You can remove the truck and if a new one doesn't work, you can put the old one back in, shouldnt be a problem. But i'm guessing thats a surfksate right? The truck in the front moves differently from a skateboard truck, it's supposed to simulate the surfing movement

I think they are a bit more narrow. Cruiser trucks are more similar to a skateboard truck than the surfskate one. So i'm not sure a cruiser truck or a skateboard truck would fit the surfskate board. Maybe it would be better to take it to a skateshop and see if they can help you there, they can check the different size of the trucks, the distance between the bolts, and stuff like that

i agree, if you want to get into skateboarding its good to start with the traditional skateboard trucks to get used to the movement. I'm just not sure if the normal trucks would fit perfectly in that board, but might be worth giving it a try

Should've added that it was a surfskate.
That's just the mount for the trucks. The trucks and the surfskate front mount can be seperated just fine. If you remove the mount on the front and the risers on the back, reattatch just the trucks, it will ride like a normal cruiser

As long as the hole mounts line up, absolutely! Only thing to watch out for is maybe wheel bite. You wouldn't think it would be an issue being so high up about the way they swing side to side it can still be an issue sometimes.

Some surfskate mounts are one piece with the trucks like carver makes them. But a lot of others are attachments like the Waterborne brand is

Scrapes, bruises, cuts and rashes are inevitable. You will bail but this should not discourage you.

I'm a fellow out of shape newcomer (er, returning, but I haven't skated since I was 12 so I'm basically new) so I'm in the same boat as you.

Second off, I'd also consider doing some yoga or stretches. This'll loosen up your body and keep you nimble, and prevent you from pulling a muscle or tearing something.

Finally, get comfortable cruising around and navigating your area before you get started learning tricks. You'll learn lots of the tenants of balance & board control which will make learning ollies easier and safer.

Wheels are rated by durometer, most wheels range from 78a to 101a. 78's super soft and can go over just about anything, 101a is super hard and mostly for skating parks that don't have any pebbles/cracks. My roads are rough asphalt but I'm looking to do tricks and stuff so I'm shooting for 95a.

be aware of your limits as well don’t ever push it hard most for he pros gives something jsut a couple tries before moving on to avoid injuries getting hurt is gonna happen it jsut comes with the sport but you can always do what you can to reduce how often it happens

Big piece of advice I can give is find somewhere smooth to practice learning balance & maneuvering. I don't know what it's like in Southern Europe (I live in the US) but if you can find something like a basketball court or an empty parking lot or just some kind of open smooth space that you won't get in trouble for skating, that's a great place to practice.

On the topic of living somewhere with rough terrain though, I'm thinking about getting either Powell Dragons or some Formula Four spitfires.

just wanted to join the discussion and tell you i started skating after my 30s. One of the best things I added to my life. Im not exactly in shape but i did exercise regularly before i started skating. Definetely helped me, but i think you should start skating as soon as you can. Its a great exercise in itself, just take it slowly and smart, do things according to your level, cruise around to build balance and get out of the board if you star getting too fast or uncomfortable with the terrain, examine the ground where you are skating to make sure its smooth enough, and if you wanna try tricks, hold on to something, these things help a lot in keeping you safe. The better you get, the more things you can start to test safely.

But if you can, add stretches and exercises to your routine, skating is a great workout, but having a stronger body definetely helps if and when you fall.

Definetely watch the Mitchie Brusco video about learning how to fall, thats something i'm still struggling with, but its important to try and fall correctly. Getting at least a bit hurt is part of skating, but the enjoyment you get out of it is way greater

Those are scary indeed, specially since as an adult you have to work and cant have people around just taking care of you all the time. I try to see it like this: I have heard cases of people who broke bones or sprankled their ankles slipping on a curb just while walking, so these things can happen even when you're not doing anything too different. I thought that since theres such a risk, i might as well get hurt doing something I love. Besides by strenghtening your body and developing your balance, you get a better chance against injuries that could happen in day to day life

i agree. Its easier to get started, you'll get parts with similar qualities and you can start riding as soon as you get the board. Setting up your own board can take a few hours, and unless you're really hyped to skate you might get disencouraged by the whole proccess

Also, after you have a complete skateboard, you can start changing each each part to test out what you like. Youll then have spare parts in case anything breaks and will see how each of them afect your skating

ccs completes are good for starting out...I've had a couple friends skate them before
granted they're not going to feel as good/be as durable as "actual" brands but it's probably one of the best budget decks you can start with
If you have the money for it, i'd say build your own complete
i'd recommend bones bearings as a must...everything else is down to a preference, like i skate indy trucks, but they're known to be heavier than other...they have "Hollows" but they feel a little different from other light trucks..wheels anything really that's 92A...i ride spitfire
and grip...whatever again, though if you want to rip your shoes in half in a week, go with mob..but anything works..pick what you like first

To Any people that know about skateboards, I’m trying to buy a cheap but good skateboard to start learning. I found a supposedly new 23$ globe g2 skateboard on trendyol and asking ai it told me that I need to be cautious because they are usually about triple that price but if it’s a clearance deal it’s possible. What do y’all think ? The seller on trendyol seems to sell globe and enuff skateboards for proper prices 50/100$ and scooters and shoes for skating etc. and has good reviews with pictures but not skateboard pictures. And this one I stumbled across was on sale and was originally 60$

I don't typically trust resellers, but only because my eye for fakes would be bad. If it is a fake, it might just like, snap in half, or ride like a walmart board with a cool deck. If you can risk the money to buy a cheaper board I think you can go a little bit higher. Do you know lots about skating? Completes are typically not what I recommend or EVER see recommended, but if you just want to try it, there is cheaper options than $200

I definitely wanna start off cheap because I’m not sure if I’m gonna be that into skating after a year or something. because I’m pretty sure the closest skate park to me is like a 1 hour drive and it’s tiny. and whenever I attempted to ride a board I almost die instantly 😃👍🏼. But with this game I’ve gotten way more into it and been watching stuff. So I just wanna try it out for sure.

I would try a walmart board. $20. See if you like ollying and riding in a straight line on the street near you. If you know you love the hobby and are into it, spending the $200 becomes a very strong recommend from me

In from Saudi aint no Walmarts here lol. Toysrus are probably the only place that sells remotely proper cheap skateboards that I know of. No skateshops no nothing. So I’m looking online and most of the 20$ options are not branded so I was surprised that I found this globe one and when looking up globe, it’s a respectable brand

spitfire formula 4s for wheels and with trucks did you like the way the royals and thunders felt? if so stick with em otherwise indys are a really solid choice

i got royal ultra lights myself and i’m loving them so far

Don't forget it's not just the weight of the trucks, but the pairing of how high a tuck is with how high or mellow the tail of the deck is can change how the pop is and how heavy the board feels
