If you're on PC, I sometimes find that alt-tab in and out of the game resolves some of my low framerate stutter. But that's just a trick... not real tech support 😉

76 isnt bad, but it's not great either. It's a very weird game, in that end-game content is pretty much non-existant.. there's a few bosses you can spawn, but they can be solo downed and the fights usually lasts no more than 3-4 minutes.. and rewards nothing special

The endgame for me consists of getting the most efficient build I can, making new camps where I can interact with people, helping noobies, or grinding the end game events for the seasonal/rare items. I've played since BETA and I'm no where near done with all the gold bullion stuff

I found Wastelanders questline(the best content in 76) ok but lack of robust modding made the game not hold my interest, plus quest designer/writer Will Shen has left BGS. No settlement mods on 76 like we have on 4 made camps feel very limited. The games stay fresh for far longer with mods since we can intersperse gameplay with mod added content, also engaging with mod creation & experimenting ourselves.

The big stuff for me are gameplay systems, extending the settlements like we see on 4 with Sim Settlements 2. Or AI enhancement like with Pack Attack NPC Edition

I grew so bored with Bloodied build which just breaks the game entirely, I went with Anti Armor Handmade rifle and Slug Buster, and pretty random effects on Armor.. and still I just melt everything contentwise.

I don't understand the difficulty on 76 at all. It's a live service game, but even casuals will melt all content within 4-5 weeks of reaching level cap

Oi oi, i see no reason to not be enthusiastic about BGS. I've been an adoring fan (hurr hurr) since Morrowind, and still am. I've spent more hours than I care to admit in all Fallout and ES games.. sans 76, that's the odd one.

I'm very much looking forward to this F4 update.. I'm not sure what to expect from it, there's been mention of content, some visuals.. who's to say what it'll offer, but I'm pretty sure I'll be spending at least another 50-60 hours on F4 when it finally does come.

Imagine how cool it'd be if some content of the F4 update added another nugget of lore on the synths.. I'm very curious about this piece of lore. Like, they have a brain.. but is it in use, or just a piece of meat and they run exclusively on code? Some of these things have been answered, but the final depths of their limitations really haven't.

That's what I guess I truly hope for.. I guess I don't hope that, because I know in my gut that is just asking too much of this, bit a guy can dream.

That's a fair interpretation and I feel similar as I'm happy with it already. As a player I'm fine to wait(or even simply with FO4 remaining as is), though as an author I do wonder when I might need to update my published mods if it might be needed for non-F4SE mods to be able to work.

Just speculation/wishful thinking but they were to port Fallout 4 to DX12 and using Starfield style optimization instead of precombines it would do wonders for the game's performance though a lot of us would need to update our mods.

My game crashes on xbox regardless of if im in boston or not on Series X. In fact I don't see a difference in how often it crashes in boston compared to lets say sanctuary. I never play with mods on console as I want to get achievements, and I only use CC Items. I actually think that the FPS Boost is screwing with my game a bit since when I have it turned off it doesnt seem to crash as often.

anytime i look online for solutions all i see are people complaining about crashes on series S. But then they say the X is flawless. so yeah i never got a solution

I discovered how to delete creation club content without reinstalling the whole game

Just delete the 2gb reserved space from saved data

It will also delete all mods you have installed but hey, at least it get the job done

Mod that reduces grass by at least 50%,and a mod that disables insignificant objects like debris and other stuff you never really notice help... Also mods that disable God rays and lens flares.

I have a noticeable performance improvement on console, aswell as far less overall crashes.

From my experience, issues in downtown are caused by vertibirds, there is just too much going on at the same time and the engine can't handle it.

Vertibird are very buggy in general, so much so that I am guaranteed to get a freeze or crash when trying to use it to travel... Have to save everytime before boarding.

There is some that are pre-populated, like Abernathy Farm and Tempines Bluff among a few others. You could just kill the settlers and move in. I wouldn't kill the Abernathy's though as they are actually named NPC and not generic settlers. Also they have a small but unique quest.

Scrounger perk is great. And visiting vendors every few days help keep up with ammo.
Though it depends on the type of ammo you want, as certain types will only spawn as your lvl increases, 2mm ammo for example. And then ammo from DLC's can only be found/bought from vendors in that DLC area.

Even though Fallout 4 is more in depth, that depth didn’t go anywhere. Only time these groups are getting exposition outside of the game is during Unlikely Valentine with the Triggermen.

Navigate to C:\Users<user name>\Documents\My Games\Fallout4, where <user name> is whoever you are logged in as
Rename Fallout4Prefs.ini to Fallout4Prefs.ini.bak
Launch the game and let it autodetect your video settings (don't worry about trying to change anything here)
The game should create a new Fallout4Prefs.ini
Quit the game
Edit Fallout4Prefs.ini with Notepad or another text editor
Find the following settings:
bBorderless=0
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=1080
iSize W=1920
Change them to:
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1440

Save the file
Right click on the file and select Properties

But generally perks in scrounger, looting literally every container you see, buying in bulk at various vendors will net you tons of ammo.

With various types it's definitely harder, like 2mm which really only shows up mid game in the loot table, and shows up in worthwhile numbers in vendors late game. Or 7.62 which is only available in Nuka world, .45-70 in Far Harbor etc

But always making sure when you're buying, that you are also selling and actually making a profit is important. Selling chems you don't use(I basically use none of the chems), ammo you don't use, leg weapons or armor etc

FO4 is in kind of a weird place with stability. I remember playing it pretty much straight through on one character up to Nuka World on the Xbox One and had some crashing (obviously) but never anything like what I've been getting trying to play again on a Series S.

Vanilla game with base expansion content works fine for a few hours, but then starts crashing more and more frequently as time wears on past like.. 20 hours? Eventually it hits a point where it locks up and crashes to dashboard within five minutes, even away from Boston. Tried quite a few times over the last couple years and it's always the same thing.

It's rather odd to me. The paradox of getting a better machine and having the game run markedly worse. I've heard it's something with CC content borking it, but I have no idea if there's anything to substantiate that outside of 'I heard a guy who knows a guy' kinda stuff.

i watched a lore video about why the brotherhood of steel are evil, and one of the reasons he doesn't allow any ghouls like Hancock, Kent and others, and he doesn't allow synths like Curie, Deacon, and others, he even found out about Danse being a synth when the sole survivor brings ingram the network tape from the institute and maxson orders the sole survivor to kill Danse was a synth and because of what the Brotherhood hates the most which is quote "Technology that's gone too far."

Unless they are the ones in control of said technology.

Edit: I have just looked at America Rising and the bug section has 209 unresolved issues. This mod has not been updated since 2018 and was replaced by America Rising 2 which was last updated Nov' 2023. I would suggest using this new one if not already.

okay so ive heard 2 different stories regarding the lucky rabbits foot in nuka world, the general consesnsus is that it is cut content, but there are also claims that it has a small drop chance from nuka world raiders, people say it is cut because its not on the drop list, but i also heard that there was a line of code on nuka world raiders npc data that is like 1/1,000,000 chance too drop on death, which is why it isnt in the drop list

Guys I disable mod and deleted the modded saves and I still cant get achievement. Any help?

Start a new game. If you've disabled mods and the modded saves, but are attempting to resume via new saves, the system most likely thinks you have mods enabled is what I am thinking. Additionally if the above assumption is correct and you are continuing where you left off with new saves, having disabled the mods will most certainly give you numerous issues at some point.

I just did a quick search and see many are experiencing achievements not unlocking. It's a bug.

Seems more an issue on Xbox than Playstation.

Maybe try this.

Fo4 has to date been my all time favourite game.
I have a have played vanilla, earned 100% achievements. I have played with mods and clocked 4,894.6 hrs on Steam mainly getting creative with settlement building as an outlet to my artistic leaning.
The PC / Steam version is by far the most stable (if your rig meets the requirements plus) and also offers the player with a plethora of modding capabilities through existing mods and use of the CK.
