for instance the flying carpet glitch started with me noticing that props are moved around by your skateboard during drop ins, finding a way to have that happen when standing on a prop, finding a way to embed the skateboard even deeper into the wooden palette, and finally culminating in combining it with the glitch where you can drop stuff through your skater using the object dropper to invent the Space Elevator glitch, which is one of the most all time useful glitches I've discovered

the basically layered the code from skate added some textures and some level design and chucked another game out. the joys of EA crunching wanting the next one before anyone has thought hey that was a great game

Back then, they wanted to push skate to be a madden or nba2k but, it just doesnt work
You just need one skate game, with continuous updates and gear/map drops

there are some glitches that can happen in normal gameplay but they're rare and hard to reproduce

I've had my skater pop-bail off of ledges and stuff but again that's really rare and it's like the only glitch you'll ever see that interferes with normal gameplay

I don't like the perception that skate 3 is "glitchy" or unfinished because it's not accurate

the accurate thing to say about skate 3 is "they fixed the right bugs"

You need to go out of your way in terms of the normal gameplay to glitch the game, for most glitches that means doing a glitch intentionally but for some it means messing around with props or pedestrians which are not part of the "core" gameplay experience

it's really upsetting because you can get around the fix by unpatching the game but you can't do that with the digital version which is the only version you get on Xbox One (putting in the disc downloads the digital version)

Yeah you would either have to build the park on emulator and get the parks on to your console or play the 360 version and unpatch the game and save it to your cloud for Xbox 1

unpatching PS3 is so trivially easy that I recommend that version over the 360 version on top of glitching involving the zombie cheat code being easier on PS3 due to autocomplete

there is an Xbox 360 exclusive glitch that lets you play as skeleton or meat man online and that's the only glitch exclusive to that version

having to type Zombie every time on the 360 or xbone version sucks whereas if you've already typed it on PS3 it's like 2 button presses to type it again

glitches that require the Zombie cheat generally require you to type it 2 times per attempt

this was a major frustration during one of my collaborations with Vinesauce because I didn't realize the 360's virtual keyboard didn't have autocomplete

so it made that glitch a lot more time consuming

especially since the flying carpet glitch can require a few attempts to get a good result

since you can't control it, the pallet's trajectory is pretty much completely random

so it might immediately just crash into a wall
