, but I've had little luck finding more.

Hey can anyone help make an LE conversion of the Vampire lord re revamped? Hey! need a lil help here... so i have Improved Camera, CFPAO and MCO for third person but my character keeps using 3rd person animation in 1st person (the MCO ones) instead of the CFPAO ones...
I have a creation kit question: I have the skyrim.esm activated and when I try clicking on cell view and loading a cell i.e "riverwood" I get over 100 warnings and it doesn't load. I'm wondering how I can make it load? I never had this issue before.

It really is crazy how bad the new Bnet mod menu performs. Just crashed (again) while doing absolutely nothing to my LO. (I was reading mod descriptions on my phone for a few minutes) The offline trick seems to be the only “workaround” but that has drawbacks and occasional crashes as well.
make a save with all current mods. disable a large mod, hard reset, delete said large mod, hard reset, download new mod that you want, load the save (you will be missing the large mod you deleted) and you will get a prompt to download it
(Still haven’t tried it myself but I stole that from someone in another server. Seems like a common method)
My frames are lagging hard on xbox series s when I’m in the first person and I go to look around frames are super laggy

Don’t think any of those really do textures . But when in doubt move Skyland lower and it will overwrite anything above it

I never do. But it’s up to you. When it comes to textures lower one wins. The mods you mentioned are not texture mods. But if you want it won’t hurt anything.
And make sure you hard reset after installing

Not sure about revitalized Skyrim. Never used it. But I guess it uses scripts to move everything to new locations? Scripts aren’t always heavy but that sounds like a lot. Just a guess. Otherwise nothing else really jumps out at me. But typically grass and tree mods have one of the biggest impacts on performance. Divergence seems to be about the only performance friendly option. Otherwise you have to live with the affect of great looking grass and teees.
What would you all say is the best UI mod out there to use?

Edit, resolved the issue, but now I'm struggling with another one. Whenever the camera is close to my character, NPCs, animals and/or some random objects like braziers, they are incredibly shadow-y and dark. From further away, they are lit normally. Suggestions?

hi anyone who makes mods in the ck, can i get some help, i want to make a mod thta let you make or more like add stone to your staff or more a new staff that i made that will do so you can have like a fire stone and a speed stone and when you add that to the staff it will combine them to make a fire that is fast spell, i mean that the staff shoot out of it, how can i best make it? i have found out that its not that much likely to do as i want to have 5 type of spell and 10 tybe of moddifire that can add to that spell on the staff, any ide of how to start or whor i start on usesing the SSE as im pitty new to the ck, i have use for like 20 hours so i know a little but i do know i to programme so i have goning for me

Jk’s adds a palisade wall by the mill. It most likely clips with the new houses but I could be wrong

Yea as expected. Some pretty good clipping with that wall. Anska’s house isn’t horrible but Sidnach Salty-Eater’s house is significant.

Both Mod Organizer 2 and Vortex have LOOT integrated, but in varying degrees. MO2 only uses a "lite" integration, though you can still use the full LOOT tool alongside it - it just takes an extra step. Mod Organizer 2 is also white & grey in color (depending on Windows system theme) so that's probably the one you saw.
NMM is a much older and buggier mod manager that was the predecessor to Vortex and is not recommended at all. fwiw I personally recommend Mod Organizer 2 over Vortex, also.

As I noted it might be. The color of it depends on your system settings. On my system it's gray and white but on yours it might not.

Could someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? I made a custom race to fix Serana's eyes after her cure quest, I'd like to apply this to her once the quest is complete and I don't know how. Also, I'm not sure how to get her makeup and all that to appear on her face with the custom race, so it is actually on her skin texture. They do, yes.
It's likely an issue with your setup. If you're on PC, make sure you're launching the game using your mod manager and setup your mods therefrom. If you're on xbox, make sure you're in offline mode before using the mods menu.

just installed the latest .net framework. just re-downloaded the entire game and CK to make sure I have the latest version of both. Installed the CK fixes mod to make it usable (also crashed without it, so I figure I'll use the version that is broken but at least not slow), ran as administrator.
Still, the CK crashes the second I try to upload.

Offhand, no. I haven't had that problem. Although I also haven't gotten the latest iteration of CK fixes yet either. I used it previously with the bethnet launcher version of the CK, but haven't been compelled to re-acquire it since.

In general a crash like that from a program tends to have to do with an invalid memory access attempt, such as a pointer being invalid and accessed anyways and/or something being 'null'. You could try seeing if it generated a readable log to get a sense of what it was doing just before it crashed and maybe figure out a reason based on that, but it's just hard to say based on only the information provided. 
Although I do have a thought: When you say "Still, the CK crashes the second I try to upload.", should I take that to mean that the CK loaded normally and worked normally until you attempted to upload a mod to bethesda's service? @heavy galleon If so, perhaps see if you have something like a firewall or antivirus interfering with the CK? E.g. make sure you have an exception set for the game's folders so it's not trying to quarantine and/or sandbox the CK if for some reason it's getting a false positive?
It may possibly be triggering a heuristics hit on the code being run, especially since you have something like CK fixes in use as that tends to involve code injection. I.e. it's a valid use case but algorithms don't always understand that and it may look to it like the actions of a virus so it intervenes and the program crashes as a result.
CK is already on the list of exceptions
This only happens when I try to upload this mod with it's archives. If I select no archives, it uploads just fine.
Ck isn't generating a log anywhere that I can find, or I'd be picking it apart. I've been dealing with this for DAYS now and I'm beyond frustrated.
I remember there being an issue with the CK where having a bsa file already generated would crash the CK when trying to upload to Xbox. I don't know if this has been solved in the meantime. 🤔
It has, apparently. Lots of other mods have gone up and worked just fine.
Even when I generate new BSAs for this one within CK, it still doesn't work.
so yeah, several days of trying EVERYTHING to fix this and nothing has worked. I am well beyond the point of frustration
I have freshly reinstalled both the game AND the CK, tried the CK with and without the fixes mod, ran the CK both as admin and normally.
I have tried the old BSAs and making new ones. I am out of ideas.
Throwing more ideas at the wall: Do you have OneDrive installed & active? And if so, did you set exceptions in it as well?

It's a longshot of it being the cause, but in some instances onedrive has been known to mess with Skyrim's install so it messing with the CK at least seems plausible.
nothing is automatically being backed up to onedrive, so that's not the issue

there is something within one of these BSAs that is causing the CK to crash, I've determined. The ESM uploads by itself perfectly happily if I tell the CK not to include the BSAs
but, the mod works perfectly fine. I had it working in my LO until i needed to clear reserve a couple days ago due to a problem with another mod. HOW can I get CK to just upload the mod as-is?
Dunno. I've never experienced this particular issue. 
I suppose you could submit a support ticket and have them see if something is borked on their end and/or with the CK. Probably ping Carto about it after you create the ticket, too; iirc he can expedite the ticket so it gets handled faster or somesuch.
bugging bethesda themselves is a last resort, but I'll consider it unless I get some earth shattering good new ideas
I mean, that's part of why the system is there in the first place. Nothing wrong with asking them for help, especially after you've tried to exhaust this many possible options already. 
I do wonder though if maybe there is a filename issue or somesuch, like perhaps an obscenity filter is triggering but instead of being shown an error message the program crashes. One thing you might try is uploading the mod as a new mod and see if it accepts it that way? Alternatively, if that doesn't work, then try again but with a different filename.
Basically the idea being to probe the upload system with different tweaks to the parameters to try and narrow down the cause.
Also remember that if it is a bug with the CK and/or the website they'll need to know about it so it can get fixed, which is the other reason for submitting a ticket.
I did eventually find the issue
there was one .nif in the mod, 3kb in size, that CK just would not allow to be uploaded no matter what. It was only adding an effect, so I deleted it and replaced it with another duplicated effect .nif that's roughly the same size. it uploaded no problem.
it had nothing to do with the name or anything else. something to do with the file itself caused CK to freak out, all it took to fix was for it to be swapped out for another file with an identical name. I have not the faintest idea why.

Also, that Eidolon Keep house mod is too friggin huge. And I found another with some bugs, so I'm just gonna use Heiljarchen Hall for the umpteenth time lol

Found it. Only an option when looking at load order list. Would suggest adding it as an option when viewing mod description as well. However no way am I going to spend time trying to like mods when the menu constantly crashes. Sorry MAs.

Hey everyone happy Saturday!! I have finally made the jump from XBOX one to PC and Skyrim. Wow are there alot of mods!! I have installed a couple of mod packs from nexus as well as some new world spaces but when I start the game it goes as far as the picture I'm using as a menu replacer and that's it. I have tried disabling and rebooting the computer. Looking at Vortex there doesn't seem to be any conflicts and it doesn't CTD it just sits there. I did manage to get to the creations page once butI couldn't install anything. It acted like it was doing something in the background and was waiting to install the cheat room mod I wanted to use in tandem with the extension I found on Nexus. Any suggestions. The first time I booted the game it did the hardware check and stated I could use Ultra Quality(assuming that's good) So, I assume I can run the game.
With limited modding experience, my suggestion would be to disable a few mods at a time until it stops hanging. I've generally experienced that hang when a plugin has an error.
Did you launch the game once before installing mods btw?

Since Todd Howard has recently mentioned they worry about people's load orders being deleted in a case of mod space expansion. We Are Completely OK with them being wiped if it means more storage for mods! Thumbs Up if you agree!

If a warning, say, 30+ days ahead was issued under the "skyrim updates" that the mods were about to be wiped, that would be more than enough i think.

Carto has explained this issue many times before. It's not something you can selectively toggle and it requires partition changes to the user's storage media.
They could also announce it via their media accounts.

There is no optional when you're doing an update of that nature.

Todd Howard, just after the Starfield June Update, has gotten interviewed by MrMattyPlays. And from there, it seems the only problem is they don't want the console players to experience the "modpocalypse". (Like we all PC players do with each update).

You don't get it. You can't make system level changes with a DLC. It would absolutely have to be done at the game code level, which means a content patch. FOR EVERYONE. They have literal millions of peope to account for.

I understand. But you are talking about separating a part of the game and updating it as a dlc which would still require a patch - that way the hypothetical base player wouldn't be able to connect to the creations without the dlc that you talk about being installed.

I understand completely. Just stating the facts that, in my experience, the issue BGS refers to when speaking about space expansions has already occured even without that very space expansion. And there were many whose LOs just got ruined. But it was worth it by every measure imo.
I think everybody would agree that both the new UI and the new functionality is really cool. Especially for the Xbox/PS players.
Yes, but now the system has been moved to allow cloud saved LOs and restoring your LOs on the console. Yeah you might lose a saved game but pretty much everyone who was playing the game modded did with the December update
its not it is hard to find content and it disables content somtimes deletes content aswell
But to be honest, I don't think the current version we have of Skyrim on console is stable enough to support a large increase in storage space
It works much better on PC. They have stated multiple times they are working on fixing those as well as adding "achievement-friendly" creations functionality

I'm using 2 from the new creations from bethesda.net, have Skyrim AE installed (all Creation Club content), one mod from bethesda.net, and a lot of mods from Nexus Mods at the same time. Skyrim runs stable with no great problems so far.
I cannot speak for Fallout 4 (i own Fallout 3, but don't have it installed) and Starfield, because i don't have modding experience with these 2 games.
How do you manage the mods? I may or may not be getting a gaming pc
I'm using Mod Organizer 2.5.0 (MO2) to manage the mods. It recognizes automatically the Creation Club content and the creations from bethesda.net. The mods from Nexus were downloaded from inside the web browser and MO2 catched the download link and saved the mod in its download folder. From there i could install the mod from inside MO2.
MO2 uses a virtual file system - it keeps your skyrim data folder clean of installed mods.
And one more question: do I buy Skyrim ae on steam or Bethesda.net ?

Personal preference i would say. Ask a few people and you will get different answers i'm sure. Exception is ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) - this one i bought from bethesda.net. But don't ask me why - i don't know anymore ... 🙂

Personally I think if you buy the game on one store, you should have a copy of that game on all other stores. Just too much mess if not
Steam in my opinion has the advantage that they do put games on sale with a discount from time to time. Just check in regularly and look if your desired game has gone down in price or not. You can put games you eventually want to buy on a so-called "wish list". That way you get a better overview if they are on discount or not.

Probably? You could also just pay skill trainers. 5 skill levels per character level is nothing to sneeze at.
You may also want to look for a mod that adds non-combat sources of armor skill leveling, such as a small passive gain from moving around while wearing it.
ill be honest a nice fit for this sparing system would slot nicely into the companions faction

does anyone know if there is a Skyrim mod that can investigate your mods to indicate what is preventing it from turning on? I click on the "play" button in steam and the splash screen comes up, I click start and the button changes to "stop" and then within seconds it goes back to play. I don't have any issues as far as Vortex is concerned when I deploy. When I verify Skyrim files it tells me everything is fine and when I first turn it on it states I can play on Ultra quality. Is there a mod for the Xbox version of Skyrim that allows you to begin quests without actually meeting the requirements? I was using the alternative perspective mod and I can’t start the main quest because the script completely broke for Helgen and I’m locked out of the main quest
Which alternate start mod are you using? Live Another life works well if you want to use vanilla start or start in any of the guilds or many other locations.
I’m unable to get the exact name however I do remember it was called alternative perspective. This mod starts you in a room in helgen with a little dragon. I’d rather not restart at this point since I’ve done a considerable amount of quests. My problem arose when I attempted to start the main quest with this mod and the start completely broke
My question really is, is there a mod equivalent to the commands menu on pc? I have attempted to use the Debug menu and the quest debugger mods respectively, however they don’t allow you to forcibly to start quests
Debug Menu does; you just have to enter the quest's FormID, not the EditorID (aka Quest ID).
Ah, that’s on me. How do you get the quests formID then?
Various ways. The current best method for vanilla game quests is looking the quest up first via the UESP wiki to obtain its EditorID/QuestID, such as "MQ203", and then look up that ID in the UESP record database to find the game record by that ID which then list's the record's info containing the FormID. Quests from third-party mods and creations unfortunately for the time being require someone looking them up for you (or you looking them up yourself) on PC and/or on a website if they've been documented somewhere.
Ah so I seem to have misunderstood what would have happened upon the completion of Unbound
I was hoping for before the storm to begin, however it has not, is there a way to simply begin a quest rather than completing it?
Using the SetStage command along with a valid stage # can cause a quest to start, yes.
The UESP wiki pages for each quest include a list of their stages which can be useful for using said command.
Just remember that using commands to edit quests is a last-resort option and not suggested to be done unless it's absolutely necessary, and once you do get things working again it is best to try and continue playing the game and progressing quests normally rather than continuing to use the commands to further edit quests. They are commands best used in the absolute lowest moderation, in other words.
The best-case scenario is to have bugfixing mods present in your load order from the very beginning such as USSEP so that you don't encounter the bugs in the first place and thus have no need to use those commands, ideally.
I had downloaded all the patches available for this specific mod however it still broke, I think I’ll stick to the Alternative Start - a new perspective mod instead as it has caused no issues whatsoever

The issue arose during the Carts arrival in helgen, when the substitute for the player character was meant to be executed the character did not move, I attempted to then retry just for the carts not to arrive and the whole sequence permanently broke (I did attempt to retry the whole sequence entirely several times over)
I'm not familiar with how their mod works but Helgen is a very sensitive sequence and doesn't like to be messed with.
You could give my alt-start mod a try and see if it works better. For mine I don't use a substitute for the player - you are the real you for a vanilla start.

yeah for this port, guizz had to rebuild the mod so it'll need custom patches and it may still clash with other mods if u r not careful

Walking usually requires a navmesh, and I’m not sure you can have those function above the ground.

on ps5, i downloaded it with the intention of starting a new save (this was on a fresh reinstall of the game too). my LO was at around 150-200 mods and it was working ok with in-game testing but once i downloaded AI overhaul, the game stayed in an infinite loading screen once i exited the creation menu. i tried closing and reopening skyrim but the game just wouldn’t load there either. had to reinstall (again), tho can’t say for certain if it was AI overhaul that caused this or some other issue but i decided it’s not worth it

I'd like to be able to do more than just disable/enable statics though.
Is it at all possible to disable/enable different landscape quad changes? Both ground texture and also the ground mesh?
I want to be able to expand the farm in stages, which would require swapping landscape textures mid-game.

Hey everyone its me again. I have finally moved skyrim to a PC instead of Xbox One (that was a freaking nightmare) I am having trouble with Vortex (it also a complete nightmare) so it was suggested I use MO2. So I get MO2 and I transfer the mods over from Vortex (which wasn't actually as easy as I was lead to believe) I added the mods I was (which were places like Bruma and Eylswere and Midwood Ilse) things that I could never just do on the Xbox. So I set out to get everythig set up and there were issues so I had to disable everthing and go one by one. I activated a mod and kept going and if I found one that wouldn't work I would delete it and move on. Then all of a sudden I couldn't activate/deactivate anything, MO2 started to freeze so I thought okay I'll simply remove and reinstall everything. After I deleteted the mods and anything related to SKSE etc and flushed the trashbin. I noticed my C:\ had 297GM of space used, not available but used. Is there a place that is super secrete folder for either of the programs to archive mods?
You can also check if you still have any backup files from Vortex in User > AppData > Roaming > Vortex > Downloads

Have you tried using things like LOOT, Wrye Bash etc?
Also try using a crash logger if you haven’t already. These two are good but be sure to only use one, not both.

Has anyone cracked the code as to why sometimes on Xbox the pop up menus stop working for some reason? Like when using alternate stat the menu doesn’t even pop up to allow selection. And the Holidays menu is half missing.
My guess is it may potentially be related to the SWF mod, as the only time I've seen that bug crop up was from someone who was/is using it posting a screenshot of it. If you haven't yet, you could try seeing if you can replicate the issue without the mod present. Since they're editing the messagebox UI code it's plausible to me they may have missed something, perhaps a fringe case or other issue causing the message text to be missing altogether (message boxes have a message text limit of 1023 characters including text replacement tags, so that could also be the issue, potentially). Although that is speculation on my part, as I'm on PC and both don't currently use any UI mods nor have ever encountered such a glitch in my own tests and playthroughs. I would be inclined to think it might be specific to the xbox/consoles, but a quick google search turns up a reddit thread from 4 years ago regarding someone on PC encountering blank message boxes and the replies also posit it being a glitch in a UI mod. 
It could be SWF related. But it just started today. I’ll test without it tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion.

Like a patch? Usually those are fine. Actually changing the mod depends on the perms tab if it allows modifications or not.

Plus even people without SWF have run into this bug. This has been an issue on PC for years and the only thing that fixes/prevents it is Engine Fixes which we can't have on Xbox sadly.
Since this is a new bug on Xbox we originally thought it was due to people going over the file handle limit by installing too many mods but even small LOs get this issue after awhile. Usually just closing and reloading the game fixes it temporarily (few hours).
I have not been able to fix it so far. Removing a few mods and hard resetting. No change. Maybe I just didn’t remove enough. But ugh. One more thing on the list of problems. I so wish carto could hang out with me for a weekend on my couch and see how many problems this update has caused.
Have you shared your current LO in the other server? If so, I should have some time during the week to install your LO on my Xbox to see if I also have the problem or atleast see when the problem starts. Was doing this with other people that have run into this issue and haven't been able to pinpoint anything yet so maybe yours can help!
I haven’t. Haven’t put in into a template yet. Think I’ll just start disabling chunks of mods at a time. Then reverse it to see if there is a tipping point. If not I’ll even try and clear reserve space and reinstall and see if somehow things magically work again.

Def seems to be a mod count issue. I disabled all mods except mesh texture and some other basics mods like USSEP and such. All good. Added in a bunch more all good. Finally saved all the JKs outskirts mods and patches (about 20 mods) for last. All good until I enabled those. I wasn’t really in love with any of the outskirts. So think I’ll just ditch them.
Not sure if type of mods (esm, esp, esl matters). Not going to try and figure that out myself.

Well, might be mod count or maybe something else in terms of some sort of quantity being exceeded. I'm tempted to think it may have to do with how many Quest forms someone has in their playthrough, as Message forms can be assigned as owned by a particular quest which is used by the text replacement system for things like alias tags. If the quest borks up for some reason (overloading, etc), it at least seems in the realm of possibility it could screw with trying to display the text. It's a bit of a reach, but hard to think of much else with so little information to go on. 
Although the quest thing may not fit if the bug is occurring with Debug.MessageBox() function calls too. 
The text bug is for all text sadly. Nothing to do with aliastags or message boxes specifically. All vanilla + modded dialog, books and message boxes are blank.
For more info: This is at the very start using LAL. Still in the starting room. And the mods I added last night that put me over whatever limit are not the ones I have now removed. I removed all the JK outskirts mods but they were enabled prior to this problem. Now allowing me to use the new mods I added.
To clarify further on what I mean, it may not necessarily be the mod count itself but rather what the mods contain adding to some total that eventually breaches a limit. E.g. there are things like the reference handle cap that can seem like it's the number of plugins when it's actually specific to the number of concurrently loaded references. The plugin count can at least be tested as the cause if someone tries creating a full load order with dummy plugins that either contain no records or say only contain a single record. If the message boxes still crap out even with the mods containing nothing, then you'd have the answer. I'm skeptical that's the specific cause, though; not that it can't be, but that it just doesn't seem likely.

I got a strange issue, XB here. I have two mods by the same author that replace two of the AE player homes. I've noticed that if iI am inside either of the two homes, and try to save, my save history 'splits' as if I started yet another modded game, meaning that if, say, my saves were up to number 1144 prior to entering those houses, and I try to save again inside, I get another 1144 and it treats it as a completely separate 'linage' of saves for a lack of a better word. I even get a message as if I just modded for the first time stating "creation are loaded, achievements disabled" even tho I've been playing with mods for months, and in fact those two player homes where the issue occurs are mods...then I need to quit the game, load all saves to see them all, and manually delete the most recent ones to get it back to normal. Both mods are by Crystal Tower and other than that I don't have any other problems with these mods, I mean they are great.

does anyone know how to fix this? i stopped playing for awhile after the update that merged creation club and mods and restarted yesterday. i had to manually install all my mods into the correct load order and now it has screwed up my ability to disable, delete or reorder my mods. 🫠
What mod is that? Was it removed from Bnet?

Try a hard reset I guess just to see if that does anything. Otherwise you may need to clear reserve so e and download all mods again.

Quit game. Then turn off your Xbox by holding down the power button on your console until you hear everything fully shut down. Then wait 1-2 mins. Turn back on. You can unplug for that 1-2 mins as well if you want to be extra sure the cache gets cleared.
If the above doesnt work, you will want to clear your reserved space/ game saved data

hey everyone! I was wondering, I use the Ship named Scarlett in Skyrim. It has been a mainstay ever since I got AE and an Xbox One. Now, I know it is on the nexus and I have installed it so that's good. I have added multiple worldspaces (Wyrmtooth, Midwood isle, Northpoint, etc), is there are way to create something that would insert those worldspaces into the ships options of where to port? I know currently it has all of the major ports in skyrim and Raven Rock, but Is there a patch that can add other places? If so what would you call that?
I should add that I have moved over to a PC to play the game

At this point I have tried pretty much everything under the sun, including every single suggested method I've found. This man has plagued this playthrough for about two years now. The only deterrent I've found is to cast Instant Death on him and it makes him limp after me instead of walking up and yelling in my face. I've installed Kill Essential NPC mods that he is completely invincible to. Hell, General Tullius and Ulfric have long been dead before him. The most efficient way I've been able to get rid of him for a short time is to wait until he shows up and then fast travel to the other side of the map and do quests on that side of the world for a while.
With the plate glitch I'm able to get back into locked doors in Bloodchill Manor, but the gargoyles never re-activate. At this point I've considered him a staple of my playthrough, which is really unfortunate and annoying. I tried the Quest Fix ring in your mod as well as the force speak to see if I could force him to continue the quest dialogue since the waiter and all the other vampires are dead. No such luck— all I'm able to do is ask him about becoming Bloodkin.
Can you just use my Erase NPCs mod to erase him?

Does anyone know what can cause the mod "Tournament of Ten Bloods" to crash upon first starting the game at the menu?
Yeah whenever I start up the game and just before the title screen shows with the whole "New Game, Load Game, Creations" and what not, game instantly CTD and I've isolated it to Tournament of the Ten Bloods by FrankFamily.
Never had problems with it before until now, so I'm wondering if anyone else had a similar issue as mine.

Does anyone know how to use the mod menu on x box? I gave up on Skyrim after I couldn't navigate it and download mods at all. :/ tried to get a few at a time. Wouldn't work
Download online. Then exit game. Go offline in Xbox settings. Start game. Say yes when it asks if you want to organize your LO offline.

There has been only one update since the new menu was released in Nov. that was in January. No idea of they tried to address that problem.

Best suggestion is to search for mods on Bnet (not Xbox menu). Bookmark them. Then go into your mod menu on Xbox and download all your bookmarked mods. Download one at a time. Wait until one is downloaded before downloading the next.

Really Bnet is way better than Xbox menu. You will find your mods faster.

You can’t download from Bnet. You bookmark the mods you want to sue. Then go into your mod menu. Find the bookmark section on mod menu to download mods. Only problem. With that is it does limit number of mods you can see in the bookmark section. Especially now that we are not limited to 150 anymore.

Using Bnet has always been the better option. Old system and new system. Searching for mods on Xbox is barely worth trying.

The issue being that whenever I try to load up the game and start a new save, either upon entering the character creation screen the game crashes or the whole save becomes corrupted, or after creating the character the game crashes.
can someone help me with changing the appearance of the Herika GPT mod? I'm trying to do things properly to learn to make my own mod so i followed some videos on making and esp and changing the nif and dds files after using nif skope, nif optimizer, and nif merge but only managed to change Herika's skin color to a dark elf's. she's still has her breton body. i tried making a body in bodyslider but she's still using her original body, too. I can't tell where i may have got wrong. i suspect its something with the Nif or DDS but not sure which one or in what step.

Make sure you read mod descriptions fully. Especially ELFX shadows. As there are some other mods you may need along with it.

Well I’m not sure what is going on for you but it works fine for me. What exactly is happening?
the mods wil not enable. It tells me that USSEP is necessary. I installed it first like I always do and when I looked at my load order 10 mods are disabled because I am missing USSEP. Such as Campfire. archery tweaks AE. And yes I restarted the game are shut the console off and unplugged it. I relogged into beth.net and the USSEP that I want/need doesn't exist anymore
Odd that you can’t see USSEP. But I would suggest two things. 1) Search for USSEP in the mod menu. Make sure it shows downloaded. If it does then delete it and download it again. 2) Then quit the mod menu. Quit the game. Go offline in Xbox settings. Start the game and then modify your LO offline. It is virtually impossible to organize a LO online anymore. Part of what happens is mods get disabled.
no no, you misunderstand, I have the version you sent me. I have it installed. It is enabled. Campfire does not recognize it as USSEP. ALL the mods that need USSEP do not see the one you sent me. It is in my load order and it is at the top and I promise that it is enabled. Campfire and several other mods I use will not accept the version that is on xbox

and the link that was there is in mods description has a number that starts with 288 and the one you sent me is different. And I use these mods every play through, there's no way
USSEP was updated to be the combined Xbox and Pc version. That’s why many people have old links.
But the file name is the same. Not sure what it’s not working with those mods.
every single USSEP dependant? that seems pretty fantastic. There has always been 2 copies on beth.net for the xbox one and I'm telling you the one I want/need isn't there. I can't play the game on my PC so I must play it on xbox one
The old USSEP links don’t work. You need the new updated version I linked above. If mods that require it don’t work with it for some reason I’m not sure what tot ell you. But it works with 100% of my mods that require it. Which is quite a few.

you missed what I wrote. I just installed the game today. It wasn't installed until this morning I just updated it and downloaded CC, everything is installed but the version of USSEP for Xbox One is incompatible with all mods. I don't understand why you don't believe me. Are you telling on your xbox one is using the version you sent me? I can't believe that a fresh install would be in question. Yes I have checked several times that it is installed and it is enabled
and I'm on an xbox one there is no other way of looking at my load order. I am not making this up. Why would I?
