1. When I load the game, it spawns me in the darkness under a building, anyone else had this?
2. I don't have any challenges on my map at all. I'm on PC and have been told to restart but that makes no difference

I've only been on this game a few days, and it's now unplayable since I'm constantly spawned under a building. Is there a way to drop in somewhere else? I can set way points on the map but cannot get out from under the building

After the tuto you take the boat to san van , if i remember correctly ( it's been a while since i did the tuto ) you should have a blue line in front of you that will lead you to the first mission in san van

Community parks aren't AI, they don't have that tech for map creation in their engine. They were just made by somebody who doesn't skate and has no idea how a skatepark works. A lot of the parks had the same weird design choices you see in local irl skateparks designed by boomers.
But they do seem to have changed them recently, probably in response to the poor feedback they were getting.

Imean im not even saying skate is a bad game. Skate is a great game, the animations are probably the cleanest out of any game ive played, the collision physics and active ragdoll when bailing are impressive, the dynamic cloth physics are impressive. My problem is with the direction the developers took. They could have either released a full game, which considering its EA, they can definitly pay enough people to pull that off fairly quickly. They could have released real early access instead of treating game development in seasons like fortnite kinda did. Most importantly they could have decided not to ditch what the game is literally about; skating, in place for focusing more commercializing the game via a item shop to buy cosmetics when again, its EA, they have the money.

im the opposite now, i was really into it only 4 months back until they dropped the update that "fixed" all the physics and such, now its a skill issue on my end entirely but it felt like i lost 500+hrs of muscle memory overnight and that was it for me, also the animations are so hideous still 🤮 but i dont regret my time in the game at all

Yeah. I think i remmeber that update, and im still very upset about the camera change. In my opinion atleast, setting the camera pitch and follow hight to max literally made the game look similar to XL. The camera would follow your pitch and movement up and down as you went into the air, and when it was reallt aggressive it made the game incredibly smooth. Now it feels like rubbing sandpaper on my eyes

pros don't reallt matter allthough i do think that they should have character moddels skating in some of the challenges. i wouldn't say im overly invested in the game my stance is more so based on the fact that its a free game that will continue to gets features and updates added to it regularly becuase its a live service game which i can only observe as a good thing. its titled as an early access game due to the fact that theyre still actively developing things for the game but have enough to release for people to play. i just think people are observing the game with rose tinted glasses or unnecessary malice because if it really sucked that bad then why not just play something else since there isn't a shortage of skate games to play

My stance is based in a more political perspective between the working class, elites, and capitalism generally. But I can get where youre coming from. Objectively theres no way other than up at this point in time since theyre adding more and more. But my opinion is just that they clearly have the resources and ability to give us a more faithful rendition of what we have now.

But as fortnite-ey as it is, im just happy im absolutely unable to play as people like Peter Griffin or Darth Vader. Atleast thats one of the more realistic things the game has got going on.

i mean pros it would add to feel of the game but not everyone skates and seeing pros in challenges versus the characters in the game i guess would be more interesting to me becuase it could add more to the existing lore to the game. idk if i want to see pros ill throw on a skate part i just dont rlly see a huge purpose for it in the game versus other things that could be added. also not everyone skates and to the people who dont the pros are just another face on the screen
