PS: I'm taking most of these ideas from some mods I remember playing with in the OG Oblivion, so just keep in mind that they're not exactly original, but:
-
Some unique items correspond to the level in which the player obtained them, which just discourages the player from properly experiencing the game. I think that these items should either automatically level with the player, or there should be a service that can be bought to bring the item to the player character's current level.
-
I think that the passive health regeneration should be reduced a bit. While it's a nice quality of life feature, it just makes healing spells, potions, and food a bit pointless. It wasn't even included in the OG game, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
-
The crime system in Oblivion is somewhat outdated, and Skyrim brought some great improvements. I think a witness system just like Skyrim's would make the game a lot more fun to play with a criminal character. Also, I think that the guards hear crimes from too far away. I don't mind if it's a bit beyond the normal NPC voice range but the way it's done in the game is a bit ridiculous.
-
There should be a level limit for generic monsters and NPCs which normally level with the player, as to stop them from becoming too overpowered or making levelling a hassle. Also, low-level enemies and items shouldn't stop spawning as the player levels up.
Subcategories for inventory for the love of God
And optimization of UE5, the shader loading is abysmal, even on a 4090 and 9800x3d
You know a what would be cool, is a filter for the players that want that OG Oblivion more Green look to their game? Cant be that hard I imagine.
- Instead of locked difficulty multipliers, separate sliders for player damage dealt and enemy damage dealt that can be set independently like how it was done in Starfield
Loving the Oblivion remaster so farāitās incredible seeing Cyrodiil come to life with the updated visuals! That said, as a long-time fan, Iāve got a few patch suggestions that I think would make a huge quality-of-life difference:
1.** Let us delete custom spells **ā Itās way too easy to accidentally create a spell thatās useless or broken, and youāre stuck with it forever.
2. Loot visibility fix ā The enhanced graphics are gorgeous, but Iāve legit missed out on so many weapons and shields because they blend right into the environment now.
3. Keychain or key tab ā I saw thereās a mod for this, but seriously, keys are clogging up my misc tab and making it a pain to find anything.
Would love to see these in a future update. Anyone else running into the same issues?
Coming back to echo other people's sentiments about the dark brotherhood door having 2 extra kids that don't line up with established lore and it not looking as atmospheric anymore.
DLC Title: The Fall of Valenwood
Location: Deep within the untamed forests of Valenwood, homeland of the Bosmer.
Summary:
Years after the Oblivion Crisis, the Green Pact is faltering. Rogue Bosmer druids have begun awakening forbidden forest spirits, threatening to unleash the Wild Hunt ā a devastating force of nature that could engulf Tamriel. You, the Hero of Kvatch, are called to restore balance before Valenwood tears itself apart. But as the Thalmor secretly meddle in the chaos, the line between salvation and destruction begins to blur.
New Features:
⢠A 20+ hour storyline set in a fully explorable Valenwood region
⢠A dynamic Green Pact morality system that rewards or punishes actions like harvesting wood or harming plant life
⢠New faction: The Thorn Circle, druidic warriors who ride forest beasts and command spirit magic
⢠Living armor that grows with your choices, bone-forged weapons, and spirit-bound bows
⢠Light-based Ayleid ruins with spectral puzzles and lore-heavy boss fights
⢠Optional Bosmer companion with shifting loyalty based on your adherence to the Green Pact
Why it fits Oblivion:
This expansion builds on Oblivionās core themes of ancient magic, divine absence, and the post-crisis power vacuum. It dives into underdeveloped Elder Scrolls lore, introduces moral complexity like the Daedric quests, and delivers a wild, nature-infused contrast to the Daedra-filled Oblivion Gates ā all while offering a new region ripe for exploration and story.
Can you please make the Finger of the Mountain spell actually useableš I donāt see why the mana cost should be so much(710 when destruction and willpower is maxed and the spell is at its highest level)
-
Achievements - The original game's achievements were all about progressing through quest lines, and they're almost mirrored in this version. I feel like more can be added for things like daedric quests, acquiring full sets of armor, doing silly memeable stuff, offing the adoring fan, etc.
-
Photo Mode/Adjust HUD opacity - Even just the ability to disable the HUD to take clean screenshots or clips on Xbox would be a great addition with the incredible scenery.
-
Showing which caves/dungeons have been completed with a "Cleared" tag on the map screen.
-
Many spells like fireball and healing don't give off much or any lighting in the world and increasing the amount of lighting would be more on par with the original game. Apologies if this is a bug, but I felt it was more a design decision.
-
More Inventory Tabs - Inventory in Oblivion has always been a pain point, so some new inventory tabs may help. At least giving keys their own tab or collapsable item (keychain).
-
A purchasable house with storage in the Shivering Isles š This was always absent in the original and required constant traveling back to Cyrodiil
Thanks for hearing us out and thanks for making this game incredible so far.
Oblivion difficulty scaling is broken. Can we get better scaling? From adept to expert, enemies because major damage sponges, and your attacks deal nothing. Master is even worse. Even something as small as bringing enemies health back or closer to adept would help. Adept is just way to easy the game is boring. But I don't have all day and 10 repair hammers for one rat on expert.
khajiit claws should do more damage, attack faster, scale with agility, and cause bleeding. Thank you. ā¤ļø
Please consider adding mod support on consoles for Oblivion Remastered, like you did with Skyrim and Fallout 4. It would really improve the experience and let the community fix certain issuesāespecially the lack of native language voice-overs for non-English players.
If official localization isnāt planned, mods could allow players to restore the original voices in their own language. Console access to mods would make a big difference.
Thanks for listening!
1: An ability to delete / hide spells in your spell menu would be greatly appreciated to reduce clutter when scrolling through the menu
2: It would be great to have 'reanimate' added to spellmaking once Risen Flesh or the Staff of Worms are acquired.
2A: Not sure if this is the place to mention it, but the Reanimation effect on Risen Flesh is bugged (and presumably Staff of Worms, haven't gotten to that yet); the NPCs body just hangs there bugged while the invisible AI 'follows' you. Going through a doorway seems to fix this, which suggests that the only thing missing is a proper reanimation animation
3: Not having player movement pause when accessing the quick select menu. This really hampers switching spells on the fly mid-combat.
Thanks very much for taking suggestions!
2 immersion explanations for upgrading leveled items:
-
a nerdy curator, museum or antiquity shop in the Imperial City who constantly reminds you of how poorly you treat your insanely valueable artifacts and thus wants to take care of them. So you give them to him and a day later he gives you a version that is updated to your current level. Tho he would always like to keep them and put them in some vitrine, but hes a honorable man and no thief, so he just does the best he can do to preserve them.
Perhaps with some relation or hints to the antiquity "guild" in Solitude from ESO. -
a lost magic Ayleid smithy in some ruin.
Perhaps consuming varla or welkynd stones for it.
Please keep in mind that while this channel is available for general feedback, if you are experiencing an issue in game or would like to share your feedback/suggestion directly, we ask that you please submit a feedback ticket with our support team here: https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287
Please add official VR support š
-
Increase all armor & weapon health by 25-30%
-
Decrease enchantment usage cost by 50%
-
Decrease weapon and armor weights by at least 20%
-
Make the lighting from the DB door closer to the original by making the hand glow or making the candles red
-
Please put negative effects affecting you on some menu so we can see why our stats are randomly weakened even if we've casted Cure disease. I keep having to use the shrines to fully fix my stats
We need the ability to make notes on the map. Like mini markers with stickies.
Instant local map when indoors, instead of needing to zoom in.
Mark Magical Stones on the map as locations
Argonians too. They've got some gnarly claws.
I know there's a "fix" but an update that let's us keep our races natural sizes would be great. Having to strip and get on a horse every time is just not the way.
I believe that it isn't restricted by distance to totem but by where the player is, if you the player aren't within a certain range, that I do not know, of the warchief then they just don't go looking for it. Rimmydownunder did a video about it like 2 hours ago and probably explains it better since he is what introduced me to goblins wars like 2 years ago, I believe in that video he also did a lot of explaining about original oblivion code so he probably knows a lot abt it
Please, make Mannimarco use his spells instead of a knife
Also, dual wielding ā¤ļø
Can there be a multiple disc physical release that has a playable build across multiple discs like Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X or like Baldurās Gate 3?
Add a map notification for if Iāve cleared a dungeon
Hey team! I wanted to bring up a small but immersion-breaking detail Iāve noticed when playing as a Khajiit. The beard or facial hair option currently shows up as a completely different tone from the base fur color, which often ends up clashing visually and looking unnatural. It really stands outāespecially in close-ups or character-focused scenes.
It would be great if there were an option to either:
1. Disable the beard altogether for Khajiit characters, or
2. Have the beard dynamically match the primary fur tone for a more cohesive appearance.
I love the depth of customization and the care thatās gone into the racesāthis little tweak would go a long way in polishing the Khajiit look. Thanks for all your hard work!
mod support = all above added
Please revert the Weapon Skill Tier changes. The new bonuses are bland and uninspired compared to unlocking unique power moves for the weapons.
I really really donāt remember Oblivion crashing a lot a lot when I make potions
Mannequins in player homes including DLC? Not a huge change but it's one of the few differences I really appreciated in Skyrim. I always loved Battlehorn's display cases, but armour just looks miles better displayed on a mannequin. Imagine Battlehorn with those!
Also to add onto the above about the Khajiit hair tone difference. The lighting in the starting cell really throws off what colours are what in character creation. I thought for a while it was impossible to make my dumner have black hair. Once i exited CC and walked out of the cell with the boys, I could see I did actually have black hair, it just looked suuuper light in the CC
Okay new here but what I've got to say is, good game sorry it got spoiled. First the head you find on a stool in the broken house in kavatch the one with the dermora guy in it, yeah the head needs to be a dark elf's head from Morrowind and later in Skyrim he confirmed he was in kavatch when he died so fix the head pls.
Next when sitting on furniture or riding horses, the player will randomly stand for a second, nothing game breaking just odd to see.
Next you have probably guessed is some lighting issues here the lighting of things like spells or the environment will do odd stuff at times.
Next there is a odd glitch that makes the visual effects of spells or water bubbles appear on the characters longer than suppose to.
Next in anvil I got the house with the ghosts and some of the ghost umm puddles or corpse left overs won't despawn. Other bodies in some places won't either.
Next DONT FIX items dropped in some places won't despawn either and I like that after a few in games years I can still find that random thing I dropped haha.
Next there is a random glitch where the player will die for unknown reasons when entering the big oblivion Tower, your health drops then you player makes sounds like hurting then dies for no seeable reason, after one death it goes away but still odd and annoying.
Next pls add a better 3rd person, seeing feet and body would be a plus and
IF POSSIBLE pls add foot prints to the game even if they despawn after a big like the leafs. That's all I got for now so pls let us on PS5 know when your update is ready and what all is in it. Thanks again for the surprise I am enjoying it.
I play this game to live out my fantasy life OK so can I have my big muscles and boobs slider plz and arm slider and leg slider and wide back slider and neck slider and feet slider and hand slider.
Such a small request sir šāāļø
I know we have a video of the old oblivion... but I'd like a "making of... oblivion remastered." I'm sure Virtuos would like to share their part in it, and their challenges.
Please add a key ring in to manage these crazy keys
I want to see the dual wielding part that I be able to carrying one weapon on the right hand and one weapon on the left hand in Oblivion Remastered. No, Iām not going to play Skyblivion, I rather do the dual wield part for my heroes of Kvatch for my builds.
An option for a dark ui would be nice.
Some ideas i had, some of which I have seen on here already and am merely echoing them to improve visibility are:
Make physical combat skills (blade, blunt AND marksman) gain experience based on damage dealt so that leveling them is less of a slog and more in line with changes to spellcasting and mercantile.
Make blunt weapons do a little more base damage than their blade counterparts to make up for their slower attack speeds and lack of offensive perks. That way, blade still wins in dps, but blunt is at least not so far behind, and can still keep it's niche of being the more defensive/utility weapon type.
Additionally, make ALL 2-handed weapons, be they blade or blunt, do considerably more damage to make up for how much slower they are. Especially with the way we have combos now that have breaks in them rather than swinging with no breaks like in the original, really makes 2-handed weapons feel weak compared to faster ones.
All these changes should make combat focused characters feel more competitive with other builds while not shaking things up too much, I think.
Let us make our own staffs mages guild one sucks
being able to see your character in first person would be nice, especially for shadows where you only see a floating weapon and shield. also, restoring more green to the environment is important. it doesn't need to be exactly as vibrant as the original, though something close would be nice. it went too far in the brown direction. that's not the oblivion vibe
Thereās a bug š where if your controller batteries die while youāre playing the game and you put new batteries in the controller, the game wonāt recognize your controller when it turns back on but the Xbox does so you have to quit the game or have a cord to plug in.
Thatās some game breaking stuff š§
Because my 1 life - 100% completion - No saves - Red Bull sponsored 24/7 marathon stream just failed because that š !!!!!!
Whoās laughing now saying it doesnāt matter .
( this is for entertainment purposes only, the actual stream never took place during the writing of this comment/suggestion or in this reality and Red Bull has no affiliation with this comment)
Can we see our bodyās in first person view like KCD ?
Difficulty slider the clearly labels how much damage the player and enemy does with a lot more options (maybe 5% incriments) starts at 100% for both and you can change it to like 80-120 and so on. Or have a difficulty slider for both player and enemies, so you could choose for both to do 300% damage if you so wish, or 1% š¤·š»āāļø
Please add Armor Stands for all the player homes including frostcrag and deepscorn!
Itās sounds strange, but I always wanna get Mythic Dawn summon armor when I become a cult member, itās look very COOLtic
A quest line to rebuild Kvatch
Ok so if I am crafting 50 potions from or a hundred potions from a single ingredient the game crashes before I use up all the ingredients. The crash in consistent in that I have repeated it happening a dozen times. A fix would be nice
Right now the decorating is completely bugged, some shelves and stuff are blocked with an invisible wall and you can't decorate as well as you used to be able to. Would love to see that fixed, need me a nice cozy cabin on the waterfront to come home to after days of adventuring
To ensure your bug report goes to the correct team, please submit a bug report at https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287
There are a ton of good suggestions here!
One I really want is an option to choose between the original and new voices for each race during character creation.
I really like the new Khajiit lady voices and would prefer to use those over the original!
A height/scale slider during character creation would be great too! I have manually set my scale down on a character (to 0.85) using the console and everything seems to be working fine.
So I think having a scale slider to change your character's size a bit would be great.
Edit: for something that isn't cosmetic, please fix the level scaling. That was my only real gripe about vanilla Oblivion and we still have to mod it out. Higher tier loot should be rarer and trash mobs should not disappear from the world as you level. Have powerful enemies and groups of weaker ones.
Every wolf turning into a bear and every marauder wearing full Daedric is just weird.
Sorry have a correction to make, I meant a better 1st person haha, also the word big towards the end should be bit.
Here are four things I think would really improve this already solid remaster:
Leveling feels too fast early on.
In my first playthrough, I hit level 4 just from doing the tutorial, Vilverin, Fort Chalman, and the Roxey Inn necromancer quest. By the time I reached Kvatch, I was level 10, it felt way too quick, and like I skipped the fun of the lower levels. I ended up restarting. Now Iām playing on Apprentice difficulty to slow things down, which helps (only level 2 so far), but itās a bummer that I had to lower the difficulty just for better pacing.
Let us level up in first-person.
The forced third-person view during the level-up screen feels jarring, and the player model blocks some of the motivational text. It would be much more immersive to keep it in first-person.
Inconsistent NPC voices.
Some characters randomly switch voices mid-conversation, most likely due to the new voice work. The new actors are solid, but itās weird hearing an Orc suddenly speak in two totally different voices depending on the topic.
Bandits shouldn't have top-tier gear.
It breaks immersion when random bandits are running around in high-end armor. It makes rare gear feel cheap and undermines the sense of progression.
why is first person riding in one of the trailers BUT not in the game, Damn it Todd you lied to me again - in the video titled The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion - Then and Now at 5:04
Would love for something additional to do after the thieves guild. You're reward for the completion isn't that good compared to the other factions.
Please, PLEASE fix the way hair and facial hairs appear when effects quality is high or ultra. It looks see through and makes the hair appear thin, you can literally see down to the scalp/see the outline of the scalp. Facial hair also ends up looking fake and transparent. Whatever effects are being used need to be fixed, it's very distracting.
some sort of photo mode to add to this too
Please add support for XESS 2, and XESS framegen. Would love to not have to use optiscaler...
Agree we need this
Dear developers! Please add at least BASIC FINISHING STRIKES IN BATTLE for people and animals as it was in SKYRIM, this is sorely lacking (cutting off heads, piercing, etc.). There is not enough action! š
Please fix the difficulty, expert should not be that big of a jump from adept.
Maybe a quest to rebuild Kvatch? I think that would pretty cool. Maybe after the conclusion of the MQ you can go back to Kvatch and rebuild. Just my two cents. Always bothered me that we couldnāt officially do anything with Kvatch.
Please keep in mind that while this channel is available for general feedback, if you are experiencing an issue in game or would like to share your feedback/suggestion directly, we ask that you please submit a feedback ticket with our support team here: https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287
Not sure if this has gotten attention, but on PS5 if oblivion is running while in rest mode the gameplay hours continue counting. Not sure if it affects other platforms.
Ability to edit character later in the game.
More argonian facial options. Such as removing chin spikes
Populate the Imperial City more. Make it feel ALIVE. I walk around and there's barely any NPCs to interact with or things to do. The districts should all feel unique from one another. Put up banners, flags, market stands. The cathedral in the Imperial should be the most beautiful and impressive of all but instead it's bland and barebones. As is the Imperial city feels empty and un immersive.
Also the same but for most of the taverns in all of Cyrodil. This game has some of the most tame and boring taverns I've ever visited in a medieval fantasy ever.
A game this gorgeous deserves photo mode. PLEASE!
Please fix the thieves guild questline, its the most fragile questline of all, particularly the last few quests
An update to vampires would be awesome, just a bit of a buff to make it more worth it, I get that itās supposed to be a curse but I think we could be stronger as a vampire and still have big consequences.
Also not sure what game engine allows but if we didnāt take damage unless in direct sunlight that would probably be enough
I've played 30 hours and here are my suggestions:
- Make it is so dungeons and oblivions gates i've already been too have a "cleared" tag like in skyrim
- The difficulties expert and master are way too hard, they need tweaking.
- survival difficulty like Fallout 4 and what Skyrim eventually got
Skooma dealer dlc
The gold accents and trimming on Ebony armor pieces don't match with the gold accents and trimming on the Ebony weapons. Personally I think the weapons have the better gold since it actually looks metallic with the materials used. It would be nice if you patched the armor to have the same look as the weapons do and so that they actually look like they go together.
Changing the beast tongue power for bosmer to work on higher level animals would be fun!
This thread being going for days how the hell will they organise and read it?
We have our ways
Suggestion for Security: Since the skill becomes worthless once you get the Skeleton key, maybe either rework the Skeleton Key or change the perks to something that is related, but not just about better lockpicking.
So for instance:
Perk 1= Can now pass over tripwires without activating them.
Perk 2= Can interact with traps, allowing you to apply a poison to them.
Perk 3= Gain a power that places a pressure plate using a poison. Enemies who step on this trap are afflicted by the poison.
Perk 4= Gain a power to trap doors using a poison.
Allowing fortified attributes/skills other than acrobatics/athletics/speed to contribute value when their fortified value goes beyond 100 would be cool.
With the level up system change itās easier than ever to get 100 in an attribute (like strength) but then your enchanted gear stops contributing value.
Hey devs can yall please make it so we can see if a soul gem is filled? And maybe some more item category tabs, finding items under āall itemsā is kind of a massive time sink especially if you have to use a stack of items (like multiple soul gems to recharge) and have to scroll back down to it every time you use one
Add the glow back to the dark brotherhood door!!
Suggestions

More Hotkey slots. Controller players desperately need this as well. Iām thinking if you Hold LB and then click in R3 to swap pages of hotkeys. When setting them from inventory menu have it be while the hotkey layout is open for edit. Click R3 to flip to page 2 and allow for more than 2 pages of hotkey items/abilities.
-
Adept is almost perfect but we need 2 more difficulty settings at this point they might as well just say itās a slider with presets. After level 20 itās almost too easy. You need āSquireā before adept difficulty that has.. Damage taken x0.8 and Damage dealt x2.0 also āKnightā difficulty after āAdeptā where Damage taken x2.0 and Damage dealt x0.8
Idk though maybe the slider was a good idea all along.
-
Radiant quests from the mages guild to gather alchemy ingredients for gold, a random potion(s), or completely different ingredients.
-
Some form of āClearedā tag on ruins/caves Iāve cleared. If theyāve reset since cleared have the tag change color. Revert back after the location has been cleared again.

Map markers for Ayleid Wells, Wayshrines, and Doomstones.

Can you please color the map. The tan while iconic is a bit drab. Give us an option to turn map coloration on and off.
-
Settings to change colors of map markers and the compass bar. Allow us to turn off enemy markers, undiscovered locations, discovered locations or the ability to turn the compass off completely. Apply this same logic to the entire UI. Allow us to recolor health/magicka/stamina* bars.
-
Give us the ability to swap between Skyrim and Oblivionās soundtrack, and throw Morrowindās OST in there for good measure.
-
Replace the sound of wooden clubs when you hit something sounds too close to hitting a baseball when Iām smacking a rat with a spiked wooden club. Needs a more metal being smacked into flesh and ripping sound effect. More of a thunk* shink* shplorch*
-
Add a way to remove enchantments from items at the enchantment workbench in Frostcrag spire.
-
Option to use Original Oblivionās main menu and startup screen. Even if itās something I can only get after I beat the main story or unlock all the achievements. While the new one is gorgeous I miss the map scroll and the close up of the IV that leads with title moving away from the screen when the trumpets of the main theme hit unveiling the full title. Itās pure unfiltered hype every time.
-
Just Change fatigue to stamina. Saying Iāve ran out of fatigue doesnāt make any sense.
-
Customizable filters for inventory tabs and a keyring.

More achievements.

Thank you for this. I really need oblivion back in my life. The developers who created this and will be maintaining the remasters legacy into the future thank you for giving me my home away from home back. I look forward to this and Skyblivion both. I hope everyone else now and in the future can see how amazing this game and series are.
I have over 1k hours on Oblivion Original & played Remastered on both Steam and Gamepass, here are my suggestions:
- Graphical optimization needs to improve, FYI whatever you guys did with the update on gamepass it helped, the game looks better and runs better on my low end pc using the gamepass version and I can't get it to the same level on the steam version.
- Skill AND Attribute progression is too fast, by lvl20 my character had 100 Endurance, 100 Strength and 100 Intelligence, also 100 destruction. I wasnt even done the main story and barely done any side content let alone expansions and I felt like my character's progression was already complete... I recommend lowering attribute points on level up to 10, and slowing skill progression.
- The 3 swing combination with melee weapons that was added in Remastered should be reverted to original, its not a good addition in my book, it feels different than original oblivion, there's nothing wrong with the melee attack cadence in regular oblivion, 2 handers feel unusably slow
- Corpses are not as interactable anymore, you used to be able to hit the corpses with attacks and spells and they would ragdoll around, Also your character would get pin-cushioned by enemy arrows before, they would stick out of the character model, it seems this has been removed from remastered, makes remastered feel less technically advanced than the 20 year old original
- Adept feels too easy, expert feels too hard. I recommend removing the passive health regen that was added, at least on adept difficulties and up. This alone would make adept feel like the proper difficulty I think (or closer to it). To make expert easier simply scale the damage modifiers down a bit to allow the player to do more damage
- Bring race height back, it feels less immersive that a high elf and wood elf are the same height and same run speed, changing this takes away from the fun of the game
I'm having fun with this remaster, I hope these changes get made.
Please add radiant quests like in skyrim for endless adventure. Please add Armor crafting. Please add more difficulty options/ fix Expert. Add mods!
Has anyone asked yet if they plan to add a survival mode like they added later in Skyrim, Fallout 4 and Starfield? It would be a nice addition to the remaster
They should make water walking spells/items with that enchantment apply to your horse as well
Something that'd be very helpful you could take shades from the True Directional Movement mod in Skyrim is the ability to lock onto a target, because firing spells and arrows, even in first person, is tedious.
Suggestion for Hand to Hand: PLEASE bring the old Mastery Perks back such as knockdowns at Expert or paralyzing punch for Master. If spells and poisons can knock someone out, I believe my fists should be able to do the same.
UI bug in Class creator, the top of the screens shows A/D for left and right, but it's actually Q/E
A suggestion to have a quest-line to have Kvatch rebuilt after the entire main quest is complete. (A little lore breaking, maybe?) A new city hub to put things like a face sculpture, and other new things that you may want to add in to the game.
I'd like to see my own body and shadow in first person
I dunno if anyone from Bethesda/Virtuous will see this, but myself and some other members of the modding community have been trying to get a cobbled together Unreal "dev kit" (ala those available for other Unreal games, like Conan Exiles, SQUAD, Ark etc) together.
One thing that would really really help us out is if a branch on Steam could be made with a "modular" build (e.g., where it outputs the modules and plugins as separate DLLs vs one single EXE). Minimal work required for the team but big payoff for the modding community in terms of workflow.
Your origin should appear on the race details card in the character menu.
Gently being able to nudge items in our house while decorating w the bumper was so much easier than holding A and having the item zing right back into our hand and try to adjust its so sloppy & frustrating
Here's another idea, mud on clothes and boots if in dirty water and or rainy muddy spots. The character Frosts when they are in the cold so water dripping off when raining and getting dirty with mud blood so on, to clean just unequip or swim in clean water. Oh oh and like others might be saying the ability to store items on a horse would be sooo great for looting.
Please fix the framerate in the Arena. I seem to get about 55-60fps in most parts of the game but when I fight a match in the arena it tanks into the mid to low 40s.
If you're at all going the DLC route, a small incursion into black marsh so we can see the argonians being a menace would be appreciated. But general fixes first and stuff
I know this may be an odd suggestion, since itās not exactly ānewā. But oblivion originally had a number of cool cut content. Duke of Colovia, and even holidays were neat. I know each city was planned to have an arena too, but that would be crazy. Iāve heard generic radiant quests were also cut, and I personally donāt know what else. But i thought it might be pretty cool as a suggestion.
Bring flips and rolls back for the acrobatic skill
A buff to allied npcs hp/resistances on low difficulties to medium...
For folks that don't want to play "high stress babysitter simulator"
I've argued many times that Bethesda games have been losing the world simulation aspect that I play these games for, and they've become more and more of a shell. Starfield didn't have NPC simulation, companion orders were gutted, NPC schedules were gutted, NPCs barely reacted to the player, side quests were weak. I'm hoping that whoever pushed for this remaster understands what this means to people who care about those things.
To put this into perspective, there's an NPC that full on goes on vacation during a part of the year to a completely different city. Meanwhile Starfield vendors don't leave their desk... ever.
I don't need another bog standard RPG, we have dozens. Let this franchise remain the one where the world feels more alive.
I would say that, if I understand the changes, unarmed really got hit hard.
- Doesn't knock down as much.
- Can't be buffed by overbuffing fatigue anymore.
- Maxes out at 10.5 damage now.
I think it either needs a damage buff, or it needs to have a chance to knock down like it used to.
I wouldn't really talk about it, if there wasn't an unarmed skill. It's meant to be an option in the game, and it feels like it's even less of an option now.
HDR support and Spatial Audio
Spell: Levitation on Self for 100 seconds. (Youād essentially fly like youāre in NoClip, but being illegal to cast in cities)
I can already imagine it.
I guarantee others have said the same, but 2 handed weapons are extremely lackluster compared to the OG, there way too slow. Either buff the damage on them or fix the speed at which you attack. Ty

Reduce magnitude pf sun damage when standing in the shadow, or even in cloudy weather
I wish there was some sort of spell or something to escape dungeons. Backtracking through dungeons is time-consuming, especially since itās easy to get lost
Your fists do knock them down
Hand to hand deals ALOT of fatigue damage
And in the remaster, all npcs have insanely reduced fatigue pools
When you damage fatigue past 0 a unit becomes knocked down, and you effectively stun lock them wjrh your fists
Fists absolutely do not knock enemies down. I have 100 Hand to Hand and like you said, all it does is stun lock enemies at 0 fatigue. There is no knock down.
A lot of people want to be able to "forget" spells because it's crowding their spell list. I think it would be great to add an option to "hide" a spell and added to a "Hidden" tab. That way they get to keep the spell while also keeping their list of spells more organized.
I am sure this has been mentioned but Unique items should either
- Be max level to begin with as this keeps them feeling like a legendary piece of gear
- Scale with the players level if balance is the concern (although balance in a single player RPG is something that shouldnāt be on the devs but on the player)
- Be able to be taken to a smith to be upgraded to the next level on the scale
As it stands now if you run grab all the unique items at level 2 they will be made unimportant by about level 5 and once you have access to enchanting will be completely trivialized.
A couple more suggestions:
- Allow casting a spell while holding the block key like in the original
- Dropped swords on the ground are showing in their sheathes, they shouldn't be sheathed if they were just dropped out of an enemy's hand unsheathed....
Mounted combat would be nice. Horses can already be outclassed by having a high speed stat. Having to dismount for every wolf or bandit makes them rather inconvenient compared to just walking. Interacting while on a horse would be nice too.
Considering there's now 2 different horse armour DLCs, I would like to use my fashionable horse more.
I've got a fix for you, Bethesda. How about fixing the sync issue between PC and Steam Deck that no other game has issues with but yours?
I think dual wielding would be cool with the new combat system but maybe limit it to shortswords, daggers, and war axes. Level scaling for Baurus and Jauffre would be cool too.
Hand-to-Hand needs some kind of midgame and endgame investment. A way to spend coin/resources on strengthening it, in the same way you can invest in better weapons, new enchantments and poisons for blade and Block.
Personally, I'd make the 75 Skill Hand to Hand perk give you Shield% scaling on unarmed damage, so it synergizes with alteration and +Shield enchantments. You could use spells to buff your HtH and defenses at once, or maybe enchant a set of monk robes with Shield bonuses so you can run around unarmored.
More subdivisions in the inventory. Split alchemy between potions, posions, and ingredients, split misc between scrolls, books, soul gems etc...
To copy one of Dragon's Dogma's fantastic features, the ability to use a particular stone/mineral/spell/rare item at a cities graveyard, to resurrect dead NPC's, would be fantastic. It would take the stress away from losing NPC's to random encounters. It would supplement the feeling of a lack of NPC's in the world
Horse naming would be cool
I miss the abilities you'd get when reaching Journeyman, Expert, etc. in combat skills. Knockdown, paralyze, disarm... now paralyze is strictly on Marksman, Disarm is on H2H, and knockdown is completely out of the game, it seems.
Bethesda needs to address the performace with the remaster. The game runs so smooth when I'm indoors I get 70-80 fps, but the moment I walk outside it lags and brings it down to 30-40 fps and stutters a bunch
Or just get rid of sun damage and just make it give us debuffs instead who wants to be a vampire when it makes the game unplayable
Shield bash adds a whole new layer of shield and sword combat, I think you should be able to use this skill by apprentice or at the very least journeyman skill level
Nah its a fun idea actually, but walking in the shadows would be a cool workaround
Some things I'd really like to see are "Cleared" indicators for dungeons and a "New" tab in inventory that shows items acquired since the last time you opened the menu.
PLEASE fix the difficulty settings. The jump from adept to expert is insane.
Heyo, I'm here to add my voice to the group of people asking for better Hand to hand Scaling. As it stands it's just too weak compared to everything else.
See your body in first person itās 2025
I played the original oblivion on launch and I donāt think anybody would complain about seeing their body and checking out their cool armor and their nice boots.
For es6 I hope you slow the combat down and make it deadly ā ļø like KCD2 but a little more movement and climbing speed (skill based) for build differences, itās still madd fun and imagine magic and roll dodges
Not every game needs that weird fast jump around ADHD combat š be different or have different styles that are physics based like skate 3 lol
I donāt know if itās just me, but Iāve got my character leveled up pretty good and his movement speed and the amount of control he has in the air just feels super cartoonish And I love jumping on buildings and everything else acting like an assassin, but it just feels goofy. Thereās no ledge control slow down, simi stick or animation. You fly off the side of stuff a lot even if you could fully control your movement speed* it would still be quite difficult to be an accurate acrobatic killa.
I understand the original oblivion didnāt have anything like that but thatās a nice 2025 update and simple.
Bring back classic ES hairstyles and clothing that is fitted for a female body and put them on npcs. Itās so flaccid out here.
Redo low level npc gear only bosses get the nice stuff
Low level enemies still spawn in the world.
Modsā¦.. donāt make us wait for the 20th anniversaryās release thatās weakā¦. Have everything implemented and ironed out by then so you can sell the anniversary as a complete and functioning asset with a steel case physical release.
ES6 when? November 2026 lol so letās get the most bang for our buck with this remaster while we can because when ES 6 comes out all the modders are going to that šÆ
Blah blah thank you skynet A.I for reading this suggestion and dealing with all of my grammar issues š«”
Maybe some people already said this but re-add first person horse riding
Have unique magic items not scale with level, but instead give a means of upgrading enchantments of unique items you obtained at lower levels at altars of enchantment by using soul gems. Maybe you can even obtain the higher tier versions at lower levels, but it requires you to go through fights using soul traps and soul gems to properly upgrade them.
Allow us to exit npc dialogue... why doesn't escape key do anything
Integrating the ~18 years of community bugfixes from the Unofficial Oblivion Patch directly would be a HUGE value add for both console players and PC players
Some of the Daedric shrines are lacking subtitles.
In the inventory menu the player character's weapons are invisible unless you've just recently equipped them. I believe they always showed up in the original game unless i'm mistaken?
allow fast travel from anywhere or add an "exit" button in local map for conveniece
- Fix the terrain around Leyawiin so that ships could actually sail from the Imperial City to the ocean.
- Remove the brown filter.
you guys should add a way to completely remove the hud, if for no other reason than to take good screenshots
I suggest to add a unique perk to every skill when it is selected as a major skill. To make Major Skill selection more important since Minor Skills now also effect level ups.

The dialogue subtitles and general subtitles are currently tied to a single toggle. Every other Bethesda game (including the original Oblivion) allowed you to toggle them both individually.
update the quests with martin where you have to bring him a daedric artifact and aedric artifact by including more of the in game artifacts, such as mehrunes razor, staff of the everscamp, jyggalag's sword, etc for the daedric quest and brush of truepaint and the divine crusader relics for divine quest
- I think the UI needs to have better inventory sorting, maybe adding a key ring as well.
- Personally think the leveling needs to be adjusted in some way, or at least what level new weapon and armor tiers start spawning at. It feels a bit too fast.
š¢š¬ Return the local voice packs (French, Spanish, German, etc.)
Hard agree, please add a difficulty setting between adept and expert, the jump is ludicrous unless you're power gaming to oblivion and back
Some way to edit a characters appearance after leaving the sewers would be nice, like an in game way that doesnāt involve console commands. Also the ability to respec attributes and maybe even change class would be good, I often think I want to run a particular build and change my mind half way through, I donāt know exactly how a class change would work but attribute swapping at least would be something.
could make it so the activate key or spacebar will select continue in popups, so you don't have to move over to the enter key or click
Please make the inventory stay where it's at when we leave. It's annoying having to scroll all the way back to where we were because it resets to the top every time we open it. This is especially annoying when consuming soul gems, potions, repair hammers, alchemy tools(Which strangely are no longer at the top by default), etc. MAN, is it annoying.
Some way to remove quest items from inventory after completing quests (bug).
Specifically the Burma house upgrade notes and Ring of the Vipereye.
I'm on PS5 so unfortunately console commands are unavailable.

Add a legion questline for dlc. I want to join the legion, and make new imperial legion armor with new look and stats that rival daedric armor
That is a good point. Differentiate the Imperial Guard from the Imperial Legion. There is a unified Aesthetic established from Morrowind, Skyrim, and ESO with Imperial legion armor being heavily Roman inspired, yet Oblivion has barely any of it despite being the capital.
-
Make horse riding feel weighty, and not floaty. Would add much more satisfaction to traversal in this great world
-
Original color palette with vibrant blues and green. You're selling nostalgia, sell it right
-
Bring back female armor types. Why would you not keep them from the original
-
Female characters have male grunts during combat. Weird experience to have
literally playing now and the only thing thats bothering me is the inventory subcategories being removed, having all potions/ingrediants and apparatuses being mixed together can be a bit annoying, same with spells and scrolls being jumbled together
adding those back with a way to sort by which category is at the top of the page would make inventory management incredibly easier
Fixing the taking care of lex quest when interacting with the stranger, he says you need to come back in 24 hours and no matter how long you wait you cannot take it back as he says your bothering him
Get rid of all of the smile lines in the the character Creator too plz
During the Thieves Guild quest, there is a quest called 'Misdirection' to steal a staff from the archmages chambers. If you've already completed the mages guild questline there should be unique dialogue saying that you're the archmage and stealing it will be easy. Currently theres no unique dialogue or any change at all if you're the archmage when you do this quest. It feels a little weird doing this quest after the Mages guild.
Give the option for us to companions to carry items for us but make it realistic weight limit
toggle walk option for Controller !
Please make magic useable for stealth kills. Anytime I 1 shot someone with a spell in a completely undetectable way the person I kill sends a last second alert to every guard in the land. I wanna be a mage assassin for the dark brotherhood but only melee kills go undetected
Please put a new inventory tab that contains Keys and Maps. It's so annoying when trying to navigate through my inventory with so many maps and keys cluttering things up. Please also add an option to hide Keys and Maps from the full inventory, so that instead they can only be viewed from the dedicated Keys and Maps tab I mentioned. This will improve navigation a lot.
Enchanting table is bugged on Console it often locks me out of selecting an alternative skill on Fortify Skill
Should add better vampire skills make them actually good like Skyrim..
And also add the ability to become a werewolf
Adjust the mana cost for fingers of the mountain, it is impossible to cast at the highest levels.
Oh my god please fix Janus with the vampire cure,
Also mouse and keyboard support for ps5 would be great
please create modding tools
this
It would be nice for lower-spec machines if you were able to disable Lumen in display settings (on PC)
even better if the option looked something like this: [ On / Interiors Only / Off ]
I'd also like to see a "Classic Visual Filter" option (like MGS Delta and similar releases) that tries emulating the cooler blue/green tones of the original game more closely, as the default colour grading in the Oblivion remaster is quite warm and less vibrant compared to the original (which isn't bad, just a different vibe)
Lastly, PLEASE allow us to press highlighted buttons in pop-up dialog menus with the E (Interact) key... currently the only key bound to this is Enter, which isn't very ergonomic, and the action isn't exposed in the game's keybinds menu
immersive hud
I believe the dodge mechanic can improve. Currently, due to no I-frames and NPC tracking, you need your character's hurtbox to completely escape the hitbox of the opponent. This can only be achieved by dodging backwards, as a lateral dodge won't work due to enemies having perfect tracking. I offer two solutions to this problem:
-
Introduce I-frames to reward good timing. This is perhaps the easiest to implement solution, but can be less visually appealing.
-
Have dodging reduce, or even temporarily turn off, the NPC's tracking so their hitbox stays where they were aiming when you initiated the dodge.
The second solution would look better as you are actually moving out of the way of an attack, while simultaneously having the NPC need to face your current angle.
Please add a First Person Horse Mode like original Oblivion.
Please add a Creation Club for mods on console.
Please add a way to be a Werewolf in Oblivion Remastered.
Please add Killing blows (kill cam) like Skyrim to Oblivion Remastered.
Please do all the missing content for Oblivion in Oblivion Remastered.
Gonna throw in here some of the issues I've had with magic gameplay in the remaster that I would like addressed:
-
Spell deletion, I'm sure tons of people have mentioned it, we've missed it since Morrowind. Especially with the new experience system for magic skills (which is an improvement) that encourages players to make higher and higher level spells to train faster, it's outright egregious how packed the menu gets (I have 10 spells that were made just for skill training).
-
Add an internal recording of spell effects for the same purpose. Even with spell deletion mods, there was always a problem of carrying around a ton of spells you were never going to use just to have the effects available for spell crafting. The solution was to throw as many effects as possible into a few spells, then delete the rest to minimize clutter. Not great, if spell effects would instead be recorded when we gained access to them and remained available for crafting that would be a big improvement alongside spell deletion.
-
Revert magicka regeneration mechanics to match the original. The delay after casting and lack of magicka pool scaling have harmed the gameplay, slowing it down with no benefit resulting. While an over-reliance on potions and other methods of regeneration places a band-aid on the issue (I am consuming so many Flax Seeds), it also has the gameplay ramification of there being no reason to play anything but the Atronach birthsign on a magic character. It's all just not very "fun" at the moment, nor could it be called "well-balanced" in return.
The remaster has been a mixed experience for myself, though a rather pretty one. Good luck in your development.

Give players the option to buy a horse after getting out of the sewers near the start of the game.
Back another day:
One thing ive picked up is the 3rd person animation while holding a shield appears to be broken. There's no adjustment to the left arm animation compared to sprinting without equipment. So the character flails his arm widely as just as if he was holding nothing.
What makes this doubly strange is that there is an animation adjustment for torches. looks fine/ normal there. Maybe the shield sprint animation is missing or misplaced in installation?
Go to the stable outside the Imperial City, you get a free nag with horse armor iirc
-
Translate the game OR have its subtitles in full: sometimes NPCs talk to each other, and we don't get any subtitles until they speak to us.
-
Work on the NPCs: many are terribly ugly; I didn't expect that from a remaster.
-
Allow consoles to use mods.

Remove duping/exploits
A 'Use Item' option when looking at loot. Be able to eat, drink, equip, use soul gem and use spell tome etc
I agree with the above suggestion (canāt react)
I would also like the ability to use items from the loot screen, like when looting a dead body with a carrot on it
Okay, one thing that really bugs me is that sneak level never helps or eases jumping. Idk how many times Iāve needed to hop up a ledge and the clap of my armor alerts everyone in and outside the dungeon.
Official Mod support and tools or at the very least create some in depth tutorials or guides.
I don't know if it would help but longer loading screens so everything has time to load in.
more hotkeys more hotkeys more hotkeys more hotkeys
I suggest fixing the issues with the emperor outfit, namely the HUD one, and the bottom part not moving correctly one
DIFFICULTY SLIDERS. One for player damage. One for enemy damage to replace Novice Adept etc. 0.1x - 10x damage sliders for both player and enemy. 1 hit enemies but they can 1 hit you š
The option to toggle damage to the innocent/friendlies. Like in ESO. It's nearly impossible not to have friendly fire in the midst of large battles. I don't want to be taking out my allies by mistake.
Please add a second hotkey wheel for console player ! š Also, would be nice for the bug with the enchanting altar, preventing from using fortify attribute to be fixed š
Subtitles should be BIGGER, as they're small.
The game should have subtitles for EVERY dialogue. I keep finding NPCs, be it friendly or enemies, that talk to each other and no subtitles appear. Either you add ALL the subtitles or add back the translation for other languages, such as Italian, German and French.
The difficulty scaling is broken. On one mode I one-shot everyone, on the mode that is right after the enemies become spongy and extremely tanky.
Some textures are of really high quality (ivy) while other are low quality.
Let us see how much weight we're carrying while looting.
I second this, seems like the best solution to get the difficulty you want. Can keep the presets but have the bars underneath so you can customise.
Some hairstyles look to be clipping through the hood - a small fix, but could help.
The inventory text is absolutely tiny on PS5, in original game the text was big and very easy to read for people without perfect vision. Text for inventory, magic and other things is now less than 50% of original size. The game claims to be accessible, but it isn't, not when it is an struggle to read text when playing on TV. Not sure if this is due to text size settings not working on PS5, or is deliberate. Text size for inventory needs to be made much bigger. Ideally just put back the old inventory and map etc. New one is an chaotic mess.
First of all: Mod tools would be awesome.
Second of all:
Mannequins and a way to put those damn books on the bookshelves and things in the display cases.
Dear developers! Please add a STUNTING STRIKE TO THE ENEMY WHEN BLOCKING IN BATTLE for people and animals as it was in SKYRIM, this is a very important point! That is: you hold the block with a sword or shield, and simultaneously press the left mouse button, and then the enemy loses balance! š
While I can solve it for myself, the facts are that reversing the body types has remained one of the most downloaded and the most endorsed mod. Adding to this, polls have shown that the body type options are not popular.
Considering that the body type change has also at the minimum likely led to the unforeseen voice type mix-up, I argue the original game should just be reproduced in this regard.
I am sure this has been mentioned numerous times but please letās adjust the difficulty settings, adept is too easy and the jump to expert is much too difficult⦠something in between. Other than that really enjoying this remaster great job everyone involved!
Add French audio
Thereās a great Skyrim mod which gives the horse some carry weight for storing items. This might be worth adding to Oblivion Remastered, as it would mean players could explore a couple of dungeons before needing to haul all their precious loot back to a town and sell. Easy to implement, just adds a clickable option to the horse which then functions as a storage unit š“ Great for immersion and feels like a nice way to manage loot when out on the path āļø
allow dlss and fsr simultaneously
Add a "cleared" tag for cleared caves, ruins, forts.
-
Be able to delete spells
-
Better inventory
-
Be able to change hair/face
-
Bigger shortcut wheel and be able to move while the shortcut wheel is open
-
Add repeatable quests in different guilds/ inns because the game is empty after clearing all quests
Okay update there were ghost bodies in my house in anvil that wouldn't despawn, they finally did so not a bug just takes a minute.

Yet people hate load screens..so either ppl want them or they dont make up your minds.
Big posts incoming, biggest change that I would appreciate the most would be āsafeā containers having unlimited storage space without hiding your stored items until you take some out or alternatively having a capacity on each container so you know when it is full
Oblivion fixes
Intelligence - max Magicka should be somewhere between 400 to 600 - magicka per level should be between 4 to 6
Willpower - max fatigue should be 1.25x more
Agility - should regenerate fatigue 2 to 2.5x faster
Strength - should have max capacity of 800 - each point of strength is worth 8 weight
Endurance - max health should be 600 - health per level should be 6
Personality - doesnāt do anything
Luck - should take 1 point not 4
Should be a level cap once you reach 100 in all attributes - character level should automatically be updated to 100 or maybe says āmaxā
Speed - feels fine
Different Horse armor options(Leather, Iron, Glass, Dwarven, Orcish).
Official mod support for PC and console, akin to Creations for Skyrim.
Pt.1
- The difficulty selection should have a more granular difficulty curve. This could at the very least be in a custom difficulty menu on the difficulty selection screen to allow the player to adjust the damage done/taken.
- There are still some quite outdated triggers or lack of flags for xp gain. XP gain can be increased in some circumstances to make up for what I see as positive changes regarding the skill grinding that exists in the game that rewards some... pretty immersion breaking behavior. I don't care whether it requires a console command to toggle on or off to begin with. But here are my issues with the current xp gain system as it stands.
- Acrobatics gain through jumping outside of combat lets you speedrun combat levels. It would make more sense to allow only distance travelled to determine it, so players would have to gamify it through jumping in-combat or use speed increases. If it's possible, I suggest riding the same in-combat flag that the audio system uses to determine that status. It's also a bit counterintuitive that distance is not actually a requirement to gain xp in some cases. For example, swimming while being effectively stationary has no real check to stop it from being gamed. It would be nice if there was some kind of reward for entering a new area and getting a buff to your athletics gain for actually going out and traversing, or loading into a new area.
- Spell usage that provides no tangible benefit, seems quite silly to reward xp. Restore health at max HP provides a pretty easy to way to cheese it without actually progressing the game. Conjuration should give you xp based on your summon actually damaging an enemy, at the very least. Repeat for any spell cast that doesn't actually utilize the effect of the spell at all. This would require far more code to change, since it's not just riding an in-combat flag and would require checks on values at the time of casting.
Implementing āGrandmasterā level for each skill could be very cool. Each skill going up to 125 with a new unique perk. To level the skill past 100, you have to complete a difficult skill specific quest first.
Possibly 1 new skill in each specialization category -
Combat: Thrust Weapons (Two handed spear, one handed spear, Rapier) Higher levels increase damage and higher mastery could unlock new power attack effects.
Magic: Stave mastery (or enchanting like in Skyrim) - added/enhanced effects on staves. Longer charges on staves, enchant your own at higher levels etc.
Stealth: Horse riding (possibly swap thrust weapons and horse riding swap to stealth and combat respectively, depending on which perks are given at higher levels). Higher levels on horse riding could allow combat on horseback, lower fall damage, speed increases, spells on horseback etc.
Also if youāre thinking of adding DLC maybe another Daedra Princeās realm could be very cool, as the Shivering Isles is probably the best DLC ever! My vote would probably go to Sanguine or Hircine because I think their realms would be fascinating, but any of them would be great.
Maybe some new spells as well⦠slow time for alteration, a new element for destruction (Nature, Rock?), blind/confuse illusion, attack speed for Restoration and levitate self/enemy for Mysticism, could be good ideas to startā¦
Thanks very much for reading! I posted some of these ideas before but wanted to make sure you read them. All the best.
I wish to be able to get married š„²

- You could anti-grind players grinding block/armorer/armor skills when they stand next to multiple weak enemies that pose no threat of killing them by requiring a damage threshold to reward xp, but honestly, this feels like one of the ones that could just stay since it's the least rewarding to try and change for the time being. It's one of those "let them have their fun" ones to me.
- A lighter change to alchemy leveling is to reward the usage of higher value alchemy ingredients, because this in turn increases the importance of combat acquired alchemy ingredients that traders might not have, don't grow in the wild, and require a combat encounter to gather. So you have more of a reason to go out and kill something or buy expensive ingredients instead of running around for 10 minutes spamming the creation of low effort ingredient potions. To elaborate, you shouldn't be punished per se for going out and gathering a bunch! That leads to combat often times. But it can make you decide to avoid combat altogether when your only aim is to level your alchemy skill, and combat feels more annoying that rewarding when that's your goal.
- From my understanding, mercantile was changed from being value agnostic, to factoring in the value. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I appreciate this change! It's exactly the kind of thing I like. It's just an objectively better quality of life fix.
- Sneak and security have some egregious lacks of flags that let you level these up quicker than most skills in the game. However, the security side of things is partially due to a known issue with how tumblers reward xp.
I think having a mirror in player houses that allowed us to edit appearance would be good.
A miscellaneous quest system would be great too so we'll always have something to do. Like the bounty board in fallout 4. Could just have a quest board in the imperial city.
Not many people are going to like this, but can you add more armor sets? As a light armor user I feel like there's not many options
This might be a niche but I would love to see sun fire spells that were previously added in dawnguard skyrim be reworked in oblivion remastered possibly thru a DLC similar to dawnguard perhaps. I know knights of the nine has some paladin vibes but I always wanted holy spells to be expanded on especially other spell types like the way we have awesome spell mods in skyrim like what Kittytail and Darenii modders create with there themes
New Quest*
A Dwemer Ruin was found alongside the border of Skyrim i dont recall all the lore or id go ham on a story but theres a good potential for something to tie into Skyrim there
Deutsche Sprachausgabe wie im Original wƤre gut.
I played the original Oblivion back in 2006 and I just enjoyed it plainly.
I'm happy you are keeping everything as it was with the remaster.
The ONLY ONE THING is that I am a more skilled gamer now and I don't enjoy playing Adept difficutly as it's too easy for me now.
Then Expert difficulty is way to difficult and UNREALISTIC.
This is making me not want to play anymore. It would be very sad that I couldn't get to relive this game just because of this issue.
I know a lot of people are experiencing the same issues. You know it too hahaha!
Please find a middle ground and let us enjoy this masterpiece!
Thanks
I agree, the difficulty changes are far too drastic (bring back the slider?)
In OG oblivion I found ~63% to be a good difficulty
Invisibility, Chameleon, Light spell visual bugs
add official support for mods, so that you can install a mod translator and play in those languages āāthat have been forgotten.
-Light spells seem to only work in 3rd person but can be seen in 1st person once switching out
-Light inside buildings does not match time of day particularly from windows
-Getting on horseback causes a small glitch
Really need a press (button) to cancel shot / undraw bow. Having to sheath and unsheath is rather clunky for 2025.
Favorites button, and or better filters for inventory, especially for spell and soul gems
Separate the damage taken and damage dealt multipliers in difficulty to be separate sliders :)
A lot of these balance suggestions sound terrible ngl no offense, at the end of the day its still a remaster not a remake
I believe the sorting people would like is based on item type within the categories, like armor sets grouping together instead of hunting down each named item and all their scrolls and soul gems being grouped instead of either by name orrr...weight/value?
Please quickly please find a tweak for the difficulty. Cant be too hard. Would be happy if its 1 patch just for that. I really want to play but this is stopping me from doing so. I am itching for it.
I get a CTD when quicksaving around 1 out of 20 times but it's super annoying, wouldn't mind quick saving being a bit slower if it's not going to cause an issue
Hey the chameleon enchanting is kinda bugged. I had 2 rings for chameleon I took them off and now I'm still invisible.
I only have 2 suggestions that I would love seeing in the game (as I can think of right now):
- A way to change appearance (not race) like Skyrim does would be cool.
- I would also love to see the unobtainable clothing / armor to be available as well. I know PC-players can get most of them with console commands but it would be cool to have them in the game "legally", for example the Knight of Order-armor set with all pieces equippable individually (helmet, torso, gauntlets, leggings, boots).
Give all weapons good animations like Axe has.
A "new" page on inventory screen to show what you've recently picked up would be nice!
Improve the texture size. 120GB is a bit bloated; you could release a separate, free, high-quality texture pack for people who would like that and maybe get the size of the game down to around 80GB.
Move Savlian Matius and the Kvatch Guards to the Refugee Camp after completing The Battle for Castle Kvatch. That way, you no longer have to walk all the way to the castle for Allies for Bruma.
Add the option to remove custom spells again.
Make spell tomes appear only once; thereās no need to learn the same spell twice.
Some Imperial forts could be occupied by the Imperial Legion after the player clears them of hostiles.
Give Ushnar's Skinned Hound a few follower commands: wait here, return home, follow me
Make Selmo the baker actually deliver his famous sweetrolls around town (without crashing the game).
Add radiant quests for the main factions after completing their main questline.
Add the option to improve unique armor and weapons to your level by paying an armorer.
Add fishing, or maybe a card game you can play with innkeepers, with unique cards you can collect around the world, like in New Vegas or The Witcher 3.
Add female armor thatās missing.
Make the Pale Lady friendly if the player is a vampire during Lost Histories, or if they helped out Hassildor before.
Fix some NPCs that never leave their homes, like Jirolin Doran, or the entire village of Waterās Edge.
Restore some cut content from the original game, like the Imperial Express quest or the ogre quest with Jirolin Doran. Maybe even add the holidays that were once planned.
If an expansion is on the table, Stirk would be a cool place to visit.
I have it for PS5.
Make it so that you can zoom out in local map mode, instead of getting kicked back out to the world map when you try to zoom out.
Better yet, make an option to go directly into the local map, instead of having to zoom all the way in on world map first.
Fix the bug that makes vampires go bald.
Fix the bug when you're doing alchemy, when if you press the button to see the filters, after adding ingredients and going back into the filters, if you move the cursor up or down the filters list, it skips over many filters, making you have to waste time going back to the currently selected filter if you want to deselect it.
Just another bug fix in that the Ring of the Vipereye is still classified as a quest item and canāt be removed from your inventory, despite it being a quest reward instead
Yeah I also can't re-equip the vipereye after unequipping it for some reason
I confirm what many have written:
There is** too much difference between the adept and expert modes**. A mode in between the two would be perfect, a middle ground. Adept too easy, expert too difficult. I hope this is fixed soon... the rest can wait (ps. add creation club š )
Hi guys the game seems great and I loved the OG Oblivion but I need my mod support and the toolkits to go with it, that's what I love about Bethesda games and that's why I usually buy without looking even further at it as I know you do a good job and the few short comings the game could have can be addressed by modders. This is the only TES/Fallout I don't own because of that.
I think a way to fix the level scaled weapons would be to just have a smith or something to where you can maybe get some materials or pay gold to have them improve quest reward weapons up to your level up to level 25. It would solve the problem of getting weapons too early without having to overhaul the level scaling system. Also a face sculptor and more hairstyles and adornments for all races would be amazing!
Please keep in mind that while this channel is available for general feedback, if you are experiencing an issue in game or would like to share your feedback/suggestion directly, we ask that you please submit a feedback ticket with our support team here: https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287
difficulty slider made way more sense
Someone probably mentioned these 2 things before:
After all those years I'd LOVE to see GOOD third person camera & combat ā¤ļø Yes, there are mods but those aren't what I have in mind. I'd like to see an official implementation with a high quality.
Titles I've played recently with great third person camera and combat: Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2, Assassin's Creed: Shadows, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
An implementation on a level of one of these games is my dream for The Elder Scrolls.
Also: š©šŖ voice over! I don't know about all the other languages but I'm pretty sad that the original german voice lines aren't in the game anymore. A renewed localization would be awesome, too! (I'm a german voice actor myself and absolutely willing to do a casting btw. š¤ As long as no AI-stuff is involved).
add a way to archive spells
Like add a bind that allow you to remove any spells you donāt want into an archive list, and allow you to re-add them to your spell list if you accidently removed one or change your mind, so that I can find my spells quickly rather then scrolling through 20+ low level spells that Iām never going to use
Expanding lore and more skills. Elder scrolls online classes with spells. Dragon knight. Arcanist. Warden. Necromancer. Templar, sorcerer and nightblade. Would be insane for building upon the lore of ESO
PSA that the āAhdarjiās Heirloomā quest for the thieves guild is still bugged so it can be easy to miss a step and lock yourself out of the entire questline without warning
Please make leveled items scale up in level with your character. It's not fun to have to wait until higher levels before doing certain quests if you want the most powerful version of an item. I'm super happy with the new leveling system and this change would just be the cherry on top.
Please fix the issue with saves being bugged and crashing the game on new auto saves or loading. Game is unplayable for many.
I'd just like to see the clothing colors corrected is all. Some of the color changes don't reflect the colors they are named. Some of my old favorite clothing options from back in the day are completely different colors now.
Please put the hotkey wheel back on the d-pad for controller
I feel like the levelling is too fast!
This is the biggest issue by far and they need to fix it ASAP, but one thing I did just find is that having a follower will balance the difficulty out enough to make it somewhat enjoyable on expert. Obvs we want to be able to adventure alone, but this i think will tide me over until they patch it
Spellmaking and Enchanting cap
- The duration and magnitude cap in spellmaking and enchanting altars could be set higher. For example, the maximum custom calm/frenzy/command spells cap out at level 25, but enemies can level beyond that, so these spells end up becoming useless later in the game.
Hello good, as a suggestion I would say to fix or (add if it were the case) the problem of the general subtitles, since many times they talk to you around the world or in missions and the subtitles do not come out, this can really annoy the experience of many users that unfortunately we do not know so much English and the subtitles of our respective languages are not shown in their entirety.
-For example, in my game many of the daedric statues quests have no subtitles, or in the main quest, when the leader of the blades gives the speech when arriving at the temple of the ruler of the clouds, also many NPCs around the world don't have either.
All in all, I would love it to be fixed, as I really love the game and am a big fan of the franchise and want it to be as enjoyable as possible for me as well as for many people who have already complained about this on forums.
Thank you very much and sorry for the translation of this text.
All character heights are currently bugged and the exact same regardless of race. As a wood elf I tower over my fellow bosmer and as a high elf I'm no taller than an imperial. When mounting on a horse this is sometimes corrected, but then the taller races are unable to fit into certain locations like the stairwell at northern goods and trades in Chorrol leading to some potent game breaking scenarios.
Having the chameleon enchant on is quite buggy. The visual effects are always changing, for example, when I leave or enter somewhere either my full character and weapons have the visual effect or its just my character and not the weapons. Sometimes the coloring on my character becomes completely bugged out, my character will appear black and the armor equipped will be very dark and oversaturated.
Change the Fast Travel location of Frostcrag Spire to be in front of the entrance. Doing the sprint manually each and every time is annoying.
Physics has been removed on a number of items, such as scales, hanging lanterns etc. these details matter, and should not be ignored. Please fix them.
If possible could you tell me how or remove the pop up that says my cpu is too weak/ old to run the game? Iām getting better performance then some of my friends with my 7700k compared to their newer cpu with more cores and this pop up every time I start the game is annoying
Pls make trolls trolls again... they look monkey and aren't even green š
Please adjust or add options in Settings for the world scaling - so that we donāt get weaker (relative to enemy types) as we level up.
Also, unique weapons should either scale with our level or just be given at the highest tier (so we donāt have the postpone quests to get the best gear).
as a little thing, i'd love to see deluxe set themed arrows
it feels a bit jarring when the only item on my character that doesn't fit the set is the quiver with the arrows
Please add local voice packs or bring back the original Dub at least for others language German, Italian, French.... And make subtitles bigger
fix the difficulty asap please, either a difficulty slider like in the og game, or changing the multipliers for expert/adept. expert is way too easy, adept is just fighting bullet sponge enemies while dying in 3 hits.
-
Add a "cleared" tag for cleared caves, ruins, forts, camps.
-
Add more armors and weapons, maybe even some DLC?
-
Mod support on consoles, even if it will be something like Creation Club
-
Better equipment ui, with separate tabs for books / keys etc
-
Better contrast, sometimes game looks too bright but also too dark at the same time
-
More perks
Add a dlc where you can own and rebuild kvatch
Maybe also have an option to turn on old school d-pas shortcuts while playing with a controler, rather than having a submenu open that interrupts the gameplay slightly
let me continue blocking while I have the radial shortcut menu open
It's been said time and time again. While I know the item leveling system of being locked in at your level upon receipt is part of the original design, having item's stats update upon reaching the next leveled tier would be a huge qol change and wouldn't "break the game". I'm not saying give us a level 30 chillrend right off the rip or anything but allow it to become a level 30 once we get there.
- Barber to change character features bit not race. Also add more hair choices
- A button for local maps instead of zooming in.
- Some new armor sets for all playstyles. Ex. DB armor is pre enchanted and leather is crap late game. A new enchantable set would be cool
- A way to scale up weapons, whether automatic or through a process similar to knights of nine gear
- Allow us to place books in bookshelves
- Daggers could use a smaller base damage increase
- Armor mannequins would be cool but probably very unlikely
- Put keys on a key ring (sub menu within the menu) so they don't clutter the inventory
I think hirrus clutumnous and gogron-gro-bolmog should have their original voices, the original voices had a lot of emotion to them. Hirrus was one of two imperials in new sheoth and gogron was the only orc/nord in the sanctuary, so they felt unique already.
If you have a Bug to report, we are currently only looking for them through the site. You can report a bug at https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/716
Claymore swing speed shouldn't be the same as the Warhammer. As well as the fine steel weapons do not all have a unique texture as in the original.
(There isn't an option for this in the bug reports.)
Oh and the arch mage robes REALLY need to be enchanted. In the mages guild quest line it doesnāt make sense that the robe of the apprentice is better than the arch mage robes. And some more robe options would be nice too
LOOTING: Add a way to loot "stacks" of items quicker.
==Context==
At present, looting stacks of items from corpses (such as arrows) requires two clicks: one to select the item and a confirmation that you want to take them all.
==Pitch==
It would be great to get a āquick-lootā bind to take a whole stack of something. SHIFT+Click would be an intuitive keybind from other games to take a whole stack of arrows at once and bypass the selection slider.
Please do not ping moderators unless it is an emergency. Also, this channel is for suggestions only. If you have run into bug, please let us know https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/716
Official mod support please

Official mod support
Make ragdoll great again
Be able to delete spells
Be able to change hair/ face
Better inventory
Be able to move while the shortcut wheel is open
Add repeatable quests in different guilds/inns
Be able to be vampire again
Iām not sure if there are plans for DLCs in the future but if there are a look into Black Marsh would be incredible - since they were closing gates themselves being part of oblivion gate assaults with argonian squadrons would be pretty cool.
I've seen everything else I'd like to see covered numerous times so here's a new-ish one:
Please remove the absolutely insane stat buffs from Yellow Team Arena combatants. The entire point of Light Armor is speed but the heavy armored Arena fighters still move faster than me with maxed out speed and that makes absolutely 0 sense.
Please keep in mind that while this channel is available for general feedback, if you are experiencing an issue in game or would like to share your feedback/suggestion directly, we ask that you please submit a feedback ticket with our support team here: https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287
DLC to visit Summer Set Isles (I say this because of how many NPC's talk about the status of the isles)
Would love HDR for sure
Please change the daedric claymore model to be more like the old one, as in giving it back its cross guard, the new daedric weapons look terrible
About the Siren's Deception quest, I wish we'd be able to make a choice instead of being forced to kill the gang, joining them sounded way more fun than getting tricked into doing the local law enforcement's job
Being able to zoom out on local maps would be good
Separate tab for local maps for that matter
Pop-up informational box about potions/poisons doesn't always show (or takes forever to show). I have to wait what feels like forever as I'm scrolling through items before I can see which of my dozen different damage health poisons lasts the longest.
Blood potions for vampires
Difficulty desperately needs tweaking/fixing between adept and expert
I think the max charge/number of uses on custom enchantments should be able to be improved upon further, from what I can tell enchantments max out with grand soul gems, but enchantments should also scale higher with the mysticism skill, making mysticism more useful and making enchant based classes more valid, unique weapons like Dawnfang/Duskfang, Umbra, etc. should stand on the fact that they have their own unique enchantments that you canāt make normally, not that theyāre just intrinsically better in every way than player made enchantments. Dawn/Duskfang has somwhere around 80 uses with enchantments that if I put on a weapon I made myself would have half that even though Iām using a grand soul gem and have mysticism maxed out, but it doesnāt need to be that much better because it already has a unique appearance and a cool gimmick.
the run animations need to be changed in my opnion
I feel like the running animation could be kept the same for the initial sprint, and then the character runs in a different more natural looking one afterwards
CLOUD GAMING
Implement the use of touch controls for Cloud Gaming so that it isnāt limiting
Psvr2 support and I will pay five million pesos and ten euro extra
zooming out local maps would be great for sure
PCVR
Heterochromatic eye options!
3 things that I think would be really good for quality of life (that I haven't seen mentioned) are:
- almsivi intervention
- mark & recall and, most importantly,
- allowing attribute and skill scaling to work beyond 100.
Fortify skill is useless when your skill is at 100, making your possible character builds fewer. Luck almost becomes useless at endgame when you have everything at 100 and lucks skill scaling becomes moot. Master difficulty, while not impossible, would become much more enjoyable if you could stat and skill break with things like really powerful potions or super powerful spells.
Suggestion for new DLC: The recontstruction of Kavatch where you become the count, you also get a statue. Now, I'm talking like in Tales of Vesperia where you just donate gold and a city gets built, not a fallout style build because I don't know that is fesable. You could also have a variety of options of building styles, totally up to you. A lot of the assets like the castle, the temple are there! This could be entirely post main quest as well. Can tie another questline in it like the remnants of the mythic dawn assault the newly built town for revenge on you specifically. You could go further, establish a thieves guild and or dark brotherhood outpost in the city, perhaps even have those as an option INSTEAD of the mages and fighters guild so it can be like, an evil city. Other than that, just new dlc in general... the only thing I don't like is the spell selection UI, I wish I could have different tabs for each school instead of how it is layed out now.
An option to hide control hints. I donāt like seeing āe takeā or āe openā every time I look at an item or door.
Console Mod Support
itās needed
Kvatch Rebuild Official
Put down the Dark Brotherhood quest
Option for Grey Prince's quest ending
Decrease damage rate for light armor.
Yeah luck is dumb.
You need a lot of it for it to make an effect, but by the time you CAN have a lot of it, you're skills are nearer cap and it doesn't have an effect.
If you want a luck build, you have to pick thief sign and put it as a favored attribute. That will start you off with effectively a 7 pt bonus on all skills.
However, as with all skill buffs, you don't get the perks.
At least we can put more than 1 point into luck when we level now, so you'll want to put all of your points into it for a bit, giving you 1 pt to all skills each level at the sacrifice of all your other stats.
So, it's really only good at any point in the game if you just fortify luck.
Keep in mind, attributes typically scale at a 75% of skill rating on most values, while luck scales 40% bonus on skills. So you're getting 3 pts in luck instead of 4 in 3 attributes. You're forgoing 3pts of flat buff on, potentially, melee and range and some non-combat skill for a 1.2 flat buff on everything.
And you start to lose this benefit once your skills get to 60 and above.
Yall have to fix the difficulty. Iām actually avoiding playing the game rn till itās fixed because adept is laughably easy and expert is laughably hard. From what I gather everyone feels the same on this. Just put the slider difficulty back so you can get it right in the sweet spot for you. Anyone playing on harder difficulties seems to be cheesing aspects of the game or using some dumb meta to cope. I want to be able play the game in a natural way without having to cheese or manipulate aspects of the game. I want to play in a relaxed way without it being brain dead easy or unpleasantly difficult
-
Substantially Better Performance -> Before adding anything new, performance needs to be a priority. Currently, this is one of the worst running UE5 games in the industry. Users should not be expected to own 5090s and 9800X3Ds just to run the game at a barely stable 60-80 fps without stuttering or generated frames. This harms users who suffer from motion sickness especially.
-
Dark Menu UI / Transparency Options -> To reduce eye strain, especially for players with higher sensitivity to light or those using HDR monitors, a dark mode or transparency options would be beneficial. This is especially important for players who game at night.
-
***Quick Loot Menu ***-> Similar to the systems in Fo4 and Starfield, why interrupt gameplay to loot items when a more seamless solution is already in place? It would improve the flow of the game and minimize interruptions.
-
Official Modding Tools/Support -> There are thousands of existing mods that could be ported with minimal effort.
-
Implementing Pre-Existing Community Patches -> Many of the gameplay and game mechanic issues have already been addressed by the community for over a decade or so. Taking a page from No Man's Sky, consider providing players with the option to enable or disable certain features via sliders and toggles. This way, players can choose to enjoy the updated experience or stick to the original vanilla Oblivion if they prefer.
Please report bugs at https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287
I'm sorry if this was already suggested but can we get a hotkey to zoom in the local map rather than scrolling all the way each time we open the map screen? Currently it's very annoying.
Also, idk if this is a bug but the scamps during Whom Gods Annoy quest kind of just...appears standing when respawning. There's no smoke or effects like I remember in the OG (correct me if I'm wrong).
I agree with others, Oblivion needs official VR support. I love PCVR but would prefer PSVR2
I agree: We need modding tools and documentation please.
Please add variable movement speed. Original Oblivion let you move within a range of speeds between walking and jogging. Being locked to minimum and maximum speeds is jarring.
Also, allow deletion of unwanted spells. Thanks!
@thorn whale Then something partially inspired by what Evangelos recently said: there should be at least warnings if the player tries to drop or sell equipped or hotkeyed items. Also, during the 'Aid for Bruma' quest, there should be an option to ask npcs about locations of oblivion gates or get the location outright.
Coop please. I would absolutely adore being able to play through Oblivion with a friend as a companion. Maybe they start as another prisoner in the same cell
One thing I would really like to see is Mounted Combat, this was teased back in 2005 but wasn't implemented in the original release of Oblivion, despite many of the armour styles (like steel) being very obviously intended for mounted warfare.
Please keep in mind that while this channel is available for general feedback, if you are experiencing an issue in game or would like to share your feedback/suggestion directly, we ask that you please submit a feedback ticket with our support team here: https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287
Be able to see ingredients effects when hovering it before pick up
Could we get the general subtitles working sometime please?
Subtitles for daedric shrine quests would be nice and as others have said completion indicators on oblivion gates and other dungeons
Fix the bug making the player fall and being sttuck to the ground. And once it happen one time, often during the game you are teleported on the ground on the same spot and you can''t move, can't open the menu
A shader Comp notification would be nice after the intial shader comp. I have to look at my Cpu to see if its done
could be cool if trainers had a different line if they can't train you anymore. just had one say "I can show you a few things" when they couldn't. could say "there's nothing more I can teach you" or something. not super important, but would help. also better general subtitles!
I think a rework to Defense would be great, even if it's not necessary. Defense caps at 85 right now, which makes Blunt's lv 50 and 100 effects pretty much useless, as well as making most high level sets have a ton of redundant defense. The Lord Sign as well becomes redundant.
Defense could be a logarythimic growth rather than 1% per point up to 85. We could never reach 100% since it's logarythmic, but we would always be gaining survivability as defense goes up.
Obv we can get 100% reflect, but that doesn't help against archers, and it's not a cheese that should be central imo
@scenic onyx Right - the settings seem fairly ineffectual, especially on Very Large Screens.
Allow to bet more gold in arena
I would suggest only one thing ā making DLC based on the canceled Oblivion's spin-off for PsP
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion_(PSP)
Yes, it was planned as a standalone game, but it can be made in the form of «Prey: Mooncrash» or «Dishonored: Death of the Outsider»
It would be fantastic from the point of view of closing old gestalts, and from the point of view of players, since it would be completely new content, despite the fact that the game was not released even with an official release date at the time
Day two of me on my hands and knees begging for a difficulty slider or at least something sensible between adept and expert.
My take on why Mod Support isn't crucial, right now.
While I fully support the idea of mod support in the long term, I donāt believe it should take priority over core polish, QoL and patches right now. Relying too heavily on modsāespecially this earlyārisks undermining Bethesdaās responsibility to their game.
This is an official remaster. Players shouldn't be expected to rely on community fixes just to restore cut features, missing polish, solve certain issues etc.
Eg. I donāt want to have to download one mod just to fix the** **Dark Brotherhood door, another to restore physics to hanging lanterns, and another to bring back unique sounds for each container. These are small details that were part of the original experience, which have now been sullied or removed entirelyāand we shouldnāt be required to piece together a patchwork of mods to make the remaster feel complete again.
Bethesdaās *own *attention to detail is what makes their games last. The better the official state of the game, the stronger the foundation for mods anyway.
For the love of Mara! HDR support please š
Morrow-Wind: Remaster.
An option to always go to system page when you press start, or menu, or whatever that button is called on the xbox controller. That way you can quickly quicksave on a controller.
I have a suggestion. One of the most unique features of Oblivion was the radiant AI. It was a huge selling point back in the day, and apparently had to be toned down a ton because it was too autonomous to a game breaking degree. Somewhere in the Bethesda archives is a version of Oblivion with the original uncapped radiant AI implemented. So my suggestion, as a patch feature that is a disabled by default menu option that comes with a warning before enabling, is to allow the original unchecked radiant AI. Attempts were made by mods to recreate it but nobody got it 100% right. It would be a feature mostly for fans of the original who don't care about it breaking things. Fans who just want to play in the world they love and embrace the jank.
This should be priority number 1 in my opinion. Adept makes you virtually unkillable with minimal defensive investment, while expert turns every single enemy into a mini boss battle š .
Please discuss suggestions in #oblivion-chat
To bypass the level cap, the ability to legendary skills could be interesting. Possibly have a shrine in temples to reset a skill to 20 once it reaches 100.
Doing this will let the player add +2 to the attribute tied to that skill. So if I legendary my mysticism then I'll get a bonus of +2 to my intelligence each time I repeat it.
the gray fox's cowl of nocturnal doesn't fit right on Breton heads and covers most of the eyes compared to other races. also please add crossbows in a creation club or small dlc type update plz plz plz plz plz
Some of the facial animations are very creepy, maybe some of the conversions to ue5 facial animations were not successful and need another pass?
I mean id also like to keep the perks but i dont really care as long as my character progression isnt finished when i havent even done 1/3 of the locations in the main game nvm the expansion its silly to have half your attributes start at 50 and the cap be 100 when there is so much to do in this game nut yea if we go the legendary route i would like there to be some benifit from it other than allowing you to keep leveling
Please please would you very kindly consider adding a world map marker for the player's horse, so it can always be returned to
During umbacano's questline "the high fane". There's a Khajiit called S'razirr you can persuade to fight Claude Merric with you. He has some missing dialogue after the fight. (maybe since he has a new voice actor?)
He would make an excellent treasure hunter follower! Some simple follow me, wait here and dismiss commands after the quest is over and deal has been honored :3
There's so little I would change in the game, tbh... but, I think one thing I'd like back from Skyrim is the ability to make Level 100 skills Legendary. Also, I do miss blacksmithing. Hard to think of much more than that that I'd change in the game though.
Would love to see unplayable armors added in the future. Palace Guard/Mythic Dawn etc for consoles
Suggestion: enhanced version of Clairvoyance that transforms the player into the Clairvoyance projectile, removing the ability to control the player, until the projectile collides with an obstacle that the player could not normally pass without interaction.
Please review the pinned messages.
Mod support on console just like fallout 4 has
Suggestions/Requests:
-
The ability to turn off markers for the compass, or even just turn the compass off.
-
A difficulty between Adept and Expert (Adept is too easy, but Expert is too hard to be fun)
-
A toggle of some kind so we can open the map straight to the dungeon we're in without having to zoom in every time
Make it so feeding as a vampire fully resets the timer for stage progression, had way too many nights where i feed, wait a couple ingame hours , then i proceed to the next stage. its annoying as hell
⢠Completed icon for areas you've completed.
⢠Re-customize your characters appearance
⢠PSVR2 mode and yes I would pay for the upgrade.
⢠Rename and delete created spells
⢠Dual welding weapons and spells
⢠Console mod support
⢠More difficulty options
⢠More slots for the quick menu
The fire land mines in oblivion gates are too OP. They can one shot you despite 125 armor, and multiple fire enchanted protection.
Plus projectile based spells seem to have no affect unlike the Original game. Only arrows.
Is that a bug, I don't think so because it happens every run.
Err... Something i thought about during my last og oblivion playthrough.
I actually turned off the music in original oblivion during some of my later playthroughs because of the rapid shifting between combat and exploration music. I remember thinking that my experience was a lot exciting/scarier when the music shift didnt give away the enemies location, which was kinda cool.
Maybe a dynamic music toggle, which changes the music based on combat situation (as in, you've taken some damage and the enemy has not/ whether its actually a tough fight or not)
I just dont think i need the battle theme interrupting Jeremy Soule's exploration themes every time im spotted by a mudcrab š
This is of course, according to just my own taste. There's lots of meme value to a over dramatized mudcrab š
A odd suggestion- having a means of having objects be vertical/ shifting them in the air while holding them?
I always want to decorate my house with neat trinkets I find on my travels š¦
2handed weapons attack at 1/3 of speed in remaster but deal same damage i think, this should be adjusted if true
Please add a higher resolution world map, it gets fairly blurry when you zoom it in.
Would love per object motion blur, I thinks its built into UE5, camera motion blur sucks, but per object makes fast moving objects feel fast
Enemy levels being higher the further you are from main roads (the roads shown on the map). Seems like it'd be the most immersive scaling solution
"If you've got to travel, by the Nine Divines stay on the roads!"
Attack (and spell casting) cancelation when blocking, possibly unlocked at a higher block level.

Suggestion: let us use magic while riding on our mounts! š“ šŖ
Replace the sprint animation
The current sprint feels jarring. Swap it out for a subtler, momentum-based runāmore in line with the originalās fluid movement.
Restore the classic lockpicking feel
The remakeās lockpick minigame lacks the tactile feedback of the OG. Reintroduce the tension-and-release mechanic (or dial-based puzzle) so every successful pick feels earned.
Rebalance the difficulty curve
Lower difficulties are trivialized, while higher settings turn enemies into unkillable tanks. Aim for a middle ground: enemies should present a fair challenge without dragging out every encounter. Also bring back OG loading screens!
adding the creation club (wait wait wait dont kill me guys) would be a cool addition nice way to add some of these cool ideas and make profit off them. This could in turn allow these ideas to be proposed easier to bethesda as a whole. I saw some users asking for new stuff like Lynchthrophy and new spells or weapons stuff like that. I feel that just adding the creation club to the game and doing something similar to skyrim anniversary edition where you bundle the club content into a digestible price tag after so many add ons. I personally like the creation club I'm not the biggest fan of downloading files from random sources I love the offical content. It could also help the game be viewed as a major win/ immensely profitable maybe leads development onto other remaster projects maybe a Fallout 3 remaster.
I think this is an excellent idea
60 fps on xbox series s. Play like that is a pain for the eyes, and also fix graphics issues.
My suggestion would be to give some kind of indicator on the map once you completed a dungeon. Maybe gray it out or put āclearedā underneath
the game is preventing you from investing your attribute points over 100, buffs such as fortify strength only gives you extra carry capacity not damage when you have your base STR at 100. same as fortify any other skills/attribute besides speed/acrobat/athletic. Luck boost your skill stats in the background and its useless if you maxed out all your skills at 100.
So I am here to request to remove the cap on attributes specifically (maybe provide diminishing returns past 100 for some attributes like strength and agility, willpower and speed)
Boost the damage of hand to hand on harder difficulties. (Above adept). That's all I ask. And if a nerf is needed decrease the chances of disarming enemies.
difficulty should be per character
sneaking mechanics could be improved a bit. kind of strange to shoot a fireball at someone, hide completely out of sight, yet they instantly know where you are. I think it was different in skyrim. you could shoot someone and they become confused and look around a bit, before giving up and saying "must've been the wind" or something
I think someone else mentioned, but it would be good to have the option of adding the soundtracks of Morrowind and Skyrim into the mix. I used to be able to drag and drop all that music into the proper folders (Battle, Dungeon, Explore, Public) and it would work, but that doesnt work anymore
i know im in the minority but psvr2 of this game would be nice.. or skyrim psvr2 lol
Boost the damage of everything on harder difficulties*
Allow Argonians to swim faster underwater. Maybe even add the ability for them to fish underwater as well like in Skyrim.
Please I beg I pray and beg allow us to lower the sensitivity of relative aiming/scope on controller without turning the broken aim assist on
Please please please fix inventory UI - subcategories/sort by type is desperately needed so Iām not scrolling through a huge list every time I need something - itās especially bad with potions and soul gems. I think both could have their own page in the inventory.
would also be nice to have a sorting option of most recently picked up - so when you have to read a piece of paper for a quest or something, or picked up something on accident, you can find it right away.
A favorites feature or larger quick access wheel would also be great - as a mage im using the limited slots all for spells. Would be nice if there were extra slots for my sword/potions/etc
really like othersā requests for map marker updates when you enter or complete a dungeon/elf ruin/cave - with how repetitive all the maps are, itās really hard to remember where Iāve explored already
-
On the map an indicator for having actually entered/cleared a dungeon would be nice. Heck even just having them unlock as white on the map when you get close, not brown & fast travel unlocked until you actually enter them would be better.
-
The ability to forget/delete/archive spells.
-
Sub-categories to separate stuff like Alchemy ingredients & Alchemy Tools. Having Alchemy Tools & Repair Hammers always at the top/bottom.
Oh, btw, I was hoping for survival mode for a challenging experience in Oblivion Remastered, like the ones from Skyrim.
Think of having Hunger, Thirst, Sleep, and Cold meter, along with protecting yourself from natural weather and that sort.
And no fast travel at all.
There are quite a few things here, but one of the things I noticed that could be changed is the main boss in the mage guild. Seriously, Teso came out in 2014. In Oblivion Remastered, you redid the voice acting and appearance of many characters, but I really didn't expect Mannimarco to have the same voice acting as in 2006. Why not use the new voice actor from Teso and make the appearance more similar to the aged character model from the game? Also regarding the guilds. Unfortunately, I haven't reached the final of any of them yet. I have a question. Is it possible to make at least some periodic small quests for the heads of the guilds? If there are mistakes here, then forgive me. English is not my native language.
Languages pack and console mod. Thanks !
Lore Friendly DLC! Iāve posted before with a general list of suggestions. On that list I mentioned possible DLC and I have been thinking to myself about what could be best for the oblivion crisis era. Hereās what Iāve thought ofā¦
New Lands
-
Stirk: This is also a great opportunity for a sea-faring expansion. This land has a unique take on imperial culture and is far enough away for nautical mysteries and adventure!
-
Moonshadow: A plot line that takes place primarily in Azuraās realm of Oblivion during the Void Nights, either during or immediately following the Main Quests. You will help unravel its mystery and we get the first looks at the modern iteration of the Thalmor in Tamriel. Perhaps a bit of northern Elsweyr is given to the player to explore as well.
-
Topal Island: Similar to Stirk, an imperial island with some lore that has SO much room to be iterated upon.
-
Umbriel: Though this plotline takes place 40 years after the main plot it could be done as a āpost-shivering islesā DLC in which your role is less as the hero of Kvatch and moreso the Madgod. The books themselves were not great so I wouldānt be upset if they redid a lot of this lore here.
In-Cyrodiil
-
Rebuild Kvatch (or Hearthfire-esque mechanic): What do I need to say for this that hasnāt already been said lol? This is the clear number 1 player wanted DLC.
-
Fallen City of Sutch: Sutchās destruction is a mystery that has yet to be fully uncovered in the Elder Scrolls and all that remains now is a lonely tower. Perhaps there could be an underground mega dungeon where we uncover the secrets of the lost city?
-
Black Horse Courier- Investigative Journalism: Turn the B.H.C. Into a faction! We know that thereās secret journalists working throughout Cyrodiil to collect these stories so the player should get a chance to be one!
-
Goblin Wars Unleashed: This is just a silly idea for a āgoblin apocalypseā type thing.
OTHER: Also a comprehensive Lycanthropy mode and Survival mode!
add back the ghost filter for grommak's voice as he's 'dead'
Please improve:
- Running animation
- Surface reflections
- Frame rate
- Difficulty balance
- Local map accessibility
Local map hotkey or even just a button to click on the map screen instead of scrolling would be great.
Please add VR support. It doesnāt even need to have motion controls, being in the game is cool enough.

What happened to Sigrid and Adoring Fan's faces? Could devs make them more like the originals?
I'd like to see a transmog feature for weapons, armor, and clothing like other modern RPGs. Are you playing a mage and want the survivability of armor but want to wear the robes with their cool new cloth physics? Cosmetically transmog your armor look look like any set of robes you've had in your inventory!
Add VR support ā¤ļø
I think it would be a cool addition to add some new chests in hard to reach places on ruins and forts. Access them with higher acrobatics! I know there is stuff like this in the game but not much at all there have been many times now I've scaled to the top of a structure and it's a nice view but a cool secret chest would make it fun!
The spells in the spell list only tell you your skill level is too low, they donāt specify what skill level you need to be to cast it. Iād like to see it say that.
I would like pvp and an extraction mode with hardcore mechanics.
I think it would be nice if holding the "jump" button caused you to swim upwards.
Please add the option to delete unwanted spells. I have so many that I have created that I no longer need. Also a keyring to consolidate keys in the inventory would be great
Obligatory big fan of the remaster, but running into the magicka regeneration changes has been fairly tedious as a mostly-magic player.
Another suggestion summed it up nicer than I can:
"...The delay after casting and lack of magicka pool scaling have harmed the gameplay, slowing it down with no benefit resulting. While an over-reliance on potions and other methods of regeneration places a band-aid on the issue (I am consuming so many Flax Seeds), it also has the gameplay ramification of there being no reason to play anything but the Atronach birthsign on a magic character. It's all just not very "fun" at the moment, nor could it be called "well-balanced" in return."
If you don't want the absurd int/magicka stacking to get 100s/magicka per second of regen passively that's understandable, but the current delay + drastically cutting the previous 'normal' regen you could reach from just prioritizing magicka feel pretty bad.
Torches are held mostly in the middle of the screen when held in the off hand, could it be make to be held a little further to the left side of the screen? I usually use a torch in a cave, and when I'm in a cave I'm usually looking around, the torch takes up space right near the middle..

Iād like to have some completed marker on dungeons, it is probably a mod somewhere but it would be good natively
If you have a Bug to report, we are currently only looking for them through the site. You can report a bug at https://help.bethesda.net/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/716
Suggestion for Oblivion.. allow players to place an outline around a map marker as follows: Green = Completed, White = Not Completed, Yellow = Visited, come back later.
Please improve the difficulty balance
An option to enable HDR would be nice
Mark dungeons as "cleared"
Keep creation club out of the game
You guys did a great job with the new leveling system, however i feel like this move doesnāt coincide with leveled items. Removing leveled items from the game and simply having those items scale with the players level would make gameplay alot more enjoyable especially for min maxers like myself. Were basically punished for leveling up, and we cant play the game as freely since theres quests that require certain levels to achieve certain items at their best. Im sure most casual players donāt care, but a-lot of us veterans would love to put an end to leveled items for more enjoyable and more balanced gameplay.
Please dial back / adjust the XP gain from using skills. My Spellsword only liberated Kvatch and visited four of the smaller cities, doing the local quests, and hasnāt even been to the Imperial City.
Yet Iām already level 18 and have maxed str and int. The last bandit that attacked me had a glass axe and Iām still in standard Blades armour!
This speed of progression is sure to take any fun out of the game, since at this rate Iām bound to arrive at the Arcane University with already mostly maxed out skills.
give the difficulty slider back!
leveling your character is a big part the enjoyment imo and being unable to level kinda makes everything feel meaningless relatively early on imo with how easy it is to reach lvl 100 on an attribute
Another reminder that posting the same suggestion more than once will be seen as spamming. To add to this, you can edit your suggestions if you feel they need more information.
I'd like an inventory sort option for newest items so it shows items in the order they were added to my inventory (so whatever I just got from the highwayman I killed is at the top).
Fix the dark brotherhood door. Bring back the red glow. Remove the 2 extra children and fix the skull.
Re-Enable players to be able to mess with ragdoll bodies (when punching/slashing them, the bodies should be moving around like in the original Oblivion)

Would like something to remove the ability to get duplicate spell tomes it makes grinding for the exclusive spell effects a pain. Especially since save scumming takes a lot longer in the remaster.
Face sculpter post sewer time, maybe as DLC
I totally forgot to mention that another great āPost-Creditā DLC could be the Eruption of Red Mountain! Happened just 5 years after the Crisis and we know it had effects on all of Tamriel, with Cyrdoiil experiencing an explosion of refugees. Could be fun to have a plotline putting the player between An-Xileel vigilantes and Dunmer refugees
When levelling up - you should be able to spread the 12 points to any attribute - meaning 12 points in strength or 9 points in willpower and 2 in agility and 1 in endurance
Leveled weapons and armour should automatically scale with your level
Should be able to change your appearance/cosmetics - only hair and skin tone/make up
Maybe - Enemies should scale with your level but should not remove older enemy variants eg. Minotaurs into Minotaur lords - maybe as you level up more enemy types are added but the older ones still exist, so if you entered a bandit cave there would some guys with iron and some with high level gear like daedric or ebony or something and then when you are walking around the world there wouldnāt just be spriggans, there would be some spriggans and some will o wisps and so forth - or there should just be certain placements of enemies so when you encounter them at a low level you can run or try to fight them (also enemies shouldnāt scale in damage or health, the enemy varieties should have set damage and health/defence values) - (Rās thought, higher level enemy types could have a lower aggro range when you are lower level than them)
Iād love to see VR support. VR has made so many immersive games a 10/10 for me.
I believe the great city of Kvatch needs to be rebuilt, and we as the player as its new Count/ Countess would make a good dlc you could also add the marriage system from Skyrim Hearthfire DLC where we could adopt kids and marry npc so that Kvach knows who is next in line for its throne

a way to obtain the mythic dawn armor
Please, add official mod support for Playstation/XboX. Then just focus on the bugs and performance and leave everything else to modders. I've stopped playing the game becouse of broken difficulty balance and enemy level scaling and I am waiting for a patch to fix atleast some of it, and it really makes me mad to see that every problem I have with this game has already been solved by modders for PC on Nexus, but I've bought this on my PS5 so I'm left at the mercy of random patches, if they even come at all...
Posting a suggestion more than once is seen as spamming and will be removed per the #rules
Blackwood armour in the original looked unique.
Now it looks largely the same as steel armour, save for a small decal in the middle.
Please restore this to its former glory.
Iām sure a passionate 3d artist at Bethesda could sort this out! Make it look epic!
Enemies should make reaction sounds when being hit. I started playing yesterday found it so strange that you hack away at a bad guy and they just fall. A screen or an ouch would be great haha
Has anyone commented about the loot and world scaling yet?

I would like to second the Eruption of Red Mountain dlc idea ngl
(if dlc becomes possible)
I love playing high block on Master difficulty. "Why won't you die?" makes a lot more sense now.
If we're going way out there with suggestions, can I suggest some kind of unarmed weapon type, at least to carry enchants?
If not, can we have spears?

I imagine capes, cloaks, and backpacks have already been suggested right?
Can i get a 'keyring' and 'paper case' for all my keys and random notes/tomes that weight zero?
I hate scrolling through them all
Im saying make an inventory section just for books and another one just for keys btw
can we have an option to recreate our face please
Improve stealth. At this moment enemies are almost blind and deaf
Please add an option to change face, hair, and other appearance settings after the initial character creation āļø
add sub catagories back into the inventory
HDR Support please! (Just a reminder)
I'd really like a dark mode or some sort of adjustable fade in when openinng books and menus to avoid strobing.
I'd also love an area you can build in like Fallout, and companions can carry items like Skyrim.

Elevate the Great Gate battle to epic proportions
After players invest so much effort rallying an army, they deserve a truly monumental showdown. Rather than a handful of companions. This scale of spectacle ensures the Great Gate assault becomes an unforgettable, cinematic centerpiece worthy of all the playerās hard work.
optimisation issues on amd 6000 series and above as well as Nvidia GPUs, it stutters liike crazy at times and there is 60% + usage of the cpu while the GPU utilisation is almost never maxed out. Im running a rx 6700xt and a ryzen 5 5600 i should be getting stable 60-75+ at high settings 1080p usiing fsr quality.
ghosting is also an issue at times but not a major one
Ps- FG for AMD gives only a 20 fps boost with noticable input lag
Please fix the light armour bug š why is my armour breaking after one bandit fight plz

Dark brotherhood door. 5 kids not 7 (lore accurate). Add the red glow back. Add eerie sound back. Add Blood smears on floor back.
I would like for the key bindings to be fixed for both controller and keyboard. For controller, there is only partial support on PC and there is not many options to use certain buttons (such as the system and back buttons on an Xbox controller). Across both keyboard and controller layouts, you cannot bind certain keys pertaining to menus. As a left-handed keyboard user, when rebinding WASD to the numpad - it changes the player's vision. Overall, key bindings need more options and more investment to produce a good experience for controller and keyboard players.
An easier/more consistent way to get black soul gems. It's kind of a slog as-is because grand soul gems aren't exactly common then you need to do math to find the right day to convert them.
I'm not opposed to any wishes mentioned here, but can we pleaseāfirst and foremost, get the game to run smoothly?
Optimization should be be the highest priority, and then roll the new content...
From 50 onwards for a skill - should be half the amount of experience points
Or certain actions should grant more experience eg. more damage on a blade strike should give more damage exp - maybe 1 damage is 0.1 exp and 10 damage is 1.0 exp and so on for other skills
- security would be, you get different exp per tumbler - so a easy lock with one tumbler would be 1 exp but if it had 2 tumblerās the first one be be 1 exp but the second one would be 3 exp and so on (like exponential growth)
There should be a difficulty between adept and expert
Should be able to remove enchantments on weapons and armour and they should not need to be named (keep the option to be named)
Arrows should not have a weight capacity
Gold should be an item in your inventory
Keys should have a different slot - under quest items maybe
As the game progresses shopkeepers shouldnāt lose access to their older stock and should just have the new better stock added - or certain shopkeepers should have different stock that does not change
Difficulty slider changes
2 - 0.5
1.5 - 0.67
1 - 1
0.67 - 1.5
0.5 - 2
- or have a slider for player damage received and enemy damage given from 6x less and 6x more in increments of 0.5, so it would be 1, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.6, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 so you could pick player takes 1.5x more damage and does 1.5x more damage to enemies
- 6 - 0 - 6 (6 and on the left is negative and 6 on the right is positive) and there would be one for enemies and one for the player
- Or just have one difficulty or just do it like 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, and 1.5, customisable on both sides
- Or maybe 1 to 6, so 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Having a dedicated survival mode:
-having to eat and drink to maintain your stamina/health
-having to sleep to maintain Magika/stamina
-limit fast traveling
-potentially, camping in the wilderness.
All of this allows for some good role playing to occur, forcing players to actually stop in at taverns along the road or player homes to rest, eat and restock for the continued journey.
It also gives more purpose to food items rather than just minor health recovery.
I believe a good dedicated survival mode will aid the immersive aspects of the game.
Thank you all for your dedication and work on this wonderful game.

Optimize the game, the performance is terrible on pc regardless of hardware. Many people canāt play the game because of massive fps drops and stutters.
Improve the item holding and maybe add item rotation, to help decorating, atm whenever I try to adjust items they freak out and start bouncing around.
ACROBATICS š¤øš¤øāāļøš¤øāāļø
āŖ bring back the flips and rolls rather than the dash
āŖ add I-frames or increase the Dodge speed/distance. Currently dodging mostly just opens us up to being hit rather than actually dodging
āŖ if you won't do the above at least allow the block to persist during the Dodge so we don't get struck
The Mages Guild Quests need better rewards, the only good reward is the spell drinker amulet the rest are spells that are mediocre since I can make better ones with spell crafting the becoming the leader awards a set of unchanged robes, also no one besides raminus acknowledges that ur the new leader, also u make 0 gold for being the leader there just is very little reason to join the mages guild when you can just go to the mages tower.
In the original game, holding down the third person button would allow you to orbit your camera around your character without changing the orientation of your character or the controls. This allows you the option to look at your character from all sides, or to move in one direction while pointing your camera in another. It would be excellent if we could have this feature back, as it doesn't seem to be present in the current version of the remaster!

Co-op. But also have each own saves. Join a playerās oblivion world
A chest menu that's closer to skyrim's. It took a while to figure out I had to go to search first to store items. Also give keys and books their own inventory tabs
How about making NPCs do their actions a lil bit more smoothly and smoothly in transition, plus when they plow or chop or do chores add details like leafs moving holes forming even if they refill it after the job as a part of the job. Idk just an idea. More NPC details when it comes to actions and affects around them.
This is really silly and small, but a way to get BOTH saints and seducers armor in the Shiver Isles. It bothers me you can't get the armor for the side you're duke/dutchess of
allow male characters to wear skirts, i want my battlemage drip
Yes please
Have not actually played yet, but one thing I've heard has not made it yet is a face sculptor, just need to make sure the right face gets picked for end game events.
Also I've heard about people being locked from completing quests due to dead NPCs which is so disheartening to hear as a console player. With essential/protected flags I don't see why this has to be an issue.
Yes please!
This game would be amazing on PS VR2!
Just a small thing, but there is no Madness or Amber battleaxe, devs plz
Character edit mid-game. Throw a magic mirror or something into player homes or the arcane university
Hi, I would love if there was a way for follower items to not degrade to 0. I donāt have an option to repair their gear so really it would be awesome if in a future patch they would address this and possibly make their items infinite durability somehow? Or atleast let us trade items with them. I like having a couple peeps in my party but when their durability drops to 0 and they become naked brawlers it kinda kills the vibe lol.
The Daedric shortsword does not resemble it's original counterpart. Daedric weapons as a whole look oddly different. It's weird considering how faithful the armor is.
Would it be possible to keep things from flying off the shelves?
Make it so that negative effects on āon selfā spells actually decrease the Magicka cost / price / skill level.
This way, you can make stronger spells by balancing them out with something. Imagine paralyzing yourself to give yourself a speed boost once you go back up, or restoring more magicka at the cost of health!
This will result in more depth to spell making in an area that is otherwise completely useless.
Killcams
They should change the sound and animation for Detect Life to something a little more subtle, it's super loud and a little clunky for what the spell does, and kills the immersion a little when trying to be stealthy
We should be able to wear four rings in the future, two on the index, two on ring fingers
Mod API ASAP
Someone said it here before?
Would be nice to see my character grow tall like the ebony warrior in Skyrim
Make Detect Life worthwhile. The sparkly stars do nothing and are impossible to see.
Level scaling is miserable and was not fixed. Unique items should be STATIC and not dependent on the level you get them. Enemies should not level as harshly with you. If you level up using not combat skills the game will get HARDER rather than easier as you gain levels. This is not fun.
Also starlight/light spells will not work when cast from first person until you exit out to third person, this is extremely annoying.
Xbox mods please for the longevity of the game
That way we can just add what we need- like the abilty to forget spells tp reduce clutter.
This is one that I never see being brought up - new game plus! Basically, you keep all your levels and items on your character (and maybe in player hones) - while all the quests reset to the start of the game. Itād be awesome to go through the quests a second time with the same character. I always feel a bit sad when I know Iāve completed everything in the game and there is nothing left to do with a character Iāve spent the last 60 hours with
There's a really annoying bug with the camera happening with lots of players. Every time an enemy paralyzes your character, the camera on first person mode goes up, above the character's head and gets very buggy. Please Bethesda, fix this. It's really annoying. Thank you.

I have a suggestion: more in-game equipment shortcuts, for people who want a good diverse palate of weapons and spells
XboxSeriesX, before starting the main quest questline, when you approach Skingrad from the east, the Wayshrine of Kynareth is mislabeled as A Gate to Oblivion.
Get rid of World Scaling! Or, at a minimum, create a game mode that makes it optional. It really sucks playing a game where you actively get weaker as the game progresses (unless you do bugged or OP strats). I stopped playing the original around level 20 and feel that same annoyance in remastered. Please don't make me mod the game to enjoy it.
Please allow players to get the god tier looking Imperial Palace Guard armor. It's been 19 years.

Suggestion: Add a way to save Lucien Lachance in the Dark Brotherhood questline
Dear Bethesda team,
Please accept this heartfelt request from a long-time fan of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Lucien Lachance is a character many of us grew deeply attached to ā his voice, presence, and mysterious charisma have made him an icon in Elder Scrolls history. His death in the original game left a lasting sadness, and while it was part of the story back in 2006, Oblivion Remastered now presents a golden opportunity to give players real choice.
I sincerely ask you to add an optional way to save Lucien Lachance.
It could be hidden, difficult, or morally complex ā but give players the chance. Let those who are observant, loyal, or clever enough find a way to keep him alive. It would add emotional weight, replay value, and a powerful sense of agency, while honoring one of the most memorable NPCs in TES.
Please consider forwarding this to Virtuos. This isn't just a wish ā it's a chance to make Oblivion Remastered a true masterpiece of freedom and meaningful choice.
With gratitude and hope,
Dave (a loyal assassin with a broken heart)
P.S.: Iām ready to do anything to make this happen.
You want me to deliver 100 poisoned apples in-game? Iāll do it.
You want me to kneel before Sithis and write Lucienās name in blood across Cyrodiil? Done.
Just please ā let us save him.
Let my man live. For the love of the Night Mother!
Adding a face sculptor, as seen in Skyrim, or other NPC/object with the ability to modify character appearance, would be a nice quality-of-life feature. Without this, if a player becomes dissatisfied with the appearance of a character created, they must either ignore this, or recreate the character, losing some progress.
.... Adjust the weight of Dremora weapons to be proportional to their damage reduction from their Deadric weapon counterparts...?
I don't know if anyone's suggested this yet, but... not only do I want the original slider back for difficulty, but I'd like separate sliders for Damage and HP. I do not like damage sponges, even in difficult games, barring a multi-stage boss fight or some such. Being able to ramp up incoming damage without consequently making every average enemy nigh-unkillable would be a godsend.
A lot of games have separate sliders for incoming and outgoing damage these days, like Nine Sols for example, and I think it'd be a welcome addition.

Change local map method to always display when in interior.
Steam deck runs the game very rough for a verified game.
this is a cool ide3a
Navigating the spell list becomes very tedious as you get more and more spells. I have to scroll for ages to find what I want. I have some suggestions to fix this:
Let us add favorites that appear at the top of the list or in a separate tab.
Let us FILTER the list by school, level (novice to master), greater/lesser power/spell, and custom spell, in addition to target type.
This has been mentioned a ton but let us delete custom spells.
Please add crowns or circlets like from Skyrim give some unique ones to the rulers and let the red diamond crown the emperorās crown be in the game as a wearable and enchantable item

I think the character dialogue should be modified so that controllers can press B as the NPCās are talking so we can skip what theyāre saying without having to mash A exclusively only to al talk to them about the same topic we just asked them.
Idk if it works that way on consoles but Steam Oblivion is only allowing me to press A to skip through dialogue. I donāt remember Old Oblivion being this clunky with the dialogue skipping options.
I know it won't happen but PSVR and PCVR please.
if you have any items equipped that give you a "shield" affect, your gear will degrade much faster than normal whether it is light or heavy armor
Dear developers, please add russian subtitles ā¤ļø
We have huge community of TES lovers in around 15 countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Estonia). Of course it's impossible to give game subtitles on every language, but most people in these countries can speak and understand russian language, please give us an opportunity play game on russian language on Xbox/Steam/Playstation we will highly appreciate that.

Claymore swing speed should be increased.
The players weapons and shield go through the metal bars of the arena gate, please fix this.
for the love of god, please, add in POIs marked as complete after finishing them
The game is beautiful. Please add a photo mode. š ā¤ļø

Add the ability to remove 'The Arena' quest from your quest log upon finishing the questline. It currently remains active even if you've finished the questline and done the subsequent arena battle.
Showing the equiped items in the repair items screen because original oblivion did show that and it is removed in the new ui.
They should add a quest to become a vampire lord or a werewolf#oblivion-suggestion
Console commands for Xbox/PS players please! And loot-able palace guard armor!
Please allow the player to change to a "classic" filter which replicates the color palette of the original game. The original Oblivion had very vibrant greens, reds, and blues, whereas the Remastered version has a brownish tint to it. The game's fidelity is absolutely amazing, I just think the return of the original, saturated and vibrant colors would really bring back the essence of the original game.
hitbox doesnt feel so good, i should be landing a lot of these sword swings esp with a longsword...

I suggest adding a realism difficulty that increases enemy damage to you but ALSO increases your damage to enemies. Currently adept is too easy and expert/master are ridiculous
I think allowing freedom of movement while using the weapon wheel would make the game more like the original. Even with a controller Iād use my right thumb to swap gear while running. Less importantly, it would be really nice to have a second page of hotkey items.
The mace of Molag Bal should be stronger since it is very pitiful and Volendung ( the war hammer) needs to either get a massive buff in damage or it needs to weight a lot less.
Can we have an Official DLC for rebuilding Kvatch and becoming the count? The idea was already a thing when the game was being developed.
Please consider adding a Buy Back option to merchants to buy back a recently sold item for the price they paid.
Please fix the cure vamperism quest
Pls fix bugs EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATON Doesn't save the game and throws you out of the game with this error
When viewed from below in 3rd person the Daedric helmet is white on the inside for some reason. Please make it black or something.
horse 1 person + mods
Would it be possible to add more voice languages āāgiven the strong sales? It would reach a wider audience, and let's not forget that audio is also about accessibility. Thank you.
still waiting for hotkeys
A player-owned armory with armor stands, weapon/shield racks etc... would be cool.
Just got here but I'd love to add the option to remove the Maine/Beard from Khajiit customization (at least for the Female Characters), and for there to be prefab facials options and more tails and Fur patterns.
Hopefully this is under consideration, thanks for reading though.
WE WAITING PHYSICAL COPY! I don't want buy it in digital!!! Please give us an answer. YES or NOT?
Just a QOL idea, but a key ring and being able to recharge weapons from the weapons menu would be nice. My misc inventory is all keys.
Bound bow summon also bound arrows
Make dead bodies float in water! Trying to do the rumare slaugthterfish quest and the fish sink down into the weeds, never to be seen or harvested again
Please fix the enchanting and spell crafting menus, they are incredibly bugged out atleast on ps5. You are currently unable to add multiple enchantments to weapons
I would ask of the 10th Divine, Todd Howard, to consider rebalancing the difficulty or at least bring back the difficulty slider. The jump between Adept and Expert is large. Either you are nigh on immortal or the enemy is.
Are we getting driver support anytime soon?
My series x is wiping the floor with my 4090 7950x
I'm sure you're very hard at work but some acknowledgment of the pc version would be appreciated
This doesn't help developers at all unfortunately. You must specify what specifically went wrong by mentioning what did you expect and what did you get
Let us rename spells after making/buying them for gold š
The only thing I wish for since original Oblivion heyday is that lockpick locks never get functionally easier, and instead always remain at their difficulty (or were even harder). I find the challenge to be fun and is always what I look forward to the most when starting a new character.
The default bound weapon and bound armor spells have a duration thatās WAY too short. like 15 seconds.
I would suggest boosting that to at least 30 seconds for weapons and 60 for armor.
Also make it so you can dispel bound weapons by sheathing again.
On a related note the Runestones are borderline useless because youāre unlikely to get in a fight within 2 minutes of activating them. It would be nice if they bestowed a one use power instead of activating immediately so you can actually use it when needed.
Add in more horse-mounted NPCs such as traders and adventurers that roam the map. Some horse traffic in the Imperial City would really liven up the streets imo. I mean, there seems to be sidewalks separated by wider, main streets but you never see horses or carriages going through
Please extend the maximum duration limit on spellcrafting. I can buy spells that have 240 second durations, but only craft up to 60 seconds. If I have the gold and enough magicka/skill, I should be allowed to make and cast more powerful spells than I can buy.
Seriously, suggestion: If we are inside an area, we cannot fast travel OUT of that area, right? So, why have the default 'map' go to the overall area map? If we are inside an area, and hit map, it should auto default to the local area map, not the overall map. The overall map does us NO good when inside a dungeon or whatever. All that means is we need to zoom down to the local map, and that is seriously annoying.
Photo mode because there's no way to disable HUD (quest indicator) and the game is too pretty not to have it
Please add dual wielding!!!! Having the option to deal bonus damage in place of blocking was one of my favorite features in Skyrim. Sneaking with dual daggers is my go to for my primary builds in RPGs.
Weaponsā reach often feels lacking
Hi Bethesda. I am an audio engineering student and its glaringly obvious that the new voice lines recorded for some races are lower in volume in comparison to other voices. Even the background ambient music can be louder in some instances which is immersion breaking. Newly recorded voiceovers should be raised at least +3db! Thanks
Has anyone heard about a physical release - Iām hearing grumblings from friends who are in the gaming industry saying 1) next gen consoles will be digital only - with the current price increase on consoles and games anyway, seems like buying another series X and PS5 physical edition (I know itās another $1000 Iāll drop) is probably the way to go and Iāll still be able to play my physical backlog for the next 15 years lol
Actually, now that I think about it, maybe this should be unlocked when the skill you're using is high enough. Like if your destruction is high enough, you can cancel destruction spells mid cast but if you're a novice, then you don't have enough control to do that; you don't know how to stop the spell.
Please give option for a more vibrant filter in the game
Levelled items scale with you. Something like the crusader relics where if you put a levelled item in a particular chest it comes up to your current level. Or use a soul gem on it.
agreed
I assume that I am not the first to suggest this but please, for the love of the elder scrolls, let us click on the dialogue/book/etc options on the bottom of the screen or multibind the E key to take instead of ENTER.
Bring back the old camera sizing system I guess. Or even better make it more intuitive to add items to a chest or a character.
And bring back the Dodge roll in the backflip in paralyzing stab
Add a hud/UI toggle so we can get nice pictures without having the compass and weapons in the way
Hello, I have another suggestion; concerning the Ring of Khajiiti, could chameleon only apply on sneak? I love the graphical model of the ring, permanent chameleon just makes it so that I donāt even see it and my character all together⦠thank you for your time!
Allow me to slash up corpses with blood spatter.
optimization patch for all platforms please and thank you
This is a mix of weapon used (short vs long reach) and FOV setting (high FOV causes objects in center to be further away than they look).
The ability to fast travel to the wayshrines after completing Knights of the Nine. Having to run around looking for them a 2nd time to repent your sins feels tedious.
Reading a skillbook gives the 'skill level increased' sound effect but its not clear as to which skill increased
Summon spriggan spellbook
Give more tabs in the inventory menu, add one for potions, keys, and books. Also lock the mortar and pestle, alembic, etc to the top of the ingredients page so you don't have to scroll through 70 ingredients just to start making something. Lastly, let us delete old spells that are no longer useful, or that we screwed up when we were making them. Spell clutter sucks late game.
dungeons to be marked as ones i have done already, and oblivion gates to be maked as closed. no loading doors in vanilla houses if possible and more storage. More staff visible variations. The done quest items staying in the invintory bug fixed. I want houses to have more purpose. The loading screen to stay up a little longer so everything can load in properly (it crashes when i try to move and everything is still trying to load -ps5). the coral house to have two people that can Live with you - like one will be a servant and the other can be a mage that sells spells training and enchants items so you dont have to join the mages guild, plus it is expensive so would like it to have a unique perk other than unused beds. In skingrad adding another person there that can be your follower i would say like a monk that can heal you in battle and sell you restoration spells would be fun. Maybe adding a basement to chaydenhall and you can have your own dark brotherhood assassin as your house guard and potential follower with sneak training. Anvil can have a housekeeper and a general merchant that trains merchantile in the basement. Brivil and layawin would need better houses but i think lockpicking and archery could work there (maybe you get the listeners house after the questline is done). If you are the arch mage having addons to the bigger houses (skingrad, chaydenhall, anvil, bruma, coral all the add on ones) so you can have enchanting and spellmaking in your house. More armors and outfits and unique weapons is also always a plus for me. Adding more invintory tabs - seperating out keys, scrolls or both. The poison apple by lucians hide out back since after you murder the sanctuary they are hard to find. the dark brotherhood murderers to have names and for there to be a shop again
I would love a photo mode and if it's somehow possible to have achievements permanently locked for console commands be per character not overall
Putting on hoods and helmets are clipping through certain races heads, this is seemingly only fixed by going through a load screen, but then the structure of your characters face actually changes (which may be intentional as a way of preventing the clipping?). The issue then is your face remains changed even when taking the helmet off until another load screen. In the original game items would just conform to your character rather than your face being altered to fit into the helmet.
- Kill cams !!!
- Dual wield / Dual cast !!!
- Toggle On/Off Helms !!!
- Fort/Mine/ruins cleared indicator
- Werewolf form
- Better 2h Damage
- Blood Spatter + Corpses take hits
- Fix the difficulty jump between adept and expert.. increase adept or reduce expert
- Conjuration > Conjured Weapons spec/bonus dmg
- Have all potions weigh a base (light) weight
- Fix bugs / mechanics exploits eg: Bow switch to dagger for x8 on hit
- PC users enter key mapped to E or something close to directional keys
- More armor set options, more weapons, unique gear scale with level
- Make security + speechcraft more appealing
- Buff the trash birthsigns to make them more appealing (tower, serpent, shadow, lover, ritual)
- Buff Kajiit racial to work over level 25 with diminished effect
- Give Argonians skyrim racial
- Add more spells like Skyrim Sith lightning
- Argonian tail doesn't show in Heavy Steel armor lul & fix the way the helms sit
- Better Blunt Spec. Put axes into Blades and make them have more length like Skyrim axes. Juice Mace bois with a knockdown or something.
- Love your work guys this remaster is SO sick and looks amazing.
extended hotkeys
Let us disable the vibration on just the vampire sun damage. I like vibration on for my games most of the time but the vibration from sun damage at 50 Vampirism is a bit excessive given how little damage it actually does to my character
the additions from skyrim like lycanthropy dual wield running attack and powerattack should be ported to oblivion, building from fallout 4, radiant quests and radiant encounters
I'd really like scroll wheel functionality on the quest log if it has to stay in it's current miserable state. I'd prefer a list instead of giant text blocks that slide sideways awkwardly.
Seems like most quest with book items you have to retrieve/return have been the most common quest bug.
It would be cool if Shadowrend had a unique appearance like in the original
Could we get a transmog system of some kind? That would really enhance the role-playing aspect of the game without forcing us to limit ourselves to certain levels. For instance, I really like the steel mace, but obviously in late game it sucks. Being able to use the amber mace for max damage but have it look like steel would be great.
Give mods to the console version please
agreed
Is this the chat for feedback?
For things you might want implemented to make the remaster experience better essentially
Primarily for feedback on peopleās suggestions that you disagree with rather than offering your own š
Not sure if this is the right place to share this, but I noticed a typo in the quest log for "The Renegade Shadowscale." It reads: ||"I have agreed to spare Scar-Tail's life. I must take the heart of the dead Argonian assassin, and present that to Teinaava instead. To thank me, Teinaava has shared the secret hiding place of his treasure[...]" Clearly that last mention of Teinaava should instead be Scar-Tail.||
I checked and noticed this typo was also present in the original game. Not sure if it was intentional to leave that as is.
Dual wielding is great. It need to be implemented for daggers, one handed axes and swords. I don't care about dual spell casting, it might remain as it is now. Kill cams - good but not necessary.
Make the cat girls more uwu?
Hey guys just wanted to point out that if you can't go through a door turn off your watermalking.
More complex marriage system. Simply wearing an Amulet of Mara is not enough to qualify someone for marriage. Oblivion already has a system in place for garnering someone's favor. Capitlize on it with options to court someone. Take them on side quests and bring them gifts. Player housing is a thing already have so it could be more homely with that special someone.
I vote Lifts-Her-Tail as the first possible option but we can talk ideas!
Put in the bookcase and display case inventory to make it easier to display items like in Skyrim. Because I am not placing individual books like I had to back in the day.
Official Loot Menu feature?
Extended hotkeys
Add a search bar for inventory, Add house markers on map so you know where your houses are and you can fast travel to them
Simple one but would appreciate being able to loot an enemyās weapon off their body instead of having to hunt around for it which can be particularly annoying in dark areas
Console mods and for love of Talos a photo mode! But not just some half-skeevered photo mode. One with a ton of features.
Hello everyone. I hope everyone are safe.
Anyone else agree on those things :
-
- Using a controller is not intuitive with the sudden walk/run. Please put a smooth transient like all normal game do.
-
- Can you please, put back first person view on horse. What's the deal with 3rd person view for riding or vehicle? For us that play first person, it's immersion breaking.
-
- The game need optimization on texture loading when entering cities.
You guys at Bethesda and Virtuos did an amazing job. It feel like a remake!!!
I'm now (im)patiently waiting for Fallout Remaster and many more I hope.
š
We need a bit more engaging combat. As many before have suggested,it would be nice to get some form of executions for each weapons, unarmed and stealth. Would also be nice to see aftermath damage details on the bodies, like bodies that are still fried from shock spells or burned, just like in Skyrim. Otherwise even with the new weapon animations, the combat gets old really fast, because it's outdated and not very detailed. Although this is not related, but could be: Would be nice to be able to stealth feed on people as a vampire without having them being asleep, this could cause them to be temporarily captivated after the feeding if awake, thus allowing us to get away without alerting them.
an ability to cancel shooting an arrow without putting the whole bow away (currently you can cancel it with opening the hotkey menu but would be nice if you didn't have to do it that way)
A way to change character customization after leaving sewers like a barber mabey.
Climbing vines would be great for thieves and assassins. Also, windows on buildings should have pickable locks and you should be able to enter and exit through them, giving different paths in quests or better ways to steal/assassinate.
We need PSVR 2 support. Instant buy then.
Please optimise performance for PC cause itās unplayable Iāve gone to mods too help but still pls optimise
Add a cool whooshing sound effect when jumping with >70 Acrobatics
This needs PS VR2 support! That would make it the greatest game EVER!
All of these suggestions are for PC but may apply to other platforms.
Showing current/max weight when taking/picking up items would be helpful.
Allow the same key that opened a screen to close it.
Allow the confirmation prompt with "Continue" button to be accepted by clicking anywhere.
give us a face sculptor so we can change our appearance without resetting
German voice acting, which I, as a German player, strongly support, as well as additional voiceovers in French, Spanish (European and Latin American), Italian, Polish, Russian, and Japanese to enhance immersion. Further requests include official mod support, bug fixes and performance optimizations (e.g., for Steam Deck), a more vibrant world with added details (animals, weather), a modernized combat system, better-balanced level scaling, new content (quests/DLCs), improved NPC AI, and fairer pricing for the editions. These changes aim to balance nostalgia with a modern gaming experience.
Two handed weapons need a buff or at least looked at again. They feel so weak and slow compared to the one handed weapons and daggers.
- Survival Mode
- Damage multiplier for more intense/ārealisticā combat
- Ironman/No Reload mode for epic death and survival stories
Can you add back the faster casting "glitch" so I can cast after blocking instead of having to lower my shield, take a hit, and then cast a spell?
I'd love if you added color correction options
like more to change the contrast or have preset options, like to make the game more colorful and vibrant
- Make young characters not look so wrinkly, take notes from the Young Textures Revamped mod
- Make lighting and contrast have more depth, not washed out and flat. and make the color grading more faithful to the original. At the very least add a "classic visuals" option so normies can keep their slop filter and guys like me can see a more faithful visual.
3..make it easier to make a character with a good looking face.
4..stop being afraid of the color black, and make more armors and clothing have black parts., especially the dark brotherhood uniform and daedric armor. - Better hairstyles, some of what:s already there is excellent, but the long loose hairstyles are mostly unusable with how bad they look, only one of them is good.
- Armor and clothing dye system
I'm sure this has been suggested, but I would like to add my voice to the numerpus requests to work on the performance issues. I have a RTX 4060 and a Radeon 5500. I really should be able to achieve 60 fps on 1080p and high settings with little issue, without even having to go to upscaling. Anytime we step outside, fps is halved to 30, at best.
Speaking of, DLSS gives low performance and DLSS plus FG has horrendous screen tearing that not even setting V-Sync in the control panel will resolve. FSR 3 seems to work somewhat better, but image quality suffers.
Oh...YES. Please make Black hair Black. More, and better, hairstyles would be nice. And...PLEASE...make the Elves look less like an old hag. That chin...and those brows...
Other than that, the game itself is great. it's...Oblivion, the good, and the weird ;).
Oblivion: Remastered:
I remember why I stopped playing the original.
The gameplay was so warped and broken once you figured out how it worked, you couldn't help yourself but game the system (and if you didn't, you'd be spending months of your life that you can never get back again doing things that could take only hours or minutes once you knew how) and by the end of that, you were so overpowered the game was silly to play unless you really really enjoyed the storylines of the quests.
Case in point: Get the spell "Chameleon," and (with the right know-how and a few thousand gold) you get to an enchanting table (which comes in a house you can get for free) and make five pieces of gear that have 20% constant effect Chameleon on and Congratulations! you've just won the game.
Nothing can see you.
You can do whatever you like to whomever you like whenever you like.
It's that broken. By design!
The fatal flaws of all Bethesda games are along these lines. The quests are numerous, the systems are broken, and the faces (before mods) are always ugly. This is obviously the latest Bethesda cash-grab release (remember how many times they wanted you to pay for Skyrim?) so they can diddle something 20+ years old instead of actually making new games--because face it: nothing so far has made Starfield interesting.
Add back the Quest update sound effects!
Blackwood armour is a poorly done reskin of the steel armour. In the original it was darker and totally unique, with markings on the shoulder plates. Please restore this back to its original glory! https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/comments/1k6um36/they_cooked_so_hard_with_literally_every_other/
Easy to implement suggestions:
- Character customization potions - related to alchemy (just like Fantasia from FF XIV) š§Ŗ
- Barber shop to change hairstyle and beards š©āš¦³
- Sunscreen for Vampires š§š»āāļø - related to alchemy
- Dual welding system from Skyrim āļø
- Vampire Lord and Warewolf šŗš§āāļø
- Pickpocket skill like in the original š„·
- Photomode š·
- map needs a button toggle to bring up the local map
- i feel like an elder scrolling looking for potions, separate ingredients from potions, and maybe pin the mortar/pestle to the top of the menu
- add icons for explored dungeons
- i recall you could damage will o wisp with spells, not sure if i forgot, but so far i can only damage it with enchanted weapons
Hello, I'm currently past 100 hours in the game and have some gameplay feedback that might be useful. There's lots and I'll have to split the msg in half and send the rest later.
- power attacks not forcing movement onto character - it is very easy to charge past an enemy while doing power attacks. It would be fantastic if power attacks were torso animation only and allowed complete freedom of directional leg movement to player,
- execution animation for dagger while in stealth similar to the one used on the Emperor would be nice - it would be some sort of feedback guarantee that your target died from the strike,
- I'd love if soul gems could only accept highest possible souls with the exception being Azura's Star,
- vendors should have larger assortment lists to sell, there's plenty of generic clothes which aren't easily accessible to player or exist in few places only. It's hilarious when you think that it's easier to gather daedric armor pieces than some normal clothes - should be the other way around IMHO,
- more clothing and jewelry options like clothing gloves, belts or diadems, also it would be nice if you could wear shirts and pants under robes because if you want to play mage character who doesn't wear armor you have much less enchantment options which feels absurd, either this or allow robes to hold 3-4 enchantments,
- another thing when it comes to playing mage is buff durations - it is so tedious for premade buffing spells to be so short forcing player to sometimes reapply the buff mid fight. Do we really have to spam buff spells so much? Even player made spells which can last 2 minutes feel very short. Can't they last like 5-10 minutes? - an average dungeon duration? As far as I understand THE ONLY reason for those buffs to be so short is so that you level up skills this way - by spamming, which can easily be adjusted for the change I'm suggesting. Buffing allies with buffs during quest battles would also feel more fun and less tedious.
Would be nice to have Jiub's Head back in kavatch instead of a random zombie one. Those bits of lore really made oblivion great. Please bring it back
- smooth transition in walking/running speed build up, when using an controller
- option to hide quest markers on compass
- option to hide enemy markers on compass
- option to hide compass
Would love to have bookshelves and display cases be containers in our houses, would make it easier to put things in them. like the ability fill bookshelves with book more easily.
less loading doors. sometimes doors just feel unneeded, the guild halls, the rooms are tiny and each building has 3 loadind doors, you cannot tell me those doors are there to stop lag or something. more importantly, the houses we can live in, deepscorn hollow, its a great place, I kinda like it but needing to load between storing, feeding then sleeping feels pointless. each visit to my house i must go through like 6 loading screens. when it doesnt need to be any more than 2
Can we get cross saves. If you are presumably making a switch port or even for handheld pcs between a PlayStation it would be amazing to be when to progress on all platforms with one save
Extensions to the guild quest chains could be great
Just more quests to all the guilds once their original storylines end
Finally a decent Imperial City house please (Umbacano's home for sale after finishing the quest for example)
Add more achievements related to misc things and also a platinum achievement. Iāve played the game for like 40 hours and got all of them. Achievements are too easy to get
Please add lycanthropy and werewolfs to oblivion
Romanceable Mehrunes Harbringer. (:
Werewolves and Wereboars (from Daggerfall)
Option to use the same input layout as on Xbox 360 (sprint could be from a fully pushed left joystick)
On difficulty levels - I love a challenge but I dislike fights taking too long; going in circles doing the same actions gets too repetitive.
I'd love the option to play on difficulty where enemies deal master-level damage but their hp isn't as scaled.
When you're over-encumbered, can the message just come up once and then disappear? There's no need for it to be flashing up constantly. There's an icon to remind you anyway. Happens for magical effects too, I end up with 5 minutes of "your willpower is being drained", no need to show this more than once. Thanks.
To add onto this suggestion: the "about to be no charges" message is also annoying. If you jast spam staff, you will keep seeing "about to" message for 15+ seconds after it ALREADY expired. This needs improvement.
Werewolves š
Sometimes I notice the effects tooltip in the inventory doesn't pop up when you mouse over an item with effects or an alchemy ingredient. I can usually resolve this by toggling "Show Details", but it sometimes doesn't work.
Would like it if enemies would stop focusing on my horse so much. Would prefer it if they just focused on me once I dismount
Just un-check a box: Please make Imperial Guard Armor wearable.
Some things i think will be nice small additions
- More Achievements, im a 100% Kind of guy and i would love to see Achievements for Knights of the Nine and The Daedric Shrines. maybe even some Side quests that arent Bound by the Faction / Guild system.
- Photomode. like come on this game is stunning and i would love to screenshot some vistas for my own amusement.
- Tweak the Difficulties. For some reason the easy difficulties are too easy and the hard ones feel like chewing rocks, while the Normal difficulty is a mixed bag of both. it is in desperate need to be tweaked or give us the old slider back so that we can tweak it ourselves.
- The music, i love Oblivions music but i also very much love Skyrim's and Morrowind's music. Hell even ESO's is very good. and i would love to see it included just to have much more variety. maybe even let us check which ones we want in the Audio Settings.
- more Steam Points related Customization. i would love to Rep Oblivion Remastered even on steam by using animated backrounds or even small animated stickers
Being able to delete spells. As a new player I wanted to mess around with spell creation. Now I have a ton of unused spells clogging my list.
I shall yell into the wind againā¦.
Fix the difficulty please! Adept is too easy and expert is too hard. Please add difficulty sliders!
For the love ofAkatosh add more quick slots or revamp it so playing a mage doesn't feel like cancer
Please fix the cure vamperism quest. i am locked out of finishing the game because of it
- Legacy Color & lighting would be great since the world will feel way more warm and fantasy-like!
- German voice recordings would be highly appreciated, too!
bug report: invisible wall in Fort Urasek Company Billets facing a marauder with an enchanted weapon EDIT: now THAT was weird! i left the fort and there he was, the marauder battlemage waiting for me outside!
please bring back dual wielding for daggers š
- performance patch for all platforms
- longer loading screen, or something. when you enter a cell, you can see graphics load in
- enemy scaling needs to be modernized more. make it more like skyrim's is, not every bandit encountered on the road at high level needs to be wearing high level gears -> save those for bossess and such
- ability to enchant gear with 2 enchants
- make spellmaking UI more clear, and to be able to see during crafting a spell if youre able to cast or not, not when attempting to make it.
- difficulty sliders for damage made and damage taken?
p.s. are any devs actually making use of all of these suggestions, or is this channel just shouting into the void
Make the imperial palace guard armor obtainable, with stats akin to ebony
(Things added or changed I would like to suggest)
-Ability for a tutorial on a local map is kind of hidden away in the map screen having to zoom in
-the difficulty being adjusted or altering like in the original where there is a single bar of difficulty with all the variety
-weapons from quests becoming weak because of the scaling of weapons
-riding the horse in first person
-oblivion gates to have more variety with the layout
-adding more performance
-restore kvatch add on (maybe?)
-maybe a tutorial on modding toolset for the original game into the remastered (show how to make mods for the oblivion remaster tutorial )
-goldish tint to UI (like it was a in the original option)
-buff vampirism
I'm seeing a few rather consistent bugs.
- In the inventory menu my actual armor rating is not correct, and I have to unequip and equip a piece for it to be right
- My active spells on the bottom left of the UI is bugging out occasionally, reloading sometimes fixes and sometimes doesn't
- When blocking with a shield I will sometimes get stuck in that pose for several seconds.
Only think I would like to see otherwise is a shield bash mechanic like in Skyrim, i'm driving myself crazy trying to do that in every fight haha.
Hi. Potion making is ESPECIALLY bad today. Normally I am able to make potions and the game wonāt crash if I do it slowly. However even making them at a snailspace the game has crashed 3 times today.
Making the battle of bruma larger, more allied soldiers in the fight since consoles & pcās can handle more now vs in 2007.
HDR support for consoles would be nice! And I will post this again tomorrow lol
I think I've best compiled the things I want
- Mounted Combat
- A difficulty between Adept and Expert
- Name Horses
- Two Gameplay options separate from difficulty
Hardcore(No Health Regen, No Fast Travel, only 8 Virtues on level up)
Survival(need to eat and Sleep).
I would love a way to add books to a bookshelf and have them automatically arrange. There's a mod on Nexus that already does this, I'd just like an official way. I love decorating my homes, after all~

-
**Birthsigns: ** Make it so attribute modifiers on Birthsigns can go over 100, otherwise they are made obsolete in about 10 or so levels depending on build. Making them unviable trap choices
-
Attribute Cap: The attribute cap with the new levelling system, and even without it, is far too low given that most builds will start with stats as high as 50-65. This makes enchanting, birthsigns, and powers like adrenaline rush and berserker fairly useless early on in the game.
Removing the cap of 100, and making the hard cap of 255 that's already coded in would be ideal; and moreso, some attributes and skills do not continue to effect the player after 100(Strength and weapon skills), and others do.(Speed and Athletics)
Ultimately, right now most players are likely wasting potions, enchantments, and their abilities, naturally assuming that the game would take into account all these factors, when in reality, most of it will do absolutely nothing past 100.
Can you please add romance options in oblivion, like in Skyrim sense there is a big castle it would be fun to have a romance partner to enjoy all of that with in oblivion.
More NPCs in Bruma battle and Light the Dragonfires. At least 2x the current amount.
We get that it was a limitation of Xbox360 but god itās 2025, can we make it less anticlimactic?
HUD toggle
- Difficulty Scaling: the difference between adept and expert is massive. Enemies go from trivial to a complete slog. We need a middle ground
2 )Open world performance: easier said than done i know, but the stutters are a bummer right now - Remove/Weaken melee attack delay: I suppose a design choice, i personally think this makes melee feel quite bad
Can we get a seperate map we can build in and recruit followers from? It could be accessed by an Elder Scroll you carry around or a portal. I just feel like my character deserves a selection of loyal followers and a bespoke castle/village for them to live in š¤£
Can we get some good unique or artifact blunt weapons? Can't go 5 feet without tripping over some cool blade weapon, but blunt gets next to nothing special. Especially one handed.
Please add subtitles for the Daedric Prince shrinesā¦
Please make it so you can't get expelled from guilds for stealing/killing after you're the head of the guild
Suggestion: add more wheels to the shortcut wheel.
Fallout 4 / Skyrim Special Edition style save manager by character name (NEEEDED IMO).

General dialogue subtitle options. (for audio impaired)
improvements to stealth could be very good for the game
such as:
- the ability to re-hide after being spotted
- higher damage sneak attacks at high sneak levels to make sneak attacks more viable as a playstyle
- the ability to stealth kill with spells without being automatically spotted
imperial palace guard armor?
In the original Oblivion - the palace guard armor (also captain of the guard armor) was impossible to get as itās a non-wearable item.
Nearly two decades later - we still canāt wear it.
Devs - how about an update where this is now a wearable item? Maybe a quest to get it? Join the legion? Or a downloadable skin - you could make it the āhorse armourā of oblivion remastered, I would still buy it.
Would height and weight sliders be a possibility for the character creator? More variety in body shapes would just be a lot of fun.
Also- I've always found the two-handed weapons in Oblivion to be kind of underwhelming, both aesthetically and in terms of gameplay- Skyrim was a big upgrade there, in terms of making two-handed weapons worth using. I'd love to see another class of swords maybe- something like a true Renaissance-era Zweihander, with a longer reach and enough of a damage bonus to balance out a slower swing speed.
https://youtube.com/shorts/ULAwSbzSLgM?si=6-BlBj44ja_OWk-k
Something with a flamberge blade would be sweet, I've always been partial to that
https://www.reddit.com/r/SWORDS/comments/13prr54/looking_for_a_historically_accurate/
Can you add some more housing modification? Something along the lines of ESO or fallout where you can go into edit mode and manually move furniture or snap items to a grid rather than trying to hold x and drag stuff into place
Just wanted to say kudos for creating such an amazing remaster. Iāve been totally hooked, like Iām 16 again.
Ideas for improvement:
Performance issues. These have been talked about enough, Iām sure they will be addressed.
QOL improvements - More radial options, one wheel is limiting. Retain local map when inside (I know this can be done with start button, but still should be default). Dedicated dodge button and I frames would make it more useful.
Level scaling - Coming from Morrowind to Oblivion this was my biggest disappointment. Would love for a more static, handcrafted world. Cap bandit gear at steel/leather maybe?
Item scaling - Same as level scaling, one of the worst aspects of Oblivion. Would be awesome if unique items to had static stats, or levelled with you.
Improved animations - Improve the sprinting animation, especially with weapons out. Improve animations when traversing upwards. Continue to improve melee combat animations. Huge improvement from OG but still think they could go a little further with combat improvements.
Improved dungeon layouts - Good opportunity to improve the dungeons to be more unique and rewarding. More hand-placed loot ala Blade of Woe from Morrowind or Fingleam. These are awesome moments and make exploring worthwhile.
Improved oblivion gate layouts - Also a good opportunity to improve variety and interest in Oblivion gates. Add more Hatredās Heart like things to find.
Any new content - One of the people who would absolutely pay for additional content.
Thanks Bethesda/Virtuous, game slaps.
I would like a change to the world map UI where already closed oblivion gates are somehow shown different in the map so we know what is closed and what is still open.
Add a way to change our appearance after leaving the sewer
Allow the horse to sprint while auto-running. Horses have unlimited stamina, so what's the point of forcing the player to hold down W to make them sprint? You should be able to press Q to start auto-run and shift to turn that into auto-sprint.
Player Race Scaling:
Currently in the game, race scaling is not applied to the player, I can't tell if it's a bug or a "feature", but a high elf player is a head shorter than the NPCs, and a wood elf player a head taller, this is an inconsistency with every other game in the series
more junk items/decorative items š
Bring back the difficulty slider, and change the existing settings (novice, adept, expert, etc.) to instead effect enemy behavior. (Higher difficulty enemies are more likely to use tactics that counter the player, lower difficulty enemies leave themselves open more and/or use healing items less)
OG color palette
Increase in alchemical vegetation
More of a general question first: Title of this thread gives a link for speaking **DIRECTLY **with the developers, implying this chat does not actually reach the developers. Just where exactly are all these (very much needed) suggestions going?
For myself, and obviating suggestions I've seen here already:
-Fix Heavy Armor, players are reporting it degrades extremely fast (like 2 hits) even at very high skill levels and wearing ebony or daedric.
-Add ability to remove or archive spells from inventory. The clutter becomes unbearable at high levels.
-Extend reach or hitbox of two handed melee weapons like warhammers and especially claymores. Currently these weapons are obsolete compared to for example longswords, as they add very little damage in exchange for very slow animations, and their chief advantage range, is too low to compensate. Greater reach is a very important and underlooked feature of the game that allowed a disproportionate amount of playstyles given the simple nature of the mechanic. For example, glass-canon battlemage builds without armor skills (allowing greater spell efficiency) but with Athletics and Blade skills, relying on movement speed and the reach of two handers to avoid getting hit and yet still be able to dish damage in melee.
-Like many others, would also pay for new DLC's that add decent content (minor cosmetics with a quest or two won't cut it, but will buy decent add-ons with some meat on their bone. Something between Battlehorn Castle and Knights of the Nine in scope would be doable in a timely fashion and widely celebrated (and bought) by the community, IMO).
I suggest a "Rebuilding Kvatch" expansion as #1: Lead the effort to rebuild the city to its former glory, attract new and old residents and specialized/useful new traders and trainers, restore and compete in the Kvatch Arena, and ultimately choose to let the people acclaim you as Duke of Kvatch, or decide to pass on the responsability to Savlian Mathius.
honestly please just bring back Pitcher Plants, maybe with some unique properties to fill gaps in the alchemy combinations. or at least for aesthetics.
Making a ticket goes directly to the developers. think of it like mailing a letter through the post or dropping it off on their porch. One goes through the post office and then gets delivered, and one goes directly to the recipient. They both get there but one is more direct.
Please add a search bar for items in your inventory / chests. I'm tired of constantly scrolling through the alphabet
So here is a suggestion for something I wanted even back in 2006. I've had to use a mod in the OG game for years for it.
The ability to delete spells. As you level along, you unlock the ability to make greater / more powerful spells, and often they'll eclipse the old version you made and your spell book can get very cluttered very quickly. The ability to just perhaps hold down two buttons to delete any spell you would like would just be a wonderful addition to have. Todd be praised.
- Difficulty Scaling: the difference between adept and expert is massive. Enemies go from trivial to a complete slog. We need a middle ground
2 )Open world performance: easier said than done i know, but the stutters are a bummer right now
If not delete, at least a "Sort to Bottom" option or some way to filter them out of the way
Oy, please remove collision boxes from lanterns in caves and such. It's kind of off-putting to be walking/running only to come to dead stop because my head's hitting the lantern! š
Be able to delete spells
Change hair/face
Better inventory
Bigger shortcut wheel
Be able to move while the shortcut wheel is open
Be able to be vampire more than once
Add repeatable quests
Hi there! As somebody that isn't a hardcore gamer, but played (and loved) Skyrim on Switch, I'm somewhat enjoying Oblivion (on Steamdeck), but some basic tweaks would help so much, otherwise, I'm not enthusiastic to play because the annoyances outweigh the gameplay/quests and story/intrigue:
-
quick access to zoomed in / local map (why can't the map quick-key remember this like the menu button does?);
-
designation for when caves / dungeons / etc are cleared. My world navigation is stunted because I know if I "discover" somewhere but don't want to run it right away, that I'll never remember if I did or didn't, so I just leave it undiscovered. But then, I did all the non-fast-travel walking a path between cities for nothing, because I don't know to go back;
-
icons in the town/local map that designate more than just doors. Even just a different icon for houses vs shops would help, but also a different icon for what kind of shop or an inn would make that map actually useful without having to scroll around to check what each door is. Also, that local map shouldn't be so zoomed in anyway -- it's annoying to have to scroll around to get a sense of the layout of the town!
Let us 'Tab' out of conversations, the same way we can 'Tab' out of our inventory
Mod support/UE dev kit release/creation club
Suggestion - Make the Collosal Black Soul Gem gained during final Mages Guild quest droppable after quest completion, and make it give a permanent bonus, similar to the scales of Pitiless Justice.
I drop this in here one last time. The UI needs work...
Opening a container should show your inventory and the matching tab of container (like in fallout). Synchronized...to many buttons
Sorting spells is too complex at high levels. Need groups or hide (like mods in original had)
When you sort inventory by weight/value etc. it defaults to that like 2 or 3 times and then bugs out. Need to be able to set default besides A to Z
I know its said many times but please add a change face option like the lady in the Thieves Guild hideout in Skyrim.
Its a pain that in Oblivion you are only allowed to make your character while in the sewer, which heavily alters the lighting, and your face in general. When I came out of the sewers my character turns into a completely different person, i also just have a bad tendency to want to make my character look exactly like me which takes lots of trial and error
Hotkey the shortcut wheel like in the āKontrolā mod for skyrim. Hold down LB and hit d pad or abxy to equip , honestly if you could map every button on the controller (except LB obviously) you could have at least 11 hotkeys
I wish we could hit corpses with like in the original game, it was a small touch but it was funny
I had one last suggestion to make. During the quest Finding the Thieves Guild, you can report to Hieronymus Lex about the Thieves Guild recruiter, Armand Christophe, which he met with two thieves that you need to arrive at 12:00 AM to capture Armand and the thieves with Hieronymus at your side which would start the quest called, Finding the Gray Fox, to find and capture Gray Fox and completing that quest resulting a disband of the Thieves Guild, Gray Fox arrested, and receive a 500 gold bounty or 1,000 gold bounty, and a 10 points of fame. And later, the last quest after the Finding the Gray Fox that he was interrogated and revealed to be the Countess of Anvilās lost husband that he will be forgiven to be reinstated as a Count of Anvil and a Leveled weapon, Judgement, that itās an enchanted mace that damages Personality attributes, Agility attributes, and Speed attributes along with damage Fatigue to wear them out and could possibly charm and demoralize the enemies that they tend to not fight you and they could either run away from you, or turn themselves in if theyāre in the cities or near the guards.

Deleting spells please. Spell menu management is already difficult with categories by touch self and target and no illusion, alteration, etc categories.
Remove level scaling(delevel content), make player skills have smaller effect so balancing is easier(for you). Its not very fun that you dont see that you have grown stronger, because everyone else grows stronger too. OR squash down the scaling of everything
More Steam achievements for completing side tasks (Buying all player houses, closing a certain number of Oblivion gates, maxing out a / all skills, etc.)
Bethesda, please make it so that the quest markers arenāt so vague, perhaps make them more like the ones in Skyrim, they seem to just show you roughly where to go and then once you get there, there are no instructions, and I feel like that turns off many new players, including myself also please change or fix the persuasion mini game as well as the lock picking it has pretty much halted the game for me and I would love to enjoy this game and itās entirety without all of the road blocks.
I know there are OG players who think the game should be the way it is and thatās fine, maybe add separate option that can be toggled on or off, but coming from a new player like myself who started with Skyrim and sunk hundreds of hours into it, these changes are necessary for maximum enjoyment .

same with the bright silver daedric armor no longer being its iconic black and red, honestly
After 50 hours of playtime, I would like to alter my character's appearance somewhat, different hairstyle, maybe some gray hairs or darker skin. Can we have an NPC or a potion at current clothing vendors for like 1000 gold, to change these things? Would be nice since third person is very good right now
Oblivion is still great, but the lack of a German translation is a huge handicap for someone who barely speaks English. Even the German dub from back then would have been perfectly sufficient to make everything easier. As it is now, I can't create a good sense of immersion. Translated by Google - how else š¤Ŗ
It would be nice to have custom staffs, as they are they're not the best weapons ever but it would be fun for RP and wouldn't be hard to implement, just have blank staves available for purchase and maybe put a few in the frostcrag spire vault and let them be enchanted by soul gems
Can I suggest adding kill animations to the combat? It was so amazing seeing a cool kill animations during combat in skyrim. It made me feel like a badass And although it was never in the original Oblivion, it would be really cool to add. A long with possible duel wielding.

Id like to scroll faster in menus with controller. In skyrim i could use the dpad+thumbstick together to trick the game into it.
Please optimise the game for all platforms.
Fast travel from within buildings.
The compass HUD UI that tells you how many steps away from undiscovered locations you are from them and the name of a place you've never been before under the compass is awful for immersion. Make a toggle for it to be turned off.
Add Mark and Recall and Divine Intervention. Before anyone says it would break certain scripted moments, disable teleportation during those moments and in certain locations, like in Morrowind
Also add guild guides like in Morrowind who can teleport you to other guild halls
A toggle for female/male variants of armour/clothing, for those of us who perfer a more non-binary style etc.
When you run out of one type of arrow like daedric for example, it should switch to ebony arrows if you have them and so on and so forth.
Instead I find myself having to go back to the menu to swap arrows and I just feel it takes the immersion out.

Being able to repair armor and weapons from their respective menus, rather than hunting for my repair hammer every time, would be a nice QOL update
More trophies / achievements
I agree with some of the other users that the jump from adept to expert is to great. Adept I can stand still and left click anything, expert enemies are invincible. Somewhere in the middle would be perfect - LVL 25

I would love a shortcut in the map to go to the interior mode, instead of have to zoom in all the way then zoom in again
an option to have the zoomed in map as the default would be fantastic. or a quick way to get there without either having to zoom in manually, or drag your mouse over to click to tiny bubble in the upper right.
or at least if you have zoomed it in, and leave and come back have it be zoomed in like you left it.
My biggest suggestion is difficulty with either a slider to customize it or a middle ground between Adept and Expert. My biggest problem coming from an avid Souls player I enjoy my difficulty but when it's a spongy difficulty it takes away the fun. Adept puts me to sleep as you take hardly any damage and no real threats from the enemies I feel. With expert why I love the threat enemies bring the amount of dmg I put in is way too low to enjoy the "dance of death" that I love to call 1v1 battles when they happen.
I think we should have a second hotkey wheel! I feel like we need more slots for weapons, potions, & spells. š

Id like to move my character around while having the radial wheel up. I love that it doesnt pause time like the quick thing in skyrim did because that really broke the flow of the combat, but being able to move with the left stick whiel using the right stick to select the thing on the wheel seems doable, right now it does nothing.
hi im mage in oblivion and i learn i can creat spell BUT 1 BIG problem i cant delete useless spells that i created so my magic menu get messy very soon(can we have froget spell button?) the spell creation is soo fun and i want experiment it future pls add this feather Thank love your workā¤ļø
Add weapon rack / armor stands to player homes including the old dlc ones so we can admire the new models and designs
and a Photomode or a way to toggle the hud to take better screenshots without the use of console commands
I think that new Akatosh quest could be edited.
I think itās kinda annoying to have to go through the dungeon once only to be turned back around to go to the same person who gave you the quest just so you can run through the dungeon again.
Just make that quest more convenient, let the player only need to run it once.

Quests with killable npcs that you need to protect have a fighting chance at higher levels. Backpacks and satchels that add to carry weight. Combign two of the same sigil stone to make it a more powerful enchantment (like fortify magic 30x2 = 60 but make it a little better like 2.5 times to make it 75) so you have more incentive to close more gates and dont necessarily need to quick save and load if you keep getting the same kinds of stones or get less powerful ones earlier in the game. Making storing objects easier - i didnt know i could store objects at first. All the crashes on ps5 - i get one every 3p min or so
ā¦Adamus Phillipa is swimming in his full armour.
Please let us acquire the Imperial watch Armour
Please give us a way to un-learn or hide spells we donāt need anymore
Please enable physics for the rest of clothing, there's multiple dresses/shirts that don't have physics enabled that should
Loot Menu like Fo4 or Starfield would be a great addition
I would like to see another "favorites" or spell wheel. More slots, so to speak.
Wonāt be the first to suggest this and wonāt be the last but please fix the level scaling of enemies! Either the changes to combat and damage, you end up becoming much less powerful than you used to and not in a fun way. Iām level 32 on adept, using sword of the crusader/umbra with a spell that does 99 damage, 33 of each element and it takes forever to kill things. Same thing with my level 19 archer. Level scaling needs to be fixed because currently the player is the most powerful at level 1, decreasing in power each level no matter skill level/attribute
Performance patch when????
The simple ability to disable DLC plugins would be fantastic. As far as I have found, there is no way to do so in the Remastered version. I'd like to disable Knights of the Nine and avoid the attack on Anvil Chapel, but attempts to do so end up with a crash to desktop on game startup.

While the melee combat trees do have special moves and fun new animations, I think Unarmed could use a little more love. Kicks, knees, elbow strikes, anything of that sort to make the strike combos look more dynamic.
Please give us back the ability to place objects on shelves like books and other objects. Currently there is an invisible barrier in front of all shelves that prevents items from being put in them and it's a huge bummer. This was one of my favorite features of the original. I have such nostalgic memories of filling the entire double bookshelf in Rosethorn Hall 1 book at a time. I would love to be able to do that again.
I have been enjoying oblivion on my PlayStation 5 so far itās been enjoyable with little to no bugs
One suggestion, I would really like to have a optimization patch or be able to scale down certain things to be easier on my console so it doesnāt run too hot
Honestly I would love to see unique weapons and armor level with the player like umbra, I stubbed across some unique stuff while journeying and messed myself up due to grabbing it not at lvl 20, also duel welding would be nice as well
spell check signs. Lelles' Quality Mercandise?
Ability to delete old unused spells would be nice (w/out having to use console commands)
Make the Dark Brotherhood door spooky again!
Coming in to repeat a request -- Give us a legendary blacksmith that can upgrade the unique levelled loot to the better teirs as the player catches up. It's the final barrier to free-play exploration.
That was always a joke in game wasn't it? Like an actual plot point mentioned in dialogue lol
Anyways here's a genuine suggestion that applies to this game (rare here): restore the physics of objects that were for some reason left static (mostly this is an issue with all chained chandeliers)

Add butt size sliders
with the new voice actors and actresses, it'd be cool to have the option to choose which voice we want to use for our character. easily selected in the same page of the race and origin.
I'd love to see finisher moves similar to those in Skyrim. Impalement, beheading, slicing throats from stealth, etc. Something more than the same few animations over and over.
Make hotkey shortcuts persist even when you're out of the item. It's annoying having to reset them when you run out of items or when a quest takes your inventory.
Remove the cap of 100 for stats, or maybe set thresholds? Like a cap of 100 for levels 20 and below, 200 for 40 and below
I'm leveling so fast I worry I'll hit the cap soon
going to use this hour's comment to thank you guys for putting this much effort into making the game good ā¤ļø
Still not being able to fight the lich at the end of "lost boy's cavern" before level 23 is strange. Im not sure why that wasnt changed or if it was just a bug that went overseen. Im not sure if the bug still exists where if you come back after level 23 you still cant fight it but I'll check. Its just very likely that a player would find this place before that level and it kind of ruins that quest a bit.

I'd like to see a way to hide or remove spells from the magic menu so my spell list doesn't get cluttered with lower-levels that I've effectively replaced and will never use again.
I'll post a pretty easy suggestion. How about traveling merchants? Similar to Skyrim. Instead of always having to go to one town or the other. You can have specific merchants traveling the roads and you can sell your goods too them?
I feel like the number one long term goal for the remaster should be releasing official mod tools, game is awesome but a new golden age of elder scrolls modding would be wonderful
I want to pitch a story-based dlc that takes the Champion of Cyrodiil to Akavir to chase after the Nerevarine, then a second chapter that deals with the entirety of Morrowind and the subsequent Red Year
needs a button to switch between local map and world map, this was in the original
Suggestion: When it comes to vampire eyes, let us pick at character creation what our character's eyes would be if they were a vampire.
The difficulty settings are too extreme. Adept is way too easy, but expert is way too hard. On adept I take almost no damage and kill everything in a few hits, and on expert I do almost no damage and die in a few hits. There needs to be a happy medium. In my opinion expert would be perfect if the enemies didnāt have such a crazy amount of health. Iām fine with the risk of dying quickly as long as Iām still capable of killing enemies. Taking 5 minutes to kill a single bandit is no fun.
Make the Spider-Daedra hair useable for the player. Whether race specific, or available for every one is up to yāall
Minimap in the corner please! At least for the dungeons.
I thought expert was fun at first... Now I'm level 15 and I literally have to dark souls boss fight everything for my life it's a bit insane. And then if you pop over to adept it's just hack and slash straight through with 0 challenge and having less than 1/6 of my health lost no matter what I'm up against. I vividly remember a difficulty slider that was super dope and you could kind of just like slide it to where it should have been in the first place.
Add a friendly Panda into the game please.
Suggestion: a solid photo mode would be a long dream come true. It would help showcase the amazing work that's gone into this and allow us to create memorable instances frozen in time and edited to perfection. Would love this
Add proper arm clothes since it should not be limited to handcuffs since it ruins the asthetics to have to use that to get an arm slot. But yeah it is a great game but this should be done because of spell effectiveness. If is too much work then removed the penalty for the arm slots to make up for hence allowing spell caster to use something other than the prisoner wrist cuffs.

Definitely mod tools
Werewolf themed DLC
I know itās a far reach however itād be awesome to be able to go on adventures with your friends such as like Skyrim together works I know itās a crazy thing to ask but itād be cool to go and save Cyrodiil with at least one buddy
-
Mods on console.
-
Explored / Cleared tag on dungeons.
It would be nice if we had left and right thumbstick deadzone options in the controller settings on PC and Console.
Iād like to see some of the removed features from Morrowind like climbing and multiplayer š¤«
allied health bars showing up after looking at them for a time (like the bruma gate quest)
-
Previously equipped weapons stay in place after swapping, if you swap to something in a different slot. Meaning if you equip a longsword and then equip a claymore, the claymore will be your active weapon and sheathe on your back, but the longsword would visibly stay on your hip, and vice versa if you swap back.
-
Clean up the jitteriness of walk animations when moving outside the 4 cardinal directions
-
The full move speed gradient of barely tilting the stick to barely move all the way up to full speed, rather than preset āwalkā and ārunā speeds.
-
De-prioritize quests so I have nothing selected
I would like a quest that is only optional as an argonian to kill the countess of leyawiin that triggers somehow after she is made non-essential.
I really hate her lol she is so shady and I feel at least as an argonian specifically you should be able to bring her to justice in someway.
Slowdown gameplay when using the radial wheel.
I am in love with the remastered graphics and have been thoroughly enjoying the lighting and raytracing, but I miss the bloom of the OG oblivion. It added a mystical feel that I miss. I there a way to add back a bloom slider into the graphics settings to give back a little bit of the glow?

My Suggestions:
- Creation Club/Mod Support for all consoles
- Photo Mode
- Adjustable Difficulty like in the OG (not the current system we have now)
- Map Markers for cleared locations
- DLC
- Blacksmithing
- Being able to disenchant all armor and robes in the game for custom builds (example: i want to be able to customly enchant the dark brotherhood robes)
- Vampire Lord and Werewolf
- Killcam animations (toggle on and off for people who donāt want it on)
Please stop the frequency in spam of the notification saying that you're out of manner, your incumbed and whatever reason, it's really frustrating how it's just flashing at you constantly. Even in the main menu, it's still flashing at you
So please remove it. Just make it one time thing and have a disappear please
Please add another hotkey wheel, 8 simply isn't enough when you have so many spells and items. Also PLEASE fix the stutter and optimize performance on PS5, it really takes away from the immersion of the game.
Add a giant dwemer centurian for no particular reason. Like the size of a mountain. Give it the heart of a god.
in quest: repairing the orrery replace the cog images with something better, it's confusing and they look just like dwarven shields.
This is a non-balance issue that would drastically improve the gameplay as we spend a significant amount of time in our magic and inventory screens - expandable sub-items, placed at the TOP of each category. For example: arrows, alchemist tools, keys, notes, Tools (torches, hammers and lockpicks), enchanting supplies (soul gems and sigil stones) and ingredients (in the title). Just have a pseudo item that can be activated to expand/collapse andinside it is where all your keys or whatever. Have it inherit the general filter (a-z, DMG, value, etc). A STOLEN item folder would be great as well....
Horses are way too slow, please speed them up
My suggestion is for the map, or more specifically for the map markers. I would love it it there could be a difference between the marker for an open Oblivion Gate and a different one for a closed/destroyed one - like perhaps it could simply be the same as the original one, but split in two, or cracked. As it currently stands I have a map full of Oblivion Gates and no way to tell if I have closed one or not without trudging over to each to check it out.
Make the Cursed Mace you get from the Molag Bal shrine an essential item that canāt be dropped until the associated quest is complete. Right now it is possible to drop or sell, and players who do so without a prior save available will not be able to complete the quest. I dropped it because I forgot it was a quest item and had to reload and replay some content.
You need to be able to drop it for the quest, making it essential so you can't drop it would make the quest impossible.
when i toggle off map markers, can they stay that way the next time i open the map?
Please add VR support. VR was the best way I experienced Skyrim, would love to play Oblivion VR
Hello and may the Nine Divines watch over you. My only suggestion for this wonderful remaster is to have the ability to change our appearance/faces after leaving the sewers.
I'd like to be able to immediately see what size soul is in the soul gem.
Please improve combat and make it more dynamic and interesting! After an hour or two of fighting,it gets old and boring pretty fast, because it's outdated. Add executions to it and some type of injury on the enemies, just like in Skyrim how some people turn to ash from fire spells or burned to a crisp from shock spells. With executions in mind, add some for stealth. Please allow more races to have access to the vampire eyes, instead of just Imperials,Orcs and Khajits, with that in mind, allow them to stealth feed on unsuspecting people and not just those sleeping.
An extra quick slot wheel, when you hold lb add another when you follow up with rb.
Please Somehow fix the save files from being completely deleted.
Hi, I love this remaster for the most part, but I think that it has disrespected the design of the original trolls.
The troll being redesigned to exclude their third eye changes a weird, fantastical design into a generic, boring, standard fantasy design, which Oblivion is anything but. I'd like to see the troll, and other similar design decisions restored!
Make some of the amor thatās isnāt like the original more like it, I would say so far the only armor sets and pieces to disappoint is the champion arena gear, Blackwoodās set, and the shields for battle horn castle, just want them more like the original
Let us pick the voice we want for our characters instead of being forced to use a specific one
Update enemies to stop them from defaulting to attack the playerās horse š“
I would really appreciate a toogle Hud/Compass Hotkey Option šš
My items are disappearing from their containers. I am NOT using respawning/rerolling containers, however, for some reason, bits and pieces of my collection go missing. Sometimes, I ātake allā and they will magically show back up. But now, many of the items I left in their respective places, like jewelry boxes, and chests of drawers, randomly, seemingly, just go missing. Even after looting, doing the waiting 3 days thing, they are not back at all. This really sucks for collectors, after Iāve spent so much time hunting down this loot. It seems to happen in every single house that I have. The imperial city, cheydinhall, and now Deepscorn Hollow. I now fear using any container at all to store my leveled items in.
Bigger text for the amount of gold that you're looting, quick button on console controller for opening the local map, PLEASE!
Make the Mythic Dawn bound armor usable by players and given when you shortly join them ! That a community dream from 2006 ! Pretty pls
Fix the Shimmering on Trees and shadows and Foilage when using DLSS as well as the GHOSTING PLEASE
Amazing game, would be GOATED on PSVR2
-Local map mode toggle. I hate having to scroll in every time I want to check the map while in town shopping or in a dungeon just to see where I am going or have been. If anything, local should be default and zooming out to get a wider view instead.
-Category sorting in inventory should be more refined. Schools of magic for the spells. Potions and ingredients separated a bit like the OG organization etc. would make things a lot easier.
-I know it was a mechanic added in Skyrim, but I would oh so love to have dual-casting brought to the remaster of oblivion. The spell system is amazing and it would be so fun to use one in each hand.
This remaster is really a loveletter to the fans and is incredible to play after all these years.
I would like to alter my character appearance, either a potion at a vendor, that could work after sleeping, or an npc at the thieves guild could do this.
2 handed weapons are way under powered, damage too little for how slow they are, no shield bash either. This makes a lot of weapons unusable at higher difficulties.
Hey Bethesda team!
Just wanted to drop a quick suggestion for Oblivion Remastered ā it would be awesome if you could include full voiceovers in each language like in the original game. It really helped with immersion back then, and it'd mean a lot to players around the world to have that same experience again.
Thanks and keep up the great work!
Ability to carry and place a small camp site like a fur tent and a bed roll when exploring remote areas would be great for immersion.
Just give us mod support on consoles. You didnāt even fix all the bugs that the Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixed literally over a decade ago, so I donāt have any faith youāre going to fix the game. Just let us have mods on consoles so modders can fix in five minutes what you canāt seem to find the time to fix.
German Voice! š©šŖ
Swimming up and down controls, maybe jump to go up, sneak to go down.
At the moment it can be quite frustrating to go up or down, especially in third person.
The more I play the remaster the more I think there was very little thought that went into the UI. People must have playtested it, right? It really is clunky as hell; info that should be shown is hidden like carry weight when looting, it's disorganised, alchemy is really bad and frustrating to use (and you can no longer gamble on ingredients going together? Why?), transferring items requires too many button presses, can't see skill progress when bartering, talking, lock picking etc, no easy toggle between world and local map, no auto local map in dungeons and no local map zoom. The original UI worked so well on console but its been pointlessly rebuilt to now be awful. Imo, UI should be a priority to be rebuilt.
Also agree with tetra about the physics, they're very stiff now compared to the original.
-Add a fast travel waypoint on the map over every player home that brings us DIRECTLY to our bedroom. I hate having to trudge all the way there from the entrance.
-once we enter the final room in a dungeon of any kind, put an āescapeā rope or something that teleports us back to the entrance. The run back to the entrance is boring as hell.
Add a 'Favorites' section in magic menu and/or a 'hide' functions for spells you dont need anymore (like weaker version).
Enhance the quick wheel with a second level, so per 1 of 8 slots you get another 2-3 slots. Let us throw all these spells.
Two handed weapons need to buffed to justify using them over a one hander and shield. They need to do noticeably more damage with a blocking debuff. Thank you.
After the Battle of Kvatch, let it be rebuild over time
Generally the game is real fun and I am glad you are willing to hear our voices and feedback.
Thank you for the opportunity!
I would suggest bringing the game to a stable state for everyone to enjoy first before thinking about QOL.
The main issue:
Stuttering
They are not only annoying while traversing the world. It breaks the immersion of a "Open World" and scenery.
I presume this could be fixed with a possible future optimization patch.
Thank you for your hard work and this exceptionally beautiful game.
There's only 2 things I'd like to suggest for this game, adding Vampiric Drain to Vampirism, and a way to change the appearance/race of your character. Those would be nice. :D
For the PS5 fix the performance issues please. It stutters and drops frames when loading into a new area from fast traveling, and the textures take a few seconds to load in.
I think the difficulty needs tweeked. In adept you get a good balance but if you decide to go down to apprentice make it easier itās not as fun. At least let the character get few blows in before they go down. Think it needs an in between easier difficulty but not be in god mode.
Please give us some difficulty sliders for our damage/enemies damage. Or adjust difficulty to be more of a fair challenge on expert
Please add a local map toggle
Bring unique audio back for different containers. Each container used to have its own sound effects.
Adding an easier way to actually decorate your home with all of the wonderous trinkets and artifacts would be super appreciated as the way to place items in your home is extremely tedious and finicky as the slightest pixel of wrong movement sends your items flying all over the place possibly wrecking all the hard work already done to place your items. This is especially frustrating for OCD people hehe. Instead of having to quick save and quick load after every wrong move please add something that makes the items either not collide or spin around like crazy when picked up in your home. Thanks
Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game and I'm happy that there is a Remaster. Here are my suggestions:
- German language like in the Original game. No need to record new voice lines. Just readd the old dub, but with lipsync.
- First person view on horseback like in the Original game.
idk if it has already been said but can we please get the shield stored on back when unequipped
Increase leveling speed for Block
My shield gets used a lot and yet I barely scratch the surface of levelling the block skill
Not asking for a huge buff but add a little more to it.
Iām loving the game so far, but Iād really like to see item scaling revamped. Itās my main gripe by far.
Itās tedious having to avoid a quest until you can get the best leveled reward from it (Sigil stones, uniques, etc). Waiting till level 17 to go to Kvatch was less than ideal. (Maybe Iām a little OCD.)
If the rewards scaled retroactively up to max level I think thatād be perfect.
Class packs. So themed spells, enchantments, items, abilities and themed content for different class archetypes. For example, necromancer, summoner, druid, knight, bard, cleric etc.
Please a better way to move and rotate objects (like R.E.P.O) cause it's a mess to decorate a home.
barber

Most of these are menus and hud related since i think its what i keep noticing
- Allow me to stay on the local map mode if I left the map screen with it open
- Option to let the game pause itself when I tab out instead of eating all of my GPU
- Either let Unique items level up with the player or use Armorer to help us upgrade them
- Better item sorting (Sort by type or family, healing potions are together, all daggers are together etc)
- Showing weight by price calculation, maybe have this as mercantile perk
- Ability to search specific items for people with keyboards
- Loot Menu like in Fallout 4 (even just as an option on the menu) pls
- Our weight should be visible when looting things
- Repair button when on equipment, craft potion button when on ingredients, recharge on magical items
- Have enemy weapons be attached to the corpse, I donāt have to look for it through the foliage.
- Hud toggle on the key bindings
- Hud opacity option
- Hud timeout to autohide when not in combat (let the bars shows up when low)
- For spells, have an ignored tab where you can put older spells into (if you donāt want us to delete them) along with a tag system that allows us to sort them via whatever is tagged (like only show those tagged with a Roman Numeral IV)
- Swapping spell via the number shortcuts makes the name flash (and maybe its mana cost?) for a second as the symbols looks too similar
- Please let the menu remember which option I have on or just let us see all the info as it is; I donāt want to press H then C just to check what my items does
- If a bound weapon expires and I have mine holstered, only play a sound notification without unholstering whatever weapon I have originally equipped
- Have torches replace the one that fizzled out if itās on the shortcuts
- Level up icon could be more subtle when ignored for long enough.
- All items tab should probably be on the left

Make the game recompile shaders when we update our GPU driver so we aren't forced to delete folders to force shader compilation and get performance back
Body slider
I wanna be a big chonk
Gloves. Please add non armor gloves
On PS5, Autosaves shouldn't show in the Save menu, only in the Load menu. I always have to sort through all the Autosaves to find my manual save files.

Explored / Cleared tag on Dungeons.
⢠fixing the clipping in the divine crusader armor. Looks great when standing still in third person, but soon as you ready for battle the shoulders covered in chain mail, and the neck clip the character skin through it.
ā¢perhaps a key ring?
⢠I know there wasnāt a person to change the characters appearance, like in Skyrim, but maybe there can be. A mirror of changing? A sorcerer surgeon? Iād even take just a barber.
Please make the trollās third eye more pronounced/visible
Please take pants off Lucien Lachance corpse and zombies.
Allow Players to remain in Sneak mode while mid-air. Currently being in mid-air (even if it's just from going down a very small step) will cause you to not count as sneaking and will alert enemies facing away from you. This is very frustrating for sneaky characters.

have enemy npcs (like in dungeons) be more like regular npcs, talking with other bandits or conjurers or even sleeping and eating and such, allowing a more dynamic dungeon delve and also not making them so quiet when stealthing around.
A way to directly equip armor/weapons from defeated enemies would be cool!
Maybe also show players weight in the meantime
A dungeon pack which would add many new dungeons across the game world varying from miniscule single zone dungeons up to epic 20+ zone adventures; including new Oblivion zones and powerful new sigil stone effects. New puzzles, loads of new artefacts, followers with proper follower mechanics and who will comment on your location and engage with NPCs as you explore. Also with new enemy types from Online such as twilights and the grievous twilights, ash titans, harvesters, basilisks and durzogs.
Transmogrify armor option please. Sometimes I prefer drip over utility/stats
Add iframes to the dodge ability. Maybe even make it where it's usable just with your weapon out instead of having to block.
I'm towns/dungeons the map should default to the zoomed in "indoor map"
I know this is probably too much.
But I would absolutely love to have the melee directional power-attack effects back.
It added a lot of flavour into the combat. Disarming an opponent and stealing their weapon, knocking them off a ledge, etc.
right stick should pan the map. dragging the cursor around to pan is slow and laborious.
Increased number of quick slots.
Extremely frustrating thing: losing virtue points on level up if i have too many things leveled, genuinely feels like garbage
Currently i have only personality and luck left, so i can only allocate 9 out of 12 of my virtues, there should be an override that when you only have 2 skills left you can go over the 5 points per
+1, please fix this

Please make an armor hole for Argonian tails! That is all thank you so much!
Picking things up with the USE key, shouldn't count as stealing
It would be nice to know which items are currently equipped when using repair hammers. If I am wearing a steel cuirass and also carrying five steel cuirasses, how do I know which one to repair? š
And I know it changes the game completely but the Skyrm quick access menu is really missed in this game. Sucks only having 8 quick slots.
Add ability to rent out owned property. The feature could add a person to talk to, or an item to interact with, that would open a menu to choose which owned property to rent. If you choose to rent a property, a time based gold accrual system would begin (Say 70G/every in-game week for Waterfront Shack, for example), and an NPC would occupy the interior cell of the property. You could even set the bed inside the home as āownedā. There would be a higher incentive to own all the possible property in the game, as you could make one your player home and the rest as passive income.
Killmoves like in skyrim
BUT ONLY IF THEY CAN BE TURNED ON or OOOOFF
Romanceable Mehrunes Harbringer.
Blackwood armor was hugely downgraded. https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/comments/1k6um36/they_cooked_so_hard_with_literally_every_other/
an option to thank the gaurds when you cheese the enemy XD
Capes! We need capes for the game. Physics are already here. Would love to see a cape for each set of armor along with a matching hood. Especially for the two deluxe sets, imperial legion and mithril
I would like to see the āDodgeā of light work be given an invincibility time to āDodgeā as it has no use other than to keep distance from the enemy.
HDR support please š
Add additional hot-key bar/radial menu. The single one on R is nowhere near enough. Add a search feature to the inventory and spell menu. Add a toggle to hide spells and a toggle to lock equipment so it's not accidentally sold.
I think it'd be cool if we had a marriage mechanic like skyrim with the amulet of Mara
Please fix the Cloud Saves on steam. Manual fixes should not be necessary!
Between my ROG Ally and PC, they do not sync, and there's no issue with other titles (including other Bethesda titles).
Currently, I have to manually copy the saves from my OneDrive documents folder (I've disabled one drive and don't even use it, so why is it defaulting to the one drive folder?) to my normal Documents folder on my c drive.
This needs to be done every single time I switch devices currently.
I hope we can eventually get mod support for consoles.
Modding is such a huge part of TES series. Understandably, performance should come first, but like Skyrim, it would be nice to get mods later down the line.
Changes to Soul Trap/Weapon Recharging
- Recharging enchanted weapons is currently a pain because you need ot dive into the menus so often to recharge. This could be helped in a number of ways.
-
An easier way of "reloading" magic weapons without going into the menu. Maybe add an option from the quick select hotbar for "recharge weapon" or something.
-
If you are recharging a weapon and it requires multiple soul gems, do not kick the player back out into the menu every time they use one. Either add an option to "fully recharge" the weapon or at least keep us in the recharge menu rather than backing out every time.
-
You could also alter Soul Trap so that it first recharges equipped magic weapons directly with only the excess going into a soul gem.
-
Another option would be to have it work like it did in Morrowind, where magic times would recharge over time based on how high your Enchanting skill was. While Enchanting no longer exists in Oblivion, it could be swapped for the Mysticism skill, since that is where Soul Trap is now categorized. Just something so you aren't constantly needing to swap into the menus.
Argonians should swim faster
- A favoriting option, like seen in skyrim would be nice (Press a button, favorite an item, then it appears on the top of the item-list)
If future DLC is planned at all, I think it would be awesome to complement each Guild quest with an "opposing" path. The two obvious ones are questlines to destroy the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves guild as a law-abiding character (these would grant you fame instead of infamy), and you could add an "evil" pathway to the Mages Guild where you join the King of Worms and destory the Mages Guild, and an "evil" pathway to the Fighters Guild where you join the Blackwood Company and destroy the Fighters Guild (these would grant you infamy instead of fame).
A button or shortcut to see local map without zooming would be nice and prolly not very difficult to implement
more blood
- Allow reverse-pickpocketing, especially of poisons.
Repeating that we could really use the difficulty slider back. Ideally, two sliders. one for damage taken and one for damage dealt. Hopefully enough people have said this that difficulty options will be looked at š

Please make all Vampires have different eye colours and skin changes, not only specific races. My breton vampire looks like a ill character without looking like a real vampire. Even in phase 4.
The player character movement, needs to be reworked a bit.
I have 2 short videos to show the examples but the server won't let me upload it.
So hopefully my description is enough.
In the original depending on how much you push the joystick forward it determines your character's speed and they can go from a slow walk to a brisk walk to a light jog then to a full run, but in this remaster when using a controller ,when pushing the joystick forward the character literally goes from walking to running no in between like in the original Oblivion, and that is what a lot of players like me who are used to playing the original are a bit annoyed at. The walking to a player could be too slow for them so they might want to go a little bit faster but not too fast where it's a full-on run.
Again the original had movement transition that went from slow walk to a brisk walk to a light jog then to a full run depending on how far you push the control stick forward, the remaster is just slow walk to full run. No matter what angle you have the control stick it's either slow walk or full-on run.
By having it like that the movement going forward feels limited.
Can we please get first person horse riding back it was even in the trailer you did!
i wish they let reanimate be on the custom spell list after getting risen flesh.
My number one request right now is console mod support. I cannot believe Bethesda didn't capitalize on adding Creation Club to the game. If there are plans to do so, it'd be a good thing to announce. But if anything, Xbox mod support pretty please!!!
I know it's a very old bug but for the love of God fix the Knights of the nine followers so I can make them go away lmao
1st - Xbox Series X it's running worse than PS5, with PS5 running at higher resolutions; 2nd- This game has some problems with menus, sometimes getting bugged, like Pressing A on controle to enter the save file, but instead, it's asking to you if you want to delete it. 3rd-sometimes the game don't pass trought load screen on PC. 5th- The game sometimes crash all of sudden (Fatal Error!)
Dear Developers,
I would like to express my gratitude for your work and for bringing back to life the legendary game ā The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. This iconic project has left a lasting impact on the hearts of many players around the world, including those of us who speak Russian and Ukrainian.
With that in mind, I would like to kindly ask you to consider adding Russian and/or Ukrainian localization, at least in the form of subtitles. Many players have limited English proficiency, and having translated subtitles would make the story, quests, and overall atmosphere of the game much more accessible and enjoyable. This, in turn, could attract even more fans to the remaster.
Oblivion is a game with a rich world and deep narrative, and being able to fully experience it in oneās native language would be a huge gift to many fans.
Thank you in advance for your attention and understanding!
We definitely need the original French voice acting with proper lip-sync.
Add more Icons for magic types so you can see if its a self, touch or target spell from the icon.
Also better inventory sorting.
Bethesda. Why do you guys put all the keys individually in the misc. menu instead of making a keyring that consolidates them all? It makes going through my misc. tab on consoles headache inducing. If I wanna see if I'm missing a particular key or something, I inspect the keyring. Easy.
My items are disappearing from non-respawning/rerolling containers in my purchased homes in the major cities and/or the inherited homes I have through the included DLCās. This is terrible, as some of us are collectors, and we like to acquire all the unique loot in the game. When our unique loot just magically disappears and we canāt go get it anymore, that feels really bad. Feels terrible being a console player for this. I donāt have the community mods to fix these issues.
Streamline the goblin war mechanic into an actual quest line with quest steps
The addition of a survival mode, as implemented in the Skyrim "Survival Mode" Creation, would be great; I find the need to eat/sleep and the inability to fast travel greatly increases my immersion in, and enjoyment of, such games. Additionally, inclusion of some features in survival-adjacent creations (namely, "Camping," to an extent "Adventurer's Backpack," and ideally "Fishing," although implementation of that may not be feasible) would be nice, if survival mode were to be added.

Add farkle, gwent, and caravan to oblivion
I was going to make my own suggestion but would like to second the one about Survival Mode for Oblivion that other people have already made. It was such a huge and immersive addition for Skyrim and wouldn't be out of place for Oblivion either in my opinion.
Has anyone suggested maybe having cinematic kills and stealth kills like Skyrim?
It would be great to have Skyrim/Fallout 4 style mannequins that armor and weapons can be displayed on
I think a really good idea for improvements sake is to provide players with two different modes, one that remains as close to classic as possible, and one that has a ton of improvements/changes to the game. Might be something that can't be changed without making a new save, but would help lessen the worry of changing too much from the original game.
Make the Blackwood armor black agin. It's indistinguishable from normal steel armor.
Please add a difficulty between adept and expert

Could we get actually black Blackwood armor like in the OG?
Psst hey. Unlock skills and attributes
In spell making, all of the lamest animations seem to take priority over the cool ones when it comes to what it looks like when you cast a custom spell. Maybe some ability to influence which effects are used. I think it used to be by whichever effect was the largest mana cost. Currently the game seems to always prioritize frost damage animations if those are part of the spell, then weakness to x animations, then lastly the cool shock and fire damage animations. So if you want to cast a cool fireball, or lightning blast, you basically can't have any other effects in the spell or else you will just be casting some form of blue light at enemies.
Please consider tuning the leveled lists for encounters so that entire species don't go extinct just because my character is now level 15. It would be great to see a blend of lower and higher level creatures in dungeons.
The blackwood armor is no longer black. https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/s/YCZ733XDqn
If any of these suggestions get implemented Iād love a big settings tab for them to turn on or off depending on how improved you want the game
Can you have the UI show what charge is in a soul gem without having to go to a recharge menu?

Need creation kit!
I have two overall suggestions, but following the rules I'll only post one right now:
We need a better way to inspect the models of weapons, armor, etc. in the inventory. The new models and textures are so nice looking that I want to be able to appreciate them fully like how we can in Skyrim. So essentially a fullscreen version of the inspect we have right now with zoom in/zoom out controls
Can we get black armor for the sets that were originally black? Or dark
Please combine all item info to the first tab. Itās really hard to find item characteristics. And it seems like there enough space for essential info like weapon/armor type and enchantments

This could just be me, and i need to play some more. But hearing how great the magic system is, getting a bunch of spells and then realizing a ton of them pretty much look the same is underwhelming. Ill see the names of these spells, get hyped up at what they do, and realize theyre all weaker/stronger versions of the same spell. A real bummer as a mage when "Blazing Spear" is a mini fireball. Or coming from Skyrim when Fireball is a large explosive fire ball but then its the same look as the beginning spell, Flare.
Moving the spawn location to Frostcrag Spire closer to the spire itself
make that as a vampire, to not burn under the sun you have to wear a hood for the head and some clothes that protect the rest of the body
Could we please be able to independently scale the damage received and damage dealt rather than the current difficulty options
I would love an overall change to the difficulty settings that does it in a way more engaging way.
Like:
- 1x taken, 1x dealt - is the baseline
The settings then could be something like:
Novice: Enemies are quiet dumb, slow and walk straight at you
Adept: Enemies are semi aggressive and semi smart, doding more and block more
Master: Enemies are smart, use cover
Or just have better equipment. So on higher difficulty enemies are much more deadly since they have better armor AND are smarter.
If you kill them, you get a slight upgrade in you equipment. Kind of high risk, high reward.
I just don't like fiddling with some multipliers to generate damage sponges you have to hit like 168 times but being two shot...
AND, for the love of god, don't let the player change the difficulty on the fly.
Once set, its set. Also something i don't understand.
or:
Actually go the Starfield way and make a full user set difficulty with pros and cons. I think you did it pretty good there.
Leveling feels very fast. Iām level 25 at maybe 40 or so hours in. Iām yet to complete a single guild questline and I feel like Iām in Skyrimās endgame with how easy everything is and the level of loot Iām getting
I feel like I should be around level 15 or so instead of 25 at this point
Agro should be changed a bit. An enemy, especially one which the player hasn't even damaged, shouldn't chase you for half the map.
Books levelling up skills should be visible in the inventory.
Please let followers go into sneak when you do
Maybe restore the UI to be more in keeping with the original?
I.e get rid of the big opaque box that appears when you look at a locked gate? Nothing wrong with the original approach of presenting that information on the bottom right.
Dialogue options are also too small and too far to the edge of the screen - it breaks flow.
Make the blackwood armor variant as it does not currently exist. (No that 100% identical grey steel armor with a little tree on it doesn't count) Make it black like it used to please, it was one of the coolest armor. That and black hair!

Horseback combat, āclearedā indicator on map icons, reduce whatever it is that makes enemies in the wild chase you halfway across the map, also I donāt need battle music for wolves and rats. Would rather hear the ambient music.
I'd like to +1 moving the spawn point for frostcrag to the entrence but I actually came here to suggest better lighting in the joint. It's like I forgot to pay my electric bill and also forgot that as a wizard, I can cast permanent glowing orbs to light up a room.
Add I frames to dodge it doesnāt work half the time
Hi, please make a mod support, also, a console mod support
+1 to making Blackwood armor black, as well as allowing black hair
Add some mini-games, Gwent specifically.
immersive first person, give us a body, with shadows and stop enemies walking through us.
May be a small quality of life change but I'd love to have more control over items; ie, rotation, static or position lock on the items you pick up and move to make decorating housing easier and more efficient allowing players to really customize homes
Please keep the spirit of Oblivion in the next productions.
Fallout 4 and Starfield are its shadow in comparison
Character movement should be more like the original where you gradually increased your movement speed the more you tilted the analog stick allowing for different walking and running speeds. Currently you can only move in 1 walking speed and 1 base running speed. This effects sneaking as in the original you could be very slow and deliberate but now you can only move around in 1 speed in sneak mode. NPCs can't seem to choose a speed at times and will stutter going between walk and run cycle
I canāt get the master-wizard rank for the Mages Guild, which is locking me out of the platinum trophy. But I do have the Arch-Mage trophy, so a patch that would unlock all previous ranks in the Guilds if you hit the max rank would be huge

I noticed there was fish in the water at the end of Fort Blueblood. Like a good amount of randomly generated fish. There ought to be a difference between the water outside and the stagnant water inside a dungeon
jsut like subtitles in some chases like talking to the deadric princes on there shrines
Add physics to all the hanging lanterns. I have yet to find a single one that swings when you run into it.
It's weird seeing them hanging there by chains but being so stiff.
Bookshelves that function just like in Skyrim. Bookshelves in Oblivion are pointless to try to put books on. It's too frustrating to bother.
Just so yk there is a difficulty slider fix mod on nexus, takes like 2 seconds to add to your game
People love the magic system for the spellmaking system and the crazy combos you can stack or efficiencies you can reach. Ranged fire damage spells all just look like ranged fire damage spells
I used to be 100% fine with vanilla fast-travel, but something about this remake has me wishing for the old Mark and Recall spells from Morrowind. Maybe to get straight to a vendor when Iām weighed down or to warp straight back to my home when I want to stash some loot. It would be an immersive, in-Universe reason for all the zipping around Iām already doing.
Some way to give hand to hand better scaling would be great. Itās fun even with the fatigue rework, but the damage is middling at higher levels.

Option to toggle Helm visibility on or off.
We need a way to Delete Unwanted Custom Spells because they clutter up the menu and sometimes you want to get rid of weaker spells as you level up. Iām actually kind of shocked this isnāt already possible to do
Better control of 2h weapons (such as claymore), whether that be through skill/attribute increase or otherwise. Currently it's extremely difficult to switch to block after one swing.
Please bring mod support to Xbox or at least add options to revert all UI noises and voices to the original š
