Having a problem with starting the Automatron quest, as even though all the robots have been killed, she is still saying they are not. The only resolution I have seen is by using console commands on a pc, but I am on xbox S

so I have a question

I am doing a survival run, and I am refusing to help the minutemen until I finish the game. So far it's been lots of fun but the lack of radiant quests has made it difficult to progress early. I joined the brotherhood and did the the clear area quest and when I handed it my next clear area quest was super far northwest

I ignored it and figured I just got unlucky and did the quartermaster quest, when I asked for another quartermaster quest it was in the exact same spot, which is when I remembered that the location both quests are at is actually where the boat to far harbour is

so my question is why?

Why are they both in far harbour, how am I meant to complete them at level 14???

I've been completing quests as I get them, excluding the main questline and now over half of my quests are impossible brotherhood quests

Yes It's annoying to get sent there so early in survival. There is a mod that stops radiant quests sending you there but I simply disabled the DLC's until I was prepared for them.

So, I started the USS Constitution quest. After talking to Captain Ironsides, a group of scavengers attack the ship. They never spawned in. So I'm now stuck with combat music playing everywhere all the time. Does anyone know of a fix for this? It doesn't affect things like chatting, sleeping, of waiting. Just plays all the dang time. Going back to a previous save on account I've never had this happen and I thought it would go away after a while or if the cell would reset the scavengers would spawn in.

It's commonly reported that the Tunnel Snakes creation stops progress with Codsworth and/or Preston in Concord. It's been said that skins can mess with the game too so it could be anything.
As a rule I don't normally activate any CC or script related mods until Preston and gang are installed in Sanctuary, just to be on the safe side.

It's just how the rng works. You will still get 'lesser' legendary items at any level. This is why some players farm or reroll legendary 's in the hope of getting the rarer drops.

You are more likely to get better odds on legendary drops the higher level you are as certain enemies level up with you and their drop table carries better equipment I believe.

All the CC quests reference the vanilla quest "Out of Time", which includes the initial meeting with Codsworth. That quest starts when you fall out of the cryo pod and ends when you first see Preston Garvey on the museum balcony. All these CC quests seem to have the potential to interfere with Out of Time, even though they technically shouldn't. They use that quest to see if you're out of the vault yet.

If you can go back to just the vanilla game, with no CC content installed, you can start a new game. Continue until you see Preston Garvey and "Out of Time" ends. You should then be able to reinstall CC and enjoy all it's fun content.

On xbox you will have to delete any saves that had the content you remove.
Then clear your 2gb reserve space cache.

Unfortunately yes.
Once you have used a mod or cc content that has been created on the CK there are files that basically get baked in to the save file and have the potential to break or corrupt that save when they are removed if you continue with that save. It is recommended to delete those saves that had any removed content and start a new game.
If you have reinstalled the base game you can go ahead and install any DLC's you own then start a new game.

Just don't load any CC content until you find Preston. I typically wait until I escort him and his peeps back to Sanctuary. Then save, exit, load CC. When I'm back at that starting location, it's great for starting CC.

i need a hand with something on xbox i had a modded save corrupt so i deleted the save then tried loading the game and it froze so i went back in and deleted the save game files and it still broke so i went back out of the game again and purged the entirety of fallout 4 then redownloaded it and still it wont load even tho its got no mods and no saves

My pie in the sky wish would be for a load of the F76 clothing, armours, items, and weapons to be backported into F4 but I doubt that'd ever happen. I'd happily pay for it though.

I’m having trouble on Xbox with mods, I’ll download mods then when I’m done ill go back to the main menu and then wait in a loading screen but then I go back to the Xbox Home Screen and then can never get back into the game until I erase all the saved data and start the mod list over again just so it can shut down again

I was clearing the mass pike tunnel west and came out at the boston police ration stockpile, I'm level 17 on survival and I haven't gotten any damaging perks yet so I am pretty weak for my level. I encountered a rabid radstag and was dealing with it when I heard explosions in the background. Once the radstag was dead I went over and found a crippled deathclaw and a blown up car. I killed the deathclaw but couldn't find what happened to injure it so much, anyone got some ideas what might have happened? This is my first deathclaw encounter and I've never seen them spawn so close to diamond city

Does the player's rad resistance apply to the irradiated food we may consume? Or is Lead Belly the only real way to lower the rads taken from said food/drinks?

I don't think many are insinuating Bethesda had any sort of malicious intent in not giving us info.
More so, many are simply irritated at the lack of info for roughly 2 years, before getting info of a delay at the very end of year 2. And then still not getting any sort of info regarding a potential release date besides our own speculations about a release date that coincides with the Fallout shows release date.
I don't know what goes into Game Development or what goes into updating a game to the extent they may be updating it, but i do know that basic communication is easy. And when it comes to basic communication, they have done little.

Becoming the boss leads to a raider questline which at the end leads to you being able to take over settlements in the Commonwealth.
If you kill all the raiders, nothing really happens besides the fact the raiders are dead.
So if you want content, go the raider route, but doing this and then raiding Commonwealth settlements near the end will result in Preston hating you.

Has a workaround been found or is a patch coming soon for the issue with the Automatron DLC? Tons of players, myself included, are having the games crash as soon as we enter the start menu if that mod is downloaded. Which was never an issue in the past.

I really gave it the collage try, but Porter Gage takes way to long to give up the perk, so I will be returning to my regularly schedule of beginning open season as soon as I reach Nuka world, really hope the devs learned to not waste money on evil factions after this, like could have been a great dlc if they gave it the same nuance as the pit but nope just generic evil raiders also wish they hadn't locked ammo for dlc weapons behind starting the dlcs, nothing luke having a legendary drop wasted on something you can't use for forever,

Was thinking about builds for new character and big leagues is the biggest argument for why we need to return to the older skills and perks systems, because if you want anything above 60% damage in melee it comes packaged with a game ruining area damage effect and an annoying popup,

Really though I think that is part of a broader problem shared with Skyrim the UI design feels like it dictates to much of the games, from tedious animations at crafting stations to the whole mostly streamlined still sometimes just shallower game play, all trying to fit in with the awkward interactions that are just part of doing games like this,

Of course yes, it is directly a problem with the game with the DLC, I have no idea what happened and from what I have read, I think it happens to everyone, the only way to play is by uninstalling the DLC but for me it doesn't matter. sense to play without that dlc :c

Maybe, UI and collision are probably the greatest issues, but if done right those can be addressed, might need to do a save file conversion system too though. Although, with the way camp budget can be manipulated, it may be the next gen update requires a new save, they may have done away with the ability to manipulate the camp budget too, as under 4k, that could get very resource intensive.

So many things just waste space, miniguns useless because smg exists which is useless because combat rifle exists which is useless because radium rifle exists, and this is because 5mm ammo isn't sold in quantities large enough or at prices cheap enough to make miniguns sustainable, and then the SMG fails because they gave it the same ammo as semiautomatic weapons that can give you similar DPS with a 1/4th the ammo used, only spray and pray makes the mere existence of the SMG not as bad as pipe weapons,

Ammo plant used same ammunt of materials to make 10 5mm that it does 10 45, also if the devs had kept the idea from New Vegas of grouping a large disparity of weapons under broad umbrellas of guns and energy weapons, this would be fine, but they made it so your backup has to be a heavy weapon because wasting perk points on multiple weapon perks feels even worse then spending them on special points

help me. since last week my fallout 4 didn't want to enter because of the automatrom dlc. I removed the dlc, but now the other dlc are showing purple textures. I checked on Raddit and thousands of people on PS4 and 5 are having this same problem. Fallout is practically impossible to play on Sony consoles. and don't be fooled. If this hasn't happened to you yet, wait because it will. It happened to me after I downloaded the new free CC mods. The 0kbt bug appeared and soon after I could no longer enter the game...

I mean, I've long suspected that this update is going to be akin to Skyrim AE- which came with an engine update- but I can't find any solid info online about an engine update for F4 with this update. I can't abandon something I didn't have. When they made the first next gen announcement in 2022, Creation Club had been dead for 3 years. It literally has none. Nothing to do, just put more content in the creation club, more space for mods and there will be many mods that improve the graphics and fix the quests/optimize the game If they ruin the game, it is as easy as deleting them, the problem comes when it is an update that will be there no matter what and you will be forced to have it.

Mainly you just miss out on the Raider's story and any loot you could get from em. (They do follow their word and actually give you stuff, surprisingly enough XD)

I wouldn't get too attached to the traders either, at least one always dies for me.

The reality of the situation is that if we haven’t seen a major update like the one Skyrim got when they totally revamped how their mod ui looked and worked, then it’s likely we won’t see the update for a long while yet. There’s no way they’ll revamp skyrims mod ui and not change fo4’s. When it happened to Skyrim the game had a major update and modding was down for like a whole weekend.

The best way to get ammo is with the Scrounger perk (Luck 2), looting everything you can when fighting raiders, super mutants, gunners, etc to sell said loot for ammo, and- with the Contraptions Workshop installed- building and using the Ammunition Plant.

Also some mods have been removed but remain through the load order. I'd they are wiped out then they are gone for good.

I hope there's more Creation Club content on the way than what they showed in today's announcement. Skyrim: Anniversary Edition had ten times as much CC content when it released.

They should add Fallout 76 weapons, armor, clothing, and power armor to Fallout 4 through Creation Club. I would pay for that sort of thing.

One thing they said in the announcement has me hoping, "There's even more content in the Fallout 4 updates, including the following free Creation Club items!" They said "including." That implies there is other new content besides those 3 items.

I'm a bit disappointed that the Enclave pack doesn't include the Officer Uniform and hat. With the way they said the already released will be free I'm hoping they'll have that integrated into the larger Creation Club. Also disappointed there's no Chinese Remnant pack so we can get settlement objects, uniforms, the Chinese Assault Rifle and Chinese Pistol.

While I appreciate free updates, I really do, I have to say I'm disappointed with the update news. It's been over a year since it was announced, and it's just some bug fixes? No updates to the engine, shaders, nothing? Not even the complete Creation Club like Skyrim got for it's anniversary edition? Nothing from 76? I don't understand why there was so much cloak and dagger about this update when it doesn't appear to be anything substantial?

There are alot of gamebreaking bugs in fallout 4, and i think its the perfect update to start a new run in fallout 4

and about why it took so long, testing a game takes alot of time and optimizing performance does aswell, they even went over ps4 and xbox one so its a cool thing they care

I'm pretty sure the December delay was mostly a marketing decision and little to do with QC. That was about the same time they updated the pricing structure for Creation Credits on Steam. Possibly anticipating the additional income from new players and new creations.

Everything disclosed today being free as stated when this next-gen update was first announced then further down the line an AE-type bundle with all CC content including those that haven't seen the light of day because I can't imagine there are just 3 of them considering the number of new creations in Skyrims AE. Essentially, these free creations in the update are what Survival mode, fishing, and S&S were for Skyrim.

no guys cmon, esnure EVERY mod you have is enabled, even if it wasn't enabled prior, then update the game. You get a cool new glitch where nothing works anymore
