UF4OP is the unoffical falout 4 patch, Fallout Script Extender (f4SE), CBBE is a body texture mod, the other two i already you about, looks menu gives you more options when it comes to character creation, the last one fixes the precombines for a FPS increase

yeah i'm going for this achievement just so i can go through all the settlements, put a few turrets here and there and be done for good with all the "X is under attack" notification, which was something i found frustrating having to halt DLC progress to kill 3 raiders

I remember wen I start playing I left my PA with the fusion core and raiders attack the settlement one of the settler took the power armor and I spend like 30 minutes looking were put the armor. But I learn my lesson, No fusion core left on the Armor.

You can put your turrets on the spawn points of each settlement and no more worries

Unfortunately, that's why I came back. The show was so reminiscent that I HAD to play again. I had never finished and it's been so long that I played that, for whatever reason, I just deleted my first game and started again. I'm still working towards my first completion. On the plus side, I have mapped out my Perks for a second play on Survival (currently playing Hard. May upgrade to Very Hard, since I'm level 73, should've finished already,, and most fights that are trivial). I'm excited to see these new Perks play out.

I keep going in thinking I'm going to build an AT-AT or something. But all my settlement s look meh because I either run out of resources, hit the ceiling, or I don't have enough options due to no DLC

I have no issues doing 1-shots with .308. Plus, I scavenge way more .308 than .44. If you're buying ammo, then that changes things. I never looked at other ammo because I can only scrounge 10mm, .45, .308, .38 and 5.56 in reasonable amounts. I prefer my .45 and 5.56 for rotation on close range. I save my caps for no apparent reason. I've never bought anything, I just sell my stash whenever the trader has available caps.

Every vault residence having a living room, Kitchen, Bathroom, bedroom, and a fake backyard ( custom vault 88 sets I made with pre-war ground for the floor)
A large Cafeteria, A depot that sold/traded everything under the sun, A Robot & Terminal Repair shop, A Theater (using theaters of the wasteland projector & screen), a Factory to produce goods, A garden to supply their food needs, and even a New Publick Occurrences Place for Piper to write her Newspapers ( custom mod I did with 3 new papers) and bathrooms accessible from the Atrium & back access for the residential hallways incase you got to go before getting to your home. A Large Medical Center with a Nursery and private rooms for expecting mothers to give birth in.

Story: (After main Game Vault 88 was done last)
"Sometime after the construction of Vault 88 when Nate (or Michael it's what I called him) was satisfied with what he had build which was bigger than any other vault he had seen with about 35 Settlers and 3 robots and growing. With Piper by his side & Synth Shaun as well as Nat, Piper's sister ( Shaun moved with console then made settler as well as Nat) After making the commonwealth a safer place and constructing vault 88 He begain to wonder about the cryo technology in vault 111. Nate with a few of his fellow dwellers headed to Vault 111 and over a period of a month they took as much cryo equipment as they could. In the end he ended up
with 4 cryopods. He tinkered with them and installed a release latch from inside so that it could be opened from inside incase of emergencies and over the next 6 months he tinkered with them. Now at this point I was thinking he was testing the emergency latch and he got froze my mistake or some vault disaster caused nate, Piper, Nat & Shaun to freeze themselves because there was no way out or something like a cave in at the entrance LOL

I'm having this weird issue in Fo4, can someone else confirm for me? Whenever I try strafing on PC, if I strafe left and still hold down that key, then press the strafe right key, it overrides that strafe direction. If I'm strafing right though and press the left key, it does not cancel it. Anyone else have this issue? It's pretty annoying since I tend to hold down keys before letting them go.

Ironically i quit very early on original release date because they were skipping game breaking bugs and full priority on played optional exploits like duping items with NPC pick up etc

The bluescreen should have had a code. That code you search on the web to get an explaination of what and why it crashed down on you. Ive had BSOD for various of reasons over the years. Most common due to ram issues though

Also it may be worth doing a sector scan on your drive and ram, could be the BSOD came because the game tryt to acces a file on a broken sector of your drive. That then would mean a simple sector repair and defrag and steam file verification should help👍

Not sure how well known this is, but with the recent explosion of people playing Fallout 4 following the TV show...

Early on in the Minutemen quest line, Preston will send you to Tenpines Bluff, which will involve you being sent to the Corvega (car) factory to clear out Raiders. (It IS possible to move this location... but only by clearing Corvega first, thus defeating the purpose of this tip.) Corvega is very hard at low levels due to the quantity of enemies and the complexity of the dungeon. If you put it off and come back with better gear, it's a cake walk, but you can still get sniped and one-shotted, so some bad luck can still put you down.

What a lot of people don't know is that if you go to Tenpines and simply kill the two settlers there (do not bring any companion with you, they all hate this), you can report to Preston that those people did not want to join the Minutemen. Preston accepts this and the quest line continues like normal. There is no down side to simply killing the settlers in this situation, and you gain the settlement anyway. Preston doesn't even question how you got the settlement. It simply never comes up again.

That being said, if you do want to do Corvega, but you want to do it with the absolute minimal effort, you only need to kill one raider. The named one. I think his name's Jake, but I could be wrong. (I think that's actually an NPC involved with Finch Farm/Saugus Ironworks.) Yeah, I'm blanking on the real name. Anyway, it's a guy's name. If you can sneak in, and snipe that guy (or run past everybody and shoot a mini nuke up where he's at), and leave, you will have satisfied the objective and Tenpines Bluff will join you. In fact, a lot of "kill this group" quests are pinned on one guy, only it's the guy at the very end and he's hard to get to without fighting the rest. But killing all of them is seldom required.

You can do this by partaking in actions that the hunter considers favorable, including picking locks and drinking alcohol. Consuming an alcoholic drink every once in a while when you travel with Old Longfellow is the easiest way to increase your relationship.

ok, few reloads later, i was starting the first railroad delivery, so i had high rise and the synth to help me, 4v4 had to end with the slow-mo from the armor kicking in so i could kill this enclave guy, then the other 2 were not that hard to deal with then, i'm level 32, and like... not sure how i could've done this alone with piper tbh

Speak of the devil
Then the echos of the past will have a trigger where it will spawn these enclave members in so they can "kill" you for the item you collected from one of those quests

That's the one I did, and strangely, i had to redo the last part where ||you can enable the enclave radio||, and the second i did that, like 6 enclave guys started shooting at me, even though, just before that, i was alone in there. that was so weird

Oh that's supposed to happen due to the whole new update giving the enclave the objective to collect the Tesla Cannon, Heavy Incineratior, X-02 black devil power armor, and X-03 hellfire power armor includes them appearing to try and kill you after collecting one of the items

The quests can be made rather easy and immersion breaking depending on the order you complete them in

i'm pretty... confident playing on hard, but very hard is in a league of it's own, i don't even wanna think about how bonkers survival can be difficulty wise

Survival leaves you forgetting about the simple increase in difficulty given from more difficult enemies and rather has you focused on the features such as lower stats and such due to lack of eating, drinking, sleeping, ect.

i knew starting level 1 on very hard i had to get a decent weapon first, so i did the intro, got into concord, then checked in with the BoS, and then did a few radiant quests, went real quick into Diamond City, rushed my way into vault 81 (the one due west of DC), and then did the money collecting to buy overseer's rifle, which has been carrying me ever since

Oh my gosh, I just found something out, Institute and Cyberlife create human like robots and treat them like tools, Railroad and Jericho are secretive and work on saving deviant/runaway robots, Minutemen and Detroit police save the people and BoS and US army destroy every single robot existing

So I'd recommend starting with pirotizing a advanced hacker skill to start the first quest called crucible in order to obtain the heavy incinerator and a power armor frame

Then next you'll want to use the new found power armor and heavy incinerator to kill Pyro in pyromaniac to obtain the X-03 hellfire power and use that with the frame you got from the last quest leaving you with a full set of X-03 power armor and a legendary heavy incinerator which is already overpowered but you can take it further

After doing this then you'll want to begin the speak of the devil quest and go through it (by the way a squad of enclave soldiers will ambush you next time you fast travel with one in power armor that's X-03 mark VI opposed to basic) once you get to the end of the quest you'll want to sadly disable the enclave raido for the armor mod in the safe called devils inferno which you'll the side track to apply to your X-02

After this you will BEGIN the echos of the past by only taking care of the outpost near sagus ironworks and getting the next point (there's some plasma weapons and more armor and ammo here by the way as well as another full set of mark VI X-03 and heavy incinerator)

You will then stop there in the echos of the past because it will take you to the glowing sea where you'll be going anyways to begin the best of three quest where you'll finish it for the tesla cannon

By this point you have the option to go finish the quest of echos of the past despite you not needing to because you'll only be collecting more versions of loot you already have (I however would recommend doing this for the locations of the other outposts to collect the new magazines for things such as enclave, turrets crates, ect.)

And once you've finished this path you'll find that you have multiple sets of X-02 black devil sets ,a TON of X-03 hellfire sets, multiple heavy incinerators as well as 1 legendary one that is locked to ghoul slayers, 2 tesla cannons, a colonel uniform with 50 ballistic resistance, most likely tons of exp, and tons of high tier loot such as fusion cores, plasma weapons and ammo ect.

That's the path that will break all game progression for you in any gamemode except survival cause you still have to work on keeping yourself hydrated fed and slept

By the way if you don't mind abusing glitches I'd recommend picking up the picket fences magazine in sagaus ironworks in order to craft statues abusing the duplication glitch for easy exp without the automatron dlc

One thing I used to do. Go to the settlement's workbench, and build, in alternation, the stairs with the ledge, and a 1x1 floor. Do this like 3 times, but for the very top one, make it a 2x2. Put your chest there, and a fast travel mat. Now scrap (or store) the stairs. You're leaving the 1x1 platforms so you can safely jump down without taking fall damage. No NPC will be able to get up there, nor will they try

i also didnt join the brotherhood, their missions are 💩 and boring, minutemen missions involve more killing raiders and sometimes synths, 100% better than just only killing synths and getting tech

I think it depends on how you would want to RP!

If you are hell bent on revenge straight out of the vault, I don't see why you would want to help a random guy yelling at you from a balcony to grab a laser musket and lend a hand.

If you wanted to slowly become a raider over time, I think doing the main story normally until you kill Kellogg makes sense. You would want to find the Institute, and talking to Preston (after getting his companion perk) could convince you to ditch the Minutemen when he tells you that you need to help more settlements before they'll help you find your son, causing you to go full raider from that point out.

I actually think the best way (unfortunately), if you want to optimize a raider run is to make enough regular settlements with food/water production before going to nukaworld. Get Prestons perk ASAP while doing this, and then raid the commonwealth.

With how Raider settlements work, they're kind of crappy to take over a map with all empty settlements

I absolutely love Starfield ❤️❤️❤️ It was the first Bethesda game I ever played. So I decided to play through the other Bethesda IPs. Completed Skyrim about 2 months ago which was fine. Not as good as Starfield but It's okay. But Falllout I absolutely despise. I don't like post apocalyptic settings, the aiming is awful, they improved that a great deal in Starfield. I'm a high level Halo player and can tell you with confidence that Fallout's sucks🤨😮‍💨 The annoying distorted story I already mentioned. It's absolutely not my coup of tea.

Oh ,rah, not to forget that the weapons are awful and that gimmick they implemented that slows down time and you can pick an enemy part to shoot at by pressing LB sucks and misses most of the time. I have 8 people in Sanctuary Hills, a lot of water and food, a ton of defences, beds for 90 people under a roof. I recently added a bar, a clinic, a barber and a clinic because those raise happiness and assigned someone to those.
The meter is a 85 % like forever and goes up so slow in general. I was doing missions in the meantime. Is there a quicker way to get it up? Sleep a certain amount of days ??

on one hand, it's a pretty fun game, unironically really good and holds a candle to new Vegas, despite being really different

on the other hand, I couldn't complete the diamond city radio quest line, entire far harbor questions, covenant quest line, vault 88 quest line, Cabot house quest line. literally all of them were glitched in some way

Travis wouldn't go to dugout in past 6pm and I couldn't engage in dialogue with him,
DiMAs memories were bugged, the bugs would go to the target but not back, despite the same path
covenant gates were open, Dan wouldn't spawn and everyone assumed I passed the test
the lab rat wouldn't go on the bike in vault 88, despite it being wired exactly how the ghoul asked, and I even referenced bugfix and walkthrough guides
jack Cabot would randomly spawn in my settlement, other settlements, or inside the floor, but never in Cabot house, and the 'dialogue' button would just make us both stand in silence

[BESTHEDA PLEASE HELP] - Fallout 4
2 things from Vault 81 that have been reoccurring no matter how many restarts/reloads I do. I have to NPC's Dr. Penkse and Tina De Luca who have incorrect faces. The other issue is I am having is at the end of the Quest call "Dependacy" I am asked to talk to Tina De Luca and I have the dialogue option to have her work in my settlement. My charisma is high enough so I succeed but then there is a long pause and Tina says "Oh right. Like that made any sense." afterwards and then I can no longer finish the mission with her. I also notice this similar pause glitch when you gain Curie as a follower and she trys to initiate the Quest "Emergent Behavior". Just another long pause that I have to back out of with "O" to escape and then just nothing happens. I'm playing on PS5 with all the DLC and the latest update and nothing is getting fixed. It is very frustrating.

So, after all my issues with dlc on my current save. Decided to try a new save earlier to see if that would work. Only tried Nakano residence, and that seems to be working. Question is, is there a way to edit the save to boost me to the point im at in my broken save? Or do i have to go through everything again? PC player if that helps. Load a save before your broken save and try to see if that works.

Also some info about the Fallout 4 player theory, there were no Gen 3 synths in 2077, they were made after the war of 2077, and also Synths cannot have that vivid of memories, and also Synths are unable to do the deed and have a baby, so that debunks a theory.

Procesing randomly slows down but it does not close down game. GPU should be able to run it, cpu should be able to run it ram should be able to run it. You have it on the right drive... Yet somewhere you still have a slowing down issue. Maybe the hardware doesnt play nice with each other as a full system? Aka bottleneck

Somebody put a lot of thought into each of the Nuka-World parks. Sadly, after you clear them and claim them for a gang, there's no reason to revisit them. Nothing you can do with them. There's a ton of great design in Nuka-World, but it feels so empty, hollow, and shallow.

It's clearly an answer to a very vocal minority of players who wanted evil options, but the evil options are cliche and, again, shallow.

The addition of Sierra from Fallout 3 (the Nuka-Cola superfan) was nice and gave the DLC a bit of charm, but I would have liked a good option, beyond just killing the raiders, to bringing people back to the park and repopulating the town. Maybe if the Sim Settlements mod branches out into DLC territory, we'll see it. But who knows.

You could also pay $1 to start a GamePass Ultimate sub and get all the Fallout 4 stuff included. You'd be able to finish Nuka-World in the first month, plus you'd have access to Starfield and their other games. I don't know what the Season Pass goes for on its own

I was going a little achievement hunting in Fallout 4 last night. I hit a level up from discovering a location and hit level 25. So I was expecting to get the level 25 achievement. I did, but the first achievement i got was for discovering 100 locations and then I got the level 25 one. I can't think of a more epic way to reach level 25 lol.

Yeah, but most of what's on the featured page doesn't seem to be discounted. The Rainbow paint bundles are just showing "Limited Time Only." Same for the Patriotic skins. They might be discounted, but I can't tell since I already own them. Several items are still discounted in the rest of the CC menu. Most of it is the same stuff that's had ongoing discounts.

It would be nice if some of the background discounts would change. It's stuff that I, and probably lots of other people, have had for years anyway. i got a problem, my saves are gone from the game but not my files, also i dont have steam and i got fo4 from microsoft store, pls help idk how to use computers and im just half heartedly searching up solutions

this seems like it should be an easy fix for someone with tech skills tho

already tried I tried windows mode and fullscreen tried 30 different FOV combinations I tried the default fov I have no mods or exterinal files I've verified integerity of game files 3 times I also deleted the fallout ini file in the game files that controls to settings and re opened it so it makes a new one so FOV isn't the problem please someone help

For the past several updates, there's been stuff for sale besides the featured page. But, the extras are the same stuff, month after month, as if they're on permanent discount. So, you haven't missed anything. It's gotten old. I wish they'd change those sales up when the sale updates.

this may sound odd but has anyone else have a mr gutsy spawn next to them when they load a save

because like, sometimes a mr gutsy just spawns even though i didn't save in it's vicinity

Did you hack a Mr. Gutsy to take orders from you at any point? Sometimes robots keep turning up when you do that.

it just pops out of nowhere sometimes (after a save is loaded)
and kills me brutally

the recent instance of this thing happening (to me) was during the "find kellogg" mission, yknow, with the clues n stuff

Maybe using power armour to use the non pipboy menu hud instead could work?

The shooting trainer thing is probably the problem, when settlers use it they equip a specific package of items which lines up with what you're describing. It's a shame, I just stopped placing them in my settlements.

wow... finally upgraded to the last gen patch for this playthrough on pc, and i had to use console commands to counter 2 broken quests so far (visit your quarters in the Institute and the Drinking Buddy that was stuck on the front of Hotel Rexford) haha

Question regarding the cages; do you have to remove them and re-add the cages every time after they get used?

You need to set the traps in the cages again, which usually involves adding a piece of meat or something else to lure a creature or person

I found a work around. If you search for the name of the mod author with search tool, instead of the name of the mod, you will be able to find your mod. Worked for all of my mods.

I wonder if there is a console command to re-enable the CIT Enable/disable marker.. I could use Creation kit and throw up a terminal somewhere to re-enable CIT pre-destruction.
