@lapis moss i see. If i remember correctly that's the area where you MUST do something. So it's up to you to check the list and see what it requests you to do within that area (i can't remember anymore). If nothing is showing, try go to missions menu and trigger it again or read there what it says

Not sure what my grind assist is at but not sure why that would play a part? All I know is frequently I’ll slowly ride and grind a rail, then when I come off the rail and hit the pavement my dude is flying full speed. Totally ruins it.

open your file browser and type %localappdata%\Skate\data into the address bar and delete the folder with a bunch of random letters/numbers
that usually fixes weird problems like that. you'll lose your camera settings in game but i think everything else should be fine

this should only happen if you do a flip trick AND start holding B/Circle before the grab animation starts. So if your muscle memory has you pressing Grab+Circle/B simultaneously for no foot grabs, odds are Circle/B registers the press first and thus starts the dark catch. So make sure you're pressing the grab first and delaying pressing B/Circle a bit.

i try to make an effort to grab absolutely first before O but would like to be more lose with my controls. i play very casually and the O for dark catches is rather annoying when I know R1 is the alt grab button (handplants)

When I load into the game from the home screen I splash into water, and then spawn next to the pizza shop. No buttons work other than taking a screenshot or going back to the PlayStation home screen.

I looked at the soft lock issue but I'm not in the middle of a mission, it's on the initial game load. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to submit though.

A soft lock just means you can't progress at all in the game
The reason you're seeing a lot of the mission ones is because that was the most common soft lock

@fickle granite can you next time try this: the moment you are falling into the water, quickly open the map with the touch pad and quickly fast travel to a fast travel point. Funny enough earlier today i fell in the water and it did let me fast travel to a friend, so maybe if you open the map quick enough, it will let you do it, hopefully 🙏🏻

You could also log into your account on PC then see if you can teleport or progress it there, then load the save back on PS
