ive never been able to really get good keyframes for when i pop a trick

skate as a series always fascinated me on how much it was an evolution over all the tony hawk games and their clones

not digging on tony hawk but it is very clearly a series that started in the N64/PS1 days with its controls and physics

skate's physics are super impressive and there was nothing quite like it before it released

where your skater and your board have realistic hitboxes that respond to physics impacts and forces semi-realistically

when you look at some of the fancier stuff you can do in Skate like hippy flips they're such a good example of how amazing the physics are compared to something like tony hawk

I think when I realized Skate 3 was special was when I was doing the big down ramp into jump at the quarry and I did a superdude and the board hit the beam and was knocked super cleanly right out of my hands and my character's ragdoll continued flying

seriously as an extreme sports game this series is something special with how incredibly dynamic the physics are

until I played Skate 3 there was really nothing quite like it, of the games I played.

and usually the first trailer for a game will come out a long while before the actual release

When you swing the pendulum too far either way - too arcadey or too much simulation, you miss that sweet spot of fun that appeals to more folks.
