Which is worse because Vampire is a very delicate game about abuse and crime and it takes a lot of tact to write because it deals with very sensitive topics. Because vampires are innately harmful to humans in very scary ways.

So Vampire is about personal horror. You are the monster that people are scared of and the conflict is trying to resist that.

There are vampires who maintain their humanity and try to make the world a better place. Like Cedric Calhoun who was turned, killed his rival gang leader and upon realizing that he orphaned two children, swore to dedicate his unlife to making the world a better place.

The quote is "Vampire is about who you are, and how that shapes the monster you become."

It'a about the struggle to resist becoming a monster despite being innately harmful and predatory to humans.

I could imagine a case where you’d include a clan with extreme ideology so your player character can break out of it.

So clan stereotypes used to be a thing before V5 but they were actively discouraged.

Every clan is evil innately. However you have the potential to resists your nature. That is the conflict.

No it is a good story. I'm not arguing with that. It's just that you shouldn't be railroaded into every character dealing with the same things.

Just because she's a Toreador (pretty vampire) and you're a Nosferstu (ugly vampires) doesn't innately mean you need to trashtalk each other in play.

Just because you're a Ventrue (rich vampires) doesn't mean you need to be Jeff Bezos.

Every character is an individual and the player chooses whether to embrace the narrative of their clan or create something new.

It's also really fun to make absolute evil monsters.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and say that the people making these systems don’t actually condone a lot of the heinous stuff they include in their game.

You mentioned the game is about the conflict of resisting or embracing your evil nature. For choices to matter in that kind of game, you need options that are equally moral and immoral.

Seems to me that they included a lot of the more immoral content to serve as a foil for the moral ones.

There are very nice things in this game! You have a stat called Humanity.

High Humanity lets you eat food, do the dirty, have body heat, etc. Higher Humanity is easier to lose but more rewarding.

Low Humanity has mostly downsides. Makes people not like you, makes you frenzy more, makes it harder to wake up during the day or stay up late. However it is harder to lose Humanity at low Humanity. There are cults like the One True Way that have spiritual powers to basiclly mitigate Humanity loss at lower Humanity.

Because falling to zero Humanity turns your character into a feral monster and you get to trash yoir character sheet and make a new one.

Falling to zero humanity is game over. So there is a consequence for being evil.

I’m just not sure why there’d be a controversy in including a clan inspired be a certain WW2 ideology if they’re supposed to be portrayed as evil villainous bad guys. Your player character might be different but the clan as a whole seems to fit in with the vibe of the system.

I mean, the Enclave pretty much wears SS uniforms

Because it was an extremely bad way to represent the clan and people misunderstood that the game where you play white-skinned rich people literally sucking the blood out of the middle class was encouraging people to be uhh... You know. And the comparison didn't help.

It was just an ick from all sides. Very insensitive, very indelicate, gave the wrong vibe, misrepresented the clan, etc.

Yes... Unless you just haven't found the correct path to the transit station, there are invisible walls all around the area, even after installing the dlc.
But an incompatible mod will make the original "you can't go that way" invisible wall be there.
Alot of times it's scrapping mods.

Any ideas how to exit Mad Mulligans Nuka World after killing the Queen Blood Worm I get an infinite Loading or Blank Screen when exiting the ride. Playing with mods by the way read online the STS mod affects this turned it off still no luck.

Now that they aren't installed, loading your save things are gone that the mods effected.

Go to the home menu, on the game scroll down to the store, then select it to see your owned addons.

You can join all factions, but at certain points in the story quests you need to make choices that may turn a faction hostile.

It's a bug with survival.
There's probably a mod out there to fix it...haven't bothered looking, I only work on my power armor at my settlement / Prydwen, then I just sleep or use doctor.

Has anyone noticed the plot hole in fallout 4 main story where they did not need to find and kill a courser, or get a chip or even build the molecular Relay. Virgil recommends finding a courser by starting above the C.I.T ruins. And says “right above the Institute”.

So theoretically the player could go to whatever faction and they could build some sort of bomb or smth and dig into the institute. They all wasted their time

my interpretation is that its not so much that the brotherhood couldnt dig into the institute its that liberty prime gives them the advantage to not get rolled over by waves of mark 2 synths and coursers teleporting in all around them

i think its partially due to to game mechanics , but once the BOS or the other factions become openly hostile/deemed a threat to the Institute they have a limited time to take the fight to them, before they are just overwhlemed by nearly endless attacks from the institute

I'm having a wierd issue. I have a garage door hooked up to a power switch, and also a separate entirely power line running behind the wall to keep the lights on. However, flipping the switch turns off the lights even though they're still getting power from the other power line. How do I get my lights to stay on while having a door toggle?

Go into workshop mode while the lights and door switch are on, grab the light as if your going to move it, let go of it... It will reset itself to get power all the time.

You can often add more mods mid game, but it depends on the mod itself. I've added additional mods for better building etc in the past just fine.

And yes, I'd you switch back to your main, you will have to disable the mods if you want to keep it unmodded

They just like someone and choose to follow them, no matter what they do

honestly holding off on high int with idiot savant is worth it

if i remember correctly you need 14 int with idiot savant to make up for it

you need to eventually get your int up for perks, but keeping it as low as possible with idiot savant active helps

A custom built robot is a big help for survival, you can make one that carries over 500 pounds... So is having a heavily armed body guard.
You don't have to fight everything, run from the enemy... Survive.

I originally purchased fallout 4 the way you did on pc through Xbox app. Big mistake and regretted it. So, when you get a game through the app, you don't need steam to launch it. Just run it from your games folder. The bad part is that the pc xbox version is pretty much not compatible with f4se and mods. Some will tell you that it is, but pshhh.. an impossible headache. I gave up and just bought through GOG for $10. My second mistake was then trying to use it with vortex. I learned my lesson again and finally introduced myself to mo2 and that's when I finally got stuff running properly, fully modded and stable. GOG+Mo2. I'm telling you. It's a great way to go if you can't get steam to cooperate. Steam has headaches too of needing to do downgrade crap as well. Gog, you can pick pre next gen version which everyone knows is the most compatible with mods. Save yourself strife. Gog+mo2.

Oh, the only other drawback in my opinion is that you can also not access bethesda mods or apply them. But thankfully, all the mods I use are also on nexus. There were like 3 mods I used on Xbox that weren't on nexus and I had to private message author and they were nice enough to give me personal use of their mod as they had their reasons to not share on nexus.

The Enclave since their inception have really only cared about themselves, it's not something that's too likely to change even if we hope it would, any sort of reformed enclave would probably still be pretty evil

Even the remnants in NV, who are mostly friendly don't even really see anything wrong with what they did from what I can tell

I've basically taken over the park before even meeting up with the Bosses, no one owns any of the Parks. I haven't even finished "Ambitious Plans"

Not gonna lie I hate Nisha's Faction they are always my sacrificial pawn. I wish they added the Grand Chester House as a location it suits their bloodlust to have a Haunted Masion. Plus I want to avoid going to the Commonwealth.

I'm having framerate issues with fallout 4 since the windows 24h2 update

the framerate gets choppy whenever the camera goes left/right. Not sure what's causing it. Supposedly 24h2 is a bad update and messed a lot of things up

Hey so I finished the valentine quest and went to go talk to piper. When we finish the interview she says something like I cant wait for you to read it and the dialogue ends and nothing happens. When I go to talk to her she just keeps repeating, "Are you ready for that interview Blue?"

That's the neat part.
You can't

Other than fixed spawns, 51,45 and 60 stop spawning at higher levels.

T60 is common on BoS soldiers and the Atom Cats vendor but that's it

I always found the inclusion of the T-60 odd, as it rather devalues the use/existence of the T-45 and T-51.

Outside of Concord and the use of the T-45 there, you typically don't have enough fusion cores to properly use power armour until later, so the T-45 and T-51 aren't very useful/practical in the game, being overshadowed completely by the T-60 and certainly the X-01.

This is compounded even more with the inclusion of Hellfire armour and the X-02.

It's a shame the classic armour shafted like that.

Well if you are sided with the minutemen obviously that does cause problems, and if you want to finish the game with them you should do that first, and Preston will also refuse to be your companion afterwards even if you do rejoin the minutemen

Siding with the Raiders gives you special perks, and unlocks new settlement objects to be used at raider outposts you capture

i don’t really care about the minutemen, i think i’ve done all of the main quests because now i’m just defending settlements. i just don’t want to lose castle and sanctuary and i read if you side with them then you lose them

But you also have to enslave the settlements around your outpost

You can't capture the castle, it always belongs to the minutemen no matter what as far as I know, but sanctuary should be able to be captured, if Preston's group isn't there

So either don't rescue Preston from the museum, just don't ever go inside or talk to him or send them all to a different settlement you would prefer to enslave

Well, you can also keep the settlement, you aren't forced to enslave or capture the settlements

The perks of being the overboss is that every raider Outpost you control will pay you a tribute of caps and loot, they also have machines that will create chems for you, there isn't much to do with them beyond that though, once you capture whatever settlements you want to capture you've finished with them and all that is left to do is collect your paycheck or decorate it further

But I don't think you'll lose the castle since I don't think the Raiders will actually ever attack it. And even if minutemen are there, they aren't hostile to you

The minutemen still consider you their General even if you are a raider

It sounds like you hit the quirk in question. Willing to bet it's in any area touched by Far Harbor's master file.

I'm struggling with the Invisible Pip-Boy bug and it's softlocked me from continuing with the story and I'm BEGGING you all if you have any known fixes.
I'm not able to sit in surgery chairs so I can't try that method, I was quicksaving too much so my 2nd nearest save is from 3 days of gameplay ago, plus the drop all clothing, enter and exit doesn't work for whatever reason.
I think it's something to do with the creation club power armours and I really don't want to lose my progress.

None of the factions are "the worst", just depends on your roleplay.
When I want to play a character that ignores the main story for instance, I can join the Railroad since it doesn't force main story quests, that character can work for them and get xp and exploration through repeatable radiant questing.

A roving merchant can link your settlements stuff.. never tried betrayal just before Prime is finished assembly, but i always went with railroad. it was no fun without RR even after killing them for the Institute. One thing i haven't done was Nuka-world even though i have all the DLC's. I don't play with mods sense they really mess up the game play. i did try them once with Skyrim a long time ago. Just enjoy the games...

Most times I experienced a few bugs each playthrough on ps5... Ps4 was constant issues with bugs and crashing.

This may be a silly question, but have you played any other Fallout before? If not, Fallout 4 is a great way to get into the series.

More than anything because of the style of play, which is not going to be the same as the other games

I mean not like I don’t watch their gameplay clips, they’re just too bad with their bugs, no settlement building and graphics, the only thing that fo3 offers over fo4 is nostalgia and new vegas offers roleplaying

I accept the bugs part, but the settlement building isn't that great (at least it got boring to me after a long time) and it wouldn't have worked as well.
But as for the graphics, are we really going to talk about the graphics of games that came out in 2008 and 2010? And that were very good for their respective years? One of them even won a GOTY.

For me, Fallout 3 is not just nostalgia.
As for the actual story, Fallout 4 contains some references to the events of Fallout 3 (and New Vegas to a much lesser extent). Some characters return, so you'll meet some who survived, and if you dig a little deeper into dialogue and endings, you'll discover the fates of some who didn't. (These aren't major spoilers for the overall plot of Fallout 3.)

This is a well known bug, Danse check your fire.
You either have to start a new save and hope it doesn't happen again.
Or use a mod/console command to force the quest stage... But I found this to cause problems with subsequent bos quests.

I've encountered yet another softlock bug

I tried talking to Dogmeat to get him as a companion in Sanctuary and the final bark from his doesn't trigger and sends me into a state of limbo, as soon as he exits the doghouse I cannot interact with my pipboy, use weapons, toggle my flashlight and some of my hud disappears

I'm also permanently looking at Dogmeat

I can select guns with the quick buttons but they don't equip

I can use my stimpaks tho

I'm gonna try find some raiders and see if getting Dogmeat down will fix it

This is normal, while a companion he changes outfits depending on where you are, idk if you ever noticed, he follows you around the game before you meet him, he is at various locations in disguise watching you.

Sometimes it bugs out and he has no clothes on while following you.

Go into workshop mode, assign a settler.
You'll see the appropriate button at the bottom when you put the cursor on a settler.

Settlements share resources, food and water this way.

I make sanctuary a water farm and link all settlements to it, no need to build purifiers at other settlements.
