In Skyrim I loved collecting the lusty argonian books for reasons and stacking them up in my dark brotherhood hideout Bookshelf
That’s odd. All features of the mod are meant to be disabled until it initializes, which occurs when a control panel appears in one of your ships for the first time. That can only happen after you edit your ship in the ship builder, so the the opening quest before you get to New Atlantis should be wholly unaffected by ILR. I will look into it, but you should still be able to fast travel in and out of your ship in the mean time. Once you edit the Frontier for the first time (getting the control panel to appear), you’ll get a remote deposited into your cargo hold.

Personally, I understand people like having decorated stuff, but when it comes to prefabs for outposts not only does it generate more bloat but also reduces the details for the building itself and costs more memory to build I just feel it's best to leave the deco to the player

is there a mod that makes POIs spawn a little farther apart? like just enough that I can reasonably place an outpost without area restrictions being way too common like they are in vanilla?
also those jars aren't showing up in the outpost menu... do they require research?

I mean some of it probably easy. But some of it hard as you'd have to make a whole new surface with clouds and replace current planet and then add restrictions to landing again unless you had right tools.

I reinstalled the game and I can't get the icon to land in Neon to appear. This happens to me when I delete the "Vanilla Landing Animations" mod. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem please?

🚩 I recommend not installing the "Vanilla Landing Animations" mod it literally breaks the game on all your saves and the only way to fix it is by going through unity.
I mean yea, installing things that drastically change ships mid game is probably going to do that

It removes the original icons so if you uninstall the mod the icons to land in Neon or Akila for example will not appear so you will not be able to land. The only solution is to go through the unit.

yeah it's a bit weird, since normally exterior things don't show up, but I found out while doing AME that if your stuff is out of the expected alignment it can clip into the interior spaces

check the shell that's for the neighboring hab too
and if those aren't it, go back to both interiors, check those, and then double check that you've got all layers visible in the ck

Not difficult at all, considering there's a hat already. It would need to be remapped and textured to get that beat up look and some light modeling to get the roping around it.
My Laptop gave out on me before I had the chance to try bringing it in, I hope to see in Starfield someday.
A lot of those mappings will not work, sheen, subsurface, gloss etc. An easier way would be to learn the mappings SF utilizes and their naming conventions (_metal,_rough, etc) and put the model through Substance.

Hi @south tulip Any future update for your Trident Luxury Habs mod? There's a few issues I'm still seeing on the Ares Bridge variant:
- The chair near the console in the middle, opposite of the navigation table is positioned too close to the console. Is it possible to move it back a little so we can assign a crew member to sit there using the Ship Crew Assignment mod.
- I keep getting paper towels from the top shelf falling down right at the entrance of the bridge, and the ladder on the side there keeps trying to push out of the wall. Can we just get rid of the paper towels and all the storage boxes in there? If it's about the metal beams sticking out behind the boxes, perhaps hide the whole alcove with a wall instead?

I think everything inside the bridge should be static. For now, I'm just going to use the console command to disable a few objects, including the chair, so I can just replace it with the one from the decorator.

So I keep running into this obnoxious bug that has not yet been fixed by bethesda in that intersystem links for outposts do not transport resources unless you manually fly to each connected outpost to "Initialize them" Has anyone in the modding community produced a solution to work around this and automatically initialize all outposts into memory on save load so I dont keep having to fly to my outposts to fix them each time I load a save

I usually just set the global NewUniqueLegendary value to 275. You still have to go through all the little quests but that skips all the required extractions.

Also, I'm not sure if you have noticed or not. The weapon racks on the Trident Ares Bridge. Only 2 of them works, the other two I can't even select or store my weapons there. But I did notice after playing for a while, that they randomly spawn weapons that I've never seen before there. Is it a bug, or deliberate?
One more thing, is there any way for the co-pilot seat on the right to be interactible, in the Trident Ares Bridge? I'm trying to find a way for a crew (Sam) to be assigned there as my copilot while flying. It just feels empty if an NPC can't sit on it.

Re: the CK update, materials will need to be re-extracted from ContentResources.zip if you work with those as those have changes, but script sources have not changed.
Hi, I tried CCT last night. I installed it in my LO where I think it belongs, early in my NG+, before Sam and Cora Coe are introduced into the game. When they did appear, she had no body. Just a head and forearms.
I assume its a conflict with one of my clothing mods? restarting didn't help. Moving it in the LO didn't help.
I was able to make her visible by installing a clothing item on her. So then I carried on, but when I arrived at the crashed ship to find Heller after he and Barrett were taken by the CF, no Heller. Just a blue dot. Not even an invisible Heller. He just wasn't there.
Uninstalled CCT, rolled back to a previous save, and all was well when I met heller next.
Not sure if this is a know issue, or what mod it might conflict with in my 5Gb LO (on Xbox I should say), but I hope others can help you sort this out. Would be nice to have a change to make cora a more useful member of my crew.
I'm thinking now it might be an Xbox texture issue. Lots of modders have trouble porting to Xbox at first. Since you've been asking in this thread about xbox textures, maybe connect with @zone79 or others who have successfully created clothing mods
Can you add new Traits to the game now that you can set the make it so you can't take certain other Traits? Before, you could only have it so you could not take one or two others, I want it to block 3.

This Mcclarence Outfits mod, how do you expand it to Akila City?
I turned Lyria into a plus-sized Va'ruun to the right by using the Stacked Female Outfits 2.0 Mod and the NPC Enhancer Gun Mod on my Xbox Series X. I also added a bit of age to her so she looked more like she was in her later 30's early 40's.
The executable, readme, and CreationKit - Shaders.ba2 file, from what I can see using File Explorer's Sort by Date Modified.

It's a trigger box with a script to kill all actors that trigger it that is enabled and then disabled 0.1 seconds later

The player can get killed by it too if they flip the switch and immediately run through the doors into the chamber

I think I already know the answer to this, but just in case; there any patch notes or changelogs for the new CK update that just released? I managed to find a youtube video that listed some new guide models for 3ds max (has there been a way to export from max that I'm not aware of or do we have to workaround through blender with the official guide files?) but that's it.

I use Ship Needs Gas with Ascension and its patch for Ship Needs Gas. I also use Deadly Hazards for environment gameplay systems. I must say these three mods together offer the best Starfield immersive experience.
The gameplay loop with Ships Needs Gas is very cool.
-As a low-level character, the first thing I did was to upgrade my ship's "gas tank" capacity to store 100 units of Helium-3.
- Now, before each long-distance grav-jump trip, I buy 300 units of Helium-3, store it in the cargo hold, and fill the ship's tank with 100 units.
- Now I take 2 missions from the terminal, which takes me to 2 separate locations in the galaxy. One long jump will use 80-90 units of Helium-3. Finish the mission and refill the tank. Jump to another planet that uses another 60-80 units and finish your mission and refill the tank to get back to home base (in my case, Neon).
- By the time you are back, you may have around 30–40 units of fuel remaining. Go to the Trade Authority and buy 300 units of Helium-3. Fill the tank and repeat.
This also adds to the difficulty at low levels; you are spending a lot of money on 'gas'. You need to check if the money you spend on gas is less than the rewards offered from the two missions you take. There is some element of planning involved, unlike vanilla. Also, its not easy to accumulate money like in vanilla when there is no fuel cost involved and u can travel for free. Every mission here has a cost. It all adds to the immersion.
With Deadly Hazards, you have track every planet and moon's atmosphere, temperature, radiation before venturing out. You have to manage your space suits and use them.
And Ascension's combat is incredible. No more bullet sponge combat. Here we really need to take cover, be tactical, use the terrain and objects to your advantage and make every shot count.
Highly recommended.

New Game+ is fun when you've got most of the powers leveled up. You can go straight to the highest level systems in your Starborn ship and wipe out entire POIs while unarmed.
"Unity Awaits" gives all artifacts and auto-completes the main quest. Just install the armillary and grav jump and you'll be at Unity.
I keep it installed so I have an easy out if I encounter any bugs or just get bored with a universe and want to start over.

Sorry for the late reply. That is a bug. They are all the same weapons rack. I placed one and copied it. I had noticed that before and replaced all of them. Apparently it still bugged. I'll see what I can do about the copilot seat. I'm currently working on some updates now for this mod
No worries, thanks for looking into it. I guess ideally is to have a centre-positioned captain's chair where the player would actually sit and control the ship (that is usually the function of a starship bridge anyway), and the two "helm" positions on the left and right shouldn't be the one used to control the ship and instead just use as a crewmember sitting position with their own console as if they're the gunners or so.
But I understand if the Ares is too narrow and small with the space to make it happen. It's fine for now, but if you could see something about having the right co-pilot seat to be interactable and have a crew member assigned to sit there, that'd be great.

New TEST version of the NPC Enhancer Gun up on Nexus. Not much has changed. I ticked a flag in the magic effect that might help with compatibility with mods that change NPC hostility.
The change skill script works fine, but the removeperk function will not remove perks from NPCs that start with them (at least Andreja's Theft and Stealth skills). It will remove perks that are added by the Gun via the addperk function. Also, some crew skills, like medicine, do not have 4 ranks. So the Gun cannot add ranks that do not exist in the base game.
The Gun has an option to strip clothing and equipment from NPCs, but it cannot reequip them. So use responsibly.
The gun also has an option to open an NPC's inventory. Whether its stealing or not will vary. I tested it on a guard in New Atlantis, no steal flags. But a guard on the Den had steal flags on their stuff so 🤷♂️
If you mean mods repeatedly downloading in Creations, its to do with mod version numbers being pulled from your save game. The mod is actually updated in your game, but the Creations menu thinks you still have an older version. Some cases are fixable, but for complex mods you'll just have to put up with it until Bethesda gets around to fixing the issue.
Can I ask, what flag did you set for compatibility with NPC hostality mods? Nobody has reported that yet for one of my mods, but as it also uses a non-hostile magic effect I'd imagine it could be affected as well.
"No Hit Event" in the Magic Effect. Tooltip says "If checked, the target does not register a hit event when struck by this effect". Before I just had "Painless" which is supposed to prevent a pain reaction, though sometimes it doesn't.
Ah OK, thanks. Mine's a little different then, I have "hostile" unchecked. That requires some xEdit tweaking as (at least at the moment) the CK greys out that option. But I'll keep those in mind if anyone reports a problem.
Just keep in mind what I did is no guarantee. Just "Painless" was working just fine with just the base game, but I was getting reports that the Gun registered as hostile when folks included stuff like Scared of Shootings, so figured I'd try to make it a little extra tamer. I did notice if I put the Gun at base damage 0 instead of 1 the script would not fire at all.

Added missing sound and lipsync to the added dialogue.
Added a skill customization option. Now you can give her a ship system skill (up to 4 ranks depending on the skill) and a ship weapon skill (3 ranks) to be on par with Constellation companions. Note, some ship system skills only have 3 or less ranks in the vanilla game.
Removed concealment so that the 2 player choice skills can be seen in the crew menu.
Tweaked her AI to be a bit braver. Let me know if she acts weird.

You should see what Cora looks like if you don’t take her under your wing and teach her to become a good starship Captain. There is a NG+ version of Starfield where Cora Coe is the only Constellation survivor. And she’s hunting you down. Now that Cora is scary looking! lol
In Starfield books are either on data pads, or there are like three or four templates for smoke,med,large,X-Large books. So they kind-of went generic and, quick and cheap in Starfield compared to Skyrim. For Skyrim they has a lot more custom meshes and textures for book to choose From. Technically the framework is still there in Starfield for adding custom assets for books and pages etc. Just no one’s done that yet.

TechPowerUp now has the DLL file from the driver for download. But if you don't want to download from third-party websites do this (that's what I did):
- Go to: C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\NGX\models\dlss\versions\20316673\files
- COPY the file "160_E658700.bin" to where you installed SF (e.g.: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield)
- In the SF folder, rename the original "nvngx_dlss.dll" to something else so you have a backup.
- In the SF folder, rename the "160_E658700.bin" you copied to "nvngx_dlss.dll"
This will get you DLSS upscaling v310.2.1 using preset K. This is what I've done and it works.
This is the new "transformer" model of DLSS that was introduced in DLSS4 (wishnVidia would fix their confusing versioning system)
If you refresh a game in the Nvidia app with the .. menu you can usually get the new driver options to show up. There is only 1 option that can be applied to Starfield at the moment. My TV only goes to 60Hz but it feels wicked responsive now with VRR turned on, Reflex on Ultra and Adaptive Vsync on in the Nvidia app. In-game Vsync off and frame gen off as well although frame gen now gives much improved input lag.
I don't use the NVApp but I'm curious: are you able to override SF's DLSS with the new one from inside the app? And confirm it works? I've been reading only a small number of games support overriding it (so far, apparently nvidia will whitelist more games in the future) and I've not seen anyone confirm the DLSS4 override works with SF .
If it works that'll be much easier than manually copying DLL files.

I don't think you'll get any benefit by replacing the DLSS files (I have tried this BTW and the game seems to run fine with the updated files but I reverted back to the original files). The thing is, the game has to support one or more of the updated features. Starfield for example has no raytracing, so those settings don't apply to it.
You can apply the Super Resolution override-> Lastest on Starfield.
Also curious if even possible and if it is why no one built it yet, the lost city atlantis on neon
I'm unable to try the new framegen stuff since I have a 40 series card anyway. Looks like this feature is coming for 40 series some time in the future though.
Input latency with frame gen on is now massively improved - almost as good as being off.
Yes but I'm only talking about the DLSS upscaling. I can confirm the reg edit shows it's using the new transformer model. I didn't try replacing the FG file because I don't use it.

I don't think you should bother replacing any files. Just use the settings in the Nvidia app. I'm currently running around in Akila City with frame gen on and seeing no screen tearing or weird juddering like I used to get when my TV is VRR (Game) mode.
I don't want to install the nvapp. 
Btw that's great news about Akila. Hopefully BGS will update the built-in DLSS to 4 (and FSR4) in a future update, so that people don't have to override it.
This is the first feature I'm interested in the nvapp. I'll let nvidia add a few more before I install it. 
The difference is pretty dramatic compared to how it was before. Frame gen had horrible input lag before on my system. Now I could just leave it on, but I don't really need it. VRR finally works properly but my TV isn't officially supported anyway.
If you're concerned about the Nvidia App auto-optimising your games and messing up the settings, simply turn off the option when you install.

Don't need boost for the most part. It simply keeps the clock speed raised when it isn't necessary. When the scene gets complicated, the card clocks up as high as your temperature limits permit.

Input latency is much better with frame gen on and the newer NV App settings. Quite playable in fact.
That's what I understood as well. Seeing as my card is under-utilised (like yours) I figured keeping the clocks high would improve things but I don't notice any difference between that and simply ON so I'd been keeping it that way for a while now. Also, nice landing with the modded Ref-8 on that POI.
I've just noticed that having VRR off and frame gen on makes the input latency really bad again. VRR off and frame gen off are fine.
btw, I noticed from your video that you have quite a bit of CPU stuttering. Highly experimental, try it at your own risk, etc. but give Save Game cleaner (Nexus) a try. I'm doing tests all day on my main char which has a lot of stuttering. Doesn't quite claw back all the performance like a brand new character but it's quite an improvement. Again, read the warnings, may blow up your save, etc. etc.
I used Save Game cleaner earlier on an old save game - see my post on Nexus about it - 84 Meg save to 49 Meg and performance much improved, back to playable.
My system is somewhat CPU limited though. The current save I'm playing has been "cleaned" by going through the Unity recently.
I saw your post then. Glad it worked for your older save. Hope this can somehow serve as a basis for BGS to figure out a solution.
Been trying out a bunch of amd settings and liking the results,
turned off amd super resolution from 1080p->1440p and just running native 1440p with fsr3 Frame-gen. Getting 178ish avg outdoors in heavily modded new atlantis. 300+ indoors
Everything ultra. With super-resolution I was getting 280-320 everywhere even outdoors and high 400s indoors, but it looks about 10% worse
Bethesda are aware of the issue. A while ago someone reported this on the support Discord and I chipped in with the things I'd tried to no avail. I was asked to upload a save (same one I ran through the Save Cleaner earlier today) so hopefully it is being worked on.

On a Keyboard it is just the spacebar. But for Xbox controller you - Push the jump button twice -- its like a double jump. Jump key on Xbox Series S/and X - is the Y key

This issue is occurring anytime I try to enter Akila City, or New Atlantis, I know it's an issue with Star Wars Aliens but I don't understand how I'm supposed to prevent this.
Disabled all of my graphics mods, I have a Crowd Reducer, and the View Distance Reducer for Series S, AND all of my display settings are set to the lowest.
It's really starting to frustrate me cause this has been happening 100% of the time for 2 days now. I don't want to uninstall the mod cause it's the one that makes it ACTUALLY feel like star wars

There are various items the NPCs wear that you can get from my other mods to have for your character. The Crowd mod just focuses on changing the crowd NPCs.

ok thats good! If you find that any of the buffs from the previous outfit before the update are stuck on your character, they should get removed if you go through unity.

Yeah with so many ship mods out there, many of them editing the NA ship services vendor, I just decided to have as minimal an impact on the vanilla game as possible and do my own vendor. I’m not at all against a patch though

for the one who needed it: These are my settings for Nvidia 4070 Super. Each computer is different. and Monitor. But this as a reference are my settings after the last update. I always turn Grass to LOW. Others do too.
Settings seem real low for that card.

LOL. 2560x1440 (16:9) monitor is 144 hz. All FPS settings are locked to 260 FPS. but in temples hits about 300 FPS.

2k 3060Ti 16:9 144hz (dual- one for looking stuff up though)... I get probably 65-85 fps tweaked, probably running her to the limit, no regerts.

Actually the vid testers early on said stay away from the Nvidia 3060 series all of them, the many I watch doing tests on youtube. Some issue they could not fix.
There may be a throttle on the 3060 series to make it strain at 60 fps and above.
I had it prior, it's what I was willing to spend at the time lol. I know it's not a preferred card.
It works, its just hard to help very much on a 3060,

I like it so far. I think if you stick with that double-diamond theme in the barrel shape to the grip guard and maybe the end of the grip you'll have a complete idea.
It looks nice. You can always say its is state of the art with gravity integrated - so there - free floating gravitic parts are there LOL.
If you get around to addons, definitely run with that diamond shape, put the attachment rail(s) on the flat side(s) of the top & bottom barrels for sights and laser etc.
I will keep this in mind and was the plan, just didn't think about keeping that diamond flow. I appreciate the feedback, I'm definitely seeing what you are seeing and I will continue that flow. Thanks a ton.

hey guys i just watched a video on falkland systems, but I want to know how it looks in new Atlantis and if it has performance issues in new atlantis. could somebody who downlaoded the mod let me know, also where is that big window looking and does it look good from the outside looking ? Screenshts would be much appreciated
It's located under the Commercial District, overlooking the waterfall under the MAST building. The first time I travelled to NA Spaceport after installing the mod, my game froze and crashed, but it only happened that once. Haven't had any other issues since.

Has anyone had a load order issue where the mod author releases a completely new version of the mod, and the old one keeps reappearing in your LO and the new one doesn't?
For me, its Zone79's EIT Clothing. The old VBB version keeps showing up, but I've deleted it, installed the new ZBB version and saved my load order (And I've been using it on my main save since it came out).
Sometimes, only when I go into Creations for whatever reason, I find the old version in my LO and the new version not there...
I might try clearing my cache (Xbox user) and redownloading all 104 mods... but that's a pain and I lose my photo gallery. 🙂
I had that issue with with a decorative clutter mod. I downloaded the originl mod and then the author updated to a version 2, but it kept loading up the version 1. I ended up deleting both mods loading onto my save then saving again. I then quit and downloaded the Version 2 of the mod and loaded back in on the newer save which had neither mods previously installed and never had the issue again. @upbeat gyro

Looking for some help from anyone with more knowledge than me, I'm trying to do a star wars playthrough, but keep running into a few issues. Some packs have lost functionality, all my perks and options related to vehicles say "lookup failed," and although I can enter the well just fine for the most part, I can't leave it because I my loading screen just freezes. I also can't wait in chairs for some reason, I'm still a little new to modding and thought changing my load order could help but I've been doing that for a few hours with no progress
Sounds like some of the mods probably never updated by authors. Also, lookup failed is due to missing string data and you could run through them disabling until you find the one that is causing it. (I have personally experienced the lookup failed in one of my own mods lol)

Yes, I'm digging Zone79's casual wear in the EIT mod, but his overhaul of the rando NPCs, including the face mod that makes those low poly peeps look so much better. Finally some wild variation across the Settled Systems. Each main city has its own vibe. NA is more upscale, Akila is more rugged and Neon is just crazy. Look at that Aurora face mask on the rave girl in the club. Plus random people have bespoke backpacks on. In the Astral lounge, and around Neon, there's an Aurora dispensing packpack, and some weird ones in Akila, with live animals or bales of hay or garbage cans with a pick up stick attached.
Oh and in Cydonia, many people have nasal O2 attachments for that dusty air...
This has really made Starfield's cities so much more interesting.
I think its a bit hard on the Xbox series X's frame rates, but its fiiine...(really need to get a PC now)

Yeah that is an issue, Its actually easier for Xbox users to flush thier Creations storage. Its a bit different for Desktop - I figured when I needed to do mine. many months ago. Creations storage likes to hold onto whatever you installed. a little irritating. I would like a simple click here to delete all your mod storage - a button. LOL

so, I started on a mod a couple days ago, and I'm stuck trying to figure out how to add a new mesh. I'm making new chunks variants and I get how to make new items in the ck, but not sure how to do anything with nifskope really

Nav Mesh is short for Navigation Mesh and that is not the same thing as a new item.
You do need Nifskope and you'll need a version that supports Starfield, but only if you're making a new model.
If you want to change how an existing model looks there is a Material Editor built into CK2, and you'll want to create a clone of an existing chunks material before you change the textures.

yeah i know that about navmesh, i never said anything about navmeshes, i was talking about replacing the meshes with NEW meshes, to be able to edit the labels on the packaging, ended up figuring it out with some trial and error though.
so, now for the fun part, how do i add the items to the leveled lists? i don't want to add them by editing the lists cause if another mod edits the lists there will be conflicts
