I used the same method I did for FO4 which obviously doesn't seem to work right.

That's my mod on Xbox. TL;DR - The process Bethesda gave us for converting and packing textures doesn't work. I found a workflow that let me pack it. But it's not compatible. Thus artifacting issues.

But it’s also like that for another mod that has a new terminal as well I believe it’s the crimson tease terminal, or something like that
I imagine it'll be like that for any non Bethesda creations.
If this doesn't work then my next option is to skip the special texture archive and just throw everything in the main. Not sure if it'll even work there, but it won't care if it's the right/wrong format at least so I don't have to hex edit the files.

To those who were having issues with my Infinite Boost Pack mod (apparently from an inexplicable conflict with some Star Wars boost pack mods, which presumably altered the default Boost Pack Training perk levels for some weird reason), I've rebuilt the mod from scratch using a standalone hidden perk instead of altering the default perk; please try updating or redownloading the mod and see if it now works with those Star Wars mods.
(I'm still not clear on how the conflict could have caused the issues described, since I only modified the existing perk entry points and changed their values, but who knows...anyway, this is a cleaner way to adjust boost pack drain and I probably should have done it this way from the start to allow others to alter default perks without overriding mine or having mine override theirs)
Apparently "checking for update" takes a while. But supposedly if you delete and redownload it should pull the new one instantly.

I saw the Spell stuff but didnt see anything for adding the perks so ive looked up online and reddit on adding perks then ive used the PerkIDs to search the CK and found the PERK ID form which returned this "ArtifactPower_AlienReanim_Rank" so basing on what i found online i then did the Perk Property

This mod will remove the perks getting added from temples by giving the player the perks when they enter Unity

Nah, i already thought about that. Its going to be changed. So someone posted a mod idea from nexus to be ported to xbox but thats part of the mod im trying to recreate but the mod itself will make the temples give essence instead of a perk.
If a player has entered Unity less than 1 times the vanilla quest line plays out but if player has entered unity >= 1 then thats when this script kicks in when entering unity and temples no longer give perks. New starborn guardians will be added and a few other things, still working out the content for it

I had 12000 credits in my account, applied interest at a 5% rate (which is going to be variable eventually) and it gave me 599.9999999999999 credits which rounded up to 600
Going to look into maybe building a dynamic economy of sorts

If it was me id take a small percentage out of all credits the player earns and if it doesnt amount to x by x time then bounty hunters get dispatched. Maybe a bounty is also placed with factions so you have EXTRA to pay for not sticking with your payment agreement?

Yeah true, but deffo make it have negative debuff if the player refuses to pay in some way, kills the bounty hunters which then results in a faction bounty then have to pay the extra money which couldve been saved by paying in the first place haha

170 lines of code with comments and unused custom functions that can be called like events (since we can't add events yet)
No e I know the game does need some parts that add more curvy blended feel to the ships.
An idea I had was a landing gear that drops down like a cargo lift from your ship so you can make ships that sit higher off the ground.. for larger ships that way they don't clip into new Atlantis

The economyFactor will eventually by dynamic or at least that's the plan
Atm it just sets the interest rate to 5% lol
But basically that float will adjust depending on certain factors and then the interest rate will adjust

If so go to your app data folder, go to local, find starfield and delete the catalog txt
Then what I had to do was delete all data of the game from my consol and try again. Probably have conflicts in your load order

I had to do it a couple times before I found what was wrong. On my download a few mods at a time. Then test them and repeat.
I had this issue when I downloaded the Play as a Chiss mod. The Furnished Starborn Ship was causing this too but that was fixed recently.

That one was weird because it would happen even with the mod disabled 🤦🏾♂️
On the bright side I only recently downloaded a couple mods so it had to be one of them

Think I figured out how to allow custom number entry for deposits and withdrawls. If I basically keep prompting a player for a number and then they basically write out the number using the numbers 0-9 and then a confirm option....then basically concatenate those numbers together and then you can withdraw or deposit that

@teal wedge You can try to disable/delete those mods... In the mods menu, go to the mod description page of each mod and disable/delete them. The options will be greyed out at first, press b and click back in a few times and you should be able to click on them.

I need to figure out if I can change the currency system a little to incentivize using the bank more
Like limit it somehow to incentivize using the bank as a storage for your credits
What I'll probably do is make the stock market and other stuff go into your bank account. If I could somehow hijack the quest rewards and send those to the bank that would be even cooler because then you have to use it to withdraw funds
Though.....there is one flaw with this mod most likely. Once the timer is set up for interest, you can game it by waiting on venus I think
deleted some saves and reloaded, not sure which helped but it's good to go for now

It did not. It only applied it once. Well that works out I guess. So you can't game it because the sleep wait menu stops it from happening multiple times

Well I'm not entirely sure how to get it to apply multiple times. I'm using StartTimerGameTime with the timer set to 168 game hours. So theoretically if the timer kept going it would be applied 28 times but the sleep wait menu blocks it from occuring more than once during that wait

So if they want to add an apartment they add to the rent system or a house to the mortgage system or create a player shop that you can rent out, then you just use the system
And I want a mod that gets rid of the magical added bounty you get when you attack a faction when there’s no other ship with that ship
Or if they want to add companies to the stock market, then they just use the system

I wanna go beyond what stock market of skyrim did and allow other modders to add their own companies to the stock market along with events and stuff for quests and things

I think they next thing I'm going to script out is the loan system! At least the base functionality. Not working on the bounty hunters yet. I want to make sure you can take loans out and pay them back

Re: Cheat Mods and skill mods - only choose one. We've had someone in my server attempt to use everything available and the leveling system has canceled out and pretty much broke their save game.
But do they? Not everyone has been modding FO4 or Skyrim. There are 14m players now whereas there were very few for the other games.
Quickest way I can test if the aid items are working again is to purposely break my leg, I'm on Akila so it's perfect

I do not have 3DS Max. My understanding is that you export to FBX and then convert with Asset Watcher. The BGS plugin has the .mat file creation for the blynn? blinn? (Sorry. I do not know the spelling.)

The info that I have is still under WIP so I'm not sure how accurate it currently is. As I said I do not have 3DS Max to check anything.
Basically: you'll need to create an ini to direct to your materials unpacked in your project folder and a source folder.
There's currently a bug with several functions in the CK that direct the source to outside the Steam Starfield directory. So that might be problematic. My suggestion for the moment is to make your models and then wait for Bethesda to complete the instructions.

Like to take out a loan I just do cqf 53000AD0 ApproveLoan 10000 and then it checks my credit, if it's acceptable and the amount isn't past my limit, then it'll aprove it and set the terms (interest rate, loan term) and then add the credits to the bank account.
But I can basically use a terminal or NPC to interact with the bank or loan script and do the same thing, just without the freeform input of the console
Oh and your credit score does change already 🙂 If you miss payments or get denied for a loan it goes down
a terminal is likely more immersive than an unvoiced npc

I would say remote given having a home in the UC while not being a citizen is kinda eh for role-players
I like the idea of padding out the surrounding area. Feels more realistic than big city surrounded by nothing.

I recently built across the lake from New Atlantis. It was nice being able to quickly fast travel to anywhere in New Atlantis from my scanner while standing in my outpost. it also meant I didn't have to use a ship landing pad bc I could just land in new Atlantis and travel to my home. the view was nice.
the sun would rise over the mountain and into the bedroom window..... I did math so it would shine on a thing I placed over the bed
it would reflect lights into the room
love those views
the remote location I picked has a pad

anything pretty that won't take a lot of fuel to get to should do. breathable atmosphere preferred so the NPCs aren't just standing outside in space suits.
one of the mods I will be porting will have Oxygen generators to fix that problem

honestly this game by far has given us the best sandbox to play in period
where else can you play a game where you can toss a beer bottle from the top of a skyscraper player for years and randomly one day years later find that same beer bottle rolling around somewhere

Honestly having a completely enclosed estate on a barely habitable world would be kinda cool.
Like there's some nice looking moons I've found where when the sun rises between the mountains it's gorgeous

What’s the difference in Unofficial Starfield patch and the Community Patch. I know the community patch is made by a team, but what’s the difference in the mods and are they supposed to both be used?
The community patch is owned by the community and not one specific team. There are people running the show but they aren't the sole owners of it. The other one is ran by Arthmoor and his team.

Ultimately they will both fix things but it's up to you which one you use

I tried both and it seems that the unofficial is working for me. When I changed to the other my fall damage was ridiculous

I would recommend looking at the notes for both and see which more suits your needs in terms of fixes
As well as playing around with them and seeing which one works better for you
or use neither and enjoy the bugs as meant to!

tbh using them this early in the game will probably cause more issues down the pipeline as BGS fixes over what they might have fixed a different way
Bethesda won't get to all of them or fix them all properly tbh. Some mods may require one or the other though
To my knowledge the community patch verifies fixes from beth and if they did fix it they remove it from the patch but I could be wrong
I don't know about the unofficial patch team though since I don't use their stuff anymore
They’ve both got change logs posted to their websites. Given that the devs are still updating the game and there’s a major expansion coming, any bugs should be reported to Bethesda and both teams.

It would be better to not spread misinformation. Both teams are teams and both have mod authors who have been modding for a while

There’s gotta be a way to verify certain mods because I’m tired of installing one only for it to break my game and have to completely uninstall and reinstall it.
Unfortunately there isn’t. The tools for Xbox aren’t up to date yet. Everything for Xbox is PC and it doesn’t work.
So you have to make sure if you’re using textures, you do a full power cycle to clear the cache or only choose a couple.
When you update a mod, write down where it was in your load order, delete the whole mod, and reinstall.
Nothing we can do about it for the moment. Just enjoy the ones we have for now. There’s some nice ones .

I write my load order down bc of this lol. But that’s a habit from my Skyrim days a decade ago.

Ah. That’s not the graphics card. 🙂 I had a little laptop when I first started modding FO4. It would barely run the FO4 CK. It took me a year to save up for a new computer. lol
Nope, nothing changed and the mod is still there. You can always search for my mods by my username, since I add it to the bottom of each description.
Subscribed to it from creations.bethesda.net, but I can't see the creation in-game. Playing on PC.

I don't really want to create a mod in CK from scratch; in my case it's very inconvenient. I'll wait a bit, hopefully SF support will appear in xEdit soon and then I'll convert and publish the mod in CC. Well, if the xEdit update is delayed, then I’ll try it in CK. Maybe in a week or two.

Found. Ok, but I saw a discussion about this method on the xEdit discord and it looks more like a bug. But I will try to place the current version in this way, temporarily, until it becomes possible to properly convert the mod to light or medium. I'll do this tomorrow. Is there any confirmation that mods saved in this way work normally on xbox?
