Spend some time in the woods and practice killing bugs. Level up and finding stuff may help or you could take the roads and fight low level baddies

Go back into Vault 111 and get your 10mm that you missed if ya don’t got a good gun. A 10mm pistol can hold you over for the whole game if you put points into the Gunslinger Perk, Scrounger Perk, and Perception.

It is everywhere. Make sure you get the Scrounger perk. It’s under luck. Increases the chance of finding the ammo of your equipped weapon.

Are you following the main quest? If not I would suggest that till you get decently stocked up on ammo and guns because some areas are harder on purpose but not impossible, make sure to use guns you do have ammo for too, don't be hesitant on looting most guns you see and melee can sometimes help if it's within your build and have a good melee weapon. There should be a bunch of ammo scattered around the wasteland if you just take your time to loot buildings and dead people, keep your eyes peeled

Essentially yes, they make changes to the game, that often relies upon code changes, when that happens, it only takes one line for a mod to disagree and be broken. It’s not intentional, it’s a simple matter of fact with coding. Generally the mod makers are aware of an update due, and get ready to change their own coding.

the story in fo:nv is better and more memorable, but you're right it's not life changing say like the story told in the matrix. there's other things that new vegas did better than every fallout game. replayability is the primary one. because in new vegas you can roleplay as any character you create. where every other fallout game forces you into a specific character, granted fallout 1/2 don't do this much, but they do. fallout 3/4 pretty much force you to be a certain character and that character's motives are already given to you, you can't define them. so you can't be an evil character in fallout 3/4 as easily. to me in fallout 3 if you nuked the town, then you'd be playing a character that also would kill your father or attempt to ignore them.

think about the elder scrolls and how you can be anybody in those games, but your character is already defined for you in fallout 3/4. for that reason, fallout 3/4 are not role-playing games but more action games. it's fine, I enjoy playing them. there's also another issue, that's the events of new vegas weren't mentioned in fallout 4, where new vegas mentioned things that occurred in fallout 3.

It doesn't, typically. It breaks the script extender because that relies on the game exe, which changes version every update. Other mods rely on the script extender and so they need to be updated when that is updated, sometimes.

i believe if you exclude fallout:new vegas, fallout 1, and fallout 2.
then fo76 does the best job at allowing the player to define their character's backstory.
it's smart to not telling the player the events that happened in the characters past as that increases replayability

I simply just cannot get over the bad graphics. Like I get it, graphics doesn’t make a game. 100%. But for me I have very sensitive eyes. And it’s easy to give me a headache. So I’m picky. I can’t even play Oblivion. So the first Fallout I’ve been able to fully play is Fallout 4. And it’s my favorite Fallout. I was able to fully play through New Vegas last year and tbh? I just won’t go back to it. To me it just isn’t what I like. The gameplay isn’t there. To others it may be the best thing that has ever happened. But…not for me. The only thing I wish Bethesda did better is NPCs. I want them to feel more alive. And I want more voice actors. And…good…voice actors. Not voice actors that sound very tired and very bored like they’re forced to do the job. And I think it’s just an issue with The Creation Engine itself…because even in Starfield…there’s an issue with textures for me. Everything has this weird smooth-ish texture? Like a gloss or something. There’s gotta be a grittiness to stuff. And I hope they put more detail into stuff. And work heavily on textures. I’m kinda tired of looking at the ground and seeing the same mud looking texture, or looking at a road and seeing the same glossy, smooth looking gray texture, or looking at a wall and seeing the same smooth tumbled stone..

Fallout was originally created by Tim Cain and just a few other people. Nobody could agree on wether ghouls would be made from radiation or FEV. Everything changes when coming up with a game and there isn’t really much of a should or shouldn’t when Tim left after Fallout 1. It’s all fanfic which I honestly like, keeps creation more fluid

I don’t think the lore really pertains to anything outside of the US. The only other country we get insights into is China and that’s really just Gobi War, War in Alaska, and Mama Dolce’s. You can also have a breath of fresh air while still being in the US. The US is so big that you can really put the next Fallout anywhere and it would feel unique. Not true, Fallout 76 has a very engaging primary original campaign, and multiple main extensions, it then has a large amount of lore based side quests, as do FO3, NV and 4. On top of all that, it has a fantastic level of incidental lore, ie notes, terminal entries etc…..and since the wastlanders update, a bunch of NPC stories. I’ve played all the fallout games since their beginnings, my favourite, is FO3, it just leaves me with a sense of genuine post apocalyptic wasteland desolation. After that, the original isometrics, then 4, then 76, but 76 is still above and beyond most other games of its genre, and given it was considered experimental, as advertised from its inception, I think its earned its place in FO history, by providing not just a great game, but bringing a whole new fold of people in to the FO games. The recent TV show has done that again, but at various times through 76’s timeline, its also brought more people into the lore.

this is disappointing for one reason. if you had fun playing that game that you now feel looks old or has "bad graphics", then you'll have some bias towards that game's experience as you learn more about story and games and gameplay and this story and all of that stuff. you won't be able to go back in time to see if your beliefs of older games that you thought were good, but now you won't play them because of your bias towards them needing the bestest of graphics.

i don't believe you played new vegas based on what you said. but i guarantee if you've been gaming for a while, there's some game out there that applies here.

No, because ghouls can barely feel the high from jet. They have to make super jet to get high. It’s just an upper they take because of depression. The two drugs in the show are separate and haven’t been disclosed yet. Rad X bottles are shaped similarly, but are pills. The glowing iv’s above the ghouls grave is the biggest clue, as it’s likely radaway that’s been modified just as ghouls modify jet to make super jet

The thing about the Brotherhood of steel is that we have seen how different all chapters are. The Mojave chapter is aggresive towards almost everyone. The one in the capital wasteland lost a lot of resources fighting supermutants and protection the population (Instead of collecting all the technology they could)

i remember star wars rogue one. dec 2016 i believe. that movie was somewhat marketed as the next episode in the story. i was excited to see the continuation. it was odd in that just one year prior dec 2015 there was a numbered star wars movie and they typically take 3+ years to make. but I didn't consider that until looking backwards at what happened.
the entire story of rogue one if you didn't watch it, then that wouldn't impact the story of star wars at all. that's how i judge it. i don't know if how they did it in the fallout wiki is correct, there's far more time needed to process fallout stuff than star wars.

what's interesting to me was reception. at the end of the 2015 star wars, people stood up and applauded. in a movie. i've never had that happen. so with rogue one i went to the same theater and at the end of it they applauded just the same. i asked people at work. did you enjoy rogue one and they all said yes. i then asked them if you never saw rogue one, would that change the story for you? every person I asked never considered that question. i do believe there's some form of bias when answering the question. but if it's clear, like in the case of rogue one, then that makes it easy to answer.

PSA: Those on Xbox who use the Heather Casdin mod (or other mods that have this issue like Insignificant Object Remover, etc.) , the author is currently out of town but is aware of the operation error that causes you to return to the main menu. It has something to do with the new update and how the gallery pictures are loaded (I’m serious) which causes the error. I assume since they know now, it will be fixed ASAP.

Unless they changed it, you can get challengers pretty fast by just traveling back and forth to Nuka World.
Every now and then just travel to and from a few times and you should get a challenger.

DownTown Boston was fine years ago. Until they did some sort of CC update in 2017-2018, then it tanked hard.
And it has been largely unplayable since for me due to bad crashing. I couldn't do a lot of quests or go to a lot of areas because of it.
Since the update i can actually go to the DownTown area and play without issue.

I think I have found the perfect mix of enhancements along with some INI edits, but I couldnt tell if reflex was causing the longer load screens or if it was something else. Well TBF the Flex problem is on Nvidia as they are the ones that removed support and it's not just FO4 depending on how much a game relies on Flex it'll CTD constantly.

I have 200+ hours in FO4 but haven't played in years. I have all of the DLC. Gonna play on GeForce NOW so I won't get to use my 255+ / 250GB mod and texture list. I don't think it was ever mentioned but MS was trying to rebuild it's studios and with the hands off approach they have adopted for the studios they have/acquired (well unless said studio keeps messing up then MS will step in) it's tempting for studios to want that MS money backing.

Go max charisma, then invest into the cap collector perk. Then collect every Junktown Vendor magazine. Save up every chem you find (do diamond city blues quest). Find the magazine in sunshine tidings co op for 2x meat, hunt some animals for 2x meat, then cook said meat. From the chems in the diamond city blues quest alone you'll make about ~20k caps with all the perks

Ps+ extra already works with the upgrade. And that doesnt make sense because ps+ extra and the other ps+ higher tier has it. Just the essential tier (lowest) doesn’t have it. So the excuse that “having it from a subscription” clearly is not the case.

Also in the ps store when you view the game it literally says “owning this game entitles you to the ps4 and ps5 version”.

It works fine at close range, but as soon as you try to hit a sniper shot it does the zoom thing as if you're about the kill the enemy and then just misses 😐

Having an extremely high hit chance through walls is normal for the bug, the shots actually connecting and not just hitting the wall is not normal unless you have the Penetrator Perk

Hi guys, someone know if fallout 4 upgrade is available or will be available to ps plus essential members too with the ps plus collection version of the game ? Because I bought the season pass before the update in preparation for that for like 14 dollars. Console commands are middle ground for me... I use console commands sometimes to fix bugs in survival mode for example and to reenable survival mode. Kessler died in one of my playthroughs preventing me from Unlocking Bunker Hill so I console commanded her back to life... I don't use unlimited cap glitches and all that nonsense it ruins the rewarding gameplay for me

Do you know about the drop glitch where if you drop items then store them in the workshop it increases your settlement build limit I do that all the time personally
