You just need new bearings… or take those apart, clean them and re-grease them. That should fix your troubles

Yeah they definitely shouldn’t be glued in. I’d suggest trying with a bearing puller or use your trucks to push the bearings out… if they seriously are glued in, that’s a bummer… donate that old board to a kid and grab a new one 😝

Kind of all depends on your location for pricing, but to build your own deck on average(in US at least) can be anywhere from like $100-$150 depending on parts you pick. Getting a prebuilt can be in that price point as well.

For brands you can’t go wrong with classics like Zero, Element, Blind, Birdhouse, Baker or Enjoi… but there are so many more as well

On average(if building your own, which I suggest to anyone seriously interested in skateboarding) you can get a solid deck for around $80, the bearings around $13-$20(depending on brand), trucks for $25each, and some good wheels for $25 and then some grip tape for a few extra bucks.
Of course you can always add riser pads or grind rails as well, if interested for a little extra.

For your first deck though you’re good getting a prebuilt to practice with!

Have access to a heater? Hold the wheels nearby and see if the heat will loosen that glue you said is on bearings. Then use something to try pushing them out

You should be able to just unscrew the nuts, slide the wheels off with ease. The bolts shouldn’t be giving you too much trouble, it’s the bearings that are a little more work to pull out… and bearings are one size

So a trick I’ve learned over the years for getting stubborn bolts off is to slightly tighten them, then try loosening them.(works with lids on jars as well lol) Sometimes that does help unstick them, but you did mention you were trying that to no avail

I like to bring a lot of those things not only for myself but if anyone else needs them it's a great way to get noticed. Bring all this in a backpack or carry bag of sorts something with enough space and then some is helpful

Get harder wheels , mines are 100a and i only ride rough concrete bowls and other rough surfaces , the harder the wheels the smoother the rough terrain or atleast rideable it will become , the harder the wheels the harder it is to ride on surfaces like wood tho so if you not to comfy 98a is what i will always recommend if you want to have best of both worlds

Bigger wheels also help , i ride 55m and came from 52 massive improvement overall

Well, if you mean that your body is turning 90 degrees when you try to do a kickflip, maybe pay attention to your shoulders, they should be square/parallel with the board.

If you mean that the board is turning, then your back foot is not popping straight down. Either that or your flicking foot is doing something wrong.

It might sound a little goofy, but practice freestyle tricks. I am unbalanced as a mf but in my opinion I think freestyle helps with balence quite a bit. Try learning beginner freestyle tricks, they can be difficult but it will help with balence.

Also try kick turns, but dont rotate yourself to fast. Tbh it is better to learn kick turns at a comfortable speed, and then over time try to do them slower, it requires more balence and control.

A wider board can also help this if you're struggling for balance, decent trainers or skate shoes may also help.
But also just practise tbh you'll get better the more you skate, even stationary just practise balancing on it with one foot (this helps because when you push of course one foot is off the board) and just practice pushing around more and more
When beginning you kinda have to drill yourself, your body / muscle memory into doing certain things. It'll take some time though, especially if you have never skated before

But yeh if you're trying to skate in the road soft wheels will also help

Yes and no, they are good for beginners I'd recommend loosen the nuts on your wheels if do you since most of the time they're too tight on the bearings stopping them from rolling smoothly and the tighten/loosen the trucks until you feel comfortable switching your weight left and right

depends how much you weight, because those board are really breakable. If you are under ~75kg, its fine, if above i would suggest you to buy per-built skateboard from a legitemate skateboard place/site.

@outer surge id recommend against a walmart board even for beginners what you wanna aim for is this https://www.skatewarehouse.com/ or a skateshop like it that sells boards and orders them into the shop in bulk.. Plus you support core skate brands.

If you dont know much about setups contact support tell them shoe size and height and they will pick you out the best setup just like snowboard shop or other places !

@ashen sail Grizzly grease is supposed to be slick. I like toy machine though they have some cool waxes and other stuff on that site i linked also its a registered skate shop in san jose CA and i ordered all my skate stuff there for years before i moved to local shops.

Congratulation!!!!!!! 🙏Since I started I never could kick flip, I only do heel, but its automatic already xD I suffer with kick now, after 7-8 years I just came to the conclusion that: “okay, after this much I should be able not to just do, laser from ledges, varial heel, shuvits and etc, I should start mixing it up with kick flips and the other direction🙏

Yeah, that's the best option, because complete boards are just like custom ones. Avoid darkstar, bacause their decks are not that durable. When you get the hang of your board then you can replace parts you want and maybe sell the old ones as used 😉

I think the most important part is the deck. Baker is the most popular i think. I have sour solutions deck and it is really good. I've been off the board for like 4 years, so things could've changed in this time. Try reading reviews and check skate community groups, but i think baker is a solid choice
