Hi @primal moat you could try asking questions about SS2 in the FO4 mods chanel but Sim Settlements has its own wiki and also their own forum, both of which might serve you better.
The wiki is a very good source of info.
To use the forum to ask questions about using the mod you need to register.
Both sites can be easily found with a Google search. (I won't post links here in fo4 chat)

you probably have to rebuild the radio if you have one already. I think I had to when I did it. Usually SS2 is good to do when you have atleast one settlement that isn't built bc parts of the story have you build new things

As far as the radio tower goes, if you built one before activating SS2 you should scrap it and build a new one now SS2 is active.

Make sure you don't have a companion wearing PA with the Targeting HUD on (the effect transfers to you) .
Check you are not under the effects of Berry Mentats.
If your PA has the Targeting HUD modification last time you wore it remove it then get in and out of the PA again

IMO, Wounding. Explosive is nice but you basically forfeit your ability to use the weapon in mixed company so if you only want to carry one thing, ehhh. Wounding may not be as spectacular but all those hits get their one bleed and stuff will just melt away.

@misty herald Codsworth not talking can be caused by having certain creation club mods. Have you got any CC installed? If so you may need to restart or even re-install without them. If you want CC content, I would suggest installing after Concord even, as this can happen with Preston too.
Another reason can be that Codsworth is stuck in combat mode. Try killing all the Bloatflies and Radroaches around Sanctuary first.

The game's also on discount now and during that period, so it would be a good chance to give it another playthrough before Starfield gets released and hogs all the attention. Releasing it after Starfield doesn't really make sense.

The one on the top level of Starport Nuka can only be reached by completing either Power Play or Open Season and restoring the power. Alternatively you can get there with power armor equipped with a jet pack.

I keep searching for fixes on google by typing Semper Invicta Stage 200 quest completion with console commands but got nothing

Recommended command for moving past bugged sections of quests rather than forcing the entire quest to become completed. This command can only set the quest to a further stage; it cannot return you to a stage you have already completed. Input for Quest Stage is an INT; 10, 20, 30, etc.

So this might be setstage 0002BF20 10 to get back to the Talk to Dance stage.

Or you can try (save first) resetquest 0002BF20

Just note resetting quests can cause weird behavior on part of the game

Oh absurdly easy, it's pretty much just flipping a switch in the creation kit on the containers in question. Only issues would be conflicts with other mods that affect those containers. Which is why Bethesda isn't going to consider them a glitch or bug; it's not any kind of error it's just the "owned container" marker working as intended.

Always happy to help. Hopefully it didn't break down the line (basically, quests break when the script fails to fire for whatever reason, NPC is too far, they didn't spawn in the cell, the phase of Jupiter's moons is out of phase with Masseur and Secundus...). It's fairly straightforward to wrap your head around console commands once you get used to them.

It just happened randomly. I was in a settlement and they asked me to do something when I had not yet turned in another settlement quest to Preston. Then I turned in the other quest to Preston after helping the settlement and he didn’t say anything about having anything else for me!

I had also gotten every settlement in the base game and almost maxed out the Size meter for Sanctuary.

Fallout 4 loads everything at capped framerate so it would always finish loading on a set time if the loading is already finished. PC has a mod for this that unlocks frame rate in the loading screen making loading take at most 5 seconds on my pc nowadays xd

I've heard cases where people spend time arranging their load order then add a CC mod to find the load order reset.

Maybe the next gen update will go some way to mitigate the issues but even if it does big whoop. The content and the problems they caused should have been fixed 3 - 4 years ago.

Probably Institute because all other factions are, by the ideals of the Enclave, filthy degenerate mutant wastelanders fit only to serve as slave laborers or test subjects. Institute probably comes closest to meeting their warped standards of "human purity" in the wasteland.

There's a bug with the wasteland workshop dlc where it turns concrete structures pink and the steel frame going around a concrete wall also being pink and gorilla heads are pink and neon lights are pink the cages are pink basically anything apart of the wasteland dlc is pink.

You can’t really Roleplay a low charisma character and use many settlements. Or even Home Plate in diamond city.

You have to walk outside to use the crafting stations.

So you have to pick out your materials every time… it’s very silly

I actually don’t mind the character voice in FO4. It makes it more immersive & the sarcastic dialogue options make it better. However, I will agree it does take away a bit of roleplay but I think modders should add a voice customization option.

The Creation Club stuff in itself didn't cause the problem but the patch that was used to add them.

It was most likely a problem that was already there in the game but the patch caused it break.

I see well it will good to finaly destroy some BOS airships without crashing and having to run the game and reload the save 10 times

I had something like that with footsteps and gunfire and hearing taunts. I was really perplexed. Turned out I somehow managed to have two instances of Fallout 4 running at the same time and I was hearing the audio for the second game. Lol idk

In my case when I heard the footsteps I carefully poked around and found 3 Gunners.

Another time it was a deathclaw good thing I decided to go up on top of a building to look around otherwise I would've ran right into it.

I know drivers can sometimes mess with the game, my HoI4 game got stuck recently with army move confirmations stuck on a loop.

I'd also check any posprocessing filters you might have applied to the sound or other effects, like echo.

(eg. windows doing an auto update might have messed with your settings)

But I've run into my first big problem with the game. ending the story with the faction of the brotherhood of steel, right after the destruction of the building of the opposite faction, I do not want to release spoilers, the game freezes in the cinematic that comes after, so it does not let me continue with the game to continue with the secondary missions or with the dlc. I've tried everything, even doing a clean installation deleting all the files on the PC but it's still the same. @tame mica the ending is probably the biggest explosion you will get in-game but as it caused a freeze I would advise turning off weapon debris in the advanced settings in the launcher.
This will minimize the risk of further freezes and crashes.

Preston doesn't bother me. 50% of the time I never even speak to him in Concord. Another 25% of the time I escort him to Sanctuary and leave him there, never speaking to him again. Yes! I highly recommend all BPW, they have a very high damage but having a few downsides, they are slow with reloads (especially the Dragon as you need to load 4 .50 caliber balls), the condition goes down faster then regular weapons and the .50 caliber balls might be a pain to get early on but you'll be swimming in them after using BPW for a short while

That was a recent response to a request for an update, the original official release said the game patch would be end of the year, there is a link to it further up in this discord channel.

Obviously it could get pushed back, but in lieu of an update, as stated above they are too busy to confirm any change, would mean that the original officially announced scheduled is still in place.

It's not really that hard to get; I did it accidentally on my first playthrough

IIRC all you need to do is get kicked out of the Institute before completing the quest "Mass Fusion" for any faction

Okay it's marginally more involved after checking, what you have to do is ignore the Brotherhood quest "Tactical Thinking" (IE don't even talk to Kells for his briefing), not finish the Railroad quest "Underground Undercover", and get kicked out of the Institute without completing the quest "Mass Fusion". You can do that by either shooting people in the Institute or telling Father to go stuff himself after the quest "The Battle of Bunker Hill"

Then just keep doing Minutemen quests until you get the quest "Defend the Castle", and boom, you've unlocked the Minutemen ending without turning the Brotherhood or Railroad hostile

There are no story setpieces or quests elaborating on the Railroad/Brotherhood conflict afterwards; don't expect some cool moment of you brokering peace or even a throwaway comment about them deciding to leave one another be. They just sort of... didn't care enough to include actual content for this scenario lmao

On PC, you change the CPU core command to use 1, i forget the exact line, a google search could help ,this works for FO3 as well. IF you are playing on Xbox, then this wont help.

I think the stuff left on hold since 2019 will be the last in terms of Creation Club content. Creation Club did have potential but it was implemented poorly and there are some very lazy bugs that are still present which could be fixed in literally minutes and that's before you even get to the more serious bugs.
Creation Club promised curated polished and quality small scale content but what we got were weapons that use animations that don't fit properly and use base game sfx.
The Creation CLub was just a test run for the Fallout 76 Atomic Shop, nothing more.

My guess, Starfield will release and then they will spend the next two months making adjustments and squashing bugs. I really doubt they will dedicate anything to next gen during that time... If things go well/settle down we may get an update. If not, it might get pushed to next year. 😢

Far Harbor was amazing, very few if any cons, mostly adding in a unneeded ammo type

Automatron was decent, we got a returning character, and got the ability to build and customize robots, kinda short story and a weird settlement tho, kinda felt like they could of done more, maybe added in the antagonizer, or at least the costume and special lines for if you go to face the Mechanist, but i enjoyed it

Nuka world should of had more work done on it, while Nuka World is amazing if you want to do a raider/evil playthru, the raider settlement system is kinda wonky, and if you dont want to do a evil playthru and want to free the traders, theres not much to that side, you just kill everyone, nothing else

Wasteland Workshop and Contraptions Workshop should of been free updates, i think everyone agrees with that, theyre still decent, adds in a bunch of settlement items and the ability to have builders, but theyre the last DLC in the list when buying Fallout 4 DLC and should be gotten on sale or in the season pass

I remember before CC the biggest complaint was the oil slick update and that was back when they still had the forums and you could actually get answers on a mod, or get in contact with the mod author quickly.

My way around doing the Nuka World without being completely evil is to do that before I even do the concord museum plot. I get 3 nuka world outposts set up and clear all the parks and then once I have my little chem machines unlocked (which makes you sooo much money), and my permenant perks from allying with the raiders, I then betray them and move onto the main game.

Funny when Carto mentioned the file had been reuploaded he never said the update wasn't intentional or mistake. Some items in the Wasteland DLC never got the 4k textures on the Xbox when they did the 4k update for it.

Yes. I've only played one game where lowering the difficulty then reloading a prior save with the original difficulty caused issues and that game was Calypso Protocol.

I actually loaded a Mod to fix that issue and a month later I realized loading a mod breaks achievements. However, there are also Mods that will re-enable achievements (wish I had known), but I don't have any experience with those. Depending on your monitor, it could have multiple options, like if you use a TV as a monitor, since its not built for gaming but for TV, It might have input lag, what usually happens when i use a TV when im at someone's house

Usually modern TVs have a gaming setting that reduces input lag

There is probably no way to have a mod not register as one the only mod I would like official would be the type 2 tos phaser mod for Star Trek the gun feels fun to use but is not to powerfull but also not useless and looks from all weapons to me the best I would pay money for that one though I get why it’s not officially added because of copyright though for me the alien blaster felt hard to aim and long range unreliable even with the scopes grip and so on full upgrades

All junk is used for crafting, that's it's purpose... And you don't need to scrap it, just store it in a workshop bench, it's automatically scrapped when crafting.

Go into a workbench, highlight components, get scrapper perk, pick up highlighted stuff when exploring.

All workbenches in the same settlement are attached to the settlement workshop, all scrap is shared through all workbenches, when crafting settlement stuff, food, weapon/armor/power armor mods, or chems...
